Abstract

One of the challenges encountered by the first year students of boarding universities is having a transition period for adapting to the needs and requirements in their new environments. Inability to make a self-adaptation can lead to unbalanced situation that results in academic, environmental, and interpersonal relationship problems as well as inner-self problems of the individuals. This study is aimed at closely viewing the stressors experienced by the students in the first year of their study, particularly during the first three months of their lives in the new environments and knowing the strategies taken by the individuals to encounter the stressors in order to anticipate the possible effects in the near future. The method used in this research is qualitative with a descriptive approach for exploring or depicting the images of stressors encountered by the students in the first three months of living in a boarding house and how they determine the coping to encounter the stressors. The results show that the stressors experienced by the students consisted of intrapersonal stressors (62.59%), interpersonal stressors (17.65%), environmental stressors (14.35%), and academic stressors (5.41%). The students tend to face the stressors by focusing on the problems (53.17%) and the emotions (46.38%). Based on the findings, it can be concluded that the mist dominant stressor is the one that is related to the students' individuals.

Abstract

Kekerasan dalam rumah tangga (KDRT) bukan hanya kekerasan fisik semata-mata, jenis kekerasan ini seringkali mencakup berbagai tingkat kekerasan psikologis, emosional, dan ekonomi, yang menyebabkan masalah yang mendalam dan konsekuensi jangka panjang bagi korban. Terdapat bukti bahwa pelatihan pemaafan sebagai intervensi psikologis dapat membantu orang yang mengalami trauma psikologis akibat KDRT. Tujuan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini adalah untuk mengetahui seberapa efektif pelatihan pemaafan dalam meningkatkan kesejahteraan subjektif perempuan yang menjadi korban kekerasan domestik. Kegiatan ini melibatkan 3 responden korban KDRT yang masih hidup bersama pasangannya. Metode pelatihan aktif berbasis pengalaman menggunakan diskusi, studi kasus, dan relaksasi selama satu kali pertemuan, melalui kegiatan persiapan, implementasi, evaluasi dan tindak lanjut. Pengukuran keberhasilan pelatihan ini dilakukan dengan menggunakan kuesioner PANAS (Possitive Affect Negative Affect Schedule). Hasil kegiatan pengabdian menunjukkan bahwa rerata skor kesejahteraan subjektif meningkat sebanyak 22.4. Hasil ini menunjukkan bahwa pelatihan pemaafan adalah cara yang efektif untuk membantu pemulihan emosional dan mental perempuan korban KDRT, pelatihan ini membekali para korban KDRT untuk membantu dalam proses penyembuhan dan optimalisasi kesejahteraan subjektif mereka. Kesimpulan kegiatan pengabdian ini adalah bahwa pelatihan pemaafan dapat dimasukkan ke dalam program rehabilitasi bagi korban KDRT untuk membantu mereka mengatasi dampak psikologis jangka panjang akibat tindakan pelaku KDRT.

Abstract

The community service carried out is entitled Increasing Understanding of Social Interaction with Game Methods for Children in Orphanages. The problem that arises is that orphanage children who come from different family backgrounds tend to often cause the orphanage children's social relationships to be less harmonious, even though they live together in the orphanage. This service aims to provide an understanding of how good social interaction is to improve relationships. between one orphanage child and another orphanage child so that harmony is created in the family of the orphanage child. The method that will be used for this service is a pre-post test, games that support social interaction, and feedback or evaluation of the games provided. The result of this activity is that after gaining information and insight into social interaction through games and sharing sessions as well as feedback from each game, the orphanage children finally understand and understand how good social interaction is. Besides that, the orphanage children can capture the meaning and benefits of the games that have been played. This activity concludes that the children from the orphanage responded quite well, and looked happy and enthusiastic so they got an idea and knowledge about what good social interaction is like, which also includes good communication, collaboration with friends, sharing, and learning from each other togetherness.

