Abstract

This study aims to determine whether there is a relationship between self-confidence and student mathematics learning outcomes. This kind of study can be called a quantitative descriptive conducted at SMPN 9 Pontianak. The population in this study was class VIII students, the research sample, namely class VIII D students, was 30 students. The data collected are the results of learning tests in the form of mathematical description problems and self-confidence questionnaires. Based on processed data assisted by Microsoft Excel and SPSS 16 by applying tests for correlation of product moments the results of the analysis data are descriptive. Based on the research findings, it can be said that learning outcomes in mathematics and student confidence are interrelated with a correlation of 0.877. That way it can be concluded that the level of self-confidence that students have correlates with the results of learning mathematics. Abstract

The discourse of ‘urf in Islamic fiqh has been a topic of discussion and attention in recent years. One of the related discourses is the emergence of Fiqh Nusantara as part of the Islam Nusantara discourse that was established and promoted by Nahdlatul Ulama in its Congress held in Jombang in 2015. This discourse is an effort to renew Islamic fiqh by paying more attention to local customs, the prevailing ‘urf, as well as the diverse cultures in Indonesia. Fiqh Nusantara uses the theory of ‘urf as the main method to understand shar‘i texts and formulate Islamic laws. This research also compares the theory of ‘urf in Fiqh Nusantara with the discussion of classical scholars in the treasures of Islamic fiqh and examines how Orientalists study this theory. This research highlights how the concept of ‘urf underwent a transformation, from being considered as an independent argument, following other valid arguments, to an independent argument equal to the Qur’an, Hadith, Ijma‘, and Qiyas. In addition, this research also examines how Orientalist and modernist studies influenced this change in concept, as well as how modern nation-states transformed ‘urf from a mere source of shar‘i law in Islamic fiqh to a symbol of national identity that every country should build and be proud of. This transformation is even used as a differentiator between one country and another around the world.

Abstract

The students of the Nautical Fishing Vessel (Nautika Kapal Penangkap Ikan or NKPI) program at the State Secondary Fisheries Business School (Sekolah Usaha Perikanan Menengah Negeri or SUPMN) Pontianak cannot solve maritime problems properly, for example, shipping problems. One of the reasons is that maritime problems have not been integrated into the competency achievement indicators of Trigonometry topic. The aims of this research are to produce supplement of Trigonometry textbook that incuded marine problems. This research is a research and development (R&D) with 4D (define, design, develop, and disseminate) model. Data collection uses questionnaires, interviews, validation sheets, and maritime problem-solving test. The analytical techniques used include descriptive analysis and calculating the sign-test. The research results show that the supplement of Trigonometry textbook had a good impact on students’ skill in solving marine problems.

Abstract

This research aims to describe mathematical literacy in solving one-variable linear inequality problems in relation to the learning outcomes of class VIII students at SMP Negeri 6 Meliau. The method used in this research is qualitative descriptive research. The research instrument used in this research was test questions. The subjects of this research were class VIII students for the 2023/2024 academic year with a total of 22 students. The type of data collected is the results of students' mathematical literacy tests. Data were analyzed based on mathematical literacy stages and looked at the relationship between mathematical literacy and student learning outcomes. The results of data analysis on students' mathematical literacy abilities at the stage of formulating problems into mathematical form are included in the incapable category, at the stage of using strategies to determine solutions to problems are included in the incapable category, at the stage of interpreting the results obtained are included in the incapable category, the relationship between mathematical literacy with student learning outcomes classified as very strong.

