Abstract

Background: Prison inmates are vulnerable to mental health disorders due to psychological stress during their sentence. Family social support is believed to play a protective role in maintaining psychological stability. Objective: The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between family social support and mental health among inmates at the Class IIB Banyumas State Detention Center. Method: The research method used a quantitative design with a cross-sectional approach. The sample size was 185 respondents using a total sampling technique. The research instruments included a family social support questionnaire (14 items) and the SRQ-20 (20 items) to assess mental health. Data analysis was performed using the Chi-Square test. Result: The results showed that the majority of respondents reported moderate (45.9%) to high (37.8%) family social support. Most respondents did not experience symptoms of mental disorders (84.9%), while the remainder experienced mild (12.4%), moderate (2.2%), and severe (0.5%) symptoms. Statistical tests showed a significant relationship between family social support and mental health (p=0.008). Conclusion: Family social support is significantly associated with the mental health of inmates. The higher the level of family support received, the better the mental health of inmates.

Abstract

Latar Belakang: Hipertensi adalah kondisi tekanan darah meningkat secara abnormal dan terus menerus. Bisa dikatakan hipertensi apabila tekanan darah sistolik lebih dari 120 mmHg dan tekanan diastolik lebih dari 80 mmHg. Penderita hipertensi kemungkinan akan merasa cemas, sehingga diperlukan sebuah terapi untuk menurunkan kecemasan. Terapi mindfulness dapat menurunkan kecemasan karena membantu seseorang menjadi tenang dan positif karena adanya perubahan pada kondisi otak. Tujuan: Memberikan pelatihan terapi mindfulness untuk menurunkan kecemasan pada lansia hipertensi. Metode: Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini menggunakan metode ceramah dan demonstrasi yang didukung oleh media seperti PowerPoint, video, dan selebaran tentang terapi mindfulness. Jumlah peserta sebanyak 20 lansia yang mengalami hipertensi. Tingkat kecemasan pada lansia diukur menggunakan instrumen Zung Self-rating Anxiety Scale (ZSAS), dan keterampilan lansia dalam melakukan terapi mindfulness diukur dengan lembar pemantauan yang terdiri dari 12 tahap. Hasil: Hasil dari kegiatan ini menunjukkan penurunan tingkat kecemasan dari skor rata-rata 39,55 menjadi 34,6. Keterampilan lansia dalam melakukan terapi mindfulness mendapatkan skor rata-rata 89,78, yang menunjukkan bahwa mereka dapat melakukan terapi mindfulness dengan baik. Kesimpulan: Terapi mindfulness telah terbukti efektif dalam mengurangi tingkat kecemasan pada orang lanjut usia. Skor kecemasan rata-rata menurun dari 39,55 menjadi 34,6, dengan penurunan signifikan pada kategori kecemasan sedang dan berat. Selain itu, keterampilan lansia dalam mempraktikkan terapi mindfulness diklasifikasikan sebagai baik, dengan sebagian besar peserta mencapai skor tinggi pada lembar pemantauan.

Abstract

Abstract: Academic anxiety is a common psychological problem experienced by adolescents, particularly vocational high school (SMK) students, impacting their academic performance and mental well-being. This community service program aims to reduce student anxiety levels through education and training in mindfulness breathing techniques using the STOP (Stop, Take a Breath, Observe, Proceed) approach. The activity was conducted at SMK Mulia Husada, Banyumas Regency, involving 11th-grade students, and was carried out in a single training session that included counseling, interactive discussions, and hands-on practice. Initial screening results indicated that most students were in the moderate anxiety category. After the training, more than 90% of students reported feeling calmer and stated that the techniques taught were easy to apply in their daily lives. This program demonstrated that mindfulness training, packaged in an educational and participatory manner, is effective as a promotive and preventive intervention in efforts to strengthen adolescent mental health in the school environment. This activity can be replicated and developed as part of a guidance and counseling program or routine school-based activities to support student psychological resilience.

