Abstract

This article aims to find out the attitude toward science of students during online learning in the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic which is reviewed based on the TOSRA indicator. The method used in this study is a descriptive method. The sample used in the study amounted to 55 students of MTs Negeri 2 Bolaang Mongondow. The study was conducted by spreading the 4 point science attitude scale instrument to students as many as 20 statement items. The results showed that the indicators enjoyment of science lessons, leisure interest in science, further study in the field of science, and career interest in science got an average score of 77.38 in the excellent category, 74.54 in the high category, 68.36 in the high category, and 65.72 in the high category. While the overall average value at 71.38 is in the high category. Thus, it can be concluded that the attitude toward science of students in the midst of the covid-19 pandemic is in a good category. Abstract

Pembangkit Listrik Tenaga Hibrida adalah pembangkit listrik yang jarang di temui dengan menggunakan sumber tenaga turbin angin dan surya yang saling melengkapi menyesuaikan keadaan cuaca. Tujuan dari penelitian ini yaitu guna membuat alat untuk mengetahui efisiensi apabila PLTB dan PLTS digabungkan atau yang biasa disebut dengan Pembangkit Hibrida. Pada bidang militer dalam menjalankan tugas banyak menghadapi hambatan yaitu pada daerah penugasan yang berada di pulau terluar. Dimana pada beberapa wilayah daerah perbatasan khususnya daerah Natuna ada beberapa daerah yang belum tersupply saluran listrik Perusahaan Listrik Negara (PLN). Peneliti bermaksud untuk membuat sebuah alat (rancang bangun) tentang sumber energi listrik terbarukan yang bersumber dari perpaduan (Hibrida) tenaga turbin angin dan surya yang dapat dipantau dari jarak jauh (PLTH berbasis IoT) dengan harapan menghasilkan efisiensi yang lebih baik dibanding dengan penggunaan PLTB maupun PLTS yang digunakan secara terpisah. Dalam hal ini tenaga angin akan sangat mendukung disaat intensitas cahaya berkurang bahkan dimusim penghujan tenaga turbin angin cenderung mendominasi terhadap tenaga matahari. Dengan dilakukannya penggabungan dua sumber yang berbeda (Hibrida) maka akan di dapatkan hasil yang lebih optimal dan efisien dengan harga investasi yang lebih murah.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the optimization and effectiveness of imposing additional fines as a substitute for imprisonment in relation to the execution of judgments in North Maluku in 2021, specifically focusing on corruption offenses that harm the state finances. The study employs an empirical legal research approach, utilizing empirical data obtained from interviews and direct observations of human behavior. Three approaches are utilized in this research: legal, conceptual, and case-based approaches. The research findings indicate that the imposition of additional fines as a substitute for imprisonment in corruption cases that harm state finances is still not optimal. Out of the seven cases examined, only two cases resulted in the restitution of the state's financial losses. Furthermore, the research highlights the failure to achieve legal effectiveness due to the insufficient restitution of state financial losses resulting from the availability of the alternative option of imprisonment as a substitute for the additional fines.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to design a game-based learning method for computer network courses. This method is used to increase the Army Polytechnic non-commissioned officers understanding on network topology topic. This game is called POINTER, contains an innovative game-based learning method that has adopted rules from the monopoly game. This game-based innovative learning method has been tested on student non-commissioned officers who are taking computer network courses. Educational games are one of the learning tools that can make students interested in learning and help understand lecture material. Besides studying, student non-commissioned officers play. The research method used is research and development (research and development), that aim to develop interactive learning multimedia based on educational games with instructional games models on network topology material, computer network courses. By using this learning method, student non-commissioned officers understand more about computer network topology because learning is more interesting.

Abstract

A washing machine is a crucial device for society as it offers convenience and practicality. However, the efficiency of a washing machine can decline over time, especially in its components which may experience performance degradation or damage. This research involves designing a damage detection tool for washing machines, structured as a trainer operated in simulation form, serving as a learning medium to better understand the systematic functioning of washing machines. This trainer module uses toggle button switches installed on each cable line to simulate various damage conditions. The sensor used in this trainer is the PZEM-004T, which detects the current, voltage, and power used by the AC (Alternating Current) motor. To measure the motor's RPM (Revolutions per Minute) speed, a proximity sensor utilizing the Hall effect principle is employed. The microcontroller used to process the data generated by the sensors is an Arduino Nano, with the data displayed on an LCD (Liquid Crystal Display). In this research, the results based on the PZEM-004T sensor testing showed it could measure voltage, current, and power with an error rate of 7.3% and a success rate of 92.7%. The proximity sensor could measure motor speed with an error rate of 3.4% and a success rate of 96.6%. The main challenge in  the monitoring system was the real-time reading on the LCD screen frequently halting due to the long delay required to read the proximity Hall effect sensor values.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of deep learning that integrates the principles of mindful learning, meaningful learning, and joyful learning at the planning and implementation stages, as well as to identify the obstacles experienced by teachers in implementing deep learning. This research employed a qualitative approach using a case study design. The study was conducted during the even semester of the 2025/2026 academic year. The subjects of this study were all ten fourth-grade students, the fourth-grade teacher, and the principal of SDN 40 Mataram. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation techniques. Data analysis was carried out through data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The findings indicate that at the planning stage, the teacher had designed teaching modules, instructional materials, student worksheets, learning media, and evaluation instruments by integrating the three principles of deep learning: mindful learning, meaningful learning, and joyful learning. At the implementation stage, the teacher also applied these principles through interactive, contextual, and enjoyable learning activities. However, several obstacles were identified, including limited time, inadequate facilities and infrastructure such as limited internet access, and differences in students’ abilities and characteristics.

