Abstract

This study aimed at finding the process of developing learning multimedia on the food and beverage product course particularly in the soup menu as the sub-topic. The validity of developed product depended on the expert judgements; content expert judgment, media expert judgement, and design expert judgement. The research model used in this study was ADDIE model in which the subjects of this study were 2 content expert judges, 2 design expert judges, and 2 media expert judges. There were also 40 students of twelfth grade involved in this study. The data were gained by conducting observation, interview, and questionnaire. The process of developing learning multimedia on the food and beverage product course particularly in the soup menu as the sub-topic was relevant and appropriate to be used for twelfth grade students in vocational high school. The use of developed learning multimedia assisted students in understanding the learning material due to the complement of concrete examples in the form of picture and video. It also created students’ interactions during the learning process where the students were able to operate and response the questions given in this interactive learning multimedia.  The developed product has very good quality viewed from the results of content validity, design validity, and media validity. The similar result also found from the individual validity and small group validity.

Abstract

This research investigates the influence of planting media and watering intervals on the growth of Aglaonema. The study utilizes a Randomized Group Design (RAK) with various compositions of planting media, including husk charcoal, chicken manure bokashi, and eggshell flour, in ratios M1=1:2:1, M2=2:1:2, M3=3:2:1. Watering time intervals were set as I1=once every 2 days, I2=once every 4 days, and I3=every 6 days. There were 27 experimental units, each combination repeated thrice. Statistical analysis, including Sidik Ragam and Duncan's New Multiple Range Test (DNMRT), revealed a significant interaction effect between planting media and watering intervals on plant height, leaf number, leaf length, and leaf width of Aglaonema. Notably, the composition 3:2:1 showed the highest growth in plant height (5.03cm), leaf number (4.53 strands), leaf length (4.83cm), and leaf width (4.13cm). This composition did not significantly differ from 1:2:2 with a 2-day watering interval and 3:2:1 with a 2 and 6-day watering interval, but it significantly outperformed other treatments. The findings contribute valuable insights into optimizing Aglaonema growth conditions for enhanced quality and productivity.

Abstract

The difficulties faced by teachers at a Special Public School in teaching Balinese script literacy to visually impaired children have resulted in low literacy skills in Balinese script among these students. In order to maximize Balinese script learning, appropriate learning media tailored to the characteristics of visually impaired children are necessary. This study aims to determine the design, feasibility, and effectiveness of the Relief Balinese Script Media (Reaksi) assisted by audio to improve the Balinese script literacy of visually impaired students at a Special Public School. The study utilizes the ADDIE development model with a quantitative research design. Data collection methods include written tests assessing Balinese script writing. The subjects of this study are 12 visually impaired students. The results of this development study are as follows: (1) the design of the audio media achieved a score of 93.15%, qualifying as excellent; (2) the Reaksi media was deemed feasible, scoring 91.44% and qualifying as excellent; (3) the obtained t-value was 77.97, while the t-table value at a significance level of 5% was 2.101. These results indicate that the t-value is greater than the t-table value, thus rejecting H0 and accepting H1. Therefore, it can be concluded that the Relief Balinese Script Media (Reaksi) assisted by audio is effectively applied to improve the Balinese script literacy of visually impaired students at a Special Public School. This audio-assisted Relief Balinese Script Media (Reaksi) helps visually impaired students recognize the actual forms of Balinese script, thereby enhancing the literacy skills of Balinese script reading and writing among visually impaired students.

Abstract

The use of learning media is less varied, monotonous, and still one-way. This study aims to develop multimedia on food and beverage processing elements and the sub-elements of hot and cold appetizers. This type of research is development. The model used for product development is the ADDIE model. The subjects of this study consisted of 2 learning content experts, 2 learning design experts, and 2 learning media experts. The product trial subjects totaled 40 students from class XII. The instrument used in this research is a questionnaire. The data analysis technique used in this study is descriptive qualitative, quantitative, and statistical inferential analysis techniques. The results of this study are that the process of developing learning multimedia in the elements of food and beverage processing, the sub-elements of hot and cold appetizers, obtains very good qualifications from experts and students so that they are suitable for use in learning. The use of multimedia learning can help students understand the material because it is equipped with concrete examples in the form of pictures and videos and can create student interaction in the learning process because students can operate and respond to questions given in this interactive learning multimedia, not just see and hear.

