Abstract

The rapid growth of the digital economy in Indonesia has shifted the transaction paradigm from conventional to e-commerce platforms , which brings new challenges to the national tax system. This article aims to analyze the advantages and disadvantages of implementing e-commerce taxes and Income Tax (PPh) on Indonesia's economic stability and their impact on the welfare of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs). Through a systematic literature review and descriptive analysis, this study found that imposing taxes on the digital sector can create a fair competition ( level playing field ) between online and offline businesses and significantly increase state revenue. However, on the other hand, administrative burdens and the potential for reduced competitiveness are major challenges for MSMEs still in the economic recovery phase. The study concludes that although tax policies are necessary for fiscal sustainability, the government needs to implement progressive tariff policies and simplify the tax bureaucracy to maintain a balance between state revenue targets and the sustainability of MSMEs as the backbone of the national economy.

Abstract

The Cu2ZnSnS4 (CZTS) thin film is an alternative semiconductor material as a light absorbing layer in solar cells. The advantages of CZTS as a light absorbing layer are the availability of abundant materials in nature and high absorption coefficient values. The absorbent layer was prepared using the sol-gel and spin coating method on an indium tin oxide (ITO) glass substrate. Films were made with a sol-gel solution with varying concentrations of sulfur solution, namely with a concentration of 3M and 6M using a simple spin coating tool which was rotated for 30 seconds. The film formed was hardened at 550°C for 60 minutes under N2 gas. The results of X-ray diffraction analysis showed that the CZTS thin films formed from the two samples had a kesterite crystal structure with a small percentage. Samples with a sulfur solution concentration of 6M had a higher percentage of crystals with a percentage of 13.26% with a film thickness of 3.73-4.73 μm, while the sulfur solution concentration of 3M has a percentage of 7.54%. The CZTS thin film sample with 6M sulfur concentration has a bandgap energy of 1.88 eV and the absorption coefficient value obtained is 5 x 103cm-1 which is the best result.  In conclusion, the spin coating method has the potential to be used to produce kesterite ZCTS under relatively high concentrations of sulfur solution.

Abstract

The growing number of industries in Indonesia causes industrial waste to increase. Substances with upleasant smell from industrial waste can pollute the environment. Currently, not many people process and utilize industrial waste in the form of sludge left over from the WWTP process. The biofilter method will be very effective in handling air pollution because it has several advantages, among them are an easy and simple process, low investment and operational costs, and a relatively long operational time. The study began with the manufacture of incubation equipment and biofilter columns, testing the feasibility of the biofilter and incubation column, selecting fillers based on the results of a literature review, sampling fillers, preparing fillers, preparing samples of ice cream waste sludge from the ice cream industry in the Jababeka area, followed by analysis proximate sludge, analysis of ammonia gas in sludge with various variations of sludge weight and time, biofiltration process using coconut shell charcoal in order to obtain optimal variations in coconut shell charcoal size, then biofiltration using coconut shell charcoal briquettes with added zeolite content variations to determine the most effective filler material to remove odors. The results show that coconut shell charcoal with a particle size of 100 mesh is the most optimal biofilter filler for removing ammonia gas with an efficiency of 75% compared to a particle size of 20 mesh and 60 mesh which has an ammonia gas removal efficiency of 64% and 68%. Biofilter IV has the highest efficiency in removing ammonia gas, which is 90%.

Abstract

Abstract

In this study, zeolite was synthesized from kaolin which was founded from Bangka Belitung as the starting material. Meanwhile, sodium silicate was used as silica source. Zeolite is material with many benefits, such as become an adsorbent. Kaolin has been used as starting material due to high content of silica and alumina, i.e 35 - 50 %. Zeolite was prepared by hydrothermal synthesis process, by mixing the metakaolin which was produced by calcination of kaolin at 700 °C for 6 hours, with sodium silicate and NaOH. The NaOH was used to activate the major components of Si and Al in the kaolin. The hydrothermal process was conducted at 100 °C for 24 hours with various concentrations of NaOH, i.e 1.5 N and 2.5 N. The NaOH concentration might determine the type of zeolite obtained. To improve the nature as adsorbent, zeolites modified into zeolit/TiO2. The addition of TiO2into the prepared zeolit aimed to produce a material with capability as adsorbent-photocatalyst. The result of research found that the addition of NaOH 1.5 N produced zeolite NaP1. Meanwhile, the addition of NaOH 2.5 N produced the NaP1 zeolite, zeolite X, and faujasite. The composite of zeolit/TiO2has ability on adsorption-photocatalytic as it was proven by methylene blue degradation under ultraviolet light.
