Abstract

Estô is a deeply rooted social tradition in Madurese society, reflecting values of selfless devotion, respect, and solidarity between individuals. This study aims to examine how the practice of estô is applied in Madurese society, particularly in relation to Kiai and the Blater community, and how it contributes to strengthening social bonds and maintaining harmony in the face of modernization challenges. The research employed a qualitative approach, using in-depth interviews and participatory observation in several villages on Madura Island. The findings show that while the practice of estô remains relevant, factors such as individualism, the influence of technology, and social change have impacted its execution. The community tends to prefer more practical forms of assistance, such as digital money transfers, over direct involvement in social activities. However, the core values of estô-solidarity, devotion, and mutual respect-remain intact despite changes in its form. This study concludes that although the methods of implementing estô have evolved, the essence and fundamental principles of the practice remain relevant and adaptable to modern times, preserving social solidarity in Madurese society. The preservation and strengthening of estô’s values are crucial for maintaining cultural identity and fostering harmonious social relationships in the future.

Abstract

This study aims to theoretically describe the design of training programs. Using the library research method, this study is expected to provide a detailed explanation of its objectives. The findings indicate that the implementation of training programs involves several key stages, starting from identifying training needs that focus on skill gaps and organizational goals to designing and evaluating training programs. Training programs should be designed to meet the specific needs of participants and training objectives while considering available resources. Therefore, training design includes selecting relevant materials and setting clear goals. Effective training should demonstrate the relationship between educational theory and training practices, analyze training needs, and ensure follow-up actions that enhance the management of education and training programs. Thus, a training program design based on the identification of needs and organizational objectives can improve training effectiveness, ensure goal achievement, and support the optimal development of participants' competencies.

Abstract

A conceptual framework is a fundamental element in scientific research, serving as a guide to understanding the relationships between concepts and variables. This study explores various perspectives on conceptual frameworks, including definitions from experts, types of conceptual frameworks, and methods for their formulation. Several commonly used types of conceptual frameworks include deductive, inductive, conceptual, theoretical, and empirical frameworks, each with distinct characteristics and approaches. Additionally, this study outlines systematic steps in constructing a conceptual framework, starting from problem identification and literature review to the development of a conceptual model. A thorough understanding of conceptual frameworks enables researchers to conduct more structured analyses and produce valid findings that contribute to the advancement of knowledge. Thus, a well-developed conceptual framework plays a crucial role in ensuring the quality and coherence of scientific research.

Abstract

This study examines the resilience of the protangèn tradition in the Madurese community amid modernization, focusing on three aspects: its adaptation to change, its role in maintaining reciprocity ethics, and its relevance in modern society. Using a qualitative approach with in-depth interviews and participatory observation in Madura and its diaspora, the findings reveal that protangèn serves as a vital pillar in strengthening social solidarity and kinship ties, embodying moral values such as equality and mutual cooperation. Although modernization has transformed its practices—shifting toward financial aid or digital platforms—the tradition remains integral to Madurese life. A key challenge is declining participation among the younger generation, influenced by modern lifestyles. However, core values like reciprocity and solidarity persist. Preserving and promoting protangèn is crucial to ensure future generations uphold its ethical principles, even as its practices evolve with contemporary demands.

Abstract

Character-based education is crucial in shaping a generation that is not only academically intelligent but also possesses strong moral values. One approach applied at MI Nururrahmah is the Kurikulum Cinta, which aims to instill values such as love, empathy, tolerance, and justice. Although this curriculum has been implemented, there are various obstacles and challenges in the process. This study aims to analyze the implementation of Kurikulum Cinta at MI Nururrahmah, including the obstacles faced, the potential available, and the support needed to optimize its implementation. This research uses a descriptive qualitative approach with data triangulation techniques through interviews, observations, documentation, and questionnaires distributed to the teachers of MI Nururrahmah. The data obtained is analyzed to identify the barriers, potential, and support in the implementation of Kurikulum Cinta. The results show that although Kurikulum Cinta has been well implemented, there are some obstacles, such as egoistic attitudes in some students and limitations in time and learning facilities. However, support from the head of the madrasah and active involvement of parents provide great potential to strengthen the implementation of this curriculum. Teacher training programs also play an important role in improving the quality of value-based teaching. Kurikulum Cinta at MI Nururrahmah has shown positive results in shaping students' character, despite some challenges in its implementation. More varied strategies, increased support from parents and the head of the madrasah, as well as improvements in facilities and teacher training, are needed to maximize the implementation of this curriculum.

