Abstract

The main contributor to cardiovascular disease is atherosclerosis. The Liver X Receptor is one of the unexplored signaling pathways in atherosclerosis that contributes to cholesterol efflux and inhibitory inflammation (LXR). Catechin, as an LXR agonist, influences the expression of the NPC1L1 protein transporter, which inhibits cholesterol absorption. The objective of this study is to predict the NPC1L1 inhibitor of Catechins from Green Tea. The role of NPC1L1 inhibitors is to prevent atherogenesis. Molecular docking is the research method used. Pyrx's Open Babel was used for analysis. Autodock vina in Pyrx was employed for docking, and Chimera v1.8 was administered for visualization. The result of molecular interaction was assigned. Pose view was used in this study. Catechins have the potential to be an NPC1L1 inhibitor, according to the findings. The main parameters used to predict the biological effect were energy bonds, hydrogen bonds, and hydrophobic interactions of molecules with NPC1L1. All Catechins isolates had low affinity energy and a strong affinity for NPC1L1. Epigallocatechin gallate (EGCG) is the most effective inhibitor because it has the lowest binding energy and the most active sites, including Gln 200, Tyr 192, Trp 202, Cys 189, Gly 207, Asp 217, Gly 190, Phe 205, Asp 208. There are hydrogen bonds at Thr 219, Ile 218, Asn 204, Asn 211, Arg 201, and Asn 204. The interaction energy between NPC1L1 and EGCG is -7.5 kCal/mol. Based on the results of the in-silico analysis, the researchers concluded that Catechins have the potential to be an NPC1L1 inhibitor. Further research into molecular dynamic simulation and in vivo analysis is required to demonstrate the synergistic effect of Catechins as an inhibitor of atherogenesis.

Abstract

This research aims to determine and describe the influence of the reciprocal teaching model on the ability to write explanatory texts. This research employed a pre-experimental using a one-group pretest-posttest design. The population was all the seventh-grade students of Madrasah Tsanawiyah Negeri 1 Ogan Komering Ilir. The sample in this research was one class, VIIC, with 30 students. The data collection technique used was a performance test written in explanatory text. Before receiving instruction using the reciprocal teaching model, the test results showed a score of 64.93 for the ability to write explanatory text. After learning to listen through the reciprocal teaching model, the score increased to 79.10. The data shows the average test results for the ability to write explanatory texts before being taught using the reciprocal teaching model and after being taught to listen using a higher reciprocal teaching model, namely 79.10>64.93. Based on the analysis results, it shows that t-test 8.357 > t-table 1.699 with a validity degree of 29 (df 29) with a significance probability below <0.05. The results mean that H0 is rejected, and Ha is accepted.

Abstract

The rapid development of technology in Indonesia has significantly increased consumer demand for electronic devices, particularly iPhones, including those traded in the second-hand market. This phenomenon has encouraged the growth of second-hand iPhone trading activities conducted by business actors in Tenggarong City. However, in practice, various legal issues have arisen that are detrimental to consumers, particularly in the form of breach of contract resulting from the failure of business actors to fulfill their legal obligations. This study aims to analyze the forms of breach of contract in second-hand iPhone sale and purchase transactions, as well as the legal consequences for business actors who fail to apply the principle of good faith. The research employs a socio-legal approach using both normative and empirical methods. The findings indicate that business actors do not comply with their obligations as stipulated in Law Number 8 of 1999 on Consumer Protection, particularly Article 7 letter (a), which mandates business actors to act in good faith in conducting their business activities. Such violations are manifested in the failure to provide accurate, clear, and honest information regarding the condition of the second-hand iPhones sold, the failure to honor promises related to warranties or replacement of goods, and the avoidance of responsibility in addressing consumer complaints. Consequently, business actors may be held legally liable for breach of contract and violations of consumer protection laws, resulting in obligations to provide compensation and fulfill consumers’ rights in accordance with applicable laws and regulations. Keywords: Breach of Contract; Good Faith; Consumer Protection; Second-Hand iPhone Transactions

