Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan pengaruh model pembelajaran konsep dengan mengintegrasikan teknik skimming terhadap prestasi belajar siswa pada sub materi pokok perpindahan kalor. Pada penelitian ini, skimming yang merupakan teknik membaca cepat berperan dalam meningkatkan kesiapan siswa untuk belajar sehingga siswa dapat berperan aktif dalam pembelajaran dan dengan pembelajaran konsep siswa dapat mengeluarkan pendapat mengenai konsep yang telah mereka temukan dalam kehidupan sehari-hari (contoh dan non contohnya) sehingga siswa lebih mudah untuk menerima dan memahami konsep yang diajarkan serta bersikap lebih kritis. Populasi penelitian adalah siswa kelas X SMAN 18 Surabaya dan rancangan penelitian yang digunakan adalah true experiment design. Berdasarkan analisis aspek kognitif siswa menggunakan uji-t dua pihak dan uji-t satu pihak diperoleh hasil bahwa prestasi belajar siswa di kelas eksperimen lebih baik dibandingkan dengan prestasi belajar siswa di kelas kontrol. Hasil analisis juga menunjukkan bahwa pembelajaran konsep dengan mengintegrasikan teknik skimming yang diterapkan pada penelitian ini berjalan dengan baik, hal ini didapat dari pengamatan. Respons siswa terhadap pembelajaran konsep dengan mengintegrasikan teknik skimming secara umum baik, hal ini ditunjukkan pada respons siswa tertinggi terdapat pada aspek kelima dan keenam yaitu siswa lebih termotivasi untuk belajar dan lebih berani menyampaikan pendapat persentase sebesar 85,87% dan tergolong baik sekali.

Abstract

ENSO (El Nino Southern Oscillation) is a phenomenon of sea surface temperature (SST) deviation in the Central and Eastern equatorial Pacific Ocean (Nino 3.4). ENSO phase consists of two deviations, namely El Nino and La Nina. La Nina has an impact on increasing rainfall in the Nino 3.4 region. Indonesia, which is part of the Nino 3.4 region, is affected by La Nina in the JJA period (June July August). With research conducted in Eastern Indonesia, Papua in the 2022 La Nina period has varying results. Through four observation points namely Sorong, Enarotali, Jayapura and Merauke. The most affected area of La Nina 2022 is Sorong while for the area affected by ENSO activity during the 11 years of observation (2013-2023) is Merauke with a significance value of 0.000306429; 0.000943892; 5.13748E-05. As for the time most affected by La Nina 2022 and ENSO activity 11 years of observation is in the same month of August with a significance value for the Sorong region of 0.011474481; Enarotali 0.006271735; Jayapura 0.431875715; and Merauke 5.13748E-05.

Abstract

This study investigates the swelling behavior and thermomechanical properties of polyethylene glycol (PEG) and silica xerogel composites using Dynamic Mechanical Analysis (DMA) and Differential Scanning Calorimetry (DSC). The composites were synthesized via a hydrothermal method and prepared by wet mixing PEG with silica xerogel. The analysis revealed that the interaction between PEG and silica xerogel significantly affects both the thermal and morphological properties of the composites. DSC data showed a shift in the glass transition temperature (Tg) and an earlier onset of thermal degradation in the PEG-Silica Xerogel 10 wt.% composite (P-SX10), indicating increased molecular mobility and reduced matrix stability. Notably, the swelling behavior was strongly influenced by temperature: as the temperature increased, the composites exhibited greater expansion and surface degradation, particularly in PEG-rich systems. This thermal sensitivity is attributed to the loosening of polymer–filler interactions and the partial debonding of matrix structures. The findings suggest that both composite composition and thermal exposure play critical roles in determining swelling characteristics and long-term structural integrity.

Abstract

This study analyzes the mechanical performance of femoral bone implants using two types of materials, namely Alloys and Cobalt Chromium Alloys, as well as two variations in implant length (72 mm and 24 mm, and 80 mm and 20 mm). Simulation was conducted using the Finite Element Method (FEM) to evaluate mechanical parameters, such as directional deformation, equivalent stress, maximum principal stress, and minimum principal elastic strain. The analysis results show that the Cobalt Chromium Alloys material has smaller deformation compared to the Alloys, indicating better stiffness and load-bearing capacity. However, the maximum principal stress value is higher in Cobalt Chromium Alloys, indicating a greater risk of stress concentration. Meanwhile, a longer implant length shows a more even stress distribution compared to a shorter length. This study provides important insights into the influence of material and implant length on its mechanical performance, and can serve as a basis for designing optimal implants for specific medical needs

Abstract

This review focuses on examining the synthesis and characterization of Carbon Nanodots (CNDs) from the utilization of Tandan Kosong Kelapa Sawit (TKKS) using the microwave method as an environmentally friendly approach. The resulting CNDs were characterized for their optical and structural properties to evaluate their potential application in the field of biosensors. The synthesis process involves carbonizing TKKS at 500℃ for 3 hours, followed by activation using a microwave at 450 Watts for 15 minutes. UV-Vis characterization shows an absorption peak at 280 nm, which indicates n-π* (C=O) and π-π* (C=C). Meanwhile, FTIR characterization aims to determine the presence of the carbonyl C=O functional group at 1990,98 cm-1 and the aromatic C=C bond at 1416,2 cm-1. The CNDs from TKKS exhibit photoluminescent properties and surface functional groupss that enhance adsorption performance and chemical reactivity. This research offers an efficient and sustainable method for synthesizing CNDs, while also being a breakthrough in utilizing biomass wate, particularly TKKS. The findings have the potential for developing carbon materials in environmental and energi applications.

