Abstract

The development of children's language through the linguistic method is the development of children in managing words effectively orally and in writing. The goal is to communicate knowledge and help children to interact with peers and their social environment. The method of telling is one of the efforts in developing language at an early age. For this reason, starting in this research is how to develop early language through the storytelling method, how to develop early language through the storytelling method to answer problems using qualitative descriptive research. The research subjects were teachers and students, data collection techniques, observations, interviews and documentation, the results of the research were developments that had developed for early childhood language development, in the implementation it was optimal in using the storytelling method. Qualitative data analysis is inductive, namely an analysis based on data obtained and developed.

Abstract

Pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi efektivitas pendampingan belajar Bahasa Inggris dengan menerapkan konsep Habit English melalui aplikasi Hello English pada guru-guru di Raudhatul Athfal di Mandailing Natal. Pendekatan ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan komunikasi Bahasa Inggris melalui integrasi kebiasaan bahasa dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Metodologi pengabdian melibatkan penerapan aplikasi Hello English sebagai sarana pembelajaran, serta pemantauan progres dan pengukuran hasil pada guru-guru Raudhatul Athfal. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi, wawancara, dan tes evaluasi. Hasil pengabdian ini diharapkan dapat memberikan wawasan tentang efektivitas konsep Habit English dalam meningkatkan kemampuan Bahasa Inggris para guru Raudhatul Athfal, memberikan kontribusi positif terhadap pendidikan Bahasa Inggris di tingkat dasar, dan menjadi panduan bagi pengembangan strategi pembelajaran Bahasa Inggris di konteks pendidikan serupa.

Abstract

Abstract The father is a leader in the family who is an example for his family members, including children. so this study is to describe how the role of fathers in parenting in early childhood. With the involvement of the father it will help the growth and development of children. The researcher uses the Library Research approach . The findings of this study are that father involvement in parenting is a continuous active participation of fathers in child care which contains aspects of frequency, initiative, and personal empowerment in the physical, cognitive, and affective dimensions in all areas of child development, namely physical, emotional, social. , intellectual and moral. Thus the impact on the development of religion and its moral, cognitive and social emotional. on the development of gender roles, morals, achievement motivation, and on social development. In addition, the father as a male model in the family. So with the father's role in the family, he becomes a male role model in the family.

Abstract

Pendidikan Anak Usia Dini (PAUD) memiliki peran penting dalam membangun karakter dan keterampilan dasar anak, terutama dalam mengembangkan kreativitas dan kemampuan berpikir kritis. Model Pembelajaran Berbasis Proyek (Project-Based Learning/PjBL) merupakan pendekatan yang efektif dalam meningkatkan keterlibatan aktif anak dalam proses pembelajaran. Artikel ini menganalisis manfaat PjBL dalam pembelajaran anak usia dini serta implementasinya dalam Kurikulum Merdeka. Mahasiswa Praktik Pengalaman Lapangan (PPL) STAIN Madina memiliki peran penting dalam menerapkan metode ini di TK Model Negeri Panyabungan. Metode pengabdian dilakukan melalui pendekatan partisipatif dan kolaboratif dengan guru serta peserta didik. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan PjBL oleh mahasiswa PPL memberikan dampak positif dalam meningkatkan kreativitas, berpikir kritis, serta keterampilan sosial anak. Namun, terdapat beberapa kendala, seperti keterbatasan sarana dan pemahaman mahasiswa dalam menyesuaikan metode ini dengan karakteristik anak usia dini. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan pelatihan lebih lanjut bagi mahasiswa PPL agar implementasi PjBL dapat lebih optimal dan berkelanjutan.

Abstract

The development of religious and moral values is the main foundation that must be instilled in children from an early age. To develop these values at RA Arafah Sipolu-polu, Hajj rituals are implemented. This research aims to determine the implementation of Hajj rituals, supporting and inhibiting factors, and their impact on the development of religious and moral values for group B children at RA Arafah Sipolu-polu. This research uses a descriptive qualitative approach, with data obtained through interviews, observation and documentation from school principals and teachers. The research results show that: first, the Hajj ritual activities are carried out through three stages, namely opening, core and closing, with planning, implementation and evaluation steps. Second, supporting factors for this activity include support from the school principal, teachers, parents, as well as the children's enthusiasm for learning. Inhibiting factors include a shortage of teachers, the very active nature of children, low concentration of children, children who do not follow the rules, and the school environment. Third, the positive impact of Hajj rituals is that children know the fifth pillar of Islam, understand the procedures for Hajj rituals from an early age, know their religion from an early age, get used to doing good things, and make it easier for teachers to teach. The negative impact is the emergence of a high sense of belonging, children's minimal knowledge about Hajj rituals, and people's mindset about school.

