Abstract

Motorcycle is popular transport moda in Indonesia. In 2008, population of motorcycle was about 37 million in there was approximately 47 million motor vehicle. It makes high composition of motorcycle in traffic flow. It is shown more than 75%. Based on this case, analysis of motorcycle growth effect is needed to solve traffic problems included transport policy. The aim this research is analysis of transport policy in term of motorcycle uses by private transportation in commuter pattern. Government has no policy to control motor cycle growth. Transport department has many problems to control urban traffic. In the other hand, urban transports improve mass public transport. It is make dilemma, how to control fast, comfort and accessible transport like motor cycle, or cheap and safe transport used to bus. It needs policy to make proportional transportation uses. Methodology analysis to be considered motor cycle policy is descriptive analysis of motor cycle population. Collecting any policy about motor cycle is important thing to found miss control case in traffic management system. Goal of this research is representation of motorcycle choice case can see incentive and disincentive approach to control motor cycle growth. The conclusion of this research is make public policy for motor cycle to manage urban traffic in Indonesia Cities. Intentionally, motorcycle composition in traffic flow can decrease or increase depends on user behaviour and moda attribute changes with public service policy. Populasi sepeda motor di Indonesia pada tahun 2008 tercatat 37 juta lebih diantara 47 juta kendaraan bermotor yanga ada. Hal ini menngakibatkan kondisi komposisi lalulitas sepeda motor yang dominant di jalan raya. yang menunjukkan nilai lebih dari 75%. Berdasarkan kondisi di atas, .perlu adanya analisis dampak yang diakibatkan adanya pertumbuhan sepeda motor serta pemecahan masalah meliputi juga kebijakan transportasi. Tujuan dari studi ini adalah Analsis Kebijakan Transportasi dalam penggunaan sepeda motor sebagai kendaraan pribadi dalam pola perjalanan bolak-balik (commuter). Pemerintah tidak memiliki kebijakan pengendalian pertumbuhan sepeda motor. Metodologi analsis yang digunakan sebagai pertimbangan pembuatan kebijakan transportasi menyangkut sepeda motor adalah analsis deskriptif analitis menyangkut karakteristik moda, pengguna dan utilitasnya, termasuk di dalamnya adalah karakteristik jaringan jalan perkotaan. Hasil dari studi ini menunjukkan bahwa pemilihan penggunaan sepeda motor dapat diberlakukan pola insentive dan disinsentive sebagai pendekatan kebijakan dalan pengendalian pertumbuhan sepeda motor. Kesimpulan dari studi ini adalah pembuatan kebijakan dalam pengendalian sepeda motor adalah hal penting sehingga lalulintas diperkotaan dapat dikelola secara baik di kota-kota di Indonesia. Menjadi perhatian khusus bagi kita bahwa komposisi lalulintas sepeda motor di jalan raya dapat ditingkatkan atau dikurangi tergantung dari perilaku pengguna, perubahan karakteristik moda sepeda motor dan pembuatan kebijakan pelayanan umum. Abstract

ABSTRACK The structure of the city including the variables that affect the city's transportation system. In this case, the structure of the city associated with transport and fuel consumption, which consists of vast areas of administration and woke up, population, population density (net and gross), and GDP (constant and valid). The purpose of this study was to analyze the variable structure of the city, urban transportation systems, and fuel consumption as well as analyzing the relationship between urban transport systems on fuel consumption metropolitan cities, major cities, and towns are in Java. Biplot analysis is descriptive statistical technique multiple dimensions (multivariate) that can be presented visually to present simultaneous observations of n objects and p variables in the space plane (dimension 2), so that the characteristics of variables and object of observation and the relative position between object observations with variables can be analyzed. Biplot analysis results showed that each metropolitan and large cities have different characteristics of urban structure, while the city was relatively similar characteristics. The existence of a positive linear relationship and a very strong connection between population and consumption of premium, that is, the consumption of premium will increase if the population is also increasing. Keywords : City structure, fuel consumption, biplot analysis ABSTRAK Struktur kota termasuk dalam variabel yang mempengaruhi sistem transportasi kota. Dalam hal ini, Struktur kota yang terkait dengan transportasi dan konsumsi bahan bakar, yang terdiri dari luas administrasi daerah dan terbangun, penduduk, kepadatan penduduk (netto dan brutto), dan PDRB (konstan dan berlaku). Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis variabel Struktur kota, sistem transportasi perkotaan, dan konsumsi bahan bakar serta menganalisis hubungan antara sistem transportasi perkotaan terhadap konsumsi bahan bakar kota metropolitan, kota besar, dan kota sedang di Jawa. Analisis Biplot adalah teknik statistika deskriptif dimensi ganda (multivariate) yang dapat disajikan secara visual guna menyajikan secara simultan n obyek pengamatan dan p variabel dalam ruang bidang datar (dimensi 2), sehingga ciri-ciri variabel dan obyek pengamatan serta posisi relatif antar obyek pengamatan dengan variabel dapat dianalisis. Hasil analisa biplot menunjukkan bahwa setiap kota metropolitan dan kota besar memiliki karakteristik Struktur perkotaan yang berbeda, sedangkan kota sedang memiliki karakteristik yang relatif sama. Adanya hubungan linear positif dan sangat kuat antara penduduk dan konsumsi premium, artinya, konsumsi premium akan meningkat jika populasi juga meningkat. Abstract

