Abstract

The purpose of this research is to (1) find out gamification as media and learning evaluation in Indonesian language MPK courses at Ganesha University of Education. The research method used in this research is descriptive analytical method with qualitative approach. The data collection techniques used are observation, interview, and documentation. The location of this research is at Ganesha University of Education. The research subjects were students who took MPK Indonesian Language courses at Ganesha University of Education. The results and discussion there are several applications to support learning in Indonesian language MPK courses, namely, Blooket, Gimkit, Kahoot, Quizwhizzer, Wordwall, and Oodlu. Student grades using gamification increased from an average of 7.5 to 8.5. Gamification with various applications is able to increase the positive attitude of students in learning Indonesian at Undiksha.

Abstract

The study of seventh grade students' essays at Undiksha Singaraja Laboratory School is important to understand the use of sentence types, sentence unity, and sentence structure. This study aims to describe (1) sentence types, (2) sentence unity, and (3) sentence structure in students' essays. The data collection method used document recording and was analyzed qualitatively. The results showed that students used 107 single sentences and 99 compound sentences, reflecting a balance between the two. Sentence unity is shown by 186 sentences that have clear subject-predicate relationships, while there are 11 sentences without subjects and predicates, 8 sentences only contain predicates, and 1 sentence only has a subject. The varied sentence structures show the students' ability to construct sentences well. This research not only improves the understanding of students' writing ability, but also contributes to the field of syntax with insights into sentence formation and coherence among junior high school students

Abstract

Penelitian ini mengangkat permasalahan bagaimanakah penyimpangan pemakaian bahasa Indonesia pada laporan penelitian dosen di lingkungan UNDIKSHA ditinjau dari segi (1) tata kalimat, (2) tata bentukan, (3) tata makna/diksi, dan (4) tata tulis. Subjek penelitian ini adalah laporan penelitian dosen UNDIKSHA tahun 2012 sebanyak 35 buah dari jumlah penelitian dosen sebanyak 116 buah (di luar dosen Bahasa Indonesia). Jumlah laporan sebanyak itu berasal dari peneliti MIPA 11 buah dan peneliti NONMIPA 24 buah. Data yang berupa penyimpangan pemakaian bahasa Indonesia dalam laporan penelitian dosen dikumpulkan dengan metode dokumentasi. Untuk memperkuat penggolongan ragam penyimpangan pemakaian bahasa dalam laporan, maka dilakukan validasi dari pakar dalam bidang analisis kesalahan atau dalam bidang linguistik terapan. Data yang telah terkumpul dianalisis dengan metode analisis deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa dalam  laporan penelitian dosen Universitas Pendidikan Ganesha tahun 2012 masih ditemukan aneka ragam penyimpangan pemakaian bahasa, baik yang menyangkut tata kalimat, tata bentukan, tata makna/diksi, maupun tata tulis. Dalam kaitannya dengan tata kalimat, ditemukan adanya penyimpangan kalimat tanpa subjek dan atau predikat, kalimat tanpa paralelisme, kalimat dengan frasa berpola Menerangkan-Diterangkan, dan kalimat pleonastis. Dalam kaitannya dengan tata bentukan, ditemukan adanya penyimpangan bentuk prefiks meN- dan konfiks peN-an. Dalam kaitannya dengan tata makna, ditemukan adanya penalaran yang tidak logis dan pilihan penggunaan kata yang tidak tepat. Dalam kaitannya dengan tata tulis, pada garis besarnya ditemukan adanya beberapa ragam penyimpangan, yaitu penyimpangan (1) penulisan huruf, (2) penulisan kata, (3) dan pemakaian tanda baca.

Abstract

Penelitian ini adalah penelitian pengembangan dengan model 4D (Define, Design, Develop, dan Disseminate). Tujuan penelitian adalah mengembangkan perangkat pembelajaran bahasa Indonesia untuk membangun sikap bahasa positif terhadap bahasa Indonesia. Pada makalah ini pembahasan lebih difokuskan pada pola insersi nilai-nilai untuk membangun sikap bahasa terhadap bahasa Indonesia dan efektifitas perangkat yang dikembangkan. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan teknik wawancara, observasi, studi dokumen, dan angket. Analisis data menggunakan analisis deskriptif kualitatif dan kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pola insersi penanaman sikap bahasa positif dapat dilakukan dengan menganalisis pembelajaran dan menanamkan nilai pada materi pembelajaran. Uji efektifitas menunjukkan bahwa insersi sikap bahasa dalam bahan ajar efektif menumbuhkan sikap bahasa positif terhadap bahasa Indonesia.