Abstract

Tujuan pengabdian ini adalah memanfaatkan teknologi sebagai penunjang KTI mahasiswa dan dosen pendidikan matematika di STKIP Melawi wilayah nanga pinoh. Karya tulis ilmiah yang ditunjang dengan pemanfaatan teknologi adalah laporan berupa yang dipublikasikan ataupun dipaparkan dari hasil pengkajian ataupun penelitian yang telah dilakukan, yang dalam penulisannya memperhatikan kaidah atau etika keilmuan yang berlaku dimasyarakat ke ilmuan yang berbasis pemanfaatan teknologi. Bentuk PKM ini adalah Workshop atau pelatihan tentang pemanfaatan teknologi untuk menunjang KTI Mahasiswa dan Dosen di STKIP Melawi Wilayah Nanga Pinoh. Targetnya akan diikuti oleh mahasiswa dan dosen pendidikan matematika STKIP Melawi. Metode pemanfaatan tekologi untuk menunjang KTI ini meliputi: 1) menyesuaikan dengan aturan penulisan yang berlaku, 2) ada bagian pembuka, pendahuluan, pembahasan, metodologi penelitian, hasil penelitian, penutup, dan bagian penunjang. Subjek penelitiannya adalah mahasiswa dan dosen program studi pendidikan matematika STKIP Melawi. Kegiatannya berupa workshop/pelatihan. Produknya berupa Karya Tulis Ilmiah ditunjang dari pemanfaatan teknologi. Rencana Kegiatan PKM ini adalah: 1) persiapan yakni penetapan tempat dan memperoleh ijin pelaksanaan, dan KTI yang ditunjang dari teknologi; 2) pelaksanaan yakni melaksanakan workshop, analisis hasil tes, dan pendampingan penyusunan KTI memanfaatkan teknologi, pelaksanaan workshop di kelas; 3) akhir yakni penyusunan KTI memanfaatkan teknologi. Luarannya adalah KTI. Hasil PKM ini adalah terlaksananya kegiatan Workshop KTI memanfaatkan Teknologi sesuai dengan langkah-langkah yang telah ditetapkan dan terjalinnya kuliah kunjungan dengan STKIP Melawi.

Abstract

Abstrak             Program ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi kendala-kendala dan mencatat kebuntuan sehingga pertentangan (konflik) yang sama tidak akan muncul lagi untuk selanjutnya dengan menganalisis dan menyimpan alasan jalan buntu, dan menggunakannya untuk memandu keputusan doing math masa depan. Satu kendala proses pembelajaran matematika selama ini adalah karena dijalankannya latihan pra-pemrosesan atau tetapi melakukan pencarian mundur. Sementara, kendala baru disajikan dari suatu algoritma yang menemui situasi jalan buntu, atau melalui pendekatan induksi pada saat seharusnya tidak dilakukan. Kendala ini tidak membantu sewaktu strategi kendali mundur digunakan dan tidak akan pernah terulang kembali. Sebaliknya, fakta matematis yang muncul akan bertentangan dengan struktur sistem, sehingga terekam informasi dalam bentuk kendala eksplisit baru. Bahan ajar (modul pembelajaran) yang ada saat ini masih bersifat mandiri, jauh dari skema representasi masalah dan algoritma untuk memecahkannya. Peserta pengabdian adalah guru MGMP Pendidikan Matematika di Kabupaten Mempawah. Metode pelaksanaan dilakukan dalam tujuh tahap. Hasil kegiatan ini adalah guru MGMP Pendidikan Matematika di Mempawah teramati selalu berhadapan dengan kemampuan penyelesaian masalah. Ternyata, mereka masih harus dibekali agar berkemampuan: representasi, operasionalisasi, menyusun hipotesis-hipotesis alternatif dan prosedur kerja, mengetes hipotesis untuk memperoleh hasilnya, dan memeriksa kembali. Kata kunci: kendala kepuasan; model penanganan; matematika. AbstractThis program aims to explore obstacles and record deadlocks so that similar conflicts will not arise again in the future by analyzing and storing the reasons for deadlocks, and using them to guide future math doing decisions. One obstacle in the mathematics learning process so far is due to carrying out pre-processing exercises or doing backward searches. Meanwhile, new constraints are presented from an algorithm that reaches a deadlock situation, or through an induction approach when it should not be used. This constraint is not helpful when a reverse control strategy is used and will never be repeated. On the other hand, the mathematical facts that emerge will conflict with the structure of the system, so that information is recorded in the form of new explicit constraints. The current teaching materials (learning modules) are still independent, far from problem representation schemes and algorithms for solving them. Service participants are MGMP Mathematics Education teachers in Mempawah Regency. The method for implementing community service activities is carried out in seven stages. The result of this activity was that MGMP Mathematics Education teachers in Mempawah were observed to always be dealing with problem solving abilities. Apparently, they still have to be equipped to be able to: represent, operationalize, develop alternative hypotheses and work procedures, test hypotheses to obtain results, and check again. Keywords: satisfaction constraints; handling model; mathematics.