Abstract

Penetian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh kristalinitas terhadap stabilitas termal komposit termoplastis dengan pengisis silika xerogel. Polimer yang digunakan adalah polietilena glikol (PEG 4000) yang merupakan polimer termoplastis. Silika xerogel diekstraksi melalui proses alkali fusion. Silika xerogel yang didapatkan menunjukkan fasa amorf melalui X-Ray Diffraction (XRD). Silika xerogel ditambahakan ke dalam PEG 4000 dengan komposisi yang bervariasi, yaitu, 0, 5, 10, dan 20%. Penambahan silika xerogel menurunkan tingkat kristalinitas komposit karena PEG murni merupakan material semikristalin. Melalui analisis termal menggunakan Thermogravimetric Analysis (TGA), pengaruh kristalinitas komposit tampak jelas pada daerah sebelum polimer mengalami transisi leleh. Namun, pada daerah dekomposisi (T>400°C), pengaruh kristalinitas pada komposit tidak ada lagi. Hasil ini sangat menarik dikarenakan massa dekomposisi akhir menunjukkan nilai yang sama dengan komposisi silika xerogel yang ditambahkan, misalnya pada penambahan 20%, massa yang tersisa setelah dekomposisi adalah 20,77982 %. Oleh karenanya, analisis kristalinitas sangat mendukung hasil analisis termal dengan TGA pada komposit.

Abstract

Pada penelitian ini membahas tentang pembuatan Reduced Graphene Oxide (rGO) dengan memanfaatkan limbah serabut kelapa sawit dari Aceh. Serabut kelapa sawit termasuk biomassa lignoselulosa berupa serat yang memiliki komponen utama selulosa 59,6%, lignin 28,5%, protein kasar 3,6%, lemak 1,9%, abu 5,6% dan impurities 8%. Metode yang digunakan dalam preparasi rGO adalah metode microwave. Sampel yang telah mendapat perlakuan microwave kemudian dikarakterisasi menggunakan XRD dan SEM untuk mengetahui fasa amorf dan morfologi dari sampel. Pada analisis XRD diperoleh hasil bahwa reduce graphene oxide memiliki fase amorf yang lebih dominan. Kemudian, pada analisis SEM diperoleh hasil bahwa GO dan rGO memiliki perbedaan morfologi pada permukaan sampel, dimana rGO memiliki bentuk lembaran yang lebih tipis daripada GO. Pada penelitian ini dapat diambil kesimpulan bahwa sintesis rGO yang telah dilakukan menggunakan serabut kelapa sawit dengan metode microwave belum sepenuhnya berhasil, dimana masih terdapat kandungan Graphene Oxide (GO) yang tidak tereduksi sempurna menjadi Reduced Graphene Oxide (rGO).

Abstract

Pada penelitian ini membahas terkait pengaruh penambahan pH dan CTAB (Cetyl Trimethyl Ammonium Bromida) terhadap morfologi silika dari abu vulkanik. Abu vulkanik memiliki kandungan silika yang cukup tinggi. Metode yang digunakan dalam pembuatan silika adalah kopresipitasi. Kemudian, silika dilakukan analisis XRD, SEM, dan FIIR untuk mengetahui fase, morfologi pada sampel, dan gugus fungsi. Pada analisis XRD diperoleh hasil bahwa silika memiliki fase amorf yang lebih dominan. Dikarenakan material awal yang digunakan merupakan abu vulkanik yang berbentuk amorf sehingga silika (SiO2) yang dihasilkan juga akan berbentuk amorf. Pada analisis SEM terhadap silika (SiO2) menunjukkan morfologi permukaan pada sampel, dimana silika (SiO2) memiliki bentuk mesoporous. Hasil dari penelitian ini mendapatkan ukuran partikel terkecil yaitu 27,3174 nm sedangkan yang terbesar yaitu 103,5214 nm. pH dan Cetyl Trimethyl Ammonium Bromida (CTAB) berpengaruh terhadap struktur kristal dan ukuran partikel silika yang didapatkan. Sedangkan pada analisis FTIR ditandai dengan adanya gugus fungsi  Si – O – Si dengan rentang panjang gelombang 1000 – 1115 cm-1 .

Abstract

Currently, there are many problems regarding the quality and safety of products that can endanger consumers. GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) is a fun way in the form of application in the food processing industry to guarantee and ensure the safety and quality of the products produced. The purpose of this community service is to conduct training application (Good Manufacturing Practices) of GMP on CV. Pawon Ibun in order to prepare for Food certification CV. Pawon Ibun is a business engaged in food processing that specifically produces MPASI for baby and toddlers. In addition to the aim of obtaining food certification, another objective of the training and assistance provided to workers is to provide an understanding of the importance of GMP and be able to apply it during the production process, so that CV. Pawon Ibun is able to produce safe and quality processed food. The research method used is a qualitative approach and survey methods are also used in data collection. Implementation starts from training, mentoring and also evaluation. Based on the survey results, it can be seen that the employees of CV. Most of Pawon Ibun did not know about and had not received training on GMP. And after receiving training, they are able to understand the concepts, objectives, and benefits of GMP and are able to apply them during the production process. That way, CV. Pawon Ibun is eligible to get GMP food certification.

Abstract

Education on HACCP conducted at CV. Pawon Ibun Tuban, East Java aims to provide basic capital in the implementation of HACCP. The activity was carried out from August to November with several stages of implementation. The methodology of implementing this training activity is by using a qualitative analysis in the form of a quiz given to CV. Pawon Ibun employees to measure the success rate of education that has been conducted. The steps taken to facilitate the implementation of educational activities on HACCP start from the preparation stage, implementation stage, evaluation stage and mentoring stage. The results of the methodology stages carried out in the form of questionnaire are the need for assistance in the intensive implementation of HACCP because there are several aspects that still need to be improved.