Abstract

This study aimed to find out (1) ethnomedical understanding on the conservation of medicinal plants vocabulary in the South Kuta community, (2) the implication of ethnomedical understanding on the conservation of medicinal plants vocabulary in the South Kuta community. The design of this study was descriptive research design. The subjects in this study were 200 people. The objects in this study were in the form of understanding of the ethnomedical vocabulary, medicinal plants, and the implications of ethnomedical understanding on the preservation of vocabulary on traditional medicinal plants. Data collection were conducted by distributing questionnaires, interviews, document recording, and observation. Data analyses were conducted by the descriptive method of quantitative and qualitative. The presentation was done formally and informally. The results showed that the percentage of understanding which was very dominant or above 50%are aloe vera, turmeric, ginger, and kencur. The implications of ethnomedical understanding on vocabulary preservation of medicinal plants for the people of South Kuta include vocabulary linkages, the making of traditional medicines, the making and utilization of them, such as the manufacture and use of herbs for traditional medicine made from turmeric, dadap, aloe vera, ginger, and kencur. Making vegetables, from Moringa leaves, and dadap which is mashed and pasted/smeared, andong, dadap, kelor, turmeric, ginger, kencur. In addition, the manufacture of scrubs from turmeric, and kencur. Words of traditional medicinal plants which were not listed in implication mean the community just understood or knew but the implementation related to ethnomedical had not been done. In short, the percentage of public understanding which is dominant or above 50% is the understanding of the word of aloe vera, turmeric, ginger, and kencur. The implications of the ethnomedical understanding of vocabulary preservation of medicinal plants of the people of South Kuta include the linkage of vocabulary to the manufacture of traditional medicines and their utilization, such as the manufacture and use of herbs for traditional medicine made from turmeric, dadap, aloe vera, ginger, and kencur.

Abstract

The purpose of this research to (1) describe the language variations in sociolinguistic interaction of society in Busungbiu district Buleleng Regency, (2) to describe the language choice in sociolinguistic interaction of society in Busungbiu district Buleleng Regency, and (3) to describe the factors that affect language variations and language choices in sociolinguistic interaction of society  in Busungbiu district Buleleng Regency. Data were collected using observation and interview. The data are analyzed through reduction, presentation and data collection. The location of this research is 4 of 15 villages in Busungbiu sub-district that is Sepang Village, Pelapuan, Kekeran, and Busungbiu. The result of this research shows that (1) There are language variations in terms of speakers of dialect and sociolek and language variations in terms of formality. (2) There is a code switching of the Bali language code into the Indonesia language, code switching the Indonesia language code into Bali language, code switching the Java language code into the Indonesia language. The code mixing into and code mixing exit. (3) Factors that influence is the language variation that is area of the speaker's and social origin. Factors that influence is the language choice that is changing speech situations, the presence of a third person, awakens a sense of humor, to a mere prestige, using more popular terms. Thus it can be concluded that the Bali language experiencing critical condition and bali language start to weaken. This can be proved by the existence of citizens who notabene native Bali language speakers can code switch and code mixed, so the use of Bali language began to shift little by little. Based on this, the need for guidance, training and coaching, especially the Bali language in Busungbiu district.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk  mendeskripsikan proses pemerolehan kosa kata bahasa Bali pada balita di Perumahan Padang Asri dengan di Banjar Jerowan Tumbak Bayuh, dan perbedaan pemerolehan kosa kata bahasa Bali di Perumahan Padang Asri dengan di Banjar Jerowan Tumbak Bayuh. Metode yang dibunakan dalam memeroleh data pad penelitian ini adalah metode Observasi Sebelum melakukan penelitian, pertama-tama mengobservasi atau survei lokasi yang akan dijadikan tempat penelitian, setelah itu peneliti menentukan siapa yang cocok dijadikan subjek penelitian ini, metode yang kedua adalah metode teknik rekam. Dalam penelitian ini peneliti mengguakan teknik merekam gambar (rekaman) dalam mendapatkan data. Alat perekam yang peneliti gunakan berupa telepon genggam (HP) milik pribadi. Teknik ini digunakan agar data yang diperoleh lebih jelas dan valid. Peneliti merekam gambar ketika anak balita dan orang tuanya sedang berkomunikasi. Di dalam rekaman tersebut, peneliti akan lebih mudah mengetahui kosa kata bahasa bali apa saja yang keluar dalam percakapan antara balita dengan orang tuanya tersebut. Subjek penelitian ini adalah anak balita usia satu sampai lima tahun dari kedua lokasi yang toalnya mencapai 20 anak balita. Objek penelitian ini adalah kosa kata bahsa bali. Data dianalisis melalui hasil rekaman balita yang sedang berinteraksi dengan orang tuanya. Hasil Pemerolehan kosa kata bahasa Bali pada anak balita di perumahan padang asri memang masih kurang dibandingkan dengan di desa Tumbak Bayuh yang mecapai 115 kosa kata bahasa bali total dalam waktu 50 menit dibandingkan  dengan di perumahan padang asri yang mencapai 40 kosa kata bahsa Bali. Kata kunci: Pemerolehan Kosa Kata Bahsa Bali, Metode Obsevasi, Teknik Rekam, dan Hasil Penelitian

