Abstract

Keluarga adalah lingkungan pertama bagi anak dalam melakukan interaksi. Interaksi yang dilakukan membutuhkan komunikasi dan hal tersebut memiliki peranan penting dalam membentuk anak, salah satunya membentuk konsep diri anak. Orang tua menjadi sangat penting bagi terbentuknya konsep diri anak karena apa yang dikomunikasikan oleh orang tua kepada anaknya lebih bermakna daripada informasi lain yang didapat anak sepanjang hidupnya. Penelitian ini ialah kuantitatif korelasional yang bertujuan untuk melihat hubungan antara komunikasi orang tua dengan konsep diri siswa, dengan siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 5 Kota Jambi yang berjumlah 364 siswa sebagai populasi. Teknik dari pengambilan sampel memakai teknik dari simpel random sampling sehingga didapati jumlah sampel sebanyak 190 siswa. Berdasarkan hasil analisis korelasi didapatkan besar r hitung 0,437 > r tabel 0,1194 dengan tingkat kepercayaan α 0,05, dan melalui perhitungan SPSS Sig senilai 0.000 < 0.05 sehingga Ho ditolak dan Ha diterima. Kemudian besar r hitung 0,437 ditafsirkan sebagai korelasi sedang (hubungan memadai). Dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat hubungan yang positif dan bermakna antara komunikasi orang tua dengan konsep diri siswa.

Abstract

This study aims to determine how the influence caused by the role playing technique provided by the teacher on increasing student confidence. In this study using experimenta research with a quantitative approach. The sample amounted to 16 students for the experimental class and 16 students for the control class and if added up to32students. The analysis used used simple regression analysis and t-test. The results of this study obtained a significance value in the experimental class of 0.012 ≤0.05 through this value it can be concluded that there is an effect of role playing on increasing student confidence at SMP N 8 Jambi City. The calculated t value is 2.886≥t_table = 2.145, which means that there is an effect of role playing on increasing student confidence at SMP N 8 Jambi City.

Abstract

This research aims to reveal the relationship between gender stereotype perceptions and students' self-presentation at SMA Negeri 1 Muaro Jambi. This research is limited only to gender stereotyped views of students' daily life at school. This type of research is quantitative research with correlational methods. The sample in this research was students in classes X and The instruments used were gender stereotype questionnaires and student self-presentation questionnaires. Data were analyzed using the Percentage Test with formula C, statistical assumption test, and Correlation Test. The research results show that: 1) the level of perception of gender stereotypes of students at SMA Negeri 1 Muaro Jambi is in the high category with a percentage of 78%. 2) students' self-presentation at SMA Negeri 1 Muaro Jambi is in the high category with a percentage of 74%. 3) The research results also show that the correlation results are known to be positive at 0.414 > r table 0.138 with a sig result of 0.000 < 0.05. The Pearson correlation value obtained is interpreted using correlation guidelines, where the calculated r (0.414) is in the range (0.40 – 0.70) which is interpreted as falling into the category of having an adequate relationship. So it can be concluded that there is a significant relationship in the positive direction between perceptions of gender stereotypes and students' self-presentation.

Abstract

This research was motivated by the phenomenon of students behaving verbally aggressively at SMP Negeri 5 Jambi City. Verbal aggressive behavior itself can be influenced by various factors, one of which is interpersonal communication. The aim of this research is to measure the level of interpersonal communication, the level of verbal aggressive behavior, and to determine the influence of interpersonal communication on verbal aggressive behavior. This research uses quantitative research methods with simple regression analysis. The sampling technique used was the Slovin formula with a total research sample of 285 students. Data collection tools used interpersonal communication questionnaires and verbal aggressive behavior questionnaires with Likert scale measurements. The results of the research show that the significance value is 0.000 < 0.05 and the t value > t table or -13.298 > 1.973, which means that there is a significant influence between interpersonal communication on verbal aggressive behavior, with the direction of the influence being negative.

Abstract

This research is motivated by problems releted to student learning motivation in schools which are influenced by several factors one of which is emotional intelligence. Motivation plays an important role in improving student learning outcomes, if students’ emotional intelligence is low it can cause students’ learning motivation to be low, resulting is various problem such as liking to look at other people’s assignments, chatting daring class huors, leaving class and not following process until the end. The research uses a quatitative approach with correlation research methods, while for sampling technique, the number of samples used in this research was 122 class XI student at SMA Negeri 1 Muaro Jambi. The instrument used was a questionnaire with the a Likert scale. The results of the research show a significant value of 0,000 ≤ 0,05 and the calculated r value of 0,660 is in range (0,41-0,70) which is interpreted as being in the category of having a moderate relationship (adequate relatioship) so it can be cancluded that there is a positive relationship. And significant relationship between emtional intelligence and learning motivation of class XI SMA Negeri 1 Muaro Jambi.

Abstract

Every individual experiences changes in the quality of self through the process, starting from small to large things. In the process of self-adjustment, students can face problems of acceptance and rejection in their relationships. Self-adjustment can be defined as the adaptation of the individual self to a new place in order to accept, such as students at school who must adapt to teachers, subjects, peers, and to the physical and social environment. Conditions such as self-confidence and limited abilities can make it difficult for students to adjust to a new school. The purpose of this study was to determine the level of self-confidence of new students, to determine the level of student self-adjustment, and to reveal the effect of new student self-confidence on student self-adjustment at SMPN 22 Jambi City, finding many seventh grade students who have difficulty adapting to a new environment and have problems adjusting to classmates, especially when studying. Type of quantitative research with an ex-post facto approach. The sampling technique used is simple random sampling with a confidence level of α 0.05 with the Slovin formula. The sample obtained was 153 students, which were divided into 9 classes. In the results of research calculations, seventh grade students at SMPN 22 Jambi City showed that their level of self-adjustment was at a “high” level with an overall percentage of 72.3%. The results showed that the new student self-confidence variable (X) had an influence on the self-adjustment variable (Y) of 6.3%. From the results of the questionnaire analysis on new student self-confidence and self-adjustment given to 153 seventh grade students at SMPN 22 Jambi City, it can be seen that there is an influence between new student self-confidence and self-adjustment, namely 6.3% which is at a “high or strong” level.

