Abstract

Growth performance, survival rate, productivity, and carcass analysis were examined in the whole grow-out production system for Pacific white shrimp Litopenaeus vannamei fed four commercial diets over 15 weeks. Shrimp were held in twelve hapas nets with a size of 2 x 2 x 1 m and installed within the commercial ponds. The shrimp were stocked with the density of 100 shrimp m-2 per net in a completely randomized design (CRD). All feed used in this study was characterized with high protein levels within the range of 40 – 42% labeled as HP A and B; and medium protein levels (30 – 35%), labeled as MP A and B. Based on the proximate and nutritional profile analysis of the diet, the nutritional profile of HP B, MP A and MP B written on the feed bags showed an inconsistent results compared to the results of the test.  Shrimp fed the highest protein level had higher final body weight; feed conversion ratio, thermal growth coefficient, survival rate and average daily growth compared to MP B. Shrimp fed higher protein level also exhibited the lowest feed conversion ratio compared to the group of shrimp fed with medium protein. The results obtained in this study indicated that with small difference in growth rates, especially between HP groups compared with MP A, there is still a chance to re-formulate the diet to produce a cost-effective diet that still fulfill the specific nutrient requirement of the shrimp. Feed did not influence the nutritional deposition of the whole body of shrimp, but it seemed due to the inappropriate drying techniques Keywords: Protein level, growth, carcass, Litopenaeus vannamei, specific nutrient

Abstract

In the 21st century, fostering critical thinking and problem-solving skills is essential for students. This study analyzes the manifestation of Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) and Lower Order Thinking Skills (LOTS) in the English textbook '˜English for Nusantara' for Grade VII. HOTS involves higher-level cognitive processes such as analysis, evaluation, and creation, while LOTS focuses on recall and comprehension. Involving a qualitative research design with a content analysis approach, this study applied Revised Bloom's Taxonomy, which categorize exercises into LOTS (remember, understand, and apply) and HOTS (analyze, evaluate, and create). A total of 116 exercises in the form of instructions and 67 exercises in the form of questions from listening, speaking, reading, and writing tasks were analyzed. To maintain consistency, inter-rater reliability was ensured, where the analysis was cross-verified through discussions with a validator. The findings show that LOTS dominates the exercises, with 81% of the exercises are in the form of instructions and 89% in the form of questions. This indicates a heavy emphasis on LOTS and suggests an opportunity for more HOTS integration. Based on these findings, the study recommends that teachers incorporate more HOTS-focused activities, and textbook authors should design future editions with a stronger emphasis on HOTS exercises to foster critical thinking skills. Such adjustments would better equip students to meet the demands of the 21st century.

Abstract

Gamification is one of the strategies widely applied by junior high school teachers in English language learning within their classrooms. However, the implementation of gamification thus far only focused on incorporating all gamification elements without considering which specific elements have the greatest impact on improving students' English proficiency. To fill this gap, this research is conducted to discover the gamification elements that can optimally increase English proficiency. Using survey method, this research involves 250 respondents from junior high school students in Kota Malang who have an experience in gamification strategies. The results show that gamification elements cannot increase students"™ English proficiency when implemented individually; while all involved gamification elements simultaneously affect the English proficiency. Therefore, to improve English proficiency, teachers should integrate all gamification elements within their instructional strategies. Because of its limitation, future research that involves respondents from different areas and school types needs to be conducted to provide a broader understanding of how these elements perform in various contexts.

Abstract

Seaweeds is a fishery commodity that has economic value and generates quite a large amount of foreign exchange. However, in its development, production fluctuated and not all marine locations could maintain seaweed throughout the year. Relatively low production costs and a market that is available at any time. The purpose of this study was to analyze the productivity and development strategies for Euchema cotonii grass cultivation in Banten Bay. Changes in spatial planning, land conversion, industrial activities in the western and eastern parts, waste disposal through the river in this section and the excavation of sand mines have made the bay very vulnerable to the environment. The location of this activity is the coast and waters around the island of  Banten Bay. The method of data collection is the measurement of water quality parameters in the field, surveys, interviews, discussions and limited participation in seaweed cultivation locations. The data analysis method is descriptive and uses the SWOT tool (Strength, Weakness, Opportunities and Threats) and uses SPSS version 25, excel and to assess sustainability using raphfish. Research results show. Water quality conditions are in accordance with the growth of seaweed. Production starting in 1987 fluctuated and conditions were stagnant in the last 3 years. The recommended strategy for increasing production is increasing grass productivity through expanding areas that have mapped potential and land suitability with applied technology, competent human resources, using superior seeds and reducing environmental pollution by industry and sand mining. KEYWORDS: Seaweed; Banten Bay; Environmental pollution; Serang.

Abstract

Abstract

Simbang Wetan Village faces a dual challenge: the accumulation of unmanaged flannel waste from the local convection industry and the need to enhance household-level food security. This community service activity aimed to transfer appropriate technology in the form of an innovative aquaponics wick system that utilizes flannel waste as a key functional component. The method employed a participatory learning approach, combining presentations, hands-on practice, and discussions. This activity was conducted on September 8, 2025, at the Simbang Wetan Village Hall, involving 24 residents. The program's success was measured quantitatively using pre-test and post-test instruments. Data analysis revealed a highly significant improvement in understanding and skills. Specific knowledge regarding the function of flannel fabric as an aquaponics wick surged dramatically from 8.3% in the pre-test to 100% in the post-test. Similarly, practical understanding of assembling the system from recycled materials increased from 4.1% to 87.5%. These results indicate that the workshop was highly effective in transferring knowledge and shifting the community's paradigm towards waste management. The broader adoption of this technology at the household level, along with continuous mentoring, is recommended to ensure program sustainability.

Abstract

SNA (Social Network Analysis) is a modeling method for users which is symbolized by points (nodes) and interactions between users are represented by lines (edges). This method is needed to see patterns of social interaction in the network starting with finding out who the key actors are. The novelty of this study lies in the expansion of the analysis of other suspects, not only key actors identified during this time. This method performs a narrowed network mapping by examining only nodes connected to key actors. Secondary key actors no longer use centrality but use weight indicators at the edges. A case study using the hashtag "Manchester United" on the social media platform Twitter was conducted in the study. The results of the Social Network Analysis (SNA) revealed that @david_ornstein accounts are key actors with centrality of 2298 degrees. Another approach found @hadrien_grenier, @footballforall, @theutdjournal accounts had a particularly high intensity of interaction with key actors. The intensity of communication between secondary actors and key actors is close to or above the weighted value of 50. The results of this analysis can be used to suspect other potential suspects who have strong ties to key actors by looking.