Abstract

This study aims to describe the implementation, improvement of learning outcomes, and student responses to speaking skills through the application of the Project-Based Learning (PBL) model, supported by audio-visual media and video editing, in the teaching of news texts in Grade VII B at SMP PGRI 1 Denpasar during the 2023/2024 academic year. This classroom action research involved 33 students, with a focus on Indonesian language learning outcomes. Data were collected through observation, learning outcome tests, and student response questionnaires, and then analyzed descriptively, both qualitatively and quantitatively. The findings indicate a significant improvement in students' speaking skills. The average class score in the pre-test was only 54.69%, which increased to 70% in the first cycle with the implementation of the PBL model assisted by audio-visual media. Further improvement was observed in the second cycle, where the average score reached 80.15% with the addition of video editing support, and all students met the criteria for learning objectives achievement. The success of this research was also corroborated by positive student responses to the PBL model.

Abstract

Kajian yang dilakukan ini bertujuan untuk menguraikan aspek fonologi dalam pembelajaran bahasa Bali. Fonologi sebagai cabang yang mengkaji pola bunyi dalam keterampilan berbahasa. Kajian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif dengan teknik penelitian literatur sumber daya tertulis. Data yang diperoleh dari kajian yang dilaksanakan  ini menunjukkan bahwa dalam bahasa Bali mempunyai 6 fonem yang terkategori vokal dan 18 fonem terkategori konsonan beserta kosa kata yang terdapat pada 6 fonem terkategori vokal dan 18 fonem terkategori konsonan dalam bahasa Bali. Selain itu, ditemukan proses fonologis terdapat empat jenis yaitu asimilasi, perubahan struktur kata, proses penggunaan kata, dan netralisasi. Melalui contoh kosa kata dan contoh proses fonologis dalam bahasa Bali tersebut menunjukkan bahwa fonem konsonan dan vokal memiliki peran penting dalam membedakan makna kata dan kalimat dalam bahasa Bali. Data kajian ini dapat dijadikan sebagai salah satu  referensi untuk memahami lebih lanjut tentang struktur bahasa Bali dan meningkatkan kemampuan bahasa Bali bagi pembelajar. Aspek fonologi berkontribusi secara signifikan terhadap efektivitas pembelajaran bahasa untuk pelafalan serta pemahaman maknanya. Oleh karena, itu sangat penting untuk proses pengajaran terdapat materi fonologi untuk meningkatkan kompetensi berbahasa.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the discourse framing of Kompas.com news texts related to the hashtag “Kabur Aja Dulu”, which was published in the period 17 February - 17 March 2025. This research is a descriptive qualitative research with Teun A. Van Dijk analysis model. The research data was obtained through digital documentation of Kompas.com articles using the hashtag “Kabur Aja Dulu”, then analyzed through three main stages: data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The analysis was conducted systematically using Van Dijk's structural framework which includes three levels of analysis: macro structure, superstructure, and microstructure. The analysis shows that Kompas.com tends to use language and interview techniques that reflect the government's perspective, with complex discourse framing patterns that reflect power dynamics in news production. Through the analysis of Van Dijk's model, it can be seen that the media uses various linguistic and structural strategies to build a narrative that is in line with the government's perspective, including the use of formal language, structured interview techniques, and the construction of a strong narrative about the urgency of handling the phenomenon. Overall, this study reveals how the mass media play an important role in the social construction of reality through the way they frame and convey information to the public.