Traffic accident is the problem that need serious attention because the risk that can be caused. Therefore it need study to do analysis for the traffic accident data.This final project take place in Ungaran-Bawen road in Semarang city. That road are artery road with very crowded traffic.That road are connecting Semarang as one of big city in Central Java with the city around , example : Solo, Magelang, and Yogyakarta. The purpose of this study are to identify location and the cause of traffic accident in order to give the solution to reduce the accident that will happen. Data analysis which we do to know relation usher variable having an effect on to accident amount use aid of computer program of SPSS, while for determination of location of accident gristle (blackspot), using statistical technique control traffic. Traffic accident caused by some factor, that is human (driver), environmental, vehicle and roads. From result analyse data, human (driver) represent primary factor of cause the happening of accident (66,89%). Careless driver is most driver behavior often cause the happening of accident (72,45%). Type of accident and most collision often be happened is front - front collision (50,85%), with motorcycle (53,78%) as most type vehicle often be involved by a accident. The most common time of the accident was at 12.00 – 18.00 (31,74%) and the most common driver job of the accident is employee (61,86%).

Abstract

Semarang - Kendal Road section is a connector between the central city of Semarang and Kendal. Traffic flows and accident rates through this street is quite high, especially accidents involving motorcycles. For that, the solution is the implementation of motorcycle lanes. From the analysis results DS in Siliwangi Road Sections is 0,75 and 0,78 in Walisongo Roads with low average speed is 27,58 km /h in Jalan Siliwangi. Analysis results obtained Siliwangi Road motorcycle accident is 70 % and 66 % on Walisongo Road. The proportion of motorcycle on Siliwangi road is 25.25 % - 41.66 % and 18.86 % - 41.43 % on Walisongo Road. Volume motorcycle in Siliwangi Road 1,687 pcu/hour and Walisongo Road 1,231 pcu/hour. Siliwangi Road DS is 0.75 and 0.78 on Walisongo Road. From solutions then selected by the best alternative with DS. Siliwangi road is divided into 4 segments, Segment I is to make the motorcycle lane with a width of 4 m and the other vehicle lane with a width of 8 m. Segment II is to make the motorcycle lane with a width of 4,25 m and the other vehicle lane with a width of 9,75 m. Segment III, this does not allow the roads to be made motorcycle lane because the road has a length of less than 100 m. Segment IV is to make the motorcycle lane with a width of 4 m and the other vehicle lane with a width of 7 m. In the Walisongo roads solution is to makes the motorcycle lane with a width of 4 m, and the other vehicle lane with a width of 7 m. Based on those motorcycle lanes parameters, can be concluded that the Semarang - Kendal Road section required motorcycle lanes with lane separators are markers.

Abstract

Kabupaten Sukamara is a currently growing Kabupaten, especially Kecamatan Balai Riam and Kecamatan Permata Kecubung, but the location is difficult to reach and can be said isolated. One of the aspect that can improve and develop Kabupaten Sukamara is transportation, because the transportation facilities and infrastructure that exist currently is very low in Kabupaten Sukamara, in this case, especially the road which connects the villages because the lack of road development as a rural access. The methodology used for analyze the performance of the road is by calculate the number of trip generation based on the population of study area based on method developed by the Ministry of Public Works for planning transportation of urban road which belong to the small town category. The next step is to analyze the amount of trip that generates Origin Destination Matrice (OD) by using Double Constrain Gravity method (DCGR), assign OD matrice to the road network by using EMME 3.4.1 and calculate the road capacity,then calculate and analyze volume capacity ratio (VCR) based on the assignment result and the road capacity calculation. By determining the 20 year plan, the prediction of trip generation of Kabupaten Sukamara is 235.023 people/day. Based on OD matrice, can be known that the closer the distance trip, the greater the trip that occur and vice versa. From the calculation, the capacity of the collector road is 1.197 smp/hour, local road is 856 smp/hour and small road is 838 smp/hour. From the assignment result, the largest trip volume is 314 smp/hour and the smallest is 1 smp/hour, so the largest VCR value is 0,279 which means VCR < 0,8 for every road that connects the villages. Therefore, the performance condition of the entire road that connects the villages can be concluded stable/safe.

