Abstract

Hiperkolesterolemia merupakan kelainan metabolisme lemak yang dianggap sebagai faktor yang berkontribusi dalam peningkatan risiko PJK. Biji pepaya diduga memiliki aktivitas hipolipidemik karena mengandung senyawa fitokimia yang berpengaruh pada metabolisme lemak. Penelitian ini menggunakan model eksperimental randomized pretest-posttestcontrol-group design terhadap 30 ekor tikus yang hiperkolesterolemia setelah diinduksi pakan tinggi kolesterol selama 48 hari. Tikus tersebut dibagi ke dalam 3 kelompok yaitu kelompok kontrol negatif (P0), kontrol positif (P1), dan kelompok perlakuan (P2).Aktivitas antihiperkolesterolemik dinilai melalui pengukuran kadar kolesterol total dan SGPT pretest dan posttest. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, ekstrak air biji pepaya dosis 300 mg/kg/hari mampu menurunkan kadar kolesterol total sebesar 13,39% dan kadar SGPT sebesar 31,4% (p<0,05). Uji One Way Anova menunjukkan bahwa kadar kolesterol total dan SGPT posttest antar kelompok berbeda bermakna (p<0,05). Uji LSD menunjukkan bahwa pemberian ekstrak air biji pepaya dapat secara signifikan menurunkan kadar kolesterol total pada tikus yang hiperkolesterolemia jika dibandingkan dengan kelompok placebo. Kadar tersebut tidak berbeda signifikan dengan kelompok yang diberi simvastatin (beda rerata 0,6 mg/dL; p>0,05). Penurunan kadar SGPT diketahui berbeda bermakna jika dibandingkan kelompok placebo. Hasil tersebut dapat membuktikan bahwa pemberian ekstrak air biji pepaya dapat menurunkan kadar kolesterol total dan SGPT pada tikus putih jantan galur wistar yang hiperkolesterolemia.Kata Kunci: hipekolesterolemia, ekstrak biji papaya, kolesterol total, SGPT. [Aqueous Extract of Papaya (Carica Papaya) Seeds Decreased Total Cholesterol and Alanine Aminotransferase (Alt) Levels in Hypercholesterolemic Male Wistar Rats]Hypercolesterolemic is fat metabolism disorder which contributes to increase the risk of CHD. Papaya seeds issuspected having anti-hipercholesterolemic activity, because contains several phytochemical compounds. This study uses a model of experimental randomized pretest-posttestcontrol-group design in 30 rats that had induced hypercholesterolemia with high cholesterol diet for 48 days. Rats were divided into 3 groups: negative control (P0), positive control (P1), and the treatment group (P2). Antihypercholesterolemic activities were assessed through total cholesterol and ALT pretest and posttest levels. Results of this study has shown that aqueous extract of papaya seeds dose 300 mg/kg/day can reduce total cholesterol by 13.39% and ALT by 31.4% (p<0.05). One Way ANOVA test showed that the levels of total cholesterol and SGPT posttest are significantly different between groups (p<0.05). Further test with LSD showed that the aqueous extract of papaya seeds can significantly reduce total cholesterol when compared to P0. These results do not differ significantly from group that given simvastatin (mean difference 0.6 mg/dL; p>0.05). Decreased levels of ALT are also known significantly different when compared to P0.These result proved that aqueous extract of Carica papaya seeds can decreased total cholesterol and ALT levels in hypercholesterolemic male wistar rats.Keywords: hypercholesterolemic, papaya seeds extract, total cholesterol, ALT