Abstract

Students still need to learn independently; this is due to the unavailability of interactive learning media. This research aimed at creating contextual-based learning videos for grade VI elementary school Indonesian language content. This type of research was developed using the ADDIE model. The research subjects included content, design and learning media experts, and individual and small group tests. Data collection methods in this development research used questionnaire methods and test methods. Data analysis methods and techniques were quantitative descriptive analysis techniques and t-test inferential statistics. Based on the evaluation results from content experts, the percentage was 96.66% of design expert, 92.85% of media expert, 92% of individual trial, and 99.33%  of Small Group Trials. The effectiveness of developing contextual-based learning videos obtained an average posttest result of 90.54, which was in a very good qualification, more significant than the average pretest result of 46.90, which was in the poor stuff. Based on the t-test results, it was obtained that the tcount was equal to 26.448, and the t table was similar to 2.018 for db equals 42 from a significance level of 5%. The results showed that there were significant results between before and after the use of contextual-based learning videos. The research concluded that learning videos effectively improves student learning outcomes in Indonesian language content for class VI elementary school.

Abstract

Penelitian ini mengevaluasi pengaruh Model Project Based Learning (PBL) berbantuan video pembelajaran terhadap nalar kritis dan literasi sains siswa kelas IV SD di Gugus IV, Kecamatan Buleleng pada Tahun Pelajaran 2023/2024 dengan metode eksperimen semu dan desain Posttest-Only Control Group. Sampel terdiri dari kelas IV SDN 1 Banyuasri sebagai kelompok eksperimen dan IV SDN 4 Banyuasri sebagai kelompok kontrol, dipilih secara acak. Data dikumpulkan melalui tes dan dianalisis menggunakan MANOVA serta analisis statistik deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa rata-rata skor nalar kritis kelompok eksperimen (89,03) signifikan lebih tinggi dibandingkan kelompok kontrol (65,16), demikian juga dengan literasi sains (80,34 vs. 69,03). Implikasi dari temuan ini adalah bahwa PBL berbantuan video dapat meningkatkan keterampilan berpikir kritis dan pemahaman ilmiah siswa di sekolah dasar. Integrasi teknologi video dalam pembelajaran tidak hanya membuat materi lebih menarik, tetapi juga lebih terkait dengan aplikasi praktis dalam kehidupan nyata, yang dapat meningkatkan motivasi belajar siswa secara keseluruhan. Penelitian ini memberikan kontribusi penting dalam literatur pendidikan dengan menunjukkan bahwa PBL dengan video pembelajaran efektif dalam meningkatkan pencapaian akademis dan mempersiapkan siswa untuk menghadapi tantangan kompleks di era teknologi yang terus berkembang

