Abstract

Abstrak:Pembelajaran IPA dengan pendekatan keterampilan proses inkuiri dapat meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis dan meningkatkan motivasi belajar siswa perlu dilakukan. Model Pembelajaran Berbasis Masalah dengan menggunakan proses inkuiri diharapkan dapat meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis dan motivasi belajar siswa karena model ini menekankan pada pemecahan masalah. Permasalahan dalam penelitian ini adalah bagaimana motivasi dan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa dengan menggunakan perangkat pembelajaran IPA Berbasis Masalah yang telah dikembangkan?. Pengumpulan data dengan memberikan tes kemampuan berpikir kritis, melakukan observasi dan memberikan angket motivasi. Subyek ujicoba penelitian adalah siswa kelas VII A dan VII C SMP Negeri 1 Ngadirejo Temanggung yang ditentukan secara random sampling dari tujuh kelas yang ada. Kelas VII C sebagai kelompok kontrol dan kelas VII A sebagai kelompok eksperimen. Hasil belajar kemampuan berpikir kritis kelas eksperimen mengalami peningkatan dari 61,53 menjadi 80,24. Uji signifikansi hasil belajar kognitif kelas eksperimen diperoleh nilai thitung = 11,76 dan harga ttabel = 1,69 karena thitung > ttabel maka dapat disimpulkan hasil belajar tes kemampuan berpikir kritis mengalami peningkatan yang signifikan. Motivasi belajar siswa dalam pembelajaran PBL mengalami peningkatan dari pre-test ke post-test. Hasil analisis data menunjukkan bahwa perangkat pembelajaran IPA Berbasis Masalah mampu meningkatkan motivasi dan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa.Abstract:Science learning by using skill process inquiry approach could increase critical thinking skill and increase learning motivation of the students need to be increased. Learning Model based on Problem by using inquiry process was expected to increase the critical thinking skill and learning motivation of the students because this model was emphasized on resolving problem. The problem in this research is how learning motivation and critical thinking of the students by using the science learning materials based on problem have been developed? The data was collected by giving critical thinking test, observation, and inquiry motivation. The subject of this research was grade VII A and C Students of SMPN 1 Ngadirejo Temanggung determined by using random sampling from the seven classes in that school. Grade VII C is control group and grade VII A is experimental group. The learning output of experimental group’s critical thinking skill is increasing from 61.53 to 80.24. Signification test of the cognitive learning output got the value of  = 11.76 and  = 1.69 because >  so it could be concluded that the output of critical thinking skill was improved significantly. The result of data analysis showed that science learning materials based on problem could increase motivation and critical thinking skill of the students, it was proved from the increasing of pre test and post test result.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh kualitas produk, citra merek, dan desain produk terhadap keputusan pembelian sepeda motor Honda Beat. Dengan variabel kualitas produk adalah X1, variabel citra merek adalah X2, variabel desain produk adalah X3, dan variabel keputusan pembelian adalah Y. Metode penelitian       ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif. Sumber data dalam penelitian ini yaitu data primer. Data primer yang digunakan yaitu dengan cara menyebarkan kuisioner kepada para responden yang terdiri dari pertanyaan-pertanyaan yang telah disediakan pilihan jawabannya dengan menggunakan skala likert.. Populasi yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu  Mahasiswa Universitas Pelita Bangsa Angkatan 2017 Manajemen Pemasaran. Teknik pengambilan sampel dalam penelitian ini menggunakan metode purposive sampling dengan jumlah sampel yang diperoleh sebanyak 140 responden.. Hasil penelitian secara parsial menunjukkan bahwa iklan berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap keputusan pembelian sepeda motor Honda Beat, citra kualitas produk merek secara parsial menunjukkan berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap keputusan pembelian sepeda motor Honda Beat, dan desain produk secara parsial menunjukkan berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap keputusan pembelian sepeda motor Honda Beat.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penerapan pendekatan  Chemoentrepreneurship (CEP) terhadap pemahaman konsep, peningkatan life skill, dan keterampilan proses sains siswa. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas XI IPA MAN 1 Semarang. Desain yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah desain control group pre test post test. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan menggunakan purposive sampling menghasilkan kelas XI-IPA 1 sebagai kelas eksperimen dan XI-IPA 2 sebagai kelas kontrol. Pada kelas eksperimen, pembelajaran menggunakan pendekatan Chemoentrepreneurship (CEP) sedangkan pada kelas kontrol pembelajaran seperti yang biasa dilakukan guru mitra tanpa menerapkan pendekatan Chemoentrepreneurship (CEP). Pengumpulan data menggunakan metode tes, observasi, dan angket. Berdasarkan uji perbedaan dua rata-rata, diperoleh hasil kelas eksperimen memiliki rata-rata pemahaman konsep yang lebih baik dibandingkan kelas kontrol. Dari hasil analisis, diperoleh koefisien korelasi biserial pemahaman konsep (rb) sebesar 0,48 dengan koefisien determinasi sebesar 23,04%, sedangkan life skill siswa meningkat sebesar 23% dan berdasarkan analisis deskriptif didapatkan persentase nilai keterampilan proses sains siswa sebesar 95,91% dengan kategori sangat baik. Simpulan penelitian ini adalah pembelajaran menggunakan pendekatan Chemoentrepreneurship (CEP) berpengaruh pada pemahaman konsep siswa, dapat meningkatkan life skill, dan keterampilan proses sains siswa MA Negeri 1 Semarang pada meteri larutan penyangga.