Abstract

ABSTRACTThis study was conducted to determine the increase in limb muscle explosive power. The training was conducted with 5 reps of 3 sets over six weeks in the field of Tegallalang 1 Public High School starting at 17.00 WITA until completion. In this study using 2 groups, namely the 1st group given jump training up and down the stands, the 2nd group was given jump training up and down the bench. The sample for each group is 8 people who have met the requirements of the male volleyball extra-curricular participants of Tegallalang 1 Public High School. Data from leg muscle explosive results obtained from 3 jumps taken before and after training. The results obtained before and after the Group-1 training were 57.5 cm to 70.875 cm and Group-2 were 57.375 cm to 65.75 cm. Hypothesis testing uses an independent t-test at a significance limit of 0.05 (p <0.05). Based on the differences in the results of the intergroup test analysis using independent t-test obtained group-1 and group-2 for p = 0.935 which showed no significant difference before being given treatment with a p value greater than 0.05. Whereas after treatment the group-1 and group-2 were obtained at p = 0.007 which showed a significant difference between groups 1 and 2 groups with a p value smaller than 0.05. It can be concluded that jumping up and down the stands is more effective than jump training up and down the bench in increasing the explosive power of the leg muscles. For this reason, it is expected that sports coaches to apply jumping up and down the stands as an alternative in increasing athletes' explosive power.Keywords: Training jumping up and down the stands, training jumping up and down the bench, explosive muscle power.

Abstract

High-intensity exercise exercises in the exercise process use enormous amounts of muscle glycocal energy to strengthen adipose tissue into energy acids, energy requirements balanced with oxygen demand that will improve pulmonary performance and physiology. Weight-adjusting exercises are adjusted to the adaptation and physiology of muscles, increased muscle development and physiological muscles and muscles increases into more so that the energy process increases both muscle glycogen and increased fat oxidation. In this study the sample will be divided into 2 groups, group I will be given High intensity interval training, group II will be given Circuit weight training, both groups aim to reduce the percentage of body fat and increase the vital capacity of the lung. This study measures the pre and post test results so that it will be measured before treatment and after treatment after the exercise program for 6 weeks. Samples will be measured using Bioelectrical Impedance Analisys to measure the percentage of body fat and Spirometry to measure vital pulmonary capacity.The results of the first group hypothesis test showed the value before the fat percentage of 21.75 and after training to be 19.46, then before the vital capacity of the lungs 2.32 and after training to 4.02. While in group 2 the fat percentage value was 21.55 and the training was determined to be 19.79. For the value of vital capacity of lung 2.46 and after training to 3.64, with the probability value in both groups was 0.000 which means (p <0.05) and the measurement was no significant difference from both exercises. In the test of hypothesis III the comparison of results in group I , II, t-test independent sample with the result of the average group I fat difference 2.29 ± 0.46, KVparu 1.75 ± 0.55, Group II fat% 1.70 ± 0.43, KVparu 1.17 ± 0.45 with fat% probability value (p = 0,725) and KVparu (p = 0,073) which means (p> 0,05) and can. There was no significant difference between the three interventions.The conclusion of this research is high intensity interval training as well as ciecuit weight training in decreasing body fat percentage and increasing vital capacity of lung

Abstract

Sekitar 65%-80% manusia akan mengalami NPB pada suatu waktu selama hidupnya (lifetime prevalence), bahkan sebagai penyebab yang serius dan persistem untuk timbulnya nyeri dan disabilitas. Frekuensi paling sering terjadi pada usia pertengahan antara 45-65 tahun. Sekitar 95% HNP terjadi pada region lumbal segmen L4-L5 atau L5-S1, area lumbal ini adalah COG tubuh manusia. Proses degeneratif dan traumatik adalah penyebab utama HNP. Tujuan penelitian untuk membuktikan penambahan nerve stretching lebih baik dibandingkan nerve gliding setelah Mc Kenzie exercise dalam menurunkan gangguan sensorik dan meningkatkan fleksibilitas nervus ischiadicus pada kasus HNP lumbal. Penelitian ini dilakukan di RSU Aisyiyah Ponorogo selama 4 Minggu. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode eksperimental dengan rancangan penelitian Randomized Pre and Post Test Group Design, subjek berjumlah 26 orang yang didapat dari populasi dan dibagi menjadi 2 Kelompok, masing-masing Kelompok 13 orang, Kelompok 1 diberikan perlakuan Nerve Stretching setelah Mc. Kenzie exercise sedangkan Kelompok 2 diberikan perlakuan nerve gliding setelah Mc. Kenzie exercise. Ke dua Kelompok diukur nilai gangguan sensorik berupa skor itensitas nyeri menggunakan NPRS-11 point dan nilai fleksibilitas berupa derajad lingkup SLR menggunakan universal goniometer. Hasil penelitan pada rerata selisih nilai intensitas nyeri Kelompok 1=5,85±0,555 dan Kelompok 2=4,92±0,760 dengan nilai p=0,002 (p=<0,05). Pada rerata selisih nilai lingkup SLR Kelompok 1=45,54±2,106 dan Kelompok 2=39,77±4,045 dengan nilai p=<0,001 (p=<0,05). Dapat disimpulkan bahwa penambahan nerve stretching lebih baik dibandingkan nerve gliding setelah Mc Kenzie exercise dalam menurunkan gangguan sensorik dan meningkatkan fleksibilitas nervus ischiadicus pada HNP lumbal.Kata Kunci : nerve stretching, nerve gliding, Mc kenzie, gangguan sensorik dan fleksibilitas HNP lumbal.