Abstract

One of the teaching workers is elementary school teachers. Teachers are a vulnerable group and are at risk of experiencing problems in physical and psychological health. The psychological health problem that is often encountered in teachers is work stress. Teachers who experience work stress can be identified through their absence from class, increased emotions, and the illnesses they experience. One way for teachers to reduce work stress is to build self-efficacy. Self-efficacy is a belief in the teacher's ability to carry out teaching tasks. This research aims to determine the description of self-efficacy in elementary school teachers. This type of research is quantitative descriptive with a cross sectional approach which was carried out in elementary schools in the working areas of the Kembaran Regional Headquarters Office and the Purbalingga National Education Department Korwilcam Office. The sampling technique uses purposive sampling technique. The sample size of elementary school teachers was 25 people. The research instrument is the Teacher Sense of Efficacy Scale (TSES) questionnaire consisting of 12 items. The analysis used is quantitative descriptive. The results of this research show that 25 teachers have moderate category self-efficacy, indicated by the highest score in class management abilities. Teacher self-efficacy is the teacher's ability to engage students, classroom management, and teaching. Teacher self-efficacy is very important to be able to optimize teacher performance in the learning process.

Abstract

Santri yang tinggal di pondok pesantren biasanya menghadapi banyak masalah, seperti dorongan orang tua untuk masuk pesantren, stres yang disebabkan oleh tanggung jawab akademik, menyesuaikan diri dengan kebiasaan baru, dan beradaptasi dengan aturan dan lingkungan pesantren. Proses pembelajaran dan kemampuan individu untuk berinteraksi satu sama lain terpengaruh oleh stres yang tidak ditangani dengan baik. Studi ini bertujuan untuk menentukan bagaimana tingkat stres di Pondok Pesantren Mamba'ul Ushulil Hikmah di Banyumas berkorelasi dengan kemampuan beradaptasi. Jenis penelitian ini adalah kuantitatif dengan pendekatan cross sectional yang melibatkan semua santriwan dan santriwati yang tinggal di asrama, dengan 127 responden dari bulan November 2021 hingga bulan Mei 2023. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa responden dengan kemampuan beradaptasi sedang 75 (59,1%), tingkat stres ringan 53 (41,7), dan tingkat stres sedang 53 (41,7). Hasil uji chi-square test menunjukkan p-value = 0,000, kurang dari a = 0,05. Studi ini menemukan bahwa ada korelasi yang signifikan antara tingkat stres santri di Pondok Pesantren Mamba'ul Ushulil Hikmah dan kemampuan mereka untuk beradaptasi.

Abstract

Masalah kesehatan mental yang paling sering terjadi pada lansia adalah depresi dan dimensia. Lansia yang menderita hipertensi dituntut untuk lebih memperhatikan keadaannya dirinya. Ketika lansia menemui masalah keseharian dalam hidupnya akan rentan memunculkan skema negatif awal dan membentuk depresi. Upaya penanganan depresi dapat dilakukan secara nonfarmakologi yaitu dengan terapi tertawa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh terapi tertawa terhadap penurunan tingkat depresi pada lansia hipertensi di UPTD Puskesmas Karangkobar Banjarnegara. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitan ini termasuk penelitian pre-eksperimental dengan tipe one group pre-posttest design. Sampel berjumlah 18 sampel sesuai dengan kriteria inklusi dan ekslusi dengan teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan purposive sampling. Data dianalisis secara univariat dan bivariat dengan menggunakan uji t-test. Terdapat pengaruh pemberian terapi tertawa terhadap penurunan tingkat depresi pada lansia dengan hipertensi di UPTD Puskesmas Karangkobar dengan nilai p-value 0,000 <0,05. Terapi ini baik untuk diterapkan sebagai upaya perawatan penyakit hipertensi dan depresi secara non farmakologi.

