Abstract

UD. Humfik Tani is one of the seed producers of "Rice and Soybean" which has many assisted seed breeders in Central Lombok. However, until now seed breeders have not been able to provide and procure soybean seeds as needed. The purpose of this community service activity was to provide theoretical and technical assistance to the soybean seed breeder group guided by UD. Humfik Tani in producing certified soybean seeds to increase the availability of certified soybean seeds. The method used in this service activity was the Adult Education (POD) or Androgogy method by emphasizing the active participation of participants, group work and field demonstrations. This mentoring activity was carried out in the form of counseling and field education (demonstration plots) which are conducted in Ubung village, Jonggat district. This activity was attended by 14 participants (UD. Humfik Tani, fostered breeders, UPT BPP, PPL, Tani Tunggal Angen). The results shows that 1) This service activity was going well and the participants were very earnest and enthusiastic about all activities ranging from counseling to visits to the demonstration plot location and were very interested in Biosoy 2 large seed soybeans. 2) UD. Humfik Tani was very interested and will develop Biosoy 2 certified soybean seeds in his breeding land and the breeders at MK II August 2020 to provide seed needs on MH December 2020

Abstract

The deficiency of water sources and soil fertility are obstacles to producing peanuts in dry land. One of effort to increase production on dry land is the utilization of PGPR biofertilizers. This study aimed to determine the growth of plants and root nodules of several peanut genotypes applied with PGPR, to understand the interaction between several peanut genotypes and PGPR on plant growth and root nodules, and to examine the relationship between water deficit conditions and the formation of root nodules. This experiment used a Complete Randomized Design-split split-plot design with the main plots being D0 = optimal conditions (no water deficit) and D1 = water deficit. The subplots were P0 = no PGPR and P1 = with PGPR. The sub-subplots consisted of five peanut genotypes: V1 = Hypoma-I, V2 = Domba, V3 = Talam, V4 = Bison, and V5 = G300-II. The observations showed that the addition of PGPR resulted in higher plant growth compared to those without PGPR and had more effective root nodules in nitrogen fixation compared to treatments without PGPR. The application of PGPR and genotype did not show significant interaction on plant growth and root nodules under water deficit conditions. Water deficit significantly affected all parameters of plant growth and root nodules. PGPR significantly affected the parameters of leaf number rate, nodule number, and nodule weight. Genotype significantly affected the plant height rate. The interaction of water deficit and genotype significantly affected the leaf number rate, while the interaction of water deficit and PGPR, and the interaction of PGPR and genotype did not significantly affect all observation parameters.

Abstract

Keragaman yang tinggi dibutuhkan untuk program pemuliaan sebagai bahan dasar seleksi untuk karakter yang diinginkan. Identifikasi karakter pada tanaman perlu dilakukan untuk mengetahui deskripsi atau karakter pada setiap tanaman. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui penampilan karakter beberapa genotipe mutan padi beras merah Inpago Unram 1. Penelitian ini telah dilakukan pada bulan April sampai dengan bulan November 2022 di Desa Saribaye, Kecamatan Lingsar, Kabupaten Lombok Barat Provinsi Nusa Tenggara Barat, menggunakan Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK) dengan 7 perlakuan yang diuji (5 genotipe mutan (M2) dan 2 kontrol yaitu Inpago Unram 1 dan Situ Patenggang). Hasil penelitian diperoleh bahwa beberapa genotipe yang telah diuji memiliki karakter yang berbeda beda. Genotipe G2 (D3G22-14) unggul pada karakter tinggi tanaman, Inpago Unram 1 unggul pada karakter jumlah anakan produktif, genotipe G1 (D3G3-1) unggul pada karakter panjang malai dan berat gabah berisi per rumpun, Situ Patenggang unggul pada karakter jumlah gabah berisi per malai, genotipe G3 (D3G17-2) unggul pada karakter jumlah gabah hampa per malai, dan genotipe G5 (D3G38-5) unggul pada karakter berat 100 butir dan berat gabah hampa per rumpun. Selain itu diketahui beberapa genotipe memiliki karakter lebih baik dari pembandingnya Inpago Unram 1 dan Situ Patenggang.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui karakter kuantitatif dan nilai heritabilitas beberapa genotipe bawang merah (Allium ascalonicum L.) yang ditanam secara tumpangsari dengan kacang tanah. Percobaan dilakukan pada bulan Agustus hingga akhir Desember 2023 di Lahan Kering Teaching Farm Desa Sigerongan Lingsar Kabupaten Lombok Barat. Rancangan yang digunakan pada percobaan ini adalah Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK) Non-Faktorial yang terdiri dari 5 perlakuan yaitu genotipe bawang merah (Bima Brebes, Bali Karet, Super Philip, Keta Monca, dan Nganjuk). Data hasil pengamatan dari karakter yang diamati, kemudian dianalisis dengan menggunakan analisis ragam pada taraf nyata 5%. Hasil F hitung genotipe yang berbeda nyata kemudian dilanjutkan dengan uji Duncan pada taraf nyata 5%. Hasil percobaan menunjukkan bahwa genotipe bawang merah berpengaruh nyata terhadap beberapa karakter kuantitatif, di mana genotipe Nganjuk memberikan jumlah umbi yang terbaik dan genotipe Bali Karet memberikan diameter umbi yang lebih besar. Dan beberapa karakter kuantitatif memiliki nilai heritabilitas yang berbeda-beda. Heritabilitas tinggi diperoleh pada karakter tinggi tanaman, jumlah umbi, diameter umbi, dan panjang akar. Heritabilitas sedang diperoleh pada karakter tinggi tanaman dan jumlah daun, serta karakter berat segar umbi, berat kering umbi, berat kering total umbi per-plot, berat kering daun, dan berat kering akar memiliki nilai heritabilitas rendah.

