AbstractThis paper contains a discussion of how to use the archive classification code at PT Semen Padang and the preparation of a guidebook for the use of archive classification codes at the PT Semen Padang Archives Unit. The preparation of this manual aims to assist employees at PT Semen Padang in using the archive classification code in accordance with their respective work units. The research method used in writing this thesis paper is a descriptive research method. Data collection techniques carried out by means of observation and interviews. The subject of data collection was through observation in the PT Semen Padang Archives Unit. Observation was carried out by looking at how the employee's understanding was in giving the classification code of the archive. Subsequently interviews were conducted with employees at the PT Semen Padang Archives Unit. The author conducts a question and answer session with employees directly regarding the use of the archive classification code, the constraints faced in using the classification code, and the solutions to these constraints. Based on these results it can be concluded that the preparation of the archival classification code guidebook is actually to assist employees in providing archival classification codes properly and correctly. In the archive classification code manual in the PT Semen Padang Archives Unit, it can be concluded that the steps in preparing the archive classification code manual are: (1) needs analysis, based on the needs of employees in using the archive classification code as well as efforts to overcome obstacles encountered. (2) product design, to find out what are the points that will be explained in the preparation of the archive classification code manual made in the form of a chart. (3) product compilation, the process of compiling the product manual is the use of archive classification codes. With the archive classification code manual in PT Semen Padang's Filing Unit, it can help employees to avoid finding errors in archiving and is easy to find again.Keywords: classification code, archive, guide book

The purpose of community service activities is to improve the ability of educational staff in making official letters and managing school archives. The target of this activity is the education staff of SMA/SMK/SLB di Dinas Pendidikan Cabang Wilayah VII Provinsi Sumatera Barat. In this activity, problems will be completely solved related to the making of official letters and the management of school archives to realize school accountability. The approach used in implementing community service programs is Participatory Rural Appraisal (PRA) which emphasizes partner participation in all activities, from planning, implementation, and evaluation. The output target in the form of a process is an increase in the ability of the target audience in understanding the concept and process of making official letters and managing school archives. The results of the training and mentoring activities carried out are expected to create school archives that are systematically organized so that the school and the education office can access the archives easily and quickly.

Local knowledge is the knowledge found in local communities that consists of a set of experiences that have been accumulated and provides information that shows the local community or local culture’s behavioral characteristics. As a result of a variety of factors, such information is at risk of being obliterated, including lack of interest from younger generations and low life expectancy, where knowledge enables individuals to die before passing it to the next generation. Therefore, this paper aims to look at the perspective of community leaders on the status of local knowledge. The data collection method used in this research is an interview. The results of this study indicate that the Minangkabau community in Agam Regency, Indonesia recognises their customs, cultures, and habits that are different from the general public. The investigation was carried out by involving community leaders related to the dimensions of local knowledge: (1) The environmental dimension of local knowledge through Lubuak Larangan is a type of community custom and culture that involves the preservation of river and lake areas within specific territorial borders and rules; (2) dimensions of local values; (3) dimensions of local abilities are employed to ensure survival by farming, livestock or industry; (4) dimensions of local resources: utilization of natural resources. The Minangkabau community divided its forest into two categories: prohibited forest and forest cultivated or utilised for economic interests and family needs; (5) the local decision-making mechanism’s dimensions; and (6) local group solidarity dimensions: religious rituals, traditional ceremonies, arts, and cooperation.

Background of the study: The topics of local knowledge and information literacy have tremendously been discussed in research on information literacy and local knowledge around the world, including in Indonesia. However, these aspects are still under-researched particularly when it comes to the issue of the status local knowledge and that is related to information literacy. Based on this main gap, this paper presents a study that examined local knowledge and information literacy, to specifically address the issue. Purpose: To identify the status of local knowledge and information literacy among the Minangkabau Community in Agam district, Indonesia. Method: A quantitative approach by using a survey was conducted involving 384 Minangkabau communities in Agam district, Indonesia selected using a random sampling technique Findings: The findings reveal a significant value of 0.000 (p0.05), indicating that there is a substantial positive link between tacit and explicit knowledge and information literacy. Furthermore, the Pearson correlation coefficient value shows a value of 0.712 which is in the range of 0.60 – 0.799 so it is in a strong category. From the results, the analysis shows that the Minangkabau community has positive information literacy and the local knowledge processes variable can encourage activities of local knowledge in the community, special in Agam district, Indonesia. Conclusion: Status of local knowledge cover combination of knowledge such as from tacit and explicit will support the Minangkabau community to sustain their local knowledge with accurate information seeking strategies

Penelitian ini berjudul peran perpustakaan dalam mendukung proses pembelajaran bagi mahasiswa Universitas Negeri Padang. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peran perpustakaan dalam mendukung proses pembelajaran bagi mahasiswa Universitas Negeri Padang. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah jenis penelitian deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Teknik Pengumpulan data di lakukan dengan wawancara, observasi, dokumentasi, studi pustaka (melalui penelitian-penelitian sebelumnya) serta berupa rekaman suara dari responden. Penelitian ini dilakukan di Universitas Negeri Padang (UNP) melibatkan mahasiswa yang sering menggunakan perpustakaan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa perpustakaan berperan dalam mendukung proses pembelajaran yang menyediakan sumber bahan belajar, fasilitas dan layanan yang mendukung pembelajaran, serta akses informasi digital. Selain itu dengan tersedianya sumber bahan belajar juga mendukung dalam proses penelitian dan riset, dibuktikan dengan banyaknya mahasiswa yang berkunjung ke perpustakaan untuk membuat skripsi sebagai tugas akhir yang wajib dipenuhi. Namun penelitian ini juga menemukan beberapa faktor kendala peran perpustakaan dalam mendukung proses pembelajaran seperti kekurangan koleksi bahan pustaka, kekurangan tenaga kerja pustakawan, dan kendala lainnya seperti pengguna perpustakaan yang kurang bijak. Dengan demikian peneliti mengusulkan peningkatan kualitas koleksi dan jumlah pustakawan untuk memaksimalkan peran perpustakaan dalam mendukung proses pembelajaran bagi mahasiswa Universitas Negeri Padang.

