Abstract

Desa Kinjil Pesisir terletak di pesisir pantai yang memiliki 3 tipe habitat yang disukai Anura yaitu pemukiman, perkebunan, dan persawahan. Desa Kinjil Pesisir berdekatan dengan lingkungan sekolah sehingga dapat dimanfaatkan sebagai sumber belajar. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengkaji potensi anura yang ada di Desa Kinjil Pesisir kabupaten Ketapang, provinsi Kalimantan Barat, untuk dimanfaatkan sebagai sumber belajar biologi. Penenelitian dilakukan melalui 2 tahapan yaitu tahap I dilakukan inventarisasi dan identifikasi jenis anura Desa Kinjil Pesisir melalui melalui metode VES (Visual Ecounter Survey), dan tahap II melalui analisis angket potensi anura sebagai sumber belajar yang diisi oleh guru Biologi SMAN 2 Ketapang, SMAN 3 Ketapang, SMAN 4 Ketapang, SMA Muhammadiyah Ketapang, dan SMA Ma’arif Ketapang. Analisis data menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif. Hasil penelitian tahap I menemukan 12 individu anura dari 3 spesies yang ditemukan di 3 tipe habitat berbeda di Desa Kinjil Pesisir. Hasil penelitian tahap II menunjukan bahwa anura di desa Kinjil Pesisir berpotensi sebagai sumber belajar dan sesuai dengan submateri pokok kelas X, yaitu keanekaragaman hayati, klasifikasi mahluk hidup, ekologi,dan ruang lingkup biologi.

Abstract

Learning media based on local potential is very important in improving student learning outcomes. This study aims to analyze the use of local potential-based biology learning media and its effect on learning outcomes. The research method used meta-analysis by reviewing articles related to local potential-based biology learning media published in national and international journals. Data were analyzed qualitatively narrative. The data sample analyzed 21 articles that present data on the effect of local potential-based biology learning media on learning outcomes. The results showed that the local potential of the region (plantae, Animalia, gene diversity, species, and mangroves), plants (tuberous food plants, mosses, reeds, traditional medicinal plants, and coffee plants), fungi, animals (gold snails, fish, coral reef waste) and exisitems (hills and green valleys,). Learning media that utilize local potential are visual and audio visual media. Visual media consists of pictures, posters, modules, booklets, textbooks, hand outs, props (analog), identification cards, and infographics. While audio visual is flash media macro. Local potential-based learning media affects learning outcomes with an effect size value of 1.15 (high). It is concluded that the learning media biology learning media based on local potential has a high effect on student learning outcomes.

Abstract

Singkawang City has biodiversity that inspires motifs in Singkawang batik. In order to introduce batik tulis in the city of Singkawang, an encyclopedia media was developed on biodiversity material. This study aims to develop an encyclopedia of flora and fauna motifs of Singkawang hand-written batik by measuring the level of validity and student response to the encyclopedia. This research uses the R&D method with the 4D development model, which consists of defining, designing, developing, and disseminating. Data collection using interviews, observations, questionnaires, and documentation, analyzed with descriptive techniques. The results showed the average validation score in the very valid category, in the media aspect (98.81%), material aspect (98.25%) and language aspect (84.72%). The media was considered practical with very strong criteria based on student responses with an average of 88.78% in the small-scale trial and 96.57% in the large-scale trial. It is concluded that the encyclopedia media of flora and fauna motifs of Singkawang hand-written batik is very valid and very strong from students. The existence of this encyclopedia media is expected to increase public knowledge, especially the younger generation in Singkawang City about the flora and fauna motifs of Singkawang hand-written batik, so that they are able to maintain and preserve hand-written batik in Singkawang city.Abstrak. Kota Singkawang memiliki keanekaragaman hayati yang menginspirasi motif pada batik tulis Singkawang. Demi memperkenalkan batik tulis yang ada di kota Singkawang maka di kembangkan media ensiklopedia pada materi keanekaramanan hayati. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan ensiklopedia corak motif flora dan fauna batik tulis Singkawang dengan mengukur tingkat kevalidan dan respon siswa terhadap ensiklopedia. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode R&D dengan model pengembangan 4D, yang terdiri dari pendefinisian, perancangan, pengembangan, dan penyebaran. Pengumpulan data menggunakan wawancara, observasi, angket, dan dokumentasi, dianalisis dengan teknik deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan rata-rata nilai validasi pada kategori sangat valid, pada aspek media (98,81%), aspek materi (98,25%) dan aspek bahasa (84,72%). Media tersebut dinilai praktis dengan kriteria sangat kuat berdasarkan respon siswa dengan rata-rata 88,78% pada uji coba skala kecil dan 96,57% pada uji coba skala besar. Disimpulkan bahwa media ensiklopedia corak motif flora dan fauna batik tulis Singkawang sangat valid dan sangat kuat dari siswa. Adanya media ensiklopedia ini diharapkan menambah pengetahuan masyarakat khususnya generasi muda di Kota Singkawang mengenai corak motif flora dan fauna batik tulis Singkawang, sehingga mampu menjaga dan melestarikan batik tulis yang ada di kota Singkawang.