Abstract

Early reading skills are fundamental abilities that students must master. In practice, some students still experience difficulties in developing these skills. The purpose of this study is to examine the influence of flannel board media based on the SAS (Structural Analytic Synthetic) method on the early reading skills of second-grade students at SDN 15 Mataram. The research employed a quasi-experimental design with a non-equivalent control group. The population consisted of all second-grade students at SDN 15 Mataram, totaling 53 students. Saturated sampling was used, resulting in class IIB as the experimental group and class IIA as the control group. The experimental group received treatment using flannel board media based on the SAS method, while the control group was taught through conventional methods. Data collection instruments included tests and observation sheets, with data gathered through performance tests and observations. The independent variable (X) in this study was the flannel board media based on the SAS (Structural Analytic Synthetic) method, while the dependent variable (Y) was the early reading skills of second-grade students at SDN 15 Mataram. Based on the hypothesis test results, the significance value (2-tailed) was 0,013 < 0,05. This indicates that, according to the independent sample t-test, the alternative hypothesis (Ha) is accepted and the null hypothesis (Ho) is rejected. In other words, there is a significant difference in the mean early reading skills between the experimental class taught using the SAS-based flannel board media and the control class taught with traditional methods. Therefore, it can be concluded that the SAS-based flannel board media has a significant effect on the early reading skills of second-grade students at SDN 15 Mataram.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the Discovery Learning model assisted by Genially-based snakes and ladders media on the reading comprehension ability of fourth-grade students at SDN 28 Cakranegara. This study employed a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental design using a nonequivalent control group design. The research sample consisted of 60 students, including 30 students in the experimental class and 30 students in the control class. Data collection techniques included tests and observations. The data were analyzed using descriptive statistics and inferential statistics through normality tests, homogeneity tests, and Independent Sample t-tests. The results showed that the average Post-Test score of the experimental class was 70.83, which was higher than the control class score of 68.00. In addition, the hypothesis testing result obtained a significance value (2-tailed) of 0.004 < 0.05, indicating that H₀ was rejected and Hₐ was accepted. The effect size calculation using Cohen’s d formula obtained a value of 0.19, which was categorized as a small effect. Therefore, it can be concluded that the Discovery Learning model assisted by Genially-based snakes and ladders media had an effect on students’ reading comprehension ability.

Abstract

The low ability of students in using uppercase and lowercase letters in Indonesian language learning remains a problem in elementary schools. This condition is influenced by conventional learning methods, causing students to be less active and not fully understand spelling concepts meaningfully. This study aimed to determine the effect of the Deep Learning approach on the Indonesian language learning outcomes of second-grade students at SDN 15 Cakranegara on the topic of uppercase and lowercase letter usage. This study employed a quantitative approach using a quasi-experimental research method with a Nonequivalent Control Group Design. The population consisted of all second-grade students of SDN 15 Cakranegara in the 2025/2026 academic year, with a sample of 67 students, including class II A as the experimental group and class II B as the control group, selected using saturated sampling technique. The research instrument was a multiple-choice test that had been tested for validity and reliability. Data collection techniques included pretests, posttests, and observations. Data analysis was conducted using the Kolmogorov-Smirnov normality test, Levene’s Test for homogeneity, Independent Sample t-Test for hypothesis testing, and N-Gain test. The results showed a significance value of 0.000 < 0.05, indicating that H₀ was rejected and H₁ was accepted. The average posttest score of the experimental class was 88.12, which was higher than the control class score of 66.85. The N-Gain score of the experimental class was 73.96 (moderately effective), while the control class obtained 25.90 (ineffective). Therefore, the Deep Learning approach had a positive effect on students’ Indonesian language learning outcomes.

Abstract

Purpose: This study examines the influence of User Generated Content (UGC) and source credibility on consumer decision making in restaurant selection, focusing on consumers in Palembang City. It aims to understand how user created online content and perceived credibility shape consumer preferences and purchase behavior. Methodology/approach: A quantitative survey in Palembang was conducted involving 204 respondents who had previously used social media or online platforms before choosing a restaurant. The collected data were analyzed using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) to test both direct and indirect relationships among the variables. Results/findings: The findings show that UGC has a significant positive impact on consumer decisions both directly and indirectly. UGC also enhances perceptions of source credibility, which in turn significantly affects decision making. Furthermore, source credibility partially mediates the relationship between UGC and consumer decisions. Text-based reviews were found to be more influential than visual content, suggesting the presence of demographic and cultural differences among respondents. Conclutions: The results confirm that credible and authentic UGC plays a crucial role in influencing restaurant choice behavior. Consumers are not only influenced by content availability but also by its trustworthiness and relevance. Limitations: The purposive sampling focused on young female respondents, limiting generalizability. The removal of some indicators highlights the need for refined measurement tools, particularly for visual media. Contribution: This study expands consumer behavior theory and provides practical insights for restaurant managers to strengthen digital trust and engagement.
