Abstract

Green synthesized nanomaterials have been widely developed because of their less toxicity, low energy process, environmentally friendly, effective, cheap, and pollution-free. Green synthesis of silver doped titanium dioxide nanoparticles (Ag/TiO2 NPs) was carried out using Mirabilis jalapa plant extract. The plant extract was used as a reducing agent. The functional groups, morphology, and crystalline structure of as-synthesized Ag/TiO2 NPs were investigated by FT-IR, FESEM, and XRD. Analysis by FESEM confirmed that the morphology of Ag/TiO2 NPs is spherical with an average size of ~ 400 nm. Crystallite size for the Ag/TiO2 NPs was calculated by the Scherrer formula dan the average size found to be in the range of 15.72 nm. The result of XRD analysis showing the fcc structure for metallic silver and TiO2 particles in the anatase and rutile phases.

Abstract

Internet of Things (IoT) needs to be developed in education and serves as one of the roles of education to face the industrial revolution 4.0. Vocational High School (SMK) is an appropriate level of education to prepare early for knowledge and application of IoT technology. Vocational High School Jakarta 1 has good technology but the competency of applying IoT expertise is still lacking. To improve the understanding and application of IoT, Physics Engineering Study Program of Binawan University proposes a solution in the form of training with the theme: Implementing Internet of Things (IoT) to improve student competence in Vocational High School Jakarta 1. This training aims to introduce about IoT especially implementation in the scheme monitoring by using light and temperature sensors to increase student motivation and competence in the industrial era 4.0. Based on the analysis of the data, it was concluded that the competency of student expertise could be significantly increased through IoT training to be accepted with significance level of 0.05. The method of implementing training is team work that is able to make the training more effectively and efficiently.

Abstract

This research aimed to describe the effectiveness of problem solving learning model to increase student’s flexibility thinking skills in electrolyte-nonelectrolyte subject matter. The population of this research was students of class X SMA Al-Azhar 3 Bandar lampung on academic year 2013/2014. Sample was taken by purposive sampling technique. The sample in this research were class X2 and X3. The method of the research was quasi experimental with non equivalent pretest-posttest control group design. The effectiveness of problem solving learning model was showed by the significant difference of n-Gain between control class and experiment class. The results showed that the average n-Gain of flexibility thinking skills of control class and experiment class were 0,30 and 0,51 respectively. The result of hypothesis testing showed that problem solving learning model was effective to improve student’s flexibility thinking skills in electrolyte-nonelectrolyte subject matter.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan efektivitas model pembelajaran problem solving dalam meningkatkan keterampilan berpikir luwes pada materi larutan elektrolit-nonelektrolit. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas X SMA Al-Azhar 3 Bandar lampung Tahun Pelajaran 2013/2014. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan teknik purposive sampling. Sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah kelas X2 dan X3. Metode pada penelitian ini adalah kuasi eksperimen dengan non equivalent pretest-posttest group design. Efektivitas model pembelajaran problem solving ditunjukkan oleh perbedaan n-Gain yang signifikan antara kelas kontrol dan kelas eksperimen. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa rata-rata n-Gain keterampilan berpikir luwes pada kelas kontrol dan kelas eksperimen sebesar 0,30 dan 0,51. Hasil pengujian hipotesis menunjukkan bahwa model pembelajaran problem solving pada materi larutan elektrolit-nonelektrolit efektif dalam meningkatkan keterampilan berpikir luwes.Kata kunci: keterampilan berpikir luwes, larutan elektrolit-nonelektrolit, model pembelajaran problem solving

Abstract

Larutan Turk memiliki komposisi salah satunya yaitu asam asetat glasial. Jeruk Nipis (C. aurantifolia S.) adalah jenis citrus yang mempunyai kandungan asam sitrat dengan pH 2,0. Kedua bahan itu adalah asam lemah yang mampu melisiskan sel darah selain leukosit. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan desain penelitian eksperimen, dengan populasi 35 pasien di Laboratorium RS Hasanah Graha Afiah. Hasil dari penelitian ini didapat persamaan pada hubungan antara variasi konsentrasi air perasan jeruk nipis 1 % dengan larutan Turk yaitu dengan nilai R Square = 0,8977, hubungan antara variasi konsentrasi air perasan jeruk nipis 2 % dengan larutan Turk yaitu dengan nilai R Square = 0,9978, pada hubungan antara variasi konsentrasi air perasan jeruk nipis 3 % dengan larutan Turk yaitu dengan nilai R Square = 0,9109, pada hubungan antara variasi konsentrasi air perasan jeruk nipis 4 % dengan larutan Turk yaitu dengan nilai R Square = 0,7005, pada hubungan antara variasi konsentrasi air perasan jeruk nipis 5 % dengan larutan Turk yaitu dengan nilai R Square = 0,4492. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa variasi konsentrasi air perasan jeruk nipis mampu digunakan sebagai pengganti komposisi larutan Turk. Pada penelitian ini variasi konsentrasi 2% adalah konsentrasi paling efektif dibandingkan dengan variasi konsentrasi yang lain, karena hasil yang diperoleh tidak jauh berbeda dengan hasil yang diperoleh oleh dari larutan kontrol (larutan Turk).