Abstract

By modeling learning students enjoy learning and doing mathematics in new ways. This study aimed firsly to produce senior high school mathematics modeling tasks, lesson plan, and student worksheet for valid mathematical learning; secondly, to produce senior high school mathematics modeling, lesson plan, and student worksheet for practical mathematics learning; lastly, to produce senior high school mathematics modeling tasks, lesson plan, and student worksheet for potentially effective mathematics learning. This study used method of development research that consisting of 3 steps, i.e., analysis, design, and evaluation. In the analysis stage, researcher did student analysis, curriculum, and mathematical modeling. Second stage are to design and product. Finally, researchers applied a design of formative evaluation consists of self-evaluation, one-to-one, experts review, small group, and field test. Based on experts review, one-to-one, small groups, and field test were obtained valid, practical, and potentially effective, i.e. mathematical modeling tasks, lesson plan, student worksheet to teach mathematical modeling in senior high school and Mathematical modeling tasks and student worksheets to learn mathematical modeling in senior high school.

Abstract

Kota Semarang mengalami peningkatan pergerakan lalu lintas setiap tahunnya, khususnya  Kecamatan Semarang Tengah, yang memiliki fungsi sebagai kawasan pusat perbelanjaan, perdagangan dan jasa, perkantoran, dan pendidikan. Pemerintah Kota Semarang telah berupaya mengatasi permasalahan lalu lintas dengan menerapkan sistem satu arah pada ruas Jalan Gajahmada, Jalan Pandanaran, Jalan MH. Thamrin, Jalan Pemuda, Jalan Imam Bonjol Selatan, Jalan Kapten Piere Tendean, dan Jalan Indraprasta. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui gambaran efektivitas atas penerapan sistem satu arah pada ruas jalan tersebut dengan menggunakan metode analisis deskriptif dan kuantitatif hasil keluaran EMME2 versi 9.5. Hasil dari penelitian ini yakni setelah diterapkannya sistem satu arah masih terdapat ruas jalan yang mengalami penurunan kinerja jalan, yaitu ruas jalan Imam Bonjol Selatan belum sesuai dengan persyaratan fungsi jalan karena lebar badan jalannya hanya 10 meter sedangkan dalam persyaratan untuk fungsi jalan arteri sekunder lebar badan paling sedikit 11 meter, ruas Jalan Kapten Piere Tendean dan Pandanaran nilai DS lebih besar 0.75 pada waktu sore hari dan berada pada tingkat pelayanan D pada ruas Jalan Pandanaran sedangkan tingkat pelayanan E berada pada ruas Jalan Kapten Piere Tendean. Selain itu, pada ruas Jalan Imam Bonjol Selatan, Kapten Piere Tendean, dan Pandanaran masih belum sesuai dengan indikator kinerja sistem jaringan jalan untuk meminimalisasi atau mengurangi ketertundaan total dan panjang perjalanan total karena kecepatan perjalanan menurun dan kapasitas jalan belum mampu menampung beban lalu lintas. Solusi penanganan yang dilakukan adalah nilai DS harus lebih kecil 0.75 dan maksimal menunjukkan ditingkat pelayanan C, Jalan Kapten Piere Tendean, dan Jalan Pandanaran, pelebaran jalan 1 meter pada ruas Jalan Imam Bonjol Selatan dan pengaturan off street parking pada ruas Jalan Imam Bonjol Selatan, Kapten Piere Tendean, dan Pandanaran. Kata kunci: EMME2 versi 9.5, kinerja sistem jaringan jalan, permasalahan lalu lintas, sistem satu arah.   Performance Analysis of One - Way Roads in Central Semarang District, Semarang : The city of Semarang is experiencing an increase in the movement of traffic every year, especially in Central Semarang District which has a function as a shopping center, trade and service area, office area, and education area. The Semarang City Government has tried to overcome traffic problems by implementing a one - way system on Gajahmada, Pandanaran, MH. Thamrin, Pemuda, Imam Bonjol Selata n, Piere Tendean, and Indraprasta streets . This study was conducted to determine the effectiveness of the implementation of the one - way system on the road using the analysis method, which wa s descriptive and quantitative output of EMME2 version 9.5. The re sults showed that after the implementation of one - way system, there was still decreased performance in some roads. The road segment in Imam Bonjol Selatan street had not fulfill the requirements for road functions because the width of the road wa s only 10 meters, mean while according to the requirements for secondary arterial road functions it should be at least 11 meters. The DS value of Piere Tendean and Pandanaran Roads was lebih besar 0.75 in the afternoon . Furthermore, the level service of Pandanaran Road was D w hile Captain Piere Tendean Road section was E . In addition, Imam Bonjol Selatan, Captain Piere Tendean and Pandanaran Roads we re not in accordance with the performance indicators for the road network ing system to minimize or reduce total delays and total t rip length because travel speeds were declining and road capacity had not been able to accommodate traffic loads. T o overcome this problem the DS value must be lebih besar 0.75 and the maximum service level should be C in Piere Tendean and Pandanaran Road s , widening 1 meter road on Imam Bonjol Selatan section, and setting off street parking on Imam Bonjol Selatan Road, Captain Piere Tendean, and Pandanaran. Abstract