Abstract

This research was motivated by the results of preliminary data found by researchers which showed that there were still many students who had low prosocial behavior. Students lack initiative to help others. If this is not addressed, it can lead to an increasingly indifferent attitude towards other people, which can later result in them growing into people who have highly individual characteristics and do not like to help selflessly. The aim of this research is to determine the influence of spiritual intelligence on the prosocial behavior of students at SMA N 1 Muaro Jambi. With a research population of 262 students in grades VII and VIII. The type of research used by researchers is qualitative research using an ex post facto research approach. The analysis used to determine the influence of each variable uses a simple linear regression analysis technique. Subjects in this study were selected using a simple random sampling technique, data collection tools using a questionnaire. The results of the research show that there is a positive influence between spiritual intelligence on students' prosocial behavior at SMA Negeri 1 Muaro Jambi. With a correlation value of 0.508 and a regression of 0.258, which means that the influence of the independent variable (spiritual intelligence) on the dependent variable (prosocial behavior) is 25.8%. Thus, by using regression interpretation criteria, the R square value (0.258) is in the range of 0.17-0.49, which means that spiritual intelligence has a fairly strong influence on prosocial behavior.

Abstract

This research aims to describe what internal and external factors cause academic procrastination among students at SMP Negeri 22 Jambi City. The method used in this research is a descriptive quantitative approach. The sample in this research is class VIII students for the 2023/2024 academic year with a total sample of 88 students. The sampling technique uses total sampling technique. The data collection tool used was a questionnaire containing 21 statement items, then the results obtained were analyzed using the percentage formula formula C. The results of the analysis obtained proved that internal and external factors were recognized as causes of academic procrastination of class VIII students at SMP Negeri 22 Jambi City. Internal factors within students are of medium quality with a percentage of 50.5% and external factors are of good quality with a percentage of 64%.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas layanan konseling kelompok dalam mereduksi tingkat learned helplessness pada siswa kelas 10 di salah satu sekolah menengah kejuruan. Learned helplessness merupakan kondisi psikologis ketika individu merasa tidak berdaya, pasrah, dan pesimis dalam menghadapi tantangan, yang pada akhirnya dapat menurunkan motivasi belajar dan kesehatan mental. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan desain eksperimen One Group Pretest-Posttest. Subjek penelitian berjumlah 8 siswa yang dipilih berdasarkan hasil asesmen awal. Data diperoleh melalui penyebaran angket learned helplessness sebelum dan sesudah intervensi layanan konseling kelompok. Hasil pretest menunjukkan bahwa sebagian besar siswa berada pada kategori sedang hingga tinggi, dengan rata-rata skor 82,25 (57%). Setelah mengikuti empat sesi konseling kelompok, terjadi penurunan signifikan dengan rata-rata skor posttest menjadi 68,50 (47%). Hasil uji-t menunjukkan nilai signifikansi 0,034 (p < 0,05), yang berarti terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan antara skor pretest dan posttest. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa layanan konseling kelompok efektif dalam mereduksi learned helplessness pada siswa. Penelitian ini menunjukkan pentingnya pelaksanaan layanan konseling kelompok secara rutin dan terstruktur untuk membantu siswa mengembangkan kepercayaan diri serta pola pikir yang lebih positif..

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh tingginya tingkat konformitas teman sebaya yang dilakukan oleh peserta didik di lingkungan sekolah, baik dalam bentuk perilaku yang bersifat positif maupun negatif. Hal tersebut terjadi dikarenakan adanya perasaan ingin diterima oleh kelompok teman sebaya sebagai bentuk penghargaan diri. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan dan menguji hubungan harga diri dengan konformitas teman sebaya. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VII SMP Negeri 5 Kota Jambi yang berjumlah 319 siswa, dan diperoleh sampel berjumlah 179 siswa, yang dipilih dengan menggunakan teknik random sampling. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah kuesioner dengan pengukuran skala likert. Data diolah menggunakan analisis deskriptif, asumsi statistik, dan korelasi product moment. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) tingkat harga diri siswa berada pada kategori tinggi dengan persentase sebesar 70,4%, (2) tingkat konformitas teman sebaya siswa berada pada kategori tinggi dengan persentase sebesar 63%, dan (3) terdapat hubungan yang bersifat positif dan signifikan antara harga diri dengan konformitas teman sebaya, dengan diperoleh r hitung sebesar 0,252 yang lebih besar dari r tabel sebesar 0,1459. Berdasarkan hasil temuan penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa semakin tinggi harga diri (X) maka semakin tinggi konformitas teman sebaya (Y). Implikasi hasil penelitian ini dapat menjadi gambaran kondisi siswa kelas VII, sehingga dapat membantu guru Bimbingan dan Konseling dalam menetapkan layanan yang akan diberikan pada siswa SMP Negeri 5 Kota Jambi.
