Abstract

Abstract

Early marriage causes problems, both from an educational and socio-cultural perspective and in the Marriage Law. Regarding the age limit for marriage, the Marriage Law refers to Article 7 paragraph 1 of 1974 which was later revised and became the Marriage Law Number 16 of 2019. Developmental theory explains that the adult phase is when individuals try to fulfill the most important social needs, namely having a romantic partner, husband or wife. However, at the age of 16-19 years, individuals are still in a stage of development that is not fully mature, both physically and mentally. The formulation of the problem raised in this study is; (1) The sociological impact of early marriage, (2) What preventive efforts can be made to overcome early marriage in Semarang City? The results of the study show that early marriage is caused by several factors including economic, socio-cultural and educational factors. This study also produces preventive efforts that can be made to overcome these problems. The problems of early marriage in Semarang City require preventive efforts to overcome them

Abstract

PAUD teachers have duties and responsibilities as well as altruistic social motivations in educating early childhood, which are not commensurate with the income they earn. This study aims to determine the effect of income level and social altruistic motivation of teachers on teaching performance in PAUD Tawangmangu District. The approach was quantitative, with a multiple linear regression method involving PAUD teachers selected through purposive sampling. Data collection was conducted using a Likert scale questionnaire that was tested for validity and reliability. The F-test results showed that income and altruistic social motivation significantly affected teaching performance (F = 11.763; sig. = 0.000). However, the t-test shows that only altruistic social motivation significantly affects teaching performance (t = 3.899; sig. = 0.000), while the level of teacher income has no significant effect (t = 1.104; sig. = 0.275). The adjusted R-squared value of 0.289 indicates that these two variables can explain 28.9% of the variation in teaching performance. This finding suggests that psychological aspects, particularly altruistic social motivations such as empathy, caring, and moral commitment, play a more critical role than economic factors in influencing ECD teachers' teaching effectiveness.

Abstract

Integrative Holistic Early Childhood Education (PAUD HI) is a development for early childhood that aims to meet the essential needs of children. The PAUD HI program has been implemented in many PAUD institutions in Indonesia. However, its implementation still faces various obstacles, and it is necessary to measure the role of stakeholders so that it can project the sustainability of PAUD HI in the TTS Regency. This study aims to compare the implementation of PAUD HI services, link the role of stakeholders in the implementation of PAUD HI, and project the program's sustainability after mentoring. The research method uses a mixed-method approach. The population in this study was 40 UNICEF-assisted Holistic Integrative PAUD institutions. Using purposive sampling techniques, samples were taken from 15 institutions, or around 50% of the population. Data collection methods used surveys, questionnaires, interviews, and documentation. Quantitative analysis was carried out descriptively, while qualitative analysis used data reduction, presentation, and conclusions. The study's results on quantitative data showed that education and welfare services achieved 100% achievement in all schools, but several indicators in health and protection services had 0% achievement. The care services showed 100% success in one indicator but low in the other three. The level of service achievement between HI PAUDs also varies, and this tends to be influenced by stakeholder support. The implications of this study indicate the importance of strengthening the capacity of local institutions and stakeholders in maintaining the program's sustainability.

Abstract

This article discusses the transformation of anti-bullying policies in elementary schools, focusing on the development of implementation and the impact of these policies on the learning environment. This study was conducted at SD Negeri 1 Mangunharjo, Tembalang, Semarang City. The study used a qualitative approach. The researchers conducted surveys and interviews with students, teachers, and parents to assess their understanding of the existing anti-bullying policies. The findings of the study indicate that although the policies have been introduced, there is still a gap between the written policies and actual implementation. Many teachers and school staff do not receive adequate training to handle bullying cases effectively. Students are often unaware of the policies and do not feel comfortable reporting them. In addition, this study found that a positive and inclusive school environment is important in reducing bullying rates. Through an analysis of the policies and practices implemented, this article suggests important steps that need to be taken to improve anti-bullying policies, including the need for teacher training, parental involvement, and strengthening the role of students in creating a culture of respect for differences. It is hoped that the findings of this study can provide references for policy makers and educators to create a safe and friendly school environment for all students.

Abstract

This research describes an ideal approach to implementing eco-literacy education in early childhood, to improve their understanding of sustainability and environmental awareness. However, the reality on the ground shows several obstacles, such as limited time, a lack of facilities and infrastructure, and a lack of readiness from preschool facilities, which cause gaps in understanding among learners. This research presents an innovation by applying food garden school activities as the main approach to eco-literacy education in early childhood. The aim is to increase their understanding of sustainability and eco-literacy, develop practical skills in interacting with the real environment, and inspire positive behavioral changes towards the environment from an early age. The method used was quantitative research with a pre-experimental design using a one-group pretest-posttest design pattern without a control group. Data analysis techniques include normality tests using Shapiro-Wilk, paired t-test to test the effect of food garden school activities, and N-Gain test to measure improvement from pretest to posttest. This study showed a significant increase in eco-literacy understanding, with the Shapiro-Wilk value increasing from 0.298 in the pretest to 0.799 in the posttest. The results of the paired t-test showed a t-value of 21.37 with a p-value of 0.001. In addition, the N-gain achieved was 0.54. This study implies that the gardening program or food garden school can be an effective tool for teachers in improving students' understanding of eco-literacy in their learning process.