Abstract

PPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh Model Problem Based Learning berbantuan media tangram terhadap kemampuan berpikir kreatif dan pemecahan masalah matematika siswa di kelas IV SD di Gugus V, Kecamatan Buleleng Tahun Pelajaran 2023/2024. Jenis penelitian ini adalah eksperimen semu, dengan desain Posttest-Only Control Group Desain. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh kelas IV SD di Gugus V, Kecamatan Buleleng. Sampel penelitian ini adalah kelas IV SDN 4 Kaliuntu sebagai kelompok eksperimen dan kelas IV SDN 1 Kaliuntu sebagai kelompok kontrol yang diperoleh dengan teknik random sampling. Metode analisis yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini meliputi analisis statistik deskriptif dan analisis inferensial yang menggunakan Multivariate Analysis of Variance (MANOVA). Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa rata-rata skor kemampuan berpikir kreatif pada kelompok eksperimen (85,29) lebih besar dari kelompok kontrol (71,77) dan rata-rata skor kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika pada kelompok eksperimen (83,17) lebih besar dari kelompok kontrol (69,44). Secara simultan kemampuan berpikir kreatif dan pemecahan masalah matematika antara siswa yang mengikuti model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning berbantuan media tangram secara signifikan lebih baik daripada kelompok yang mengikuti model pembelajaran Direct Learning.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh kurangnya bahan ajar yang mampu meningkatkan keaktifan dan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengembangkan e-modul berbasis problem based learning mata pelajaran informatika yang valid, praktis dan efektif meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah Research and Development (R&D) dengan model pengembangan ADDIE (Analyze, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluate). Subjek penelitian ini terdiri dari dua macam yaitu responden ahli dan responden pengguna. Data yang dikumpulkan dalam bentuk data kuantitatif dan kualitatif, dengan instrumen angket digunakan untuk validasi para ahli dan uji kepraktisan. Instrumen tes digunakan untuk pretest dan posttest siswa dengan teknik analisis statistik inferensial (uji-t). Hasil penelitian yang diperoleh yaitu; E-Modul berbasis problem based learning mata pelajaran informatika berhasil dikembangkan melalui tahapan ADDIE. E-Modul dinyatakan valid dengan hasil review ahli isi pembelajaran sebesar 92% (sangat baik), ahli media pembelajaran sebesar 91% (sangat baik), dan ahli desain pembelajaran sebesar 93% (sangat baik). E-Modul dinyatakan praktis dengan hasil review sebesar 96.5% (sangat baik). Uji keefektifan dilakukan dengan mengukur hasil uji-t dengan taraf signifikansi α = 0.05, diperoleh nilai Sig (2-tailed) sebesar 0,001 < 0,05. Dengan demikian, terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa sebelum dan sesudah diterapkan e-modul. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa, inovasi e-modul berbasis problem based learning mata pelajaran informatika valid, praktis dan efektif meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa. Implikasi penelitian ini adalah pemanfaatan media pembelajaran sebagai penunjang proses pembelajaran tidak hanya selalu terpaku pada penggunaan buku saja.

Abstract

There is no learning media that can facilitate learning so that students tend to be passive and have an impact on low student learning outcomes. The purpose of this study is to develop interactive learning multimedia with a contextual approach to improve the learning outcomes of fifth grade elementary school students in science. This study is development research with the ADDIE (Analyze, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation) development model. The data collection methods used in this study are observation, interviews, questionnaires, and tests. The data analysis used is descriptive qualitative and descriptive quantitative. The results of this study are expert validity tests with very good qualifications in the category of 100% learning material content experts, 94.66% learning design experts, and 93.33% learning media experts. The results of the product trial on individual trials were 94.28%, and small group trials were 92.85% with very good qualifications. The results of the effectiveness test of the application of interactive learning multimedia with an average pre-test of 55.83 and an average post-test of 89.17. This study has implications for interactive learning multimedia being able to improve student learning outcomes with a contextual approach so that learning is more meaningful. It can be concluded that interactive learning multimedia with a contextual approach is stated to be valid and effective in improving learning outcomes in the subject of science for grade V Elementary School students.

Abstract

This study was motivated by the low achievement levels of students in the Natural and Social Sciences (IPAS) subject. This issue arises from the lack of instructional materials that adequately support the learning process. The research aims to develop a problem-based learning e-book for fourth-grade IPAS in elementary schools. This is a development study employing the ADDIE model, which consists of five systematic stages: analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The study involved three experts (content, design, and media) and nine students in a small-group trial. Data collection methods included interviews, observations, questionnaires, and tests. Data analysis employed qualitative and quantitative techniques, as well as inferential statistics. The results indicated that the e-book achieved "very good" qualifications in terms of validity and user response. Furthermore, the effectiveness test, based on t-test calculations, revealed significant differences in learning outcomes before and after using the problem-based learning e-book. The post-test scores exceeded the Minimum Competency Standards (KKTP), indicating that the problem-based learning e-book effectively improved the learning outcomes of fourth-grade students in the IPAS subject. The innovation of e-books based on problem-based learning in the content of the fourth grade science subjects in elementary schools has implications for increasing learning outcomes and student abilities in the content of science subjects with e-book teaching materials, and can hone teachers' abilities in the field of technology.