Abstract

Educational technology plays an important role in increasing access to information, promoting health awareness, and supporting interactive community learning on health issues. The multimodal psychoeducation approach allows the delivery of information through various channels (audio, visual, digital text), which can increase information absorption and emotional engagement. Maternal mental health is a crucial aspect that affects the well-being of both the mother and the fetus during pregnancy. This study aims to evaluate the impact of using multimodal psychoeducational media, specifically hypnocomfort pregnancy, to enhance maternal mental health knowledge in managing anxiety during pregnancy. The research employs a quasi-experimental design with a pre-test and post-test with a control group design. The sample consists of 20 pregnant women. The intervention group receives training using hypnocomfort pregnancy multimodal psychoeducational media. The results indicate that the intervention group experienced a higher maternal mental health knowledge increase than the control group. The T-test results show a significant P-value (0.000), indicating that the use of hypnocomfort pregnancy multimodal psychoeducational media has a significant effect on improving maternal mental health knowledge. It can be concluded that the development and application of hypnocomfort pregnancy multimodal psychoeducational media is effective in enhancing maternal mental health knowledge. This study supports the use of multimodal media in maternal mental health care and recommends integrating similar methods into pregnancy support programs. In addition, broader contributions include the development of psychoeducational methods that can be implemented in health education with the potential to improve the knowledge and management of community mental education.

Abstract

The elderly face complex and interrelated health challenges, including anxiety, sleep disturbances, and decreased quality of life, which can affect their physical and psychological well-being. In nursing, screening using valid and reliable questionnaires can help nurses identify mental health problems early, prevent complications, and provide appropriate interventions. Therefore, assessment scales such as the Elderly Anxiety Questionnaire (EAQ), Elderly Sleep Quality Questionnaire (ESQQ), and Elderly Quality of Life Questionnaire (EQLQ) were developed to assess anxiety, sleep quality, and quality of life in the elderly according to current conditions and needs. This study aims to develop and validate the EAQ, ESQQ, and EQLQ as initial screening tools for clinical and community practice nurses. The method used a qualitative approach; questionnaires were distributed to 60 elderly participants selected based on inclusion and exclusion criteria, followed by statistical validity and reliability tests. The results showed that the r-count value for the three questionnaires was more significant than the r-table (0.254), indicating good item validity. The reliability test using Cronbach's alpha also showed that the three questionnaires had high reliability. In conclusion, EAQ, ESQQ, and EQLQ are practical tools for detecting the mental condition of the elderly and supporting the role of nurses in providing comprehensive care. This study contributes significantly to nursing practice by providing tools for initial screening, data collection, and analysis to improve the quality of care for the elderly. Further research with a larger sample size is recommended to strengthen these findings.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara fanatisme dengan perilaku agresif verbal penggemar sepak bola. Hipotesis yang diajukan dalam penelitian ini adalah ada hubungan positif antara fanatisme dengan perilaku agresif verbal suporter sepak bola. Semakin tinggi fanatisme maka semakin tinggi perilaku agresif verbal, begitu sebaliknya. Responden dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 103 responden yang merupakan suporter sepak bola PSIS yang tergabung dalam komunitas Panser Biru Semarang. Teknik pengambilan sampel yang digunakan adalah non-probability sampling dalam bentuk insidental sampling. Data penelitian dikumpulkan dengan menggunakan dua skala yaitu Skala Agresif Verbal dan Skala Fanatisme. Hasil perhitungan uji hipotesis menunjukkan dengan nilai rxy = 0,441 dan p < 0,01. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa terdapat hubungan positif antara fanatisme dengan agresif verbal pada responden suporter sepak bola di Semarang, sehingga hipotesis pada penelitian ini diterima Kata kunci: perilaku agresif verbal, fanatisme, panser biru

Abstract

Pengabdian ini bertujuan meningkatkan pemahaman guru dan orang tua dalam mendampingi anak berkebutuhan khusus agar dapat mendukung proses belajar pada siswa yang memiliki kebutuhan khusus. Metode yang digunakan dalam pengabdian ini adalah psikoedukasi dengan pemberian materi melalui ceramah, diskusi serta teknik pelepasan emosi sederhana. Kegiatan pengabdian telah dilaksanakan pada tanggal 8 Juni 2024 mulai pukul 08.00 hingga pukul 11.00 WIB., yang diikuti 28 orang guru dan orang tua di TK Bunga Bangsa Universal School Semarang. Hasil pengabdian menunjukkan adanya meningkatnya pemahaman peserta, hal ini ditunjukkan dengan hasil perhitungannya yaitu nilai Sig. (2-tailed) sebesar 0,000 < 0.05 maka Ho ditolak dan Ha diterima, yang artinya ada perbedaan rata-rata skor sebelum dan sesudah mengikuti kegiatan psikoedukasi tentang ABK, sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa kegiatan psikoedukasi yang diberi tajuk Mengenal dan Memahami Anak Berkebutuhan Khusus cukup efektif dalam meningkatkan pemahaman guru dan orang tua tentang anak berkebutuhan khusus.

