Abstract

This study explores the transformational leadership of madrasah principals and its impact on teacher performance in three institutions in West Sumatra: Madrasah Tsanawiyah Negeri (MTsN) Model Padang, MTsN 1 Kota Pariaman, and MTsN 4 Pasaman. The research addresses challenges such as the suboptimal application of transformational leadership in achieving transformative governance and the inadequate execution of managerial and supervisory functions. Employing a qualitative case study approach, data were collected through interviews, observations, and document analysis, and analyzed using data reduction, data display, and conclusion-drawing techniques. Data validity was ensured through extended engagement and consistent observation. The findings reveal that although transformational leadership practices are present, their implementation does not fully support transformative governance. Identified issues include teacher tardiness, insufficient administrative preparation, inappropriate teaching methods, weak classroom management, and the absence of evaluation and follow-up through remedial or enrichment programs. This study introduces the concept of Madrasah Head Leadership in 3 MTsN, which emphasizes a model of transformational leadership aligned with Ki Hajar Dewantara’s educational philosophy. This model focuses on openness to change and access to innovation in educational management. Through role modeling, motivation, and guidance, principals are expected to improve teacher performance and contribute to the overall development of the madrasah.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas metode role playing dalam meningkatkan keterlibatan peserta didik dalam praktek ibadah di SMAN 1 Batang Kapas. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian lapangan yang bersifat kualitatif, dengan pendekatan deskriptif yakni menggambarkan keadaan atau status suatu kejadian atau fenomena. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan 1)Kegiatan pendahuluan dalam materi praktek ibadah haji dan umroh, 2) Pelaksanaan metode role playing dalam materi praktek ibadah haji dan umroh, 3) Pegiatan penutup pembelajaran dan evaluasi pembelajaran menggunakan metode role playing dalam praktek ibadah di SMAN 1 Batang Kapas.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengidentifikasi, menganalisis, dan merumuskan solusi terhadap permasalahan yang dihadapi dalam pelaksanaan pendidikan Islam di MAN Insan Cendekia Padang Pariaman, serta memberikan rekomendasi untuk meningkatkan kualitas pendidikan Islam di sekolah tersebut. Data penelitian diperoleh melalui wawancara mendalam dengan guru, siswa, dan staf administrasi, observasi langsung, serta analisis dokumen. Hasil penelitian mengungkapkan beberapa permasalahan utama, antara lain keterbatasan jumlah tenaga pendidik yang memiliki kualifikasi memadai dalam bidang pendidikan Islam, kurikulum yang belum sepenuhnya terintegrasi dengan baik antara mata pelajaran umum dan agama, keterbatasan fasilitas pendukung pembelajaran yang modern dan memadai, rendahnya motivasi beberapa siswa dalam mempelajari mata pelajaran agama Islam, serta metode pengajaran yang kurang variatif dan inovatif. Solusi yang diusulkan meliputi pengembangan kompetensi guru melalui pelatihan dan workshop, revisi kurikulum agar lebih terintegrasi dan relevan dengan kebutuhan siswa serta perkembangan zaman, peningkatan fasilitas pendukung pembelajaran melalui kerjasama dengan pemerintah dan swasta, pengadaan program motivasi dan kegiatan ekstrakurikuler yang menarik untuk meningkatkan minat siswa dalam belajar agama Islam, serta penerapan metode pengajaran yang lebih variatif dan inovatif seperti penggunaan teknologi dalam pembelajaran dan pendekatan yang lebih interaktif.

Abstract

The learning difficulties refer to a group of difficulties which are manifested in the form of real difficulties in the proficiency and use of listening, conversing, reading, writing, reasoning, or abilities in the field of mathematics. The purpose of this study was to analyze factors the difficulties of madrasah students in learning mathematics with the research subjects being students of class VII MTs N I Bukittinggi. The instrument used was a questionnaire. The results showed that students' learning difficulties in mathematics in terms of internal factors was 22.83% which was included in the high enough category with details: the difficulty of physiological factors was 19.24% with quite low categories, psychological factors of 26.42% with quite high category. The difficulty of learning mathematics in terms of external factors is 23.94% which is included in the category of high enough with the details: student learning difficulties in mathematics in terms of school factors is 24.85% with a high category, family factors of 9.40 % with low category, and community factors amounted to 37.58% with quite high category.

Abstract

Non-Directive learning strategies are learning strategies that direct students to be more active and think critically in learning. Emphasizes efforts to facilitate learning, achieve personal integration and maximize students' thinking power by providing support for the spirit of religious learning. Students are trained to think across disciplines, solve every problem according to their abilities and desires and must be accountable. This way students have more space. to be creative and increase the spirit of learning. The role of the teacher as a facilitator. The research method used is descriptive qualitative research and the technique used uses interview techniques. Qualitative descriptive research produces information in the form of quality and reliable data whose authenticity can be accounted for. It can be concluded that one of the benefits of discovery learning is helping students develop their critical thinking skills. Another benefit is encouraging students' interest and curiosity in creating alternatives and solving problems as well as encouraging creativity and the development of better interpersonal skills and abilities if teachers can effectively explain how to manage, and directing students, then existing deficiencies can be corrected. Non-directive learning, the teacher only provides the main points of the assignment, which have been arranged so that with this assignment, students can carry out observations on the lesson object, analyze the facts encountered, draw conclusions about the results of their own observations, explain what has been found and compare it with other facts. Therefore, to use this non-directive learning technique successfully and efficiently, teachers must first understand the basic principles

Abstract

This study aims to explore the role of Islamic Religious Education (IRE) in fostering and strengthening attitudes of tolerance among students of different religious backgrounds within the school environment. The method used is a literature study. The research findings reveal that Islamic Religious Education plays a significant role in shaping tolerant attitudes in schools. IRE teachers act as role models as well as educators who convey the values of tolerance to students.The implementation of tolerance values within the school reflects the diversity of the surrounding community and highlights the importance of education in instilling mutual respect among followers of different religions. Therefore, this study recommends that the Islamic Religious Education curriculum be further strengthened to cultivate a young generation that values tolerance and lives in harmony.In addition, support from parents and the wider community is essential in creating inclusive religious education that prioritizes tolerance values. Thus, the results of this study are expected to contribute to the development of more meaningful religious education with a positive impact on the social life of the community.
