Abstract

The purpose of this community service is to increase the knowledge of the elderly about health, namely by doing rheumatic prevention and exercises. The media is used for counseling leaflets and practicing rheumatic gymnastics movements. The method used is by giving post-tests and pret-tests. The results of this activity obtained elderly knowledge at the time of the Pret Test as much as 40% had poor knowledge and increased during the post-test by 70% with good knowledge.  It is hoped that increasing knowledge and doing rheumatic gymnastics movements at the integrated service post and at home can prevent or reduce rheumatic symptoms in the elderly.

Abstract

Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever (DHF) is an endemic disease that remains a public health challenge in tropical regions. Various studies show that socio-demographic factors and community behavior play an important role in influencing the risk of DHF transmission. This review aims to analyze these factors based on findings from international and national journals. The writing method used a literature review of 15 journal articles examining research results related to sociodemographic variables, preventive behaviors, and environmental conditions that influence the incidence of DHF. The results of the study show that population density, education level, income, age, housing conditions, and prevention practices such as 3M, water storage management, and community participation are associated with an increase or decrease in the risk of DHF. Behavioral and environmental factors have been proven to contribute significantly to the presence of larvae and the opportunity for transmission. In conclusion, efforts to control dengue fever need to consider behavior-based approaches and the sociodemographic characteristics of the local community.

Abstract

The behavior of pregnant women in conducting ANC visits remains a challenge in the success of the ANC program. The behavior of pregnant women visiting ANC remains a challenge at the Meral Community Health Center, with coverage of K1 (75.3%), K4 (69.3%), and K6 (64.3%) not meeting the 2024 SPM. This study aims to analyze maternal behavioral factors and health promotion strategies in the 2025 ANC program using a mixed method convergent design. The sample consisted of 130 respondents, 5 stakeholders, and 5 postpartum mothers. Quantitative analysis used multiple logistic regression, while qualitative analysis used triangulation of sources, methods, and data. This study found that K1 was 88.5%, K4 was 85.4%, and K6 was 43.8%. There is a significant relationship between knowledge (p=0.018, POR=6.610, CI: 1.383-31.672), attitude (p=0.002, POR=3.550, CI: 1.574-8.008), and husband's support (p=0.003, POR=3.395, CI: 1.558-8.292) with the behavior of pregnant women. Knowledge is the most dominant factor (POR=6.610). Advocacy is carried out through cross-sector workshops and budget submissions to the Regent/BPKAD, although participation is still low. Cultivating an atmosphere supported by facilities such as air conditioning, priority services, and ultrasound, but educational media are not optimal. Empowerment has been carried out, but human resources are limited. Cross-sector partnerships exist, but coordination and understanding are still weak. Meral Health Center needs to develop community-based innovations integrated with education, family support, and service digitalization

Abstract

Tuberculosis (TB) remains a significant public health problem in Indonesia, including in Pekanbaru City, which has shown a relatively high trend of cases in recent years. TB cases in Pekanbaru remain high, with 1,685 cases in 2024 and 1,616 cases in 2025. In the working area of Karya Wanita Public Health Center, there were 58 cases, with slum areas accounting for 8.57%. This study aimed to analyze the relationship between home environmental conditions, socioeconomic factors, behavior, and settlement conditions with the incidence of tuberculosis in the working area of the Karya Wanita Public Health Center, Pekanbaru City. This study employed a quantitative analytical approach with a case-control study design. The research was conducted in the working area of the Karya Wanita Public Health Center, Pekanbaru City, from February to March 2026. The total sample consisted of 174 respondents, including 58 TB cases and 116 non-TB controls. Data were collected through interviews using questionnaires and observations of housing conditions. Data analysis was performed using univariate analysis, bivariate analysis with the Chi-square test, and multivariate analysis using logistic regression. The results showed that, in the multivariate analysis, variables significantly associated with TB incidence were house ventilation (p=0.040; OR=5.929), residential density (p=0.047; OR=4.754), type of floor (p=0.044; OR=9.707), income (p<0.001; OR=41.207), and settlement conditions (p=0.048; OR=0.164). Income was identified as the most dominant factor associated with TB incidence. Meanwhile, lighting, humidity, mask-wearing habits, education, and occupation were not statistically significant but were retained in the model as confounding variables. The logistic regression model produced a Nagelkerke R Square value of 0.773, indicating that the variables included in the model explained 77.3% of the variation in TB incidence. The study concludes that home environmental conditions and socioeconomic factors, particularly income, play an important role in the occurrence of tuberculosis. TB control efforts should focus on improving housing environmental