Abstract

Produksi kacang tanah di Indoneisa dari tahun ke tahun semakin menurun. Upaya yang dapat dilakukan untuk meningkatkan pertumbuhan dan hasil kacang tanah yaitu dengan penggunaan varietas unggul dan pupuk hayati seperti Plant Growth Promoting Rhizobacteria (PGPR). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas PGPR terhadap pertumbuhan dan hasil kacang tanah (Arachis hypogaea L.). Percobaan dilakukan pada bulan Februari sampai dengan Mei 2024 di Teaching Farm Desa Sigerongan, Kecamatan Lingsar, Kabupaten Lombok Barat. Rancangan yang digunakan pada percobaan ini adalah Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK)-Split plot design terdiri dari petak utama yaitu PGPR terdiri dari PGPR dan tanpa PGPR dan anak petak yaitu benih kacang tanah terdiri dari satu varietas Bison dan dua galur yaitu G300-II dan G19-UI. Setiap perlakuan diulang sebanyak 3 kali sehingga diperoleh 18 unit percobaan. Data dianalisis ragam dan di uji lanjut dengan Duncan pada taraf nyata 5%. Hasil Percobaan menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan PGPR efektif meningkatkan berat kering biomassa bagian atas tanah per tanaman yaitu 50,5 g dan menghasilkan berat kering polong per plot yaitu 4.293,3 g pada varietas Bison.

Abstract

Garbage is a major problem in the development of beach tourism in Kolo Village, Bima City. Garbage causes beaches to become dirty, beaches become less beautiful, brings unpleasant odors, causes disease and environmental pollution. The results of observations of the state of waste in Kolo Village showed that the prominent waste problems are waste heaps, waste sources, waste sorting, waste storage/TPA, waste transportation, waste destruction, and low compliance/awareness of regional regulations regarding waste handling . The 2024 Mataram University PMD KKN program in Kolo sub-district aims to provide understanding to the community about the importance of the Zero Waste concept, digitize the promotion of Zero Waste Tourism and creative economy MSMEs, train community creativity in processing waste into craft products with selling value. Apart from that, the PMD KKN program is also to promote and maintain the cleanliness of tourist and residential environments. The results of the activity show that the Mataram University PMD KKN program in Kolo sub-district has influenced the community's enthusiasm for implementing zero waste and using recycled waste into products of economic value such as shopping bags (Z-Bags), key chains, and compost for agriculture. It is hoped that the Zero Waste concept will spur community creativity and develop a creative economy and waste-free tourism.

