Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan kemampuan pemahaman konsep geometri garis lurus pada siswa yang dibimbing oleh Kumon Ayani Megamall Pontianak. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif yang melibatkan 3 (tiga) siswa Kumon Ayani Megamall Pontianak dengan tingkat pendidikan dan sekolah yang berbeda. Pertanyaan yang diberikan berupa pertanyaan esai, kemudian data dianalisis untuk mendeskripsikan pemahaman konsep geometri garis lurus pada bimbingan Kumon Ayani Megamall Pontianak, dilihat dari setiap indikator pemahaman konsep siswa. Penelitian ini menguji lima indikator pemahaman konsep siswa, yaito: mengulang kembali konsep yang telah dipelajari, menyajikan konsep dalam berbagai representasi matematika, mengembangkan syarat-syarat yang diperlukan atau cukup untuk suatu konsep, menerapkan konsep atau algoritma untuk pemecahan masalah, menggunakan dan memanfaatkan serta memilih prosedur atau operasi tertentu. Hasil penelitian di Kumon Ayani Megamall Pontianak menunjukkan bahwa 2 siswa mengulang kembali konsep yang telah dipelajari, 2 siswa menyajikan konsep dalam berbagai representasi matematika, tidak ada dari siswa yang mengembangkan syarat-syarat yang diperlukan dan cukup untuk konsep tersebut, hanya 1 siswa yang menerapkan konsep atau algoritma dalam pemecahan masalah, dan hanya satu siswa yang menggunakan, memanfaatkan, serta memilih prosedur atau operasi tertentu.

Abstract

This research aims to describe a study of the profile of Pancasila students who reason critically through differentiated learning on circle material in class VIII of SMP Negeri 9 Simpang Hilir. The method used is qualitative research in descriptive form, involving class VIII A students. Data was collected through observation, questionnaires and tests. The results of the research show that the results of the learning style test of class VIII A students before differentiated learning show a diversity of students' learning style preferences: 10 people are kinesthetic, 3 people are auditory, and 7 people have a combination of two learning styles, namely 1 visual kinesthetic, 3 visual kinesthetic, 2 visual auditory, and 1 auditory visual. Preliminary test results show that the average critical reasoning ability score of class VIII A students is 57.6, which is in the "low" category. Of the 26 students, 6 had scores in the "medium" category, and 10 others were in the "low" category. There is a relationship between learning styles and critical reasoning abilities in assessing students' initial knowledge. The average score of students' LKPD at the second meeting was lower because the questions emphasized applications with high critical reasoning indicators. Differentiated learning has been proven to be effective in improving critical reasoning abilities, both in the medium and low groups. From the self-assessment questionnaire, 7 students were in the "Very Good" category and 13 students were "Good", in differentiated mathematics learning in circle material. There is a positive relationship between the results of students' critical reasoning self-assessment questionnaires and the results of the final learning assessment. Thus, differentiated learning has proven to be effective in implementing the Pancasila student profile of critical reasoning and improving student learning outcomes in circle material in class VIII.

Abstract

The goal of this study was to find out how well SMP Negeri 2 Sungai Ambawang students solved two-variable linear equation systems using creative thinking. Case studies are used as the descriptive research method. The research subjects were 6 students with details of 2 having high mathematical abilities, 2 having moderate mathematical abilities, and 2 having low mathematical abilities taken from the average daily test score. Data collection techniques used are tests and interviews. In this study, there were 2 students who met the indicators of fluency, flexibility and novelty, 2 students met the indicators of fluency and flexibility, 2 students met the indicators of fluency. In general, it can be concluded that the students' creative thinking ability in solving the problems of a two-variable system of linear equations in students of SMP Negeri 2 Sungai Ambawang is a student with high mathematical ability, creative thinking ability meets the indicators of fluency, flexibility, and novelty. students who have moderate mathematical ability seem to have not met the novelty indicator. students with low math ability seem to still not be able to meet the flexibility and novelty indicators.Keyword: Creative Thinking Ability, Two-Variable System Of Linear Equations