Abstract

The discourse on the deep learning approach in education, initiated by the Minister of Education and Culture at the end of 2024, suggests that pesantren, with their unique patterns, have implemented this approach within their teaching traditions. This research aims to demonstrate that Pesantren Puncak Darussalam has applied the deep learning approach in its educational practices. The study employs a qualitative approach using a case study method at Islamic Education Puncak Darussalam in Poto’an Dajah, Palengaan, Pamekasan. The research sources include primary data obtained from interviews with ustadz and students, as well as secondary data that supports the primary data, which consists of documentation and relevant literature. Data collection involved interviews, observations, and documentation, while data analysis was conducted through data condensation, presentation, and conclusion drawing. The main finding indicates that Pesantren Puncak Darussalam shares a similar learning process pattern with the deep learning approach, reflected in the pillars of meaningful learning, mindful learning, and joyful learning. This is evidenced by critical, interactive, reflective, and enjoyable learning experiences using traditional methods such as sorogan, bandongan, and ikhtisyaf. It is hoped that this research will serve as a scholarly narrative demonstrating the superiority of pesantren as a prototype for the deep learning approach.

Abstract

Education and training participants are an image where a person has changes after attending the training itself. This can be pursued with the abilities managed by the teacher according to their field of competence, because the teacher's task is not only about thinking about how the material is delivered, but also how the material provided can be influence the productivity of training participants. The objectives of this research are three things, 1) knowing the participants' expectations, 2) knowing the encouragement and motivation, and 3) knowing the performance and learning patterns of the training participants. This research uses the library research method, the primary source comes from a study of the existence of educational training participants, while the secondary data source comes from the same study or is related to this research, whether in the form of books, journals, articles, theses and other literature. . The results of this research are that: 1) the expectations of training participants can be grouped into three, namely expectations, values ​​and relationships. 2) The participants' encouragement and motivation are divided into three, namely the desire to know/learn, the need to learn and the desire for future goals. 3) Changes in participants' performance can be seen from three things, namely response, change and results.

Abstract

Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk memanfaatkan poster sebagai media pendidikan guna meningkatkan kesadaran masyarakat Desa Ponteh tentang relevansi pendidikan dan pemberdayaan Usaha Mikro, Kecil, dan Menengah (UMKM). Poster, sebagai alat komunikasi visual, memiliki kekuatan yang signifikan dalam menyampaikan informasi dan ide dengan cara yang menarik dan mudah dipahami. Melalui desain yang kreatif dan konten yang informatif, kegiatan ini untuk mempengaruhi persepsi dan keputusan masyarakat seputar pendidikan dan UMKM. Proses pembuatan poster ini melibatkan berbagai tahap, mulai dari penentuan tema dan tujuan, penyusunan konten, pemilihan elemen visual, hingga penyusunan layout. Seluruh aspek ini dirancang dengan mempertimbangkan karakteristik dan kebutuhan masyarakat Desa Ponteh.Selain pembuatan dan distribusi poster, proyek ini juga mencakup serangkaian kegiatan sosialisasi dan diskusi kelompok. Tujuannya adalah untuk memastikan pemahaman yang lebih mendalam tentang isu-isu yang disampaikan dan untuk membuka ruang dialog antara komunitas dan tim. Melalui pendekatan ini, dapat mendorong perubahan positif dalam masyarakat Desa Ponteh, khususnya dalam hal peningkatan akses dan kualitas pendidikan serta pemberdayaan UMKM.

Abstract

Religious moderation is a crucial concept in maintaining harmony and tolerance in society. However, the lack of understanding and implementation of religious moderation among students often poses challenges, particularly at IBS Padepokan Kyai Mudrikah Kembang Kuning, Pamekasan. This situation can lead to potential intolerance and radicalism, which contradicts the values of Islam as rahmatan lil 'alamin (a mercy to all creations). This article aims to describe the mentoring process in strengthening the material of religious moderation for students at IBS Padepokan Kyai Mudrikah Kembang Kuning, Pamekasan. The ultimate goal is to enhance the understanding and application of religious moderation so that the students can become agents of change, promoting values of tolerance and harmony within the community. The mentoring method involves a qualitative approach, including direct observation, in-depth interviews, and focused group discussions (FGDs) with students and educators. The mentoring program is structured in several stages, starting from the introduction of concepts, discussion of real-life cases, to the implementation of moderation values in the students' daily lives. The mentoring conducted shows a significant increase in the understanding and attitude towards religious moderation among the students. They have become more capable of understanding the importance of tolerance, appreciating differences, and avoiding extreme attitudes. Additionally, this program has successfully raised critical awareness among students about contemporary religious issues that are often used to divide the ummah (Muslim community). The mentoring in strengthening the material of religious moderation at IBS Padepokan Kyai Mudrikah Kembang Kuning, Pamekasan, has successfully enhanced the understanding and moderate attitudes among students. This program is effective in preventing potential intolerance and radicalism, and in shaping students with a strong commitment to the values of Islam as rahmatan lil 'alamin. Consequently, the students are expected to become agents of change who contribute positively to harmony and tolerance in society.