Abstract

Along with the development of health services and the use of modern medicine led to the loss of knowledge of medicinal plants for postnatal herbs. The purpose of this study was to determine the kinds of herbal medicine, plants used by the Ketapang Malay Community in Natai Kuini village, and the ethnobotanical potential of postnatal herbal medicine plants as a learning resource. This research uses an exploratory descriptive method with a qualitative approach where researchers divide the 2 stages of research from plant data collection and postnatal herbs by interview and observation. The interview used snowball sampling technique. Further data collection is in the form of questionnaire results of potential learning resources. The results of the study found 27 spesies of plants and 15 types of postnatal herbs. Potential learning resources aspects of the clarity of potential 95.31%. Aspects of target clarity 97.92%, suitability of objectives 97.92%, feasibility of exploration guidelines 97.92%, clarity of information revealed score 90.63%, clarity of expected results 90.63% and interpretation of ‘very good’ with an average presentation of 95.06%. This research has a scientific impact on education by providing new insights into the ethnobotanical potential of postpartum herbal plants as an effective learning resource, especially in the context of biodiversity and classification of living things for Class X students.Abstrak. Seiring dengan berkembangnya pelayanan kesehatan dan penggunaan obat  modern menyebabkan hilangnya pengetahuan terhadap tumbuhan obat untuk jamu pasca melahirkan. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui macam-macam jamu, tumbuhan  yang digunakan Masyarakat Melayu Ketapang didesa Natai Kuini, dan potensi etnobotani tumbuhan jamu pasca melahirkan sebagai sumber belajar. Penelitian ini mengunakan metode deskriptif eksploratif dengan pendekatan kualitatif dimana peneliti membagi 2 tahap penelitian dari pengambilan data tumbuhan dan jamu pasca melahirkan dengan wawancara dan observasi. Wawancara menggunakan teknik snowball sampling. Pengambilan data selanjutnya berupa hasil angket potensi sumber belajar. Hasil penelitian ditemukan 27 jenis tumbuhan dan 15 jenis jamu pasca melahirkan. Potensi sumber belajar aspek dari kejelasan potensi  95.31%. Aspek kejelasan sasaran 97.92%, kesesuain tujuan 97.92%, kelayakan pedoman eksplorasi 97.92%, kejelasan informasi yang diungkap skor 90.63%, kejelasan hasil yang diharapkan 90.63% dan interpretasi "sangat baik" dengan rata-rata presentasi 82,08%. Penelitian ini memiliki dampak ilmiah pada pendidikan dengan memberikan wawasan baru tentang potensi etnobotani tanaman herbal pascapersalinan sebagai sumber belajar yang efektif, terutama dalam konteks keanekaragaman hayati dan klasifikasi makhluk hidup untuk siswa Kelas X.

Abstract

The local potential of traditional preserved foods of the Malay community of Kayong Utara district can be developed into meaningful learning media. This study aims to analyse the validity and student response to the encyclopedia learning media developed. The research used the Research & Development method with the ADDIE development model. The research stages include Analysis, Design, Development, Implement and Evaluation. The results showed the validity of the developed media in the aspects of language, material, and media with consecutive scores of 88.66% (very feasible), 95.33% (very feasible), and 99.33% (very feasible). Student responses were positive on the results of small-scale and large-scale trials with scores of 87.26% and 88.55% respectively. It is concluded that the encyclopedia of traditional food preserved by the Malay tribe of Kayong Utara Regency is feasible to use and gets a positive response to be used as a biology learning resource.

Abstract

This study aims to compare the Brain-Based Learning (BBL) and Somatic Auditory Visual and Intellectual (SAVI) learning models based on brain gym in an effort to improve student learning outcomes and retention. This study was experimental research with a Quasi-Experimental design. The population of this study totaling 62 people, using the BBL learning model for as many as 22 people and using the SAVI learning model for as many as 22 people. Data analysis used a t-test with SPSS for windows 22.0. The results showed that the average score of the pretest, posttest, and retest of the BBL class was greater than that of the SAVI class. The t-test analysis obtained a significance value of 0.026 <0.05 for learning outcomes and a significance value of 0.32 <0.05 for student retention. So it can be concluded that there is a significant difference between learning outcomes and retention in the BBL and SAVI learning models which affect learning outcomes and student retention in learning.