Abstract

Pendahuluan: Penurunan kemampuan fungsional pada pasca Total Knee Replacement (TKR) yakni gangguan pada lutut yang mengalami kekakuan akibat peradangan pasca operasi dan dengan pemberian latihan Progressive Resistance Exercise (PRE) hanya meningkatkan kekuatan otot tungkai namun belum mampu menstimulasi proprioceptive dalam membantu meningkatkan kemampuan fungsional. Tujuan Penelitian: untuk membuktikan penambahan teknik Prorioceptive Neuromuscular Facilitation (PNF) pada latihan standar fisioterapi lebih meningkatkan skor kemampuan fungsional dibandingkan penambahan Progressive Resistance Exercise (PRE) pada latihan standar fisioterapi pada pasien pasca operasi total knee replacement. Metode: Penelitian eksperimental dengan desain pre - post test grup. Jumlah sampel penelitian 20 orang dan terbagi ke dalam dua kelompok. Kelompok 1 mendapat perlakuan Progressive Resistance Exercise (PRE) dan latihan standar fisioterapi, sedangkan Kelompok 2 mendapat perlakuan Prorioceptive Neuromuscular Facilitation (PNF) dan latihan standar fisioterapi, pengukuran kemampuan fungsional dengan WOMAC Test pasca Total Knee Replacement (TKR). Hasil: Paired t-test pada ke dua kelompok dengan nilai signifikansi p = 0,001 (p < 0,05) dan hasil independent t-test pada ke dua kelompok dengan nilai signiikansi p = 0,001 (p<0,05) sehingga hasilnya pada ke dua kelompok terjadi peningkatan secara bermakna. Simpulan: Penambahan teknik PNF pada latihan standar fisioterapi lebih meningkatkan skor kemampuan fungsional dibandingkan dengan penambahan teknik PRE pada latihan standar fisioterapi pada pasien pasca operasi total knee replacement di Denpasar. Abstract

Introduction : Upper trapezius myofascial pain syndrom (MPS) is characterized by presence of trigger points in upper trapezius muscle. MPS can cause disability and also has negative economic effect. Purpose : The reserach’s goal is to improve that combination of ultrasound and dry needling was better than combination of ultrasound and hold relax to decrease neck disability index. Methods : This research used experimental methods to study with pre-test and post-test control group design. Number of samples of the experimental group was 17 subjects given three times treatment of combination of ultrasound and dry needling, while in the control group were 17 subjects given three time treatment of combination of ultrasound and hold relax. NDI was used as out come measure. Shaphiro-wilk test was used to test the normality and levene’s test was used to test the homogenity. wilcoxon signed ranked test was used for hipothesis I, t-test related was used for hipothesis II and t-test independent wa used for hipothesis III. Results : The research showed that: (1) There was significant decrease of NDI in the experimental group . values of mean for pre test were 42,04 + 7,33 % and post test were 10,18 + 3,78 %. with p value = 0.000 (p <0.05) (2) there was significant decrease of NDI in the control group. values of mean for pre test were 45,29 + 6,03 % and post test were 22,24 + 5,42 %, with p value = 0.000 (p <0.05) (3) There were significant differences between experimental group and control group comparing with the differences of post test values between the group. The mean of post test values in experimental group showed 10,18 + 3,78 % meanwhile 22,24 + 5,42% in control group, with p value = 0.000 (p <0.05). Conclution : It was concluded that combination of ultrasound and dry needling and combination of ultrasound and hold relax can decrease the neck disability index. Combination of ultrasound and dry needling was better than combination of ultrasound and hold relax to decrease neck disability index in subject with upper trapezius myofascial pain syndrom.

