Abstract

ABSTRAK             Salah satu cara yang dilakukan dalam kegiatan budidaya intensif pada lahan terbatas adalah penggunan sistem resirkulasi dengan jenis filter tertentu. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendapatkan jenis filter anorganik terbaik dalam budi daya sistem resirkulasi. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada bulan Mei hingga Agustus 2019. Bahan yang digunakan yaitu ikan selais berukuran panjang 6,8-7,8 cm dan bobot 1,07-2,36 g dan pakan ikan berupa pellet komersil PF 800. Ikan dipelihara dalam akuarium berukuran 60x40x40 cm dan volume air 60 liter. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode eksperimen dengan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) satu faktor yaitu jenis filter dan lima taraf perlakuan (jenis filter), yaitu dacron, bioball, kerikil, arang dan zeolit. Parameter yang diukur adalah pertumbuhan bobot mutlak, pertumbuhan panjang mutlak, laju pertumbuhan harian, dan tingkat kelulushidupan.Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan jenis filter yang berbeda dalam sitem resirkulasi berpengaruh terhadap pertumbuhan dan kelulushidupan ikan selais (O. hypopthalmus). Perlakuan dengan nilai parameter pertumbuhan tertinggi dan tingkat stress terendah adalah filter bioball, yaitu pertumbuhan bobot mutlak sebesar 6,22 g; pertumbuhan panjang mutlak sebesar 4,52 cm; laju pertumbuhan harian sebesar 2,54%; dan kelulushidupan 98,33%. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa penggunaan filter bioball dalam sistem resirkulasi pemeliharaan ikan selais (O. hypopthalmus) memberikan hasil terbaik dalam pertumbuhan ikan dan tingkat kelulushidupan. Kata kunci : Jenis filter, resirkulasi, Pertumbuhan, Ompok hypopthalmus

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk Menganalisis kondisi ketersediaan sumber air baku, kondisi UPTD Air Minum dan kebijakan pemerintah daerah untuk memenuhi kebutuhan air bersih masyarakatnya serta kebijakan dan strategi pemanfaatan sumber air di Kabupaten Siak untuk pengembangan UPTD Air Minum Kabupaten Siak. Lokasi penelitian berada di Kabupaten Siak, Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode survey. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah Kondisi sumber air baku di kabupaten jumlahnya banyak namun kualitas airnya yang kurang baik. Belum adanya kebijakan berwawasan lingkungan. Permasalahan jarak, luas wilayah, sebaran penduduk, topografi, dan sumber listrik berakibat pada tingginya biaya perpipaan dan pemasangan aksesoris. Cakupan pelayanan UPTD Air Minum masih kecil dan Pendanaan juga masih bergantung kepada pemerintah daerah. Kelembagaan masih berbentuk UPTD. Dilihat dari aspek Oprasional, UPTD Air Minum Kabupaten Siak belum optimal. Aspek sumber daya manusia sudah baik. Aspek strategi menunjukan masyarakat merupakan prioritas utama dalam strategi pengembangan, setelah itu baru aspek lingkungan dan pemerintah yang menjadi prioritas kedua dan ketiga. Alternatif strategi yang bisa dilakukan adalah dengan meningkatkan infrastruktur, inovasi teknologi, Kerjasama dengan masyarakat dan pihak swasta, peningkatan pendanaan, Peningkatan kualitas kelembagaan, Pemnafaatan air permukaan, Penerapan perda tentang air minum

Abstract

Koto Pangean village has an area of 15 ha, the topography of the area is flat and hilly land with a high of 300 m up to from marine water surface. Type of soil type is black on the top layer and yellow on the bottom layer. Width of the waters of Koto Pangean Village is 2,003.25 ha, has been used for fisheries activities ranging from 2.50 ha in lakes, 1.8 ha swamps, rivers of 180 ha and 10 ha for a fishpond. Several kinds of fish are reared in this village such as African catfish (Clarias batrachus), tilapia (Oreochromis niloticus) and carp (Cyprinus carpio). The main problems faced by fish farmers in this village are: the occurrence of fish deaths caused by decreasing of water quality, accumulation of organic matter, the number of fish attacked by disease and increasing number of pathogenic microorganisms that attack fish, and high commercial fishmeal prices which results in high operational costs for fish farming. To overcome these problems, knowledge innovations are carried out to farmer groups by conducting counselling about; 1. the use of probiotics to improve the soil quality and pond water, 2. Method to prevent fish from disease attacks, 3. how to make pellets by utilizing local ingredients of good quality. The results of the activities that have been carried out show that there is an increase in knowledge and skills of fish farmers, especially being able to increase catfish production with probiotic technology and decreasing operational costs for providing fish meal as a result of the increasing the income and welfare of fish farmer groups.