Abstract

Utilization of plants as food wrappers is a local wisdom that needs to be preserved. The preservation of traditional knowledge can be done through learning media. This research aims to produce valid learning media and obtain a positive response from students. The research uses Research and Development (R&D) with the ADDIE development model consisting of 5 stages: Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. Data collection was obtained from interviews, observations, and questionnaires. Data were analyzed using a Likert scale questionnaire. Based on the validation results, the development of an ethnobatany-based encyclopedia on wrapping plants of the Malay Tribe in Meliau Sub-district obtained a highly valid assessment from subject matter experts (91.67%), media experts (95.83%), and valid from language experts (79.86%). In the small-scale trial, 14 students responded positively by 76.67%, and in the large-scale trial, 42 students responded positively by 89.80%, based on aspects of content, language, implementation, and appearance. It can be concluded that the Ethnobotany-based Encyclopedia on wrapping plants of the Malay Tribe in Meliau sub-district, developed as a learning media, is highly suitable for use in the learning process and has received a positive response. The successfully developed encyclopedia media contains the morphological characteristics of plants, food products wrapped with them, and QR codes displaying the process of food wrapping using wrapping plants. This encyclopedia media can also serve as a means of preserving the local wisdom of the Malay community in Meliau Sub-district in utilizing plants as eco-friendly food wrappers.

Abstract

Students' learning abilities, especially about plants, must be broader and more diverse. The lack of knowledge about the existence of plants in the environment so that they forget the role of the plants themselves for life. This study aims to analyze the percentage of plant blindness in secondary school students. The method used in the research is descriptive qualitative. In this study, data collection used questionnaires and interviews, data analysis was used to identify plant blindness in students in recognizing local vegetables by using statistical methods. The results showed that junior high school students had a higher rate of plant blindness than senior high school students. With a score range of ≥70%, junior high school students received 37.77% and senior high school students received 76.20%. Junior high school students with a score range of ≤70 were 62.23% and senior high school students were 23.8%, there is a considerable difference in value between the two value categories. In the future, students are expected to be more interested in knowing plants, especially local vegetables so that they can prevent plant blindness and can conserve local vegetables, besides that, teachers can make local vegetables a new learning resource for students.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui 1. Jenis tumbuhan apa saja yang terdapat di Taman Akcaya dan Taman Alun-Alun Kapuas kota Pontianak, 2. Bagaimana potensi jenis tumbuhan di Taman Akcaya dan Taman Alun-Alun Kapuas sebagai sumber belajar biologi. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode deskriptif dan metode eksplorasi. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan data kualitatif. Penelitian ini menghasilkan data deskriptif berupa tulisan naratif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Analisis Potensi Tumbuhan di Taman Akcaya dan Taman Alun-Alun Kapuas kota Pontianak Sebagai Sumber Belajar Biologi yaitu sebagai potensi tumbuhan di Taman Akcaya dan Taman Alun-Alun Kapuas sesuai dengan materi pokok Biologi kelas X yaitu materi Keanekaragaman Hayati (keanekaragaman hayati tingkat gen dan jenis) Plantae (Spermatophyta). Sehingga potensi tumbuhan di Taman Akcaya dan Taman Alun-Alun Kapuas berpotensi sebagai sumber belajar Biologi SMA.

Abstract

The learning resources used at SMAN 1 Serasan have not used the local potential found in the Natuna Regency. Therefore, a learning resource is needed to provide a real picture of the biodiversity material students know. Based on a QR Code, this study aimed to measure the feasibility and analyze student responses to the Encyclopedia of Fish Catches of Air Nusa Serasan Village Fishermen of Natuna Regency. This research uses the research and development method with the 4D development model, namely define, design, develop, and disseminate. The dissemination stage was not carried out due to limited time and cost. The results showed that the feasibility of the encyclopedia was very feasible in the language aspect (85.6%), material aspect (89.13%), and media aspect (89.31%). Student responses showed a positive response with a small-scale value of 79,68% and a large-scale value of 87.92%. It is concluded that the QR Code-Based Fishermen’s Catch Encyclopedia Media in Air Nusa Serasan Village, Natuna Regency, is suitable for student biology learning.