Abstract

This research aims to increase the creativity of early childhood through collage activities at RA Yaa Bunayya, Mompang Julu Village. The method used was Classroom Action Research (PTK) with group B research subjects consisting of 10 students. Data collection was carried out through observation sheets and documentation, with a focus on aspects of fluency, flexibility, originality and creative development. The research results show that collage activities can increase children's creativity. In cycle I, 20% of children showed very good development, 50% were as expected, 20% were starting to develop, and 10% were not yet developing. In cycle II, there was a significant increase, with 70% of children developing very well, 20% as expected, and 10% starting to develop. These findings indicate that collage not only improves children's fine motor skills, but also encourages their creative expression. Therefore, it is recommended that collage activities be used as a learning method that is routinely implemented in early childhood education. It is hoped that this research can make a positive contribution to the development of children's creativity and become a reference for educators in optimizing learning.

Abstract

This community service activity aims to introduce educational game tools to orphans and school dropouts to equip, develop skills, and add insight and get active, creative and fun learning for early childhood. The target for this service is orphans and school dropouts aged 3-6 years, totaling 33 children in Pidoli Dolok Village, Panyabungan District, Mandailing Natal Regency. Implementation of community service activities using learning communication methods in the form of lectures, discussions, micro teaching and making educational game media tools. The presenter provides learning communication in the form of a lecture. Then, discussions were held with participants regarding the Calistung material through Game Tools. At the end, the children will be invited to learn using the Educational Game Tools that have been provided. The output obtained from this activity is that early childhood is assisted in understanding reading, writing and arithmetic material through early childhood games. The results of this activity can also find out who are early childhood children who are not yet capable of calistung and gain knowledge of calistung after participating in this activity.

Abstract

Strengthening religious moderation in early childhood is a strategic effort to foster tolerant and inclusive character values within multicultural societies. The increasing prevalence of intolerance and the influence of digital media on children’s behavioral development highlight the urgency of introducing religious moderation values from an early age through approaches that align with children’s developmental characteristics. This community service program aimed to strengthen religious moderation values among early childhood learners through educational play activities that are interactive and developmentally appropriate. The program employed a qualitative descriptive approach using the Participatory Action Research (PAR) method. The implementation stages included problem identification, program planning, educational play activities, observation, and evaluation. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation techniques. The educational activities consisted of storytelling, role-playing, collaborative games, and creative art activities integrating values of tolerance, cooperation, empathy, and respect for diversity. The findings demonstrated significant positive changes in children’s social behavior, including improved cooperation, sharing attitudes, respect for peers, and harmonious interaction regardless of social or religious backgrounds. Furthermore, teachers and parents showed increased understanding of the implementation of religious moderation values in both learning activities and daily life practices. Therefore, educational play activities proved effective in strengthening religious moderation values in early childhood while promoting an inclusive and harmonious learning environment.

Abstract

The rapid integration of digital technology in early childhood education highlights the need for learning media that are not only cognitively effective but also emotionally engaging. The Sekolah Enuma literacy application represents an innovative digital tool whose effectiveness should be examined from both User Experience (UX) and children’s affective responses. This study aims to analyze the quality of UX and the affective responses of young children when interacting with literacy features, as well as to explore the relationship between these aspects in supporting learning outcomes. This study employed a qualitative descriptive approach. Data were collected through participatory observation, semi-structured interviews with teachers and facilitators serving, and documentation. Data analysis followed the interactive model of data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The findings indicate that the application demonstrates good UX quality, characterized by ease of use, intuitive navigation, and visually engaging design. Most children exhibited positive affective responses such as enjoyment and enthusiasm, although some experienced confusion when encountering more complex instructions. The results reveal a strong relationship between UX quality and affective responses, which significantly influences children’s learning engagement. In conclusion, well-designed UX contributes substantially to positive emotional experiences and enhances the effectiveness of early literacy learning. Future research is recommended to adopt mixed-method approaches and longitudinal designs to provide more comprehensive insights.

Abstract

Masalah utama dalam penelitian ini adalah, apakah dengan penggunaan media kartu huruf dapat meningkatkan kemampuan mengenal huruf pada anak didik A di RA. As-Syarif. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui bagaimana kemampuan anak usia dini setelah menggunakan media kartu huruf dalam menambah ilmu pengetahuan khususnya dalam meningkatkan kemampuan mengenal huruf dan diharapkan dapat bermanfaat bagi anak, guru, dan sekolah. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian tindakan kelas (class action Research) yang terdiri dari dua siklus dilaksanakan 2 kali pertemuan setiap siklus, prosedur penelitian meliputi perencanaan, pelaksanaan, pengamatan/observasi, dan refleksi, subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah anak usia dini kelompok di RA. As-Syarif sebayak 33 orang anak. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan media kartu huruf dapat meningkatkan kemampuan mengenal huruf abjad pada anak. Hasil pada siklus 1 diketahui terdapat peningkatan kemampuan mengenal huruf alfabet dibandingkan dengan pratidakan. Pada siklus II diperoleh presentase lebih besar dan berada pada kriteria berkembang Sangat Baik, dimana telah mencapai indikator keberhasilan yang telah ditetapkan Berdasarkan hasil penelitian di atas, disimpulkan bahwa penggunaan media kartu huruf dapat meningkatkan kemampuan mengenal haruf alpabet pada anak usia dini di RA. As-Syarif.
