Abstract

AbstractThe instrument for problem solving given to students was only a problem solving that demands routine procedures and the instrument was not in accordance with the problem solving indicators and the level of Bloom?s taxonomy. This study aimed to explain the teacher's perceptions regarding the instruments to solve the problem in triangular material at Junior High School. The study was used the development design which the instrument type as development research. The samplesof this study were 10 mathematics teachers. According to the validity test of Product Moment correlation obtained 75.7% and 81.1%. The accuracy of the teacher instruments perception through the instruments ability problem solvingdeliver to Bloom's taxonomy, triangular material at Junior High School had high validity. The results of the questionnaire used the average calculation obtained of 82% and 70,6% which mean that mathematics teachers strongly agree that the instrument of problem solving developed by researcher properly with Bloom's cognitive taxonomy level and mathematics teachers have never provided problem solving instruments like the researcher were develop for the students. Keywords: Problem Solving, Teacher Perception

Abstract

AbstractLearning is a process of interaction between students, students with educators, and learning resources. Besides, learning is also the process of developing potential and character building of each students as a result of the synergy between educators that take place in school, family and society. The development model which used was prototype model, according to Plom and Nieveen with several modifications. This research was conducted in class IX A of SMP N 01 Kubu with the number of students is 38 students, that chosen based on purposive sampling. This instruments which used in this research includeaspects of validity, practicality, and effectiveness.in the case, the development product are said to be valid if they complete the criteria of the experts. The development product are said to be practical if they meet the practicality criteria and can be applied in the field. The development products are said to be affective if they carried out in full learning and accomplishment of competence by students individually. Several stages which used in this research are brainstorming, gathering information and data, sharing information and discussion to find solution in solving any problems, and reflection stage RPP problem based learning and its supporting devices are declared valid, practical and also effective to be applied. Abstract

Abstrak: Permasalahan pendidikan yakni kualitas dan kuantitas secara matematis ternyata berbentuk persamaan diferensial nonlinear sehingga tidak mudah dipahami dalam rangka penanganannya. Salah satu metode untuk memahami permasalahan tersebut adalah dengan menghampiri persamaan kualitas dan kuantitas menggunakan persamaan linear dengan cara analisis perubahan koefisien serta syarat awal. Model kualitas dan kuantitas pendidikan menggambarkan interaksi keduanya yang tumbuh pada suatu kebijakan. Metode tersebut digunakan untuk menganalisis sistem persamaan melalui ramalan tentang perilaku umum kebijakan atas dua variabel pendidikan itu. Solusi sistem persamaan merupakan fungsi waktu yang menggambarkan pembangunan bidang pendidikan. Solusi yang diperoleh adalah non ekplisit, untuk selanjutnya dianalisis sehingga diperoleh selesaian tetap dalam kesetimbangan kondisional dalam berbagai bentuknya. Kemudian dari sistem yang dilinearkan didapatkan kesimpulan menggunakan teorema-teorema yang berlaku pada sistem linear. Kata-kata kunci: persamaan diferensial nonlinear, perubahan koefisien, perubahan syarat awal, kesetimbangan kondisional, titik-titik kritis, tahap portret, teorema.

Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menjelaskan tentang penerapan pendekatan saintifik dalam pembelajaran matematika dan pengaruhnya terhadap kemampuan komunikasi matematis dan berpikir kreatif siswa di Kelas X D Madrasah Aliyah Negeri (MAN) 1 Pontianak. Rancangan penelitian yang digunakan adalah One-Group Pretest-Posttest Design dengan 3 kali perlakuan 1 kali pretest dan 3 kali post-test. Setiap perlakuan dalam pembelajaran diberikan postes untuk mengetahui ada tidaknya kemampuan komunikasi matematis dan berpikir kreatif siswa. Setiap aktivitas guru dan siswa dalam pembelajaran diamati oleh observer. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pelaksanaan pembelajaran dengan menggunakan pendekatan saintifik terdiri dari lima tahapan yaitu mengamati, menanya, mencoba/mengumpulkan informasi, mengasosiasi, dan mengomunikasikan. Kegiatan pembelajaran sudah mencapai lebih dari 75% dari rancangan yang telah disusun selama 3 kali pertemuan. Setelah dilakukan pembelajaran matematika dengan pendekatan saintifik dan pengaruhnya terhadap kemampuan komunikasi matematis dan berpikir kreatif mengalami peningkatan yaitu rerata sebesar 82,45% dan 84,48%. Serta terdapat hubungan antara kemampuan komunikasi matematis dan berpikir kreatif siswa setelah diberikan pembelajaran dengan pendekatan saintifik.   Kata Kunci: Pendekatan saintifik, komunikasi matematis, berpikir kreatif. Abstract: The study aims to explain regarding to the application of scientific approach in the Math teaching learning process and the influencing toward the ability of the mathematic communication and the student creative-thinking at the 10th grade MAN I Pontianak. The design of study used is One-Group Pretest-Posttest Design. Each treatment in the study was given a pretest to determine an increase in mathematic communication skills and creative thinking mathematic students. The teacher-students teaching learning process will be observed by the observer. The results of this research show that the application of scientific approach in math teaching and learning process comprises of five steps, namely observing, questioning, data collection, associating, and communication. Teaching and learning process has achieved more than 75% than the lesson-plan in three meetings. After the implementation of scientific approach in math teaching and learning process and the influence toward the mathematic communication ability and the students creative-thinking, show that there is an increasing of those variables has risen an average of 82,45% and 84,48%. Also, there is a correlation between the ability of mathematic communication and students creative-thinking after learning given the scientific approach. Abstract

Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui bagaimana kemampuan problem posing ditinjau dari tingkat kesulitan soal dalam masalah cerita yang memuat pecahan. Penelitian ini menggunakan deskriptif kualitatif, tempat penelitian di SD Negeri 15 Nanga Pinoh dengan sampel penelitian sebanyak 14 orang siswa, dari penelitian yang telah dilakukan hasil penelitian menunjukkan kelompok 1 tingkat persentase penguasaan soal yaitu 68%, kelompok 2 tingkat persentase penguasaan soal yaitu 76%, kelompok 3 tingkat persentase penguasaan soal yaitu 40%, kelompok 4 tingkat persentase penguasaan soal yaitu 52%.

