Abstract

This study aims to develop and test the effectiveness of local culture-based learning media in enhancing the quality of early childhood education. Early childhood education should provide holistic and meaningful learning experiences, and one way to achieve this is by integrating local cultural elements into learning media. This approach not only introduces children to local values and traditions but also fosters a sense of pride and love for their culture. The research method used is descriptive qualitative, with data collection techniques including in-depth interviews and document studies. This study involves RA teachers and students as primary data sources and uses purposive sampling techniques to determine relevant informants. The results show that local culture-based learning media effectively increase children's motivation, engagement, and understanding of the learning material. The integration of local culture also helps in shaping children's character and cultural identity, promoting values such as responsibility, discipline, and hard work. This study concludes that the use of local culture-based learning media not only provides academic benefits but also plays an important role in cultural preservation and character development in early childhood. These findings support the importance of an inclusive and sustainable educational approach that appreciates and celebrates cultural diversity, contributing to national development.

Abstract

Law Number 14 of 2005 concerning teachers and lecturers which states that teachers and lecturers are professional positions. Professional positions are positions that require certain abilities and certain educational backgrounds. Furthermore, according to the PP of the Minister of National Education of the Republic of Indonesia No. 16 of 2007 concerning standards of academic qualifications and teacher competencies, it is said that the competencies required by teachers are divided into four categories, namely: Pedagogical Competence (Academic), Personality Competence, Social Competence (social), and Professional Competence . Early childhood education is an effort to seek and develop all the potential abilities of children from birth to the age of 6 years which in the end is the initial foundation for developing the nation, therefore educators are needed who are able to develop all the potential of early childhood. Because of their very important role, PAUD teachers are required to have high professionalism in carrying out their duties and their willingness to change for the better. One of them is mastering insight into the art of dance. The research method used is descriptive research.

Abstract

Pendidikan anak usia dini (Paud) ataupun taman kanak-kanak sejatinya adalah wadah belajar dengan cara bermain. Maka sudah semstintya seorang guru paud maupun TK harus menawarkan ragam permainan namun tidak meninggalkan sisi edukasi. Bagi sebagain orang tua menitipkan anaknya di Paud ataupun TK merupakan cara penunjang pembentukan karakter, religius, sosial dan budaya sebagai pengalaman tambahan diluar rumah. Hal ini tentunya menjadi PR penting bagi guru dan calon guru di PAUD/PIAUD ataupun TK/RA. Penelitian ini dirumuskan dari realisasi teori dan hasil praktek pembelajaran mahasiswa program studi Pendidikan Islam Anak Usia Dini (PIAUD) dalam mengikuti mata kuliah Pembelajaran Alat Permainan Edukatif di semester V (lima) STAIN Mandailing Natal. Mata kuliah ini disusun sesuai dengan kurikulum yang digunakan di Prodi tersebut untuk memberikan keterampilan, stimulasi, kecakapan untuk menghadapi dunia kerja yakni mengajar Anak Usia Dini dimasa yang akan datang. Adapun tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah memberikan gambaran dan memdeskripsikan pemahaman tentang sejauh apa kreatifitas Mahasiswa dalam merancang Alat Pembelajaran Edukatif sebagai media belajar anak usia dini. Mahasiswa membuat sendiri APE dan mempresentasikannya dikelas diikuti dengan nama, fungsi, cara menggunakan, serta kelebihan dan kekurangan APE yang dibuat sendiri oleh 11 Mahasiswa tersebut. Penelitian ini ditulis dengan metode deskripsi dengan memaparkan hasil dari observasi langsung tentang keberhasilan mahasiswa pada saat presentasi APE tersebut. Di akhir mata kuliah mahasiswa memberikan kesimpulan bahwa menghadirkan APE yang mereka rancang akan memberikan kontribusi pengalaman belajar sambil bermain menjadi lebih menarik, inovatif, penting, tepat guna. APE juga dapat mengembangkan kemampuan meyerap dan menghasilkan pembelajaran baik secara kognitif, afektif, konatif maupun psikomotorik. untuk anak usia dini.