Abstract

The livelihoods of the people of Tangkerang Utara Village are; in agriculture, plantation, animal husbandry, self-employment and fisheries. In the fisheries sector, there are two groups of fish cultivators (POKDAKAN) in this kelurahan, namely; POKDAKAN Cahaya Utara Mandiri and Dolphin Farm, which conduct fish farming in soil and cement ponds and cages. The main problems faced by POKDAKAN are the limited availability of water intended for fish cultivation and the wate rquality that is not suitable for catfish growth. Throught his program of guided villages, knowledge and technology is given on the technique of applying probiotics to cultivation media to improve wate rquality and minimize water use. The method used in the community service activities of the Assisted Village is the method of lecturing, discussion and direct practice in the pools owned by POKDAKAN members. The results of the evaluation of 23 extension participants showed that 20 people (86.96%) had never known about the application of probiotics in cultivation media, while 2 people (8.70%) had known about the application of probiotics and 1 person (4.34%) had apply it to catfish farming ponds. After participating in this training activity, there was an increase in knowledge about the application of this probiotic by 69.57%. Meanwhile, 22 participants understood the dosage and frequency of feeding, and all participants had already known the criteria for healthy fish seeds. The partners' assessments of the implementation of this activity are: 52.17 strongly agree that this probiotic application can be done independently; 52.17% strongly agree that probiotic applications can improve water quality; 60.87% strongly agreed that it could be an alternative livelihood; 65.22% strongly agree to speed up the maintenance period.

Abstract

The study was conducted from January to July 2018 in four sub-districts (Bunga Raya, Sabak Auh, Sungai Apit and Sungai Mandau) in Siak Regency. The sample of farmers in this study were 203 people who were selected by purposive sampling. Data collection was done by interviewing techniques using questionnaires and field observations. The analysis of the sustainability of lowland rice farming was carried out based on the assessment of index and sustainability status using the Rap-Rice method in Multi-Dimensional Scaling (MDS). The purpose of this study was to analyze the index and the status of sustainability of the socio-cultural dimensions of wetland farming and analyze the role of each of the socio-cultural attributes that have sensitivity to the management of rice farming in the future. The results of Rap-Rice analysis of the seven socio-cultural attributes analyzed, two attributes provide sensitivity to the District (Bunga Raya, Sabak Auh and Sungai Mandau). Four attributes give sensitivity to Sungai Apit District. The attribute that gives sensitivity to all sub-districts is the attribute of attending training / counseling. Based on socio-cultural conditions, the analysis of wetland rice farming in Siak District showed a fairly sustainable category for Bunga Raya District (56.7%), Sabak Auh (50.80%) and Sungai Mandau (51.10%) while for Sungai Apit Subdistrict the value was obtained (47.70%) or less sustainable .