Abstract

Kaki diabetik merupakan komplikasi kronik pada tungkai bawah yang sering terjadi pada pasien Diabetes Melitus yang tidak terkontrol. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara jumlah leukosit dan jumlah jenis leukosit dengan glukosa darah pada pasien kaki diabetik. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain penelitian deskriptif analitik dengan pendekatan cross sectional, data diambil dengan total sampling yaitu sebanyak 32 sampel sesuai kriteria inklusi di RSUD Depok. Terdapat tiga jenis klasifikasi pada pasien diabetik yaitu komplikasi perifer, ulkus pedis dan gangren. Data glukosa darah yang digunakan yaitu glukosa darah sewaktu, didapatkan hasil uji korelasi dengan nilai p < 0,05 terdapat hubungan glukosa darah dengan neutrofil segmen (p=0,042), dan limfosit (p=0,035). Namun tidak terdapat hubungan antara glukosa darah sewaktu dengan jumlah leukosit (p=0,428), basofil (p=0,412), eosinfoil (p=0,154), neutrofil batang (p=0,140), dan monosit (p=0,644).

Abstract

The focus of this study was to compare the antimicrobial activity of silver nanoparticles (AgNPs) synthesized using ethanol extracts (AgNPE) and water extracts (AgNPA) from four o’clock flowers (Mirabilis jalapa) against Staphylococcus aureus. AgNPs were characterized by UV-Vis diffraction, FTIR, SEM, and X-rays. UV-Vis analysis showed that AgNPA has an SPR band of about 460 nm and 530 nm for AgNPE, which proves the characteristics of the absorbance area of AgNPs. SEM images of AgNPE and AgNPA show a cuboid shape with a mean diameter of 80 and 30 nm, respectively and well dispersed. The response to the presence of polysaccharide biomolecules involved in forming AgNPs was analyzed using a Fourier transform infrared spectrometer. The result was that AgNPA and AgNPE have different reducing agents. The plant extracts, AgNPE and AgNPA, were studied for their antimicrobial activity against Staphylococcus aureus. The result was that both AgNPA and AgNPE showed good activity and showed that AgNPA with less inhibition was more effective than AgNPE.

Abstract

Covid-19 caused by the SARS-CoV-2 virus and is transmitted through droplets. In Covid-19 patients who are critical or have severe symptoms, hypercytokines are often found, which is characterized by an increase in the cytokine Interleukin-6 (IL-6). High levels of IL-6 cytokines can disrupt the immune system, including leukocytes, especially lymphocytes, which are the main system of the immune response. The state of continued inflammation and continuously stimulated lymphocytes will cause the lymphocytes to work too hard. This study aims to determine the relationship of Interleukin-6 (IL-6) with lymphocytes in Covid-19 positive patients. This study is a quantitative research with correlation analysis method using data collection technique by purposive sampling. Furthermore, to analyze, the authors used the Kolmogorov-Smirnov normality test and the Spearman correlation test. The results of the analysis showed a fairly significant correlation between levels of Interleukin-6 (IL-6) and the number of lymphocytes in Covid-19 positive patients.

Abstract

Pembangunan kesehatan merupakan komponen dari Pembangunan Nasional untuk meningkatkan kesadaran, kemauan dan kemampuan hidup sehat bagi setiap orang agar terwujud derajat kesehatan masyarakat yang setinggi- tingginya. Kampung Legok Jengkol Desa Majalaya Cianjur merupakan Desa yang masih kurang dalam hal pembangunan kesehatan, karena fasilitas kesehatan yang sulit dijangkau oleh masyarakat. Pos Obat Desa (POD) merupakan salah satu alternatif fasilitas kesehatan yang sangat cocok didirikan di Kampung Legok Jengkol Desa Majalaya, agar masyarakat setempat dapat melakukan swamedikasi pada penyakit ringan.

Abstract

A novel preparation of silver nanoparticles using Morus nigra leaves extract, as opposed to the physical and chemical methods had been used in this work. Their active phytochemical compounds will reduce Ag+ and form AgNPs (Ag0). A peak spectrum at 460 nm was formed and confirmed as the Surface Plasmon Resonance (SPR). Vibration at 1643 cm-1 and 3286 cm-1 which characteristic of C=C bonds and (-OH) hydroxyl groups, respectively. An X-ray diffraction (XRD) examination of silver with good crystallinity revealed its distinctive pattern. According to the results of transmission electron microscopy (TEM), the produced AgNPs-Morus nigra leaves extract were between 10 and 20 nm in size. Using L-dihydroxyphenylalanine (L-DOPA) as the substrate, the synthesized AgNPs-Morus nigra were tested for their tyrosinase inhibitory activity, and the results are substantial when compared to kojic acid as a control. The percentages of inhibition from crude extract, AgNPs, and kojic acid at 100 µg/mL are to be found at 12.10 %, 64.80 %, and 59.84 %, respectively. Based on the results of this work, AgNPs can be produced by utilizing a green synthesis method with leaves extract, making them a promising candidate for use in medicine and cosmetics.