Abstract

Some members of “Sumber Hidup” farmer group were poor farmers, farming on narrow land with low productivity. The aim of this activity was to help farmer group through the application of Plant Growth Promoting Rhizobacteria (PGPR) technology to increase peanut production on narrow land. These activities have been carried out to apply science and technology, as direct training/counseling and plot demonstrations (action research) to farmers. The method used in training was adult education with participatory techniques. Training and plot demonstration activities aimed to increase the skills and knowledge of farmers. The demonstration plot that has been carried out was in the form of action research based on the results of previous research. The demonstration plot that carried out was to compare the planting of several peanut lines using PGPR. The results of the activity showed that members of the "Sumber Hidup" farmer group were very responsive to community service activities. Farmers heard and asked the several questions related to planting superior varieties and implementing PGPR. Participants were very active in every activity such as selecting seeds, making plot demonstration, planting, hilling, weeding and harvesting activities. The technological transformation process for the use of superior varieties and the application of PGPR on narrow land has occurred in the "Sumber Hidup" farmer group. The results of the plot demonstration showed that the application of PGPR on the G19-UI groundnut line produce 3,280 g of dry pods/plot or the equivalent of 8 tonnes/hectare

Abstract

Produktivitas kacang tanah di Indonesia mengalami fluktuasi selama tiga tahun terakhir. Upaya yang digunakan untuk meningkatkan produktivitas kacang tanah yaitu menggunakan Plant Growth Promoting Rizhobacteria serta penggunaan benih varietas unggul. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui komponen dan daya hasil empat varietas kacang tanah (Arachis hypogaea L.) yang diberi Plant Growth Promoting Rizohobacteria (PGPR). Percobaan dilakukan pada bulan Februari sampai dengan Mei 2024 di Teaching Desa Sigerongan, Kecamatan Lingsar, Kabupaten Lombok Barat. Rancangan yang digunakan pada percobaan ini adalah Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK)-Split plot design terdiri dari petak utama yaitu PGPR terdiri dari PGPR dan tanpa PGPR dan anak petak yaitu benih kacang tanah terdiri dari tiga varietas Hypoma-I, Pelanduk dan Domba serta satu galur yaitu G200-I. Setiap perlakuan diulang sebanyak 3 kali sehingga diperoleh 24 unit percobaan. Data dianalisis ragam dan uji lanjut dengan Duncan pada taraf nyata 5%. Interaksi antara PGPR dan varietas berpengaruh tidak nyata terhadap semua parameter yang diamati. Faktor tunggal PGPR berpengaruh tidak nyata terhadap semua parameter. Pemberian PGPR cenderung menghasilkan berat kering polong per plot yaitu 1900,8 g atau setara dengan 4,7 t/ha. Faktor varietas berpengaruh nyata terhadap mayoritas parameter pertumbuhan dan hasil tanaman yaitu berat kering biomassa tanaman di atas tanah, berat kering akar per tanaman, jumlah polong kering per tanaman, berat kering polong per tanaman, berat kering polong per plot. Hasil berat kering polong per plot mendapatkan nilai tertinggi yaitu pada varietas Domba (V3) dengan hasil 2150,0 g atau setara dengan 5,3 t/ha.

Abstract

Orrin fertilizer is a fertilizer commonly used by farmers because it contains all the nutrients that plants, including okra plants, needed. This research aimed to determine the effect of watering, orrin fertlizer concentration and the interaction between them on the growth and the yield of ocra plant. The experiment was held from August to November 2019 at Dusun Lengkok Embuk, Desa Mamben Lauk, Wanasaba, Lombok Timur. The experiment was designed according to used was a completely randomized design arranged factorially (2x5). The first factor was watering (75% and 100% field capacity). The second one was concentration of Orrin fertilizer application consist of 5 levels K0=0 ml/L water, K5=5 ml/L water, K10=10 ml/L water, K15=15 ml/L water, and K20=20 ml/L water with three replications, and thus resulted in 30 treatment pots. The data was analyzed by analysis of variance at 5% significance level. The result of the experiment showed that watering had significant effect only on the diameter of tube 30 day after transplanting (hspt) and the concentration of fertilizer did not have a significant effect on all tested parameters. In addition, the interaction between watering and fertilizer concentration significantly effected the height of the plant at 30 hspt.

Abstract

Chemical-based fertilizers have become a significant issue in the agricultural sector of Leming Village, Terara District, East Lombok Regency. Excessive use of chemical fertilizers can lead to various negative impacts on the environment, human health, and agricultural sustainability. Observations on the use of chemical fertilizers in Leming Village indicate that the number of chemical fertilizer users remains high, along with a low level of public awareness regarding the harmful effects of these fertilizers. The 2025 KKN PMD Program of Mataram University in Leming Village aims to educate the community about the dangers of chemical fertilizers, provide an alternative in the form of organic fertilizer made from a combination of rice husks and livestock manure (cow dung), and train the community in producing organic fertilizer using these materials. In addition to these initiatives, the KKN PMD program also includes tree planting and seedling distribution, which will be utilized for compost application