Abstract

Hormon tiroksin (T4) mampu membantu mengatur proses metabolisme dan memacu laju pertumbuhan pada ikan. Fotoperiod menjadi salah satu solusi dalam memecah permasalahan pertumbuhan pada ikan nocturnal. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mencari dosis hormon Tiroksin (T4) yang efektif untuk meningkatkan pertumbuhan ikan baung (Mystus nemurus) yang dipelihara dengan manipulasi fotoperiod. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode eksperimen dengan Rancangan Acak Faktorial menggunakan dua faktor dan tiga kali ulangan. Dosis hormon yang diberikan adalah 0, 2, 4 dan 6 mg/kgpakan dengan lama  pencahayaan 0, 12 dan 24 jam/hari. Jenis ikan yang digunakan adalah benih ikan baung berukuran 5,7 cm, berumur 60 hari. Ikan dipelihara dalam keramba yang ditempatkan pada bak kayu dilapisi terpal, berukuran 40 x 60 x 30 cm dengan padat tebar 14 ekor/keramba. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Interaksi antara lama penyinaran dan dosis tiroksin (0 jam/hari dan 6 mg/kg pakan) berpengaruh nyata terhadap retensi lemak (91,68±6,54 %) dan glikogen hati (3,27±0,26 µg/mg). Lama penyinaran (0 jam/hari) berpengaruh nyata terhadap pertambahan panjang mutlak (4,30±1,95 cm), pertumbuhan bobot mutlak (4,87±0,44 g), laju pertumbuhan harian (2,22±0,11 %), kelulushidupan (98,21±3,57 %), rasio konversi pakan (1,71±0,07), retensi protein (19,29±2,41 %), retensi lemak (77,71±10,09 %), glikogen otot (4,36±0,38 µg/mg) dan glikogen hati (2,46±0,91 µg/mg). Dosis hormon tiroksin (6 mg/kg pakan) berpengaruh nyata terhadap pertambahan panjang mutlak (4,41±0,13 cm), pertumbuhan bobot mutlak (4,93±0,45 g), laju pertumbuhan harian (2,24±0,11 %), kelulushidupan (97,62±2,38 %), retensi protein (20,28±1,27 %), glikogen otot (4,39±0,36 µg/mg) dan glikogen hati (2,43±0,73 µg/mg).Kata kunci : Hormon tiroksin, photoperiod, pertumbuhan, Mystus nemurus.

Abstract

This research was conducted in January-July 2021 at the Marine Science Technology Biology Laboratory, Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Sciences, Universitas Riau. The purpose of the study was to see the effect of a combination dose of vitamin C and thyroxine hormone (T4) on the growth rate and survival of bream reared in a recirculation system. The method used was an experimental method using a factorial complete randomized design (CRD) with 2 factors and 3 replicates. The first factor is vitamin C, while the second factor is the dose of tyrrhosine hormone (T4) given during maintenance. The doses of vitamin C used in this study were; 0 mg/kg (V0), 500 mg/kg (V1), 1000 mg/kg (V2). Doses of thyroxine hormone (T4) used were doses; 0 mg/kg (H0), 4 mg/kg (H1), 6 mg/kg (H2), 8 mg/kg (H3).  The Asian redtail catfish used were 8-10 cm in size and reared in a round container made of PE plastic with a diameter of 56 cm and a height of 48 cm, totaling 36 units. The pellets used were Hi-Provite 781-2 with 31% protein, with feeding done 3 times a day ad satation. The results showed that the addition of vitamin C and thyroxine hormone influenced the growth of Asian redtail catfish reared in the recirculation system. The combination of vitamin C 1000 mg/kg and thyroxine hormone 8 mg/kg feed gives the highest growth and survival, seen from the absolute weight growth rate of 12.97 g, specific growth rate of 1.93 g/day, and 95% survival. Water quality during rearing was favorable for the growth of Asian redtail catfish, with temperature ranging from 28-30oC, pH 6.5-7.0, and DO 4.2-5.95 ppm.

Abstract

Striped catfish is a prevalent fish and is in great demand. Striped catfish cultivation generally uses fresh water as a living medium, but several freshwater fish commodities are starting to be developed to adapt to saline media. Harvesting striped catfish usually takes approximately 3 - 8 months. To overcome this, one way is to use growth hormone. The growth hormone currently used is Recombinant Growth Hormone (rGH). GH administration has been reported to have various effects, particularly on protein metabolism. In fish digestion, protein from feed cannot be directly absorbed but is first broken down by protease enzymes into amino acids. The physical appearance, which is the phenotype of an organism, is the result of metabolic processes in each cell that makes up the organism. This research aimed to analyze the effect of administering the rGH hormone on protease enzyme activity, RNA/DNA ratio, and growth of striped catfish maintained in saline media. The method used was experimental in the form of a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with four treatments and three replications. Based on the results obtained during the research, it shows that Protease Enzyme Activity (U/minute) and the best RNA/DNA Ratio use a dose of 3 mg/kg with respective values ​​of 0.75±0.24 U/minute and3.30±0.49.