Abstract

Berdasarkan hasil studi pendahuluan yang dilakukan di SMA N 9 Semarang kelas X tahun ajaran 2012/2013, diperoleh data ketuntasan klasikal siswa pada mata pelajaran kimia kurang dari 85% dan kemampuan life skill siswa rendah yaitu sebesar 61%, sehingga diperlukan metode yang tepat untuk membantu siswa agar lebih tertarik dalam mempelajari kimia dan dapat meningkatkan kemampuan life skill siswa. Dalam penelitian ini, peneliti menerapkan pembelajaran minyak bumi berorientasi Chemoentrepreneurship (CEP). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui keefektifan pembelajaran berorientasi Chemoentrepreneurship (CEP) pada pemahaman konsep dan kemampuan life skill siswa SMA kelas X. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas X SMA N 9 Semarang. Desain yang digunakan adalah post test only control design. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan teknik cluster random sampling, kelas X-3 sebagai kelas eksperimen dan X-2 sebagai kelas kontrol. Hasil ketuntasan belajar menunjukkan bahwa kelas eksperimen mencapai ketuntasan belajar klasikal sebesar 88,89%, sedangkan kelas kontrol hanya sebesar 78,95%. Rata-rata pemahaman konsep siswa kelas eksperimen lebih baik daripada kelas kontrol yaitu masing-masing sebesar 80,11 dan 74,32. Kemampuan life skill siswa meningkat dari 61% menjadi 84%. Berdasarkan hasil tersebut, dapat disimpulkan bahwa pembelajaran berorientasi Chemoentrepreneurship (CEP) efektif pada pemahaman konsep dan kemampuan life skill siswa SMA kelas X.

Abstract

Susu sapi yang dihasilkan para peternak sapi di RT 03 RW 02 Kelurahan Nongkosawit Kecamatan Gunungpati hanya dijual ke pasar dalam keadaan susu segar dan selebihnya untuk kebutuhan sendiri sehari-hari tanpa ada upaya untuk membuat produk lain yang lebih bervariasi. Tujuan spesifik kegiatan ini adalah agar masyarakat melalui kelompok ibu-ibu PKK RT 03 RW 02 dapat memanfaatkan potensi yang ada didaerahnya, kecuali itu juga meningkatkan gizi pada balitanya mengingat susu merupakan makanan yang bergizi cukup tinggi dan harganya relatif murah. Metode kegiatan yang digunakan adalah metode ceramah mengenai seluk beluk susu, metode praktek tentang cara pengolahan susu sapi segar menjadi youghurt aneka rasa dan yang berhubungan dengan pasca pengolahan, metode tanya jawab untuk mengetahui sampai sejauh mana peserta mampu menerima atau terlibat dalam kegiatan ini dan evaluasi untuk memperoleh gambaran dalam rangka penafsiran dan analisis untuk memperoleh simpulan dari semua kegiatan yang sudah dilaksanakan. Hasil dari kegiatan ini menunjukkan masyarakat sangat antusias untuk mengolah susu sapi segar menjadi youghurt dengan berbagai macam rasa. Perlu dilakukan inovasi dan kreativitas dalam proses pengolahan susu sapi segar agar produk yang dihasilkan bisa lebih baik danbermutu.