Abstract

 The study aimed to determine the effect of problem-based learning models on students' mathematical reasoning abilities. The study used an experimental method with a quasi-experimental design and a posttest-only control design. The population was all classes in VIII grade at MTs Negeri 3 Mempawah in the 2019/2020 school year. The samples were students of VIII C and VIII A grades and were drawn using simple random sampling. Data collection techniques and tools were measurements that used a essay test contained indicators of mathematical reasoning abilities. After being tested in the two samples, data analysis was then carried out to test the hypothesis. Before testing the hypothesis, first, a prerequisite test was carried out, namely the normality test. Because the data are normally distributed, to test  the hypothesis we used the t-test. It was obtained that tcount = 11.15 and ttable = 1.99 with α = 0.05. Because of the value of tcount> ttable, it can be concluded that the problem-based learning model affects students' mathematical reasoning abilities. Keywords: Problem based Learning, Mathematic, Reasoning Ability

Abstract

 The study investigates the increase in students mathematical problem-solving abilities after being treated with the Jigsaw cooperative model on the Pythagorean theorem. The method used in this research was an experimental method with pre-experimental designs and the research design was One Group Pretest Postest Design. The population was all students of VIII grade SMPN 1 Toba who were spread into four classes. Then the sample were students of VIII B class who were taken using the cluster random sampling technique. Data collection techniques used measurement techniques and data collection tools used problem-solving ability tests in descriptions. After the data was tested on the sample, then the data analysis was then carried out to test the hypothesis. But first, doing the prerequisite test was the data normality test. The normality test of this data used Chi-Square (χ 2). Obtained data normality test results χ 2count = 2.75 and χ2 table = 7.81. Because χ2count <χ2table, then the data was normally distributed. The next test was to do a one-group t-test with a significance level (𝛼) = 0.05. The results obtained tcount = 2, 541 and t table = 1.961. Because tcount> ttable, it can be concluded that there was an increase in students mathematical abilities after being given a Jigsaw cooperative learning model. Keywords: Cooperative Learning Model, Jigsaw, Problem Solving

Abstract

Automatic image captioning task in different language is a challenging task which has not been well investigated yet due to the lack of dataset and effective models. It also requires good understanding of scene and contextual embedding for robust semantic interpretation of images for natural language image descriptor. To generate image descriptor in Bangla, we created a new Bangla dataset of images paired with target language label, named as Bangla Natural Language Image to Text (BNLIT) dataset. To deal with the image understanding, we propose a hybrid encoder-decoder model based on encoder-decoder architecture and the model is evaluated on our newly created dataset. This proposed approach achieves significance performance improvement on task of semantic retrieval of images. Our hybrid model uses the Convolutional Neural Network as an encoder whereas the Bidirectional Long Short Term Memory is used for the sentence representation that decreases the computational complexities without trading off the exactness of the descriptor. The model yielded benchmark accuracy in recovering Bangla natural language and we also conducted a thorough numerical analysis of the model performance on the BNLIT dataset.

Abstract

This research is based on the results of the evaluation of the last ten years related to the development of studies in the Mathematics Education Master Program, Tanjungpura University, through a partnership model to develop and implement national and international comparative studies on mathematics teacher education. The aims are to describe the methodology used in the national level study of teacher education through the Teacher Professional Education Program or Pendidikan Profesi Guru (PPG)- Teacher Education and Development of Studies in Mathematics and share key findings related to mathematics preparation for future teachers. The research applied a quantitative approach with cross-sectional survey method with students of the master program of mathematics education class of 2019/2022 and 2020/2021. The results of the study show that future teacher performance: (1) has less opportunity to learn than high achievers in geometry, functions, calculus, and groups with mastery of linear algebra, number theory, analytic geometry, introduction to probability, and statistics and (2) has less opportunity for those who study school mathematics in data representation, calculus compared to linear algebra, analytic geometry, introduction to calculus, calculus, probability, and statistics. Thus, it can be concluded that attention and emphasis are needed on the type and depth of learning materials given to future teachers who continue their studies at the master's level. This pattern represents an extension to better future secondary school teachers.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the relationship between students' self-concept and creative thinking in solving program problems in a linear manner. The research method used is descriptive quantitative. This study involved 29 class XI students of SMAN Muhammadiyah 1 Pontianak using data collection techniques in the form of tests and questionnaires. The test questions consist of 4 sub-problems and 16 stands in the self-concept questionnaire. The data analysis technique uses the product moment correlation test. The results of rcount = -0.095 and rtable = 0.367 means that there is no significant relationship between self-concept and creative thinking. The higher the student's self-concept, the lower the creative thinking and conversely the lower the self-concept, the higher the ability to think creatively.