Abstract

Background: Body fat percentage can be increased with an unbalanced state between energy intake with energy output. Individuals who are overweight and obesity requires an exercise program to reduce the percentage of body fat. Objective: This study aims to prove the high intensity interval training to more effectively reduce the percentage of body fat than continuous submaximal training in class XI student of SMAN 4 Tasikmalaya. Method: This experimental (pre and post-test control group design) involved 40 samples who overweight and obese individuals were divided into 2 groups with randomization. Group I received high intensity interval training and group II received continuous submaximal training. Treatment was given for 8 weeks, the frequency of 3 times/week, duration of 60 minutes/session. Result: The results of a study reported decreased body fat percentage of the average of 40.47±3.27% to after the training 36.3±2.88% in group I and from average 41.93±2.93% to after training 38.93±3.13% in group II. Different test body fat percentage before and after high intensity interval training using paired sample t-test showed p=0.000 (p<0.05). Different test body fat percentage before and after continuous submaximal training using paired sample t-test showed p=0.000 (p<0.05). Statistical analysis of body fat percentage difference after high intensity interval training and continuous submaximal training using independent sample t-test showed p=0.009 (p<0.05). Decreasing body fat percentage of high intensity interval training is 4.17±2% while 3±2.25% in continuous submaximal training. Conclusion: High intensity interval training is more effective than continuous submaximal training in reducing body fat percentage in class XI student of SMAN 4 Tasikmalaya.

Abstract

Waktu tempuh memanjat sangat menentukan kemenangan bagi atlet panjat tebing kategori speed world record, oleh sebab itu peningkatan kondisi fisik seperti power lengan dan tungkai serta kekuatan daya tahan jari-jari tangan dan kaki diperlukan untuk mendukung mempercepat waktu pemanjatan. Tujuan Penelitian adalah untuk mengetahui pelatihan kombinasi power training dan calf raises lebih mempercepat waktu tempuh memanjat daripada power training dan hand grip. Penelitian ini bersifat eksperimental dengan rancangan randomized pre-test and post test group design. Sampel sebanyak 20 atlet perempuan berusia 15-20 tahun, dibagi menjadi 2, Kelompok I (power traning dan hand grip) sebanyak 10 orang dan Kelompok II (power traning dan calf raises) sebanyak 10 orang. Penelitian dilaksanakan selama 6 minggu dan pengukuran dilakukan dengan mengukur waktu tempuh memanjat menggunakan stopwatch. Hasil yang didapat dari uji paired sample t-test pada Kelompok I didapatkan nilai p = 0,000 (p < 0,05), dan pada Kelompok II didapatkan nilai p = 0,000 (p < 0,05). Uji beda nilai rerata dengan independent sample t-test setelah perlakuan didapatkan waktu tempuh memanjat tebing pada Kelompok II (10,6 ± 0,966) lebih cepat daripada kelompok I (12,1 ± 1,449) dengan nilai p = 0,014 (p < 0,05). Dapat disimpulkan bahwa pelatihan kombinasi power training dan calf raises lebih mempercepat waktu tempuh memanjat daripada power training dan hand grip pada atlet pemanjat tebing FPTI Kabupaten Karangasem Bali. Abstract