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis persepsi pemustaka terhadap kualitas layanan digital di Perpustakaan Universitas Negeri Padang. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah pendekatan kuantitatif dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui kuesioner yang disebarkan kepada 100 responden yang dipilih menggunakan teknik simple random sampling. Analisis data dilakukan secara deskriptif dengan mengukur lima indikator kualitas layanan digital, yaitu tangible, reliability, responsiveness, assurance, dan empathy. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa persepsi pemustaka terhadap kualitas layanan digital secara umum berada pada kategori tinggi, dengan indikator tangible dan assurance memiliki nilai tertinggi. Namun, masih terdapat beberapa kendala dalam aspek reliability, khususnya terkait dengan ketersediaan layanan digital tanpa gangguan teknis. Rekomendasi diberikan untuk meningkatkan infrastruktur teknologi dan pelatihan teknis bagi pemustaka agar lebih optimal dalam memanfaatkan layanan digital.

This community service or Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat (PKM) is motivated by the not yet optimal utilization and understanding of the community in managing the village library and the reading habit of most of the community has not grown well. This community service activity was carried out in Nagari Pakan Sinayan, Kec. Banuhampu Kab. Agam. The target of this activity is the village library manager, village mayor, and village community focused on developing community literacy through community activities that are expected to be able to use the library and be able to determine the right source of information. This activity will be held in August – November 2021. The methods used are lectures, hands-on practice, and mentoring. The results showed that the participants were enthusiastic about the activities carried out by the PKM team. Participants can understand and are committed to following up on this PKM activity by empowering the role of the library as a source of information through reading corners that will be developed in each "jorong".

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis penerapan elemen AIDA (Attention, Interest, Desire, Action) dalam promosi yang dilakukan UPT Perpustakaan Proklamator Bung Hatta melalui media sosial Instagram @uptppbh. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui observasi dan wawancara. Informan terdiri dari tiga orang pengikut akun Instagram @uptppbh yang dipilih secara purposive sampling. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) Elemen Attention tercapai melalui penggunaan konten visual yang menarik, meskipun sebagian pengguna menganggap desain perlu disesuaikan dengan tren terkini; (2) Elemen Interest berhasil menarik minat pengguna melalui caption yang informatif dan persuasif; (3) Elemen Desire mampu membangkitkan keinginan sebagian informan untuk memanfaatkan layanan perpustakaan, khususnya melalui konten rekomendasi buku dan aktivitas; (4) Elemen Action menunjukkan sebagian informan memutuskan untuk mengunjungi dan memanfaatkan layanan perpustakaan berdasarkan promosi yang dilakukan. Namun, terdapat tantangan dalam meningkatkan efektivitas konten agar lebih relevan dan menarik bagi seluruh pengguna. Penelitian ini memberikan wawasan tentang pentingnya strategi promosi berbasis media sosial untuk meningkatkan daya tarik perpustakaan. Di era digital saat ini, semakin marak terjadi praktik berbagi informasi pribadi anak di platform digital (sharenting) yang dilakukan oleh orang tua. Meskipun dapat memperkuat hubungan sosial, praktik ini juga menimbulkan risiko terhadap privasi dan keamanan anak di ruang digital. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis bagaimana pengaruh literasi digital dan persepsi risiko orang tua dalam perlindungan privasi anak di media sosial dalam praktik sharenting. Pendekatan kuantiatif dengan metode survei digunakan dalam penelitian ini yang melibatkan 70 orang tua yang dipilih melalui teknik purposive sampling. Analisis data dilakukan dengan regresi linear berganda. Hasil penelitian mengindikasikan bahwa literasi digital dan persepsi risiko memiliki pengaruh yang signifikan dan positif terhadap perlindungan privasi anak di media sosial. Kedua variabel independen mampu menjelaskan 56% variasi terhadap perlindungan privasi anak, yang ditunjukkan dari nilai Adjusted R-Square sebesar 0,560. Hasil penelitian ini menegaskan perlunya edukasi digital bagi orang tua, agar mereka dapat membagikan informasi dengan bijak dan menjaga hak privasi anak di era digital.

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji strategi pustakawan dalam menghadapi pemustaka Generasi Z di Perpustakaan Universitas Negeri Padang. Generasi Z merupakan generasi yang tumbuh di era digital dan memiliki karakteristik yang berbeda dibanding generasi sebelumnya, seperti kecenderungan mengakses informasi secara cepat dan lebih memilih platform digital. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif dengan teknik pengumpulan data berupa wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Informan terdiri dari kepala perpustakaan dan pustakawan yang memiliki pengalaman dalam melayani pemustaka Generasi Z. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pustakawan menerapkan strategi berdasarkan tiga indikator kompetensi, yaitu: (1) kompetensi manajemen informasi melalui penyediaan layanan digital seperti Sidaring, e-journal, dan e-book; (2) kompetensi interpersonal dengan membangun komunikasi yang ramah, santai, dan interaktif dengan pemustaka; serta (3) kompetensi teknologi informasi dengan memanfaatkan media sosial dan teknologi digital sebagai sarana promosi dan interaksi layanan. Strategi ini terbukti efektif dalam meningkatkan keterlibatan pemustaka dan mempertahankan eksistensi perpustakaan di era digital.
