Abstract

This article examines the implications of Ramadan on social cohesion in communities in West Sumatra and Yogyakarta. The issue is based on the assumption that Ramadan is a religious momentum that is only concerned with the vertical affairs between humans and their Lord alone and has a social dimension, i.e., values of solidarity, sense of belonging, tolerance, and social harmony. These are fostered through religious rituals such as fasting, zakat, and other kinds of worship. The study adopted a qualitative approach and was supported by survey data on several selected community samples. Survey data was collected related to the volume of philanthropy, the frequency of ritual worship during the month of Ramadan concerning the level of quality of social cohesion, solidarity, and social trustworthiness. In addition, the data were collected through a questionnaire instrument to capture the fundamental impact of Ramadan on strengthening social capital. In general, this study concludes that West Sumatra is superior to Yogyakarta for its social cohesion on 3 (three) indicators: moral feeling, sense of belonging, and social harmony. However, despite the difference in numbers between the two regions, there are differences among indicators. While for the other two indicators, safety feeling and tolerance, Yogyakarta is better than West Sumatra.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to investigate the influence of the Time Games Tournament (TGT) method on improving students' learning outcomes and their response towards the TGT method. The methodology employed in this study is a quantitative true experimental design, utilizing data collection techniques such as pre-tests and post-tests, as well as a student response questionnaire. Sample selection was conducted using random sampling techniques, with data analysis including Shapiro-Wilk normality tests, hypothesis testing using paired t-tests, and N-Gain analysis. The results of the study indicate that the TGT method significantly enhances students' learning outcomes, as evidenced by the normal distribution of the data. The paired sample t-test yielded a significance value of 0.000 < 0.05, indicating a substantial impact of the TGT method on students' learning outcomes. Additionally, the N-Gain results showed a mean value of 57.6%, suggesting a satisfactory level of effectiveness for instructional purposes. Regarding students' responses to the TGT method, 83% expressed their interest, stating they are "Interested" in using the TGT method for learning purposes. This indicates a positive reception of the method among the student population involved in the study.

Abstract

This article aims to measure how closely or Islamic the Indonesian economy is when analyzed with the theory of maqashid sharia. This goal is based on empirical facts that the Indonesian economy is based on Pancasila, which is in fact compatible with Islamic values. This is the primary fondation of the argument why research is important. To be able to obtain information related to the objectives of this research, this study applies an integrative approach, which is an approach that combines online survey methods and library approaches, or library research. Strengthening understanding and understanding of the data, this study uses the fiqh paradigm, specifically the sharia maqashid theory and the economic development paradigm, which specifically borrows the theory put forward by Abbas Mirakhor and Hossein Askari about the dimensions of Islamic development. The findings of this study are generally formulated into a thesis that Indonesia is now faced with the ambivalence of state religiosity and people's economic behavior: a negative relationship between state economic policy and people's economic behavior. When the state formulates economic policy it is trapped in neo-liberalism, and is far from Islamic principles.

Abstract

The birth and development of hadith are not immune to conflicts of such complexity, leading to the probability that the hadith has been misinterpreted by irresponsible individuals and obscured by power. This is evident in the early days of Islam when hadith was not documented like the Qur'an. Even before the official codification, significant conflicts, such as the intense dispute between Ali and Muawiyah, occurred, giving rise to deviant groups that later fabricated false hadiths to support their factions. Inductive reasoning, as a method of hadith research, serves as a fitting alternative. Even earlier scholars had employed this method, although it was not established as a rigid theory as presented in this writing. Consequently, the inductive method in hadith can aid researchers in identifying elements that may discredit a hadith or, conversely, provide claims regarding the authenticity of a hadith