Background: Football is part of the game that aims to put the ball into the opponent's goal. Reality on the ground observed during this time that many players do not have a good ability to do the shooting to the goal, so it needs to be a training program that aims to improve the accuracy of shooting at goal. Model training provided that training remains the target shooting and target shooting training changed. Objective: The purpose of this research, is to determine the shooting training with fixed targets and training target shooting with a change to the accuracy of shooting at goal. Method: The research is experimental with pre-test and post-test group design in Students of PJKR in PGRI University-Kupang, with a sample of 28 students, divided into two and each group is divided into 14 subjects. Group 1 was given training shooting targets fixed and group 2 was given training shooting target changes that conducted for 8 weeks with with frequency of three times in a week. Results of the research were analyzed using normality test with the Shapiro-Wilk Test and Test of Homogeneity with Leven's Test. Result: Paired t-test to determine the accuracy of shooting in mean difference in group 1 that using fixed target shooting with a mean pre-training =3.5±0.7 and the mean after training =6.7±1.0 with difference =3.2, and the percentage increase =91.42% (p<0.05). While in group 2 that using training target shooting with a mean change before training =3.3± 0.6 and the mean after training =4.6±0.6 to 1.3 and the percentage difference =39.39% increase (p<0.05). The results of the different effects goal shooting accuracy changes were tested by t-independent inter-group before and after training at the limit of significance ?=0.05. The mean change in the accuracy of shooting before training with a value of p>0.05, which means that the initial conditions are the same and after the training has a value of p<0.05. Conclusion: It can be concluded that, fixed target shooting and changed target shooting remain unchanged equally gives the effect of increased shooting accuracy (p<0.05). But the increase in group 1 that using fixed target shooting training is still better than in group 2 that using changed target shooting. Suggestion: It is advisable to use a fixed target shooting training in the process of training, the recruitment of players or athletes, because the effect is more effective.

Abstract

Latar belakang: Taekwondo merupakan bela diri yang banyak menggunakan anggota gerak bawah terutama pergelangan kaki sehingga sering terjadi fungsional ankle instabilitas (FAI). FAI terjadi akibat adanya gangguan dari postural kontrol, keseimbangan dinamis dan fungsi otot. Salah satu latihan yang dapat dipergunakan adalah star excursion balance exercise, namun masih ada kekurangan dalam kontrol postural akibat tidak terjadi aktivasi otot core untuk pembentukan postural stabilisasi. Tujuan: Untuk membuktikan penambahan core stability pada star excursion balance exercise lebih meningkatkan keseimbangan dinamis dan menurunkan fungsional ankle instabilitas daripada star excursion balance exercise pada bela diri taekwondo. Metode: Rancangan penelitian ini adalah randomized pretest-postest control group design, Kelompok 1 mendapatkan star excursion balance exercise dan Kelompok 2 mendapatkan core stability dan star excursion balance exercise. Fungsional ankle instabilitas diukur menggunakan cumberland ankle instability tool (CAIT) dan keseimbangan dinamis menggunakan star excursion balance test (SEBT). Dilakukan 3 kali seminggu selama 6 minggu. Hasil: Peningkatan SEBT sebelum pelatihan pada Kelompok 1 sebesar 86,4±6,3 cm, setelah pelatihan sebesar 92,3±6,7cm dan pada Kelompok 2 sebelum sebesar 86,2±6,1 cm, setelah pelatihan sebesar 96,7±7,9 cm. Penurunan fungsional ankle instabilitas dari peningkatan nilai CAIT sebelum pelatihan pada Kelompok 1 sebesar 20,4±1,8, setelah pelatihan sebesar 23,4±2,1 dan pada Kelompok 2 sebelum sebesar 20,3±2,8, setelah pelatihan sebesar 25,0±1,9. Perbedaan peningkatan keseimbangan dinamis pada Kelompok 1 dan 2 bermakna (p<0,05). Perbedaan penurunan FAI pada Kelompok 1 dan 2 bermakna (p<0,05). Kesimpulan: Penambahan core stability pada star excursion balance exercise lebih meningkatkan keseimbangan dinamis dan menurunkan fungsional ankle instabilitas daripada star excursion balance exercise pada bela diri taekwondo.