Abstract

Pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini dilakukan bertujuan untuk memberikan pemantapan tentang Tumbuh Kembang Anak pada Kader Posyandu Kelurahan Sendangmulyo. Selain memberi pemahaman kepada para Kader Posyandu juga memberikan tambahan pengetahuan secara teoritik terkait kader Posyandu, Keluarga kecil, dan Tumbuh Kembang anak. Masalah yang sering muncul adalah peran orang tua ikut serta dalam mendidik dan membesarkan anak, tanpa memperhatikan kemampuan fisik dan psikologis balita. Dengan adanya pemantapan ini, kader posyandu memiliki bekal untuk menambah wawasan mereka dalam berinteraksi dan mendampingi ibu2 muda tersebut terkait tumbuh kembang anak. Peserta pemantapan berjumlah 52 peserta yang terdiri dari para kader Posyandu dan PKB. Metode yang digunakan adalah ceramah dengan evaluasi pelaksanaan dilakukan di akhir acara secara kualitatif mengingat tugas masing-masing kader adalah berbeda. Dengan demikian hasil yang didapat adalah mereka sangat antusias dan benar-benar mendapatkan ilmu tambahan terkait materi di atas. Hal ini ditunjukkan dari hasil pertanyaan yang narasumber berikan dijawab dengan baik oleh mereka. Kata kunci: Pemantapan, tumbuh kembang anak, kader Posyandu

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara self-compassion (welas asih terhadap dirisendiri) dengan psychological well-being (kesejahteraan psikologis) pada mahasiswa berusia 18–24tahun. Latar belakang penelitian ini adalah tingginya tekanan akademik, sosial, dan emosional yangdialami oleh mahasiswa, terutama setelah pandemi COVID-19 yang menyebabkan berbagai tantangandalam kehidupan pribadi dan perkuliahan. Pada masa emerging adulthood, mahasiswa sering kaliberada dalam fase pencarian identitas, ketidakpastian masa depan, serta tanggung jawab baru yangmenimbulkan stres. Dalam kondisi tersebut, self-compassion dapat menjadi sumber daya psikologisyang membantu individu menerima kekurangan diri, bersikap lebih lembut terhadap kegagalan, dantidak merasa terisolasi dalam penderitaan. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif denganmetode korelasional. Partisipan terdiri dari 84 mahasiswa berusia 18–24 tahun yang dipilih secarapurposive. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah Self-Compassion Scale (SCS) dan Psychological WellBeing Scale (PWBS). Analisis data dilakukan dengan menggunakan uji korelasi Pearson. Hasilpenelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat hubungan positif yang signifikan antara self-compassion danpsychological well-being, dengan nilai korelasi sebesar 0.399 dan signifikansi < 0.001. Artinya,semakin tinggi self-compassion yang dimiliki mahasiswa, maka semakin tinggi pula kesejahteraanpsikologis mereka. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa sikap welas asih terhadap diri sendiri bukan hanyaberdampak pada penurunan emosi negatif seperti stres dan kecemasan, tetapi juga berperan dalammeningkatkan aspek-aspek positif seperti penerimaan diri, tujuan hidup, dan relasi positif dengan oranglain.

Abstract

Mental health remains a critical priority, as individuals with good mental well-being tend to experience a higher quality of life. However, mental health issues such as depression, anxiety, and psychological distress are increasingly prevalent among university students. One contributing factor to these issues is the excessive use of social media, driven by rapid technological advancements. This study aims to empirically examine the relationship between social media addiction and mental health among university students. A quantitative approach was employed, with the population consisting of students from University X. The sampling technique used was purposive sampling, involving a total of 111 students. Data were analyzed using Pearson’s product-moment correlation to test the research hypothesis. The results indicated a significant negative relationship between social media addiction and students’ mental health (r = -0.407; p < 0.01). These findings suggest that the higher the level of social media addiction, the lower the level of mental health among students, and vice versa.
