Abstract

Palm oil is a key product with a significant market share, crucial for the Indonesian economy. Indonesia is currently the world's largest CPO producer. Crude palm oil (CPO) and palm kernel oil (PK) offer numerous benefits. Ptpn Iv Dolok Sinumbah. Palm oil is one of the main products that has a market share, this is very important for the Indonesian economy. Indonesia is currently the largest CPO producer in the world. The benefits of crude palm oil (CPO) and palm kernel oil (PK) are numerous. CPO is widely used as industrial raw materials such as butter, soap, cosmetics, textiles, biodiesel and others. The data obtained from observations during the practical work are: The capacity of PKS PTPN IV DOLOK SINUMBAH is 30 tons / hour and processes Fresh Fruit Bunches (FFB) into Crude Palm Oil (CPO) and Palm Kernel. In the practical work that we have studied, especially at the thresher station 2 hoist cranes are used in each processing, each with a capacity of 5 tons. The thresher rpm speed from the data we obtained is at rpm 22-23 rpm, so that the loose fruit can be separated from the bunch.

Abstract

Onan Lama Village has abundant natural resources in the form of sugar palm (aren), yet its utilization remains limited to traditional products with relatively low added value. The main problems faced by the community include a lack of knowledge regarding product diversification and limited processing technology, particularly in the peeling process, which is still carried out manually, making it inefficient and time-consuming. This Community Service Program aims to improve community knowledge and skills through counseling on sugar palm product diversification and the application of a modern sugar palm peeling machine. The methods employed in this program include socialization, training on machine operation, and direct assistance to community groups. The activities were also complemented by demonstrations of processing sugar palm into various value-added products, such as palm sugar, kolang-kaling, and other derivative products. The results indicate an increase in community understanding of the potential for sugar palm product diversification, as well as improved work efficiency through the use of a modern peeling machine, which accelerates the processing time and reduces labor intensity. This program is expected to enable the community of Onan Lama Village to develop sugar palm-based enterprises more optimally, increase the economic value of their products, and promote community economic independence. Furthermore, the implementation of this appropriate technology is expected to be sustainable and serve as a development model for other regions with similar potential.

Abstract

Cooperatives play a strategic role as one of the pillars of the community economy in improving the welfare of their members. However, the performance of cooperative management is often not optimal due to limitations in human resource (HR) management. This Community Service activity aims to improve the performance of the management of Koperasi Ramot Berjaya through the implementation of effective human resource management practices. The methods used include socialization, training, and mentoring related to HR planning, task division, competency development, and performance evaluation. The activities were carried out in a participatory manner involving all cooperative management members. The results show an increase in the management’s understanding of HR management concepts, improvements in work systems, and enhanced effectiveness and productivity in carrying out their duties. In addition, the management has begun to implement clearer job descriptions and conduct regular performance evaluations. Therefore, the application of proper HR management has proven to be effective in sustainably improving the performance of cooperative management. This activity is expected to serve as a model for other cooperatives in optimizing HR management to enhance organizational competitiveness.