The existing railway network connecting Jebres Dry Port with Tanjung Emas Port is expected to support the mobility of goods within its area of service known to have a high potential. However, the progress of Jebres Dry Port has not been fully maximized as expected due to various obstacles and issues in its development. Therefore, this research aims to evaluate the service level, influencing factors, and formulate the development strategy of goods transportation in Dry port Jebres. The data was collected through observation and questionnaire method, and for Importance Performance Analysis method for service level was used for the variable of six key drivers in Sislognas (National Logistic System), and SWOT analysis to formulate the development strategy. The analysis of service level of Jebres Dry port indicated that generally the respondent is not satisfied with the goods transportation through Jebres Dry Port. Furthermore, the internal and external factors analysis revealed that IFAS = 1,824 and EFAS = 2,780, where the appropriate strategy for Jebres Dry Port development is harvest or divest (Quadrant VI, Matrix I-E). The strategy that can be developed is by using existing competitive advantage to exploit available market potentials. In the short term, the development strategy is made by improving the service for customers by improving the main priority indicators resulted from the analysis. In the long term in the future, it is still possible to relocate Jebres Dry Port.

Abstract

Pemantauan gunung api merupakan salah satu bidang penerapan Wireless Sensor Network (WSN). WSN digunakan pertama kali untuk pemantauan gunung api di gunung Tungurahua, Ekuador Tengah pada tahun 2004. Selanjutnya diterapkan pada riset di gunung Reventador, Ekuador Utara dengan 16 sensor digunakan untuk menangkap sinyal seismik dan akustik. Pada kedua riset ini, desain jaringan dan algoritma dibangun untuk menangkap raw-data sinyal seismik dan akustik, dan mengirimnya ke base station. Seperti dua riset sebelumnya, proyek OASIS membangun WSN yang robust untuk memperoleh raw-data sebanyak-banyaknya dengan real time, kontinu dan kualitas sinyal yang high-fidelity. Berbeda dengan riset WSN untuk pemantauan gunung api sebelumnya, riset Rui Tan, dkk. dan Guojin Liu, dkk. mengembangkan WSN untuk pemantauan gunung api secara real time, in-situ dan long-lived tanpa transmisi raw-data ke base station. WSN dan algoritma didesain dengan membangun algoritma pemrosesan in-network untuk mendeteksi gempa vulkanik, menentukan onset time dari gelombang yang biasa muncul pada saat terjadi gempa.

Abstract

The development of a city usually is accompanied by traffic congestion and air pollution problems. The appropriate strategy to solve these problems has been debated for long time. The proponents of new urbanism believe that the problem can be improved by forcing more people and more cars into smaller areas . They assume that by forcing densities higher, public transit can be provided better and more efficient, so that people will be more inclined to abandon their automobiles and use public transit, bicycles or walking as an alternative. On the contrary, anti-urban traditions believe that densifying urban areas will only worsen traffic congestion, and in turn will worsen air pollution. So that the best approach to solving the problem would to let urban sprawl, to dispersetraffic and to make it move faster. This paper describes both approaches and the impacts, and discuses which one is the best from Indonesian perspective.Keywords: urban density, urban sprawl, new urbanism, smart growthPerkembangan kota biasanya dibarengi dengan masalah kemacetan lalu-lintas dan polusi udara. Strategi apa yang harus ditempuh untuk mengatasi hal tersebut merupakan perdebatan yang panjang. Para pendukung new urbanism percaya bahwa kemacetan dan polusi bisa ditanggulangi dengan memaksakan lebih banyak orang dan kendaraan dalam kawasan yang sempit. Dengan lebih terkonsentrasi, penyediaan angkutan umum bisa lebih baik dan efisien, sehingga orang akan mengurangi penggunaan kendaraan pribadi  dan cenderung menggunakan angkuatan umum, bersepeda atau berjalan kaki. Sebaliknya budaya suburban dengan gagasan urban sprawl menganggap bahwa kemacetan disebabkan karena terlalu banyaknya kendaraan di wilayah yang sempit, dan pada gilirannya kemacetan memperparah polusi. Oleh karena itu kota harus dibiarkan berkembang menyebar, untuk menyebar lalu-lintas. Tulisan ini membahas kedua pandangan tentang kepadatan kota, dampaknya, serta mengkajinya dalam perperktif geografis dandemografis, yang manakah yang terbaik untuk Indonesia.Kata Kunci: kepadatan kota, pemekaran kota, new urbanism, pertumbuhan cerdas