Abstract

Healthcare is a constitutional right guaranteed by the 1945 Constitution of the Republic of Indonesia and various regulations in the field of health and social security. This study aims to analyze the legal accountability of hospitals in fulfilling the rights of participants in the National Health Insurance (JKN) program, with a case study at the Abdoel Wahab Sjahranie Regional General Hospital in Samarinda. This study uses a socio-legal approach with qualitative methods, which examines the relationship between health service regulations, administrative service practices, and the legal accountability mechanisms of hospitals in providing services to JKN participants. The results show that although hospitals have made efforts to fulfill their legal obligations and service standards, there are still gaps between legal norms and service practices, particularly in relation to administrative issues, infrastructure limitations, and handling complaints from JKN patients. The legal accountability of hospitals in practice is mostly manifested through administrative mechanisms and a tiered complaint system, but this does not fully guarantee the optimal protection of patient rights. This study emphasizes that strengthening human resource capacity, integrating service information systems, and effective regulatory oversight are important prerequisites for improving the legal accountability of hospitals and realizing fair, non-discriminatory, and sustainable health services. This study contributes to revealing the gaps in the implementation of hospitals' legal obligations in the JKN system and provides an evaluative basis for strengthening the protection of health insurance participants' rights. Keywords: health services; national health insurance; legal accountability; patient rights

Abstract

This study seeks to examine the application of the actio pauliana lawsuit concerning the transfer of assets by bankrupt debtors, with a particular focus on Supreme Court Decision Number 26 PK/Pdt.SusBankruptcy/2020. This decision serves as a representation of the legal protection mechanism for creditors within the bankruptcy process. The research employs a normative juridical method, concentrating on the analysis of written legal norms pertinent to the annulment of the debtor's legal actions. The approach includes a statutory analysis to assess the alignment of the decision with Article 1341 of the Civil Code and Article 41 of Law Number 37 of 2004 on Bankruptcy and Suspension of Debt Payment Obligations. Data sources comprise primary data, including laws and regulations, court decisions, and bankruptcy legal documents, while secondary data is derived from literature, scientific journals, academic articles, and expert legal opinions. The findings indicate that in Supreme Court Decision Number 26 PK/Pdt.Sus-Bankruptcy/2020, the debtor's asset transfer was declared null and void as it satisfied all elements of actio pauliana. These elements include the execution of legal actions during the debtor's insolvency, resulting in creditor losses, absence of legal obligations, and lack of good faith by both the debtor and the asset recipient. Consequently, the transferred assets are reinstated to the bankruptcy estate as a means of restoring creditor rights in the debt settlement process. This research affirms that actio pauliana is a crucial instrument in ensuring legal protection for creditors and plays a strategic role in upholding proportional justice, legal certainty, and the integrity of the bankruptcy process in Indonesia.

Abstract

This study examines the impact of digital transformation on brand loyalty in emerging markets, where digital adoption is expanding but remains uneven across consumer segments. The research aims to analyze whether digital transformation initiatives contribute to stronger brand loyalty by enhancing consumer experiences and long-term engagement. A quantitative research design is employed using a cross-sectional survey of consumers who interact with brands implementing digital platforms, mobile applications, and online engagement tools. Data are collected through a structured questionnaire and analyzed using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) to test the proposed relationship. The results indicate that digital transformation has a positive and statistically significant effect on brand loyalty, demonstrating that higher levels of perceived digital integration and responsiveness are associated with stronger consumer commitment and repeat purchase intentions. The findings highlight that digital transformation functions not only as an operational improvement but also as a strategic instrument for strengthening brand–consumer relationships. This study provides practical insights for firms in emerging markets to position digital transformation as a core branding strategy and contributes empirically to the limited literature on digital transformation and brand loyalty within emerging market contexts.