Abstract

Ansietas merupakan masalah kesehatan jiwa yang ditandai dengan rasa takut akan kondisi kesehatan yang dihadapi. Salah satu bentuk terapi nonfarmakologis untuk menurunkan ansietas adalah hipnosis 5 jari. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui efektifitas terapi nonfarmakologi hipnosis 5 jari untuk menurunkan ansietas. Studi kasus melalui pengamatan, observasi, serta studi dokumentasi. Tn. P dengan ansietas di Puskesmas Padamara adalah peserta yang diterapkan untuk implementasi ini selama 3 hari mulai tanggal 18 November 2024 sampai 20 November 2024. Pasien mengatakan bahwa rasa cemas telah berkurang, dinilai dari observasi serta ungkapan pasien dengan nilai awal cukup meningkat, saat ini cukup menurun dan akhir cukup menurun. Perilaku gelisah awal cukup meningkat, saat ini cukup menurun dan akhir cukup menurun. Perilaku tegang awal cukup meningkat, saat ini cukup menurun dan akhir cukup menurun. Hasil studi kasus menunjukkan bahwa pasien bisa rileks setelah melakukan terapi relaksasi hypnosis 5 jari

Abstract

The times and increasingly modern technology, encourage a mother to work for financial reasons, self-actualization, and relationships. This makes women workers especially mothers work as vulnerable groups and at risk of occupational health hazards. One of them is the role imbalance between work and family due to multiple roles. This can make the mother work stressful so that it will affect the well-being condition of the mother working in the family. The purpose of this study was to describe the family well-being of mothers who worked as nurses. The design used in this study was descriptive quantitative with 52 respondents who were the results of screening based on inclusion criteria. Family well-being data were analyzed using descriptive analysis. The results of this study indicate the average value of family well-being in mothers who work as nurses is 123.33. The family well-being component consists of the unity of the family system including the relationship of family structure; the relevance of functions or roles in carrying out tasks in the family; and prevent family vulnerability to other influences such as genetic, physiological, sociological or psychological. Based on these results, it can be concluded that family well-being can describe the ability of the mother to work in adapting to her dual role.

Abstract

The Covid-19 pandemic has changed the pattern of learning that should be face-to-face to distance learning or commonly called online. Online learning is an educational innovation that involves elements of information technology in learning. Communication between parents and children is very necessary in the educational process. The general purpose of this researcher is to find out the description of student learning motivation in online learning at SMK Ma'arif NU Ajibarang. The research method used is descriptive quantitative with a cross sectional approach. The sampling technique in this study, researchers used proportionate stratified random sampling of 84 respondents. The data analysis used is univariate analysis. The results showed that the most dominant student age was 16 years old (38.1%), with female gender (76.2%) and the most dominant student learning motivation was in the medium category (45.5%). The conclusion is that there is a relationship between family communication patterns and students' learning motivation in online learning at SMK Ma'arif NU Ajibarang.

Abstract

Introduction: Sleep is a fundamental need for adolescents, yet many experience poor sleep quality due to stress, academic workload, and excessive smartphone use. Such disturbances often lead to decreased concentration and reduced academic performance. Objective: The purpose of this service was to improve the sleep quality of early adolescents at MTs Miftahul Ulum Karangpari, Brebes, through the application of progressive muscle relaxation (PMR) techniques as a nonpharmacological intervention. Method: This public service was conducted in two sessions involving 13 eighth-grade students. Activities included counseling, demonstrations, and practice of PMR techniques. Sleep quality was measured using the Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index (PSQI) before and after the intervention to assess changes in participants’ sleep patterns. Result: The findings showed a notable improvement in sleep quality after the intervention. Before the program, 53.84% of participants had poor sleep quality, 23.08% moderate, and 23.08% good. After implementing PMR, 46.15% achieved good sleep quality, 46.15% moderate, and only 7.70% remained in the poor category. The results indicate an overall improvement of three participants moving to the good category and a reduction of six participants from the poor category.