Abstract

The development of children's language through the linguistic method is the development of children in managing words effectively orally and in writing. The goal is to communicate knowledge and help children to interact with peers and their social environment. The method of telling is one of the efforts in developing language at an early age. For this reason, starting in this research is how to develop early language through the storytelling method, how to develop early language through the storytelling method to answer problems using qualitative descriptive research. The research subjects were teachers and students, data collection techniques, observations, interviews and documentation, the results of the research were developments that had developed for early childhood language development, in the implementation it was optimal in using the storytelling method. Qualitative data analysis is inductive, namely an analysis based on data obtained and developed.

Abstract

Pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi efektivitas pendampingan belajar Bahasa Inggris dengan menerapkan konsep Habit English melalui aplikasi Hello English pada guru-guru di Raudhatul Athfal di Mandailing Natal. Pendekatan ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan komunikasi Bahasa Inggris melalui integrasi kebiasaan bahasa dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Metodologi pengabdian melibatkan penerapan aplikasi Hello English sebagai sarana pembelajaran, serta pemantauan progres dan pengukuran hasil pada guru-guru Raudhatul Athfal. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi, wawancara, dan tes evaluasi. Hasil pengabdian ini diharapkan dapat memberikan wawasan tentang efektivitas konsep Habit English dalam meningkatkan kemampuan Bahasa Inggris para guru Raudhatul Athfal, memberikan kontribusi positif terhadap pendidikan Bahasa Inggris di tingkat dasar, dan menjadi panduan bagi pengembangan strategi pembelajaran Bahasa Inggris di konteks pendidikan serupa.

Abstract

Abstract The father is a leader in the family who is an example for his family members, including children. so this study is to describe how the role of fathers in parenting in early childhood. With the involvement of the father it will help the growth and development of children. The researcher uses the Library Research approach . The findings of this study are that father involvement in parenting is a continuous active participation of fathers in child care which contains aspects of frequency, initiative, and personal empowerment in the physical, cognitive, and affective dimensions in all areas of child development, namely physical, emotional, social. , intellectual and moral. Thus the impact on the development of religion and its moral, cognitive and social emotional. on the development of gender roles, morals, achievement motivation, and on social development. In addition, the father as a male model in the family. So with the father's role in the family, he becomes a male role model in the family.

Abstract

This phenomenological study provides an in-depth examination of fathers' lived experiences in relation to early childhood behavioral development (ages 3–4) in Indonesia and Malaysia. The urgency of this research stems from the gap between the demands of contemporary parenting including digital literacy and the persistence of traditional masculinity constructs that often impede fathers' emotional involvement. Employing a qualitative phenomenological approach through in-depth interviews with four fathers of children aged 3–4 years, the core findings reveal that modern fathers have transitioned into vital agents of the Complementary Parenting Model. They specifically foster children's independence, resilience, and exploratory courage while simultaneously acting as digital gatekeepers through restrictive mediation practices. Theoretically, these results contribute to strengthening the Complementary Parenting Model. However, the study also highlights a significant challenge: the masculinity dilemma, which leads to difficulties in emotional regulation and affective communication (emotional literacy), often managed through rigid expressions of assertiveness. The study underscores the critical need to transform fathering education programs from mere awareness campaigns into comprehensive training initiatives that emphasize specific competencies, particularly consistent positive discipline and emotional literacy, to enhance the quality and effectiveness of paternal involvement in early childhood development.