Abstract

The result of observation and interview shows that the learning process in Nguyen Tat Thanh High School was going fun and everyday teacher used different method of learning, sometimes teacher also made a worksheet for students, but the power point presentation media that teacher used did not show the interaction between media, teacher and students. Also there were unnecessary pictures on the power point that could distract students focus and the colour combination was not suitable. This research aimed to develop an interactive multimedia and know its feasibility and effectiveness. This study had significance to develop an alternative instructional multimedia in an education game way so could increase students motivation and learning outcome. The design of this research was Research and Development with ADDIE model. The data of this research were obtained from validation result from media expert and instructional expert, students response at small scale test, post test result and students response at large scale test. The score of validation result for the media expert was 96 categorized as very feasible and for the instructional expert was 62 categorized as feasible. Small scale test result showed that students gave very good response with 69.97 score. Students post test gave effective result with classical completeness 61.76% and very good response with 68.5 score. It can be concluded that the elements periodic table interactive multimedia was feasible and effective to be used in learning process, and have very good response from the students as users.DOI: https://doi.org/10.24071/ijiet.2018.020101

Abstract

This study was to explore how enhance communication skill through problem posing and presentation method.  The subjects of this research were the seven grade students Junior High School, including 20 male and 14 female. This research was conducted in two cycles and each cycle consisted of four steps, they were: planning, action, observation, and reflection. This study use interview, observation, and questionnaire to measure most widely used data gathering in communication skill students, and daily test (pre-test and post-test) to measure enhance achievement the students’. The data was analyzed comparing initial and final score. If the final score is better than initial score had been enhanced. Results of this study indicated that teaching and learning science used problem posing and presentation method can enhance ability communication skill, confidence, courage and responsibility on themselves disciples. Researcher is suggestion to use another method to enhance communication skill.

Abstract

Integrating ICT (Information and Communications Technology) in the learning process is a necessity for a teacher in welcoming the 21st century. Knowledge and modern technology require teachers to learn how to use the technology in their teaching. Edmodo application is a very useful technology product in the learning process. Successful use of Edmodo applications in learning is influenced by: (1) teacher factors that include education, length of teaching, age, gender, frequent training, openness of teachers in accessing information, teaching places (city or village), and participation in the organization teachers and pedagogic competencies of educators in delivering materials, (2) facilities and infrastructure factors: building, room, hardware, software, internet connection, infrastructure to school, and instruction on using Edmodo application (3) learner factors that include motivation, courage to explore using Edmodo, and frequency of use of Edmodo app.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to design assessment instrument to evaluate science generic skill (SGS) achievement and chemistry literacy in ethnoscience-integrated chemistry learning. The steps of tool designing refers to Plomp models including 1) Investigation Phase (Prelimenary Investigation); 2) Designing Phase (Design);  3) Construction/Realization Phase (Realization/Construction) ; 4) Test, Evaluation and Revision Phase. (Test, Evaluation and Revision).  To test the validity of assessment instrument, it was used content validity by three experts as validators, while to test the practical, it was used questionnaire which were given to 22 college students of food ingredients chemistry that is integrated of ethno-science and two supporting lecturers. The result of content validity showed that assessment tool which was developed was valid stated by experts with the reliability coefficient was 0,72. Every lecturers and 21 students gave positive response, so it can be concluded that developed assessment instrument was practice to use.

Abstract

Penicillin G acylase (PGA) which catalyses penicillin G hydrolysis reaction is a key enzyme for the industrial production of penicilin G derivatives used in therapeutics. A new local strain of Bacillus subtilis BAC4 was found capable of producing extracellular PGA. However, characteristics of this extracellular PGA are not known. The goal of this research was to characterize the extracellular PGA produced by B. subtilis BAC4. Enzyme production was carried out by batch fermentation, followed by enzyme purification and characterization of the PGA. The PGA activity was determined by the Kornfeld method, with optimal activity for hydrolysing penicillin G observed at 43 oC and pH 8.5. The activation energy of penicillin G hydrolysis by the PGA of B. subtilis BAC4 was determined as 4.9 kcal.mol-1 and Vmax and Km values were found to be 0.7 µmole.min-1.mg-1 and 3.5 mM respectively. PGA catalytic activity was competitively inhibited by phenylacetic acid with an inhibition constant, Ki(PAA) , of 347.2 mM. It was concluded that the extracellular PGA of B. subtilis BAC4 can hydrolyse penicillin G efficiently. Key words: PGA, extracellular, Bacillus, local
