Abstract

This research aims to identify the dominant forms of linguistic anomalies or language errors in internship reports written by Business Administration students at Politeknik Negeri Sriwijaya (Polsri), analyze their causative factors, and explore their implications for professional competence. The study employed a qualitative descriptive approach utilizing the Error Analysis (EA) framework based on the Indonesian General Guidelines for Spelling (PUEBI) and standard Indonesian grammar. The sample consisted of 30 internship reports from 2024 Business Administration students selected through purposive sampling.Analysis of a total of 880 linguistic anomalies (estimated) revealed that Spelling and Punctuation (SP) errors ranked the highest, accounting for 37.50% of the total errors. The most frequent sub-category within this domain was Standard Word Usage (15.34%) (e.g., Praktek instead of Praktik). The second highest was Morphological and Syntactical (MS) errors (34.66%), with Ineffective Sentences (24.43%) being the primary syntactical issue (characterized by word redundancy and the use of non-standard conjunctions like Dimana). These errors are attributed to a combination of intralingual factors (overgeneralization of affixation rules) and extralingual factors (interference from spoken/informal register). Overall, these findings have serious implications, namely diminishing the reports’ credibility and fostering a negative perception of students’ professionalism within the industry due as they are perceived as careless and lacking meticulousness.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the language choice patterns of Civil Servant (ASN) lecturers in the Business Administration Department of Sriwijaya State Polytechnic in various formal and informal communication contexts. This study used a qualitative descriptive method with data collection techniques through observation, questionnaire distribution, and interviews with 29 respondents. The results showed that the lecturers implemented a functional diglossia pattern by utilizing Indonesian, regional languages ??(Palembang), and foreign languages ??according to the situational context. Indonesian functions as a high code that is predominantly used in formal domains, such as lectures, academic guidance, meetings, and administrative services, with a usage rate reaching 96.5–96.55%. Conversely, situational code switching occurs to Palembang in non-formal domains, especially in casual conversations with students (55.2%) and social communication with neighbors (62.1%). This code shift aims to build familiarity, strengthen social solidarity, and strengthen cultural identity. Sociolinguistically, the lecturers' linguistic behavior demonstrates adaptive abilities to the context, interlocutors, and communication goals. This phenomenon confirms that language choice is not a random behavior, but rather the result of complex linguistic and social awareness. Thus, the linguistic practices of Polsri lecturers represent a form of functional bilingualism that balances the demands of academic professionalism and the expression of cultural identity in everyday communication within higher education settings.

Abstract

Background of the study: Early childhood is a crucial stage of rapid development across cognitive, motor, social, and emotional domains. To support this growth, learning approaches that foster creativity and independence are essential. Nature-based learning provides opportunities for children to interact directly with their environment, offering rich multisensory experiences that stimulate imagination, creativity, and problem-solving. Through exploration and hands-on engagement with nature, children also develop autonomy, responsibility, and risk assessment skills. This study explores the role of nature-based learning in fostering creativity and independence in the context of Early Childhood Education (ECE) in Indonesia. Aims and scope of paper: This paper examines how nature-based learning can enhance creativity and independence in children aged 0–6 years. It discusses key theories, principles, and benefits, provides practical applications from ECE settings, and highlights the role of educators in designing effective nature-based learning experiences. Methods: A literature review approach was used, drawing from academic journals, books, and relevant articles. The data were analyzed qualitatively to identify concepts, benefits, and teaching strategies related to nature-based learning in early childhood. Results: The findings suggest that nature-based learning significantly supports the development of creativity and independence. Activities like outdoor play, exploration, and gardening enhance children's ability to express ideas and solve problems, while also fostering decision-making and self-regulation. Educators play a vital role as facilitators in creating safe, engaging environments that promote meaningful exploration. Contribution: This study offers practical guidance for ECE educators and contributes to the academic discussion on holistic, contextual learning models that support young children's development.

Abstract

Objectives The participants in this study are members of the class of 2020 at Panca Sakti University Bekasi's Economic Education Research Program. The purpose of this research is to investigate the influence that one's self-efficacy and perspective of the teaching profession have on one's level of motivation to enter the teaching profession. This study employs a survey or questionnaire approach to quantitative research with an associative approach, using multiple linear regression analysis to analyze the resulting data. A total of 104 students were selected at random for this analysis. According to the results, an individual's self-efficacy had a more significant influence on their interest in entering the teaching profession than did their perception of the teaching profession itself. If a person is interested in becoming an educator, one factor that goes into the decision-making process is how they feel about themselves in relation to the teaching profession and how confident they are in their abilities.

Abstract

This qualitative study investigates the influence of organizational culture on the effectiveness of internal audit processes within organizations. Through a comprehensive literature review and supplementary data collection methods, including interviews with internal auditors and organizational leaders, the study explores the intricate relationship between work culture and internal audit outcomes. The research draws on theoretical frameworks such as agency theory and social identity theory to conceptualize the influence of organizational culture on audit practices and performance. The findings reveal that a strong organizational culture characterized by ethical norms, transparency, and accountability enhances internal audit effectiveness by fostering trust, compliance, and collaboration among employees. Conversely, a weak or dysfunctional culture may impede audit effectiveness by hindering communication, collaboration, and compliance. The study highlights the importance of cultivating a supportive culture that aligns with audit objectives to optimize audit outcomes and promote organizational success. These insights contribute to a deeper understanding of the mechanisms through which organizational culture influences internal audit effectiveness and offer practical implications for organizations seeking to enhance audit performance and organizational resilience.