Abstract

Abstrak. Perkembangan kognitif anak usia dini sangat dipengaruhi oleh kecukupan gizi, sehingga penyediaan program makan sehat menjadi salah satu faktor utama yang membantu kemampuan anak dalam berpikir, memahami situasi di sekitarnya, serta memecahkan masalah. Pada masa golden age, perkembangan otak berlangsung sangat pesat sehingga membutuhkan nutrisi yang memadai untuk menunjang proses belajar dan meningkatkan konsentrasi. Berdasarkan landasan teori tentang pentingnya gizi bagi fungsi otak termasuk teori perkembangan kognitif Piaget dan teori gizi anak penelitian ini bertujuan mengkaji sejauh mana program makan sehat berdampak terhadap perkembangan kognitif anak usia dini di TK Model Negeri Panyabungan. Penelitian dilakukan menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif terhadap 20 anak yang dipilih dengan teknik purposive sampling. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi, wawancara dengan guru dan orang tua, dokumentasi, serta angket. Selanjutnya, data dianalisis menggunakan uji validitas, reliabilitas, normalitas, heteroskedastisitas, dan regresi sederhana untuk mengetahui hubungan sekaligus pengaruh antarvariabel. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya pengaruh yang signifikan antara program makan sehat dan perkembangan kognitif, dibuktikan dengan nilai signifikansi 0.000 < 0.05 serta t-hitung 10.593 > t-tabel 2.101. Rata-rata perkembangan kognitif anak meningkat sebesar 38,1% setelah mengikuti program makan sehat. Temuan ini menegaskan bahwa program makan sehat berperan positif dan dapat dijadikan strategi efektif untuk meningkatkan kualitas perkembangan kognitif anak usia dini.Abstract. Early childhood cognitive development is strongly affected by proper nutrition, so a healthy eating program is important to support children’s ability to think, understand their environment, and solve problems. During the golden age, the brain grows very quickly and needs enough nutrients to support learning and concentration. Based on theories about the role of nutrition in brain function such as Piaget’s cognitive development theory this study examines how a healthy eating program influences cognitive development in young children at TK Model Negeri Panyabungan. The research used a quantitative method with 20 children selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected through observation, interviews, documentation, and questionnaires. The data were analyzed using tests for validity, reliability, normality, heteroscedasticity, and simple regression to identify the relationship between the variables. The results showed a significant effect of the healthy eating program on cognitive development, with a significance value of 0.000 < 0.05 and a t-count of 10.593 > t-table 2.101. On average, children’s cognitive development increased by 38.1% after joining the program. These findings show that healthy eating programs have a positive impact and can be an effective strategy to improve cognitive development in early childhood.

Abstract

The development of religious and moral values is the main foundation that must be instilled in children from an early age. To develop these values at RA Arafah Sipolu-polu, Hajj rituals are implemented. This research aims to determine the implementation of Hajj rituals, supporting and inhibiting factors, and their impact on the development of religious and moral values for group B children at RA Arafah Sipolu-polu. This research uses a descriptive qualitative approach, with data obtained through interviews, observation and documentation from school principals and teachers. The research results show that: first, the Hajj ritual activities are carried out through three stages, namely opening, core and closing, with planning, implementation and evaluation steps. Second, supporting factors for this activity include support from the school principal, teachers, parents, as well as the children's enthusiasm for learning. Inhibiting factors include a shortage of teachers, the very active nature of children, low concentration of children, children who do not follow the rules, and the school environment. Third, the positive impact of Hajj rituals is that children know the fifth pillar of Islam, understand the procedures for Hajj rituals from an early age, know their religion from an early age, get used to doing good things, and make it easier for teachers to teach. The negative impact is the emergence of a high sense of belonging, children's minimal knowledge about Hajj rituals, and people's mindset about school.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the implementation of interactive learning based on educational games through Smart TV media for early childhood at RA Tadika Adnani. This research employed a qualitative method with a case study approach. The research subjects consisted of one teacher and 30 early childhood students at RA Tadika Adnani. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The data were analyzed using qualitative data analysis techniques, including data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The results showed that the use of educational games through Smart TV increased children's engagement in the learning process. The materials presented included the introduction of Hijaiyah letters, Asmaul Husna, daily prayers, and cognitive games such as matching colors and pictures presented audiovisually. During the learning process, the teacher played an active role by asking questions, motivating children to respond, and encouraging students to practice the materials they learned. Game-based learning made children more enthusiastic, active, and confident in participating in classroom activities. Positive impacts were observed in the development of cognitive, language, social-emotional, as well as religious and moral values of early childhood. Therefore, the use of educational games through Smart TV media can be an effective and innovative learning strategy in early childhood education.