Abstract

This study aims to determine whether there is a relationship between self-confidence and student mathematics learning outcomes. This kind of study can be called a quantitative descriptive conducted at SMPN 9 Pontianak. The population in this study was class VIII students, the research sample, namely class VIII D students, was 30 students. The data collected are the results of learning tests in the form of mathematical description problems and self-confidence questionnaires. Based on processed data assisted by Microsoft Excel and SPSS 16 by applying tests for correlation of product moments the results of the analysis data are descriptive. Based on the research findings, it can be said that learning outcomes in mathematics and student confidence are interrelated with a correlation of 0.877. That way it can be concluded that the level of self-confidence that students have correlates with the results of learning mathematics. Abstract

This study aims to help understand how the use of aperture works with mathematical concepts so that the use of this method is applied to photography activities and as a medium for learning mathematics in schools. The method used in this study is descriptive with the form of action research, because this study describes the mathematical concepts contained in the use of aperture in photography. From the interview, researchers collected information on mathematical concepts contained in the sequence located behind the F-stop number and explored the relationship between the F-stop number and the diameter of the circular aperture opening area in the lens, there are several mathematical concepts such as fractional numbers, geometric series, scales, comparisons, magnitudes & units, space builds, to the area of a circle. In this case, it proves that in the use of Aperture in photography, there are mathematical concepts related to school mathematics learning

Abstract

Tujuan pengabdian ini adalah memanfaatkan teknologi sebagai penunjang KTI mahasiswa dan dosen pendidikan matematika di STKIP Melawi wilayah nanga pinoh. Karya tulis ilmiah yang ditunjang dengan pemanfaatan teknologi adalah laporan berupa yang dipublikasikan ataupun dipaparkan dari hasil pengkajian ataupun penelitian yang telah dilakukan, yang dalam penulisannya memperhatikan kaidah atau etika keilmuan yang berlaku dimasyarakat ke ilmuan yang berbasis pemanfaatan teknologi. Bentuk PKM ini adalah Workshop atau pelatihan tentang pemanfaatan teknologi untuk menunjang KTI Mahasiswa dan Dosen di STKIP Melawi Wilayah Nanga Pinoh. Targetnya akan diikuti oleh mahasiswa dan dosen pendidikan matematika STKIP Melawi. Metode pemanfaatan tekologi untuk menunjang KTI ini meliputi: 1) menyesuaikan dengan aturan penulisan yang berlaku, 2) ada bagian pembuka, pendahuluan, pembahasan, metodologi penelitian, hasil penelitian, penutup, dan bagian penunjang. Subjek penelitiannya adalah mahasiswa dan dosen program studi pendidikan matematika STKIP Melawi. Kegiatannya berupa workshop/pelatihan. Produknya berupa Karya Tulis Ilmiah ditunjang dari pemanfaatan teknologi. Rencana Kegiatan PKM ini adalah: 1) persiapan yakni penetapan tempat dan memperoleh ijin pelaksanaan, dan KTI yang ditunjang dari teknologi; 2) pelaksanaan yakni melaksanakan workshop, analisis hasil tes, dan pendampingan penyusunan KTI memanfaatkan teknologi, pelaksanaan workshop di kelas; 3) akhir yakni penyusunan KTI memanfaatkan teknologi. Luarannya adalah KTI. Hasil PKM ini adalah terlaksananya kegiatan Workshop KTI memanfaatkan Teknologi sesuai dengan langkah-langkah yang telah ditetapkan dan terjalinnya kuliah kunjungan dengan STKIP Melawi.

