Abstract

Abstract

Nurses are frontline healthcare providers who spend much time with patients and can help avoid, mitigate, promote public health, and determine and maintain medicine safety. To ensure patient and medication safety, nurses need knowledge and experience in Pharmacovigilance. This study aims to assess Pharmacovigilance and adverse drug reaction reporting by nurses to implement Patient Safety Goals with Patient Safety Culture as intervening variables at X Hospital in Bekasi. This research is a quantitative causality study with a cross-sectional design to see the effect of pharmacovigilance knowledge on implementing patient safety goals mediated by patient safety culture. The study was conducted on 130 nurses at X Bekasi Hospital who met the inclusion and exclusion criteria. The data collection technique uses a closed questionnaire instrument; the answers to the questionnaire questions have been determined. Data were analyzed using the Smart PLS program's Structural Equation Modeling technique. The study's results found that knowledge of Pharmacovigilance and adverse drug reactions significantly affected the implementation of patient safety goals (F count is greater than F table / 64.5> 2.67; (R²) = 0.667). There is a significant influence of pharmacovigilance knowledge on improving patient safety culture (p-value = 0.000). The estimated value of the influence of pharmacovigilance knowledge on patient safety culture is 60.9%. Knowledge, attitude, and practice of Pharmacovigilance is the dominant variable in influencing patient safety culture and positively influences the implementation of patient safety goals. However, knowledge, attitude, and practice significantly impact patient safety culture, so efforts to implement consistent and continuous Pharmacovigilance can improve patient safety culture, which will continue with implementing patient safety goals.

Abstract

Hospital Information System aims to provide accurate, timely, and relevant information to support management functions and decision-making in health services in hospitals. This study examines the influence of user satisfaction, information quality, and organizational support on the benefits obtained from SIRS, both directly and indirectly. The approach used in this study is quantitative with the explanatory causality method, and the analysis technique in this study uses Structural Equation Modeling (SEM). The respondents of the study were 198 professional care providers (PPA) who were directly involved in the use of SIRS at the Sultan Agung Islamic Hospital, Banjarbaru. The results of this study indicate that the factors of user satisfaction, information quality, and organizational support have a major influence on the benefits both directly and indirectly received from the use of this system, with a determination coefficient of 84.8%. This means that more than 80% of the benefits obtained by the hospital in using the hospital information system are determined by how satisfied the user is with the system used. This indicates a good relationship between the four factors in increasing the benefits of the hospital information system at RSI Sultan Agung Banjarbaru. Therefore, hospitals are advised not to only focus on developing one aspect, but also to maximize the four aspects in order to provide more optimal results.

Abstract

The timeliness of operations in hospitals is essential for service efficiency, but is often constrained by factors such as compliance with the use of doctor applications. This study analyzes the effect of compliance in the use of Doctor Apps, time management, and teamwork on operation timeliness in private hospitals in Tangerang Regency. The aim is to test compliance in using doctor apps, time management, and teamwork on surgery timeliness in hospitals. This study used a quantitative approach with multiple linear regression analysis on questionnaire data from 96 doctors and health workers. Hypothesis testing used the t-test, F-test (ANOVA), and coefficient of determination analysis (R²), at a significance level of 0.05. The results of the regression analysis showed that only X2 (Time Management) had a significant effect on operation timeliness (significance 0.000), while X1 (Compliance Doctor Apps) and X3 (Teamwork) were not significant (significance> 0.05). Regression analysis showed that X2 (Time Management) affected the punctuality of surgery (significance 0.000, X1 (Compliance Doctor Apps) and X3 (Teamwork) were not significant (significance >0.05). This regression model was statistically significant (F=7.480; p=0.000), with a correlation value (R) of 0.443. In conclusion, compliance in the use of doctor applications, time management, and teamwork significantly affected the punctuality of surgery in private hospitals in Tangerang, although their contribution was relatively limited. Optimization of doctor applications, time management, and teamwork is recommended for operational efficiency.