Abstract

Artikel ini membahas perlunya strategi STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) dalam pendidikan, khususnya pembelajaran matematika. Seiring perkembangan zaman, teknologi informasi yang pesat dan tuntutan pembelajaran dalam Kurikulum Merdeka, strategi STEM memunculkan beberapa permasalahan dalam penerapannya. Siswa dan guru menunjukkan penurunan minat terhadap ilmu pengetahuan, terutama fisika, kimia, dan matematika. Dampaknya terasa pada pembelajaran matematika terkait sumber belajar guru yang digunakan di dalam kelas. Adanya kegiatan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat (PKM) menjadi solusi untuk memfasilitasi guru dalam menghadapi tantangan ini. Kegiatan berfokus pada pelatihan guru matematika di sekolah menengah untuk mengembangkan pembelajaran matematika dengan strategi STEM dalam merdeka belajar. Mitra yang terlibat adalah guru dalam MGMP Matematika di Mempawah Hilir. Instrumen yang digunakan berupa lembar observasi langsung yang digunakan untuk melihat kinerja guru dalam melakukan diskusi dengan kelompoknya dan wawancara, serta dokumentasi untuk menggali lebih dalam respons mereka terkait kegiatan PKM. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan adanya upaya guru meningkatkan partisipasi siswa dalam sains dan matematika. Inisiatif termasuk pengembangan keterampilan STEM, kolaborasi dengan industri, dan pendirian taman teknologi. Dari sini, tujuan utama adalah meningkatkan pemahaman guru dan siswa pentingnya STEM dalam kehidupan nyata. Kesimpulan menyoroti pentingnya reformasi kurikulum dan pembelajaran lebih menarik bagi guru dan siswa terhadap matematika. Disadari bahwa masih banyak perlu diperbaiki dalam hal pengetahuan, minat, dan sikap terhadap strategi STEM. Saran disampaikan tentang perlunya standar jelas dan investasi dalam penelitian dan pendidikan untuk mencapai tujuan dari strategi pembelajaran STEM yang baik.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the differences in critical thinking skills between male and female students in solving Three Variable Linear Equation System (SPLTV) problems in class X at SMA Negeri 3 Ngabang. The research method used is descriptive quantitative with a comparative approach. Data were collected from SPLTV test scores of 12 students, consisting of 6 male students and 6 female students. The results of the study showed significant variations between students based on gender. Female students demonstrated excellent performance across various critical thinking skill indicators, including conceptual understanding, analysis and interpretation, evaluation and reasoning, creativity and expertise, communication and collaboration, as well as perseverance and persistence. Male students also showed excellent performance, but there was greater variation in their abilities. Although the average scores of male students were slightly higher, their score distribution was more diverse, with some students performing exceptionally well and others performing lower. Factors influencing these differences include conceptual understanding, analysis and interpretation, evaluation and reasoning, creativity and expertise, communication and collaboration, as well as perseverance and persistence. This study indicates that female students generally have more consistent performance across critical thinking skill indicators compared to male students.

Abstract

This research aims to measure and describe the extent of the difference in reading literacy ability and learning interest of students before and after mathematics instruction using Nadia Cassinie's short stories on presentation of data. Furthermore, it seeks to describe reading literacy ability in terms of learning interest in mathematics instruction using Nadia Cassinie's short stories on presentation of data. This study employs a mixed-methods approach with an explanatory sequential mixed-methods design. The research sample consisted of 30 students from Class VII D at SMP Negeri 10 Pontianak. The research instruments include tests and questionnaires. Quantitative data were analyzed using the Wilcoxon test, followed by qualitative data analysis with descriptive methods. The results show an increase in the average reading literacy ability by 79.13% and a 6.31% improvement in learning interest. Students with a high learning interest face fewer obstacles compared to those with moderate interest when it comes to high-level reading literacy ability. However, in the case of moderate reading literacy ability, students with moderate learning interest demonstrate slightly superior reading literacy ability compared to those with high learning interest. Peserta didik yang memiliki minat belajar kategori tinggi menghadapi lebih sedikit kendala dibandingkan dengan peserta didik yang memiliki minat belajar kategori sedang untuk kemampuan literasi membaca kategori tinggi. Namun, pada kemampuan literasi membaca kategori sedang, peserta didik dengan minat belajar kategori sedang justru menunjukkan kemampuan literasi membaca yang sedikit lebih unggul dibandingkan peserta didik yang memiliki minat belajar tinggi.
