Abstract

In general, in knowing the fuel consumption of a motorcycle, motorcycle owners do this by looking at the fuel indicator on the instrument panel marked "F" meaning full, and "E" emergency. However, in the context of learning, these conditions make it difficult for students to read how much vehicle fuel consumption is viewed at each engine rotation (RPM). Referring to these conditions, the need for a fuel consumption meter is absolute. Therefore, the main objective of this research is to produce a fuel flow meter that can function properly to measure motorcycle fuel consumption so that it can be used as a support for gasoline motorbike technology lectures at the Automotive Technology Vocational Education Study Program) Universitas Bhinneka PGRI. This type of research is experimental research. The research object is the 2005 Honda Supra Fit. The standard for measuring fuel consumption is based on SNI 7554:2010 standards. Data analysis used a quantitative descriptive method. Research equipment and instruments used are a fuel meter, stopwatch, tachometer, and blower. The results of this study indicate that the fuel flow meter functions well in measuring fuel consumption. When calculated, from idle to high speed, there is an average increase in fuel consumption of 0.11 liters/hour or 41% at every RPM. This shows that the fuel flow meter can be used as a support for gasoline engine technology lectures.

Abstract

Metallic catalytic converter (MCC) is one of the technologies widely applied to motorcycle exhausts which aims to improve exhaust emission to be more environmentally friendly. However, even though many studies have been conducted, optimal design has not been achieved compared to other designs. Through this research, the Taguchi method is proposed as an alternative method to find the optimum parameters of MCC. The Taguchi method was chosen because of its ability to find a robust combination of parameters. There are four MCC parameters used as inputs while each parameter consists of three levels, thus the design used is the L18 Orthogonal Array (OA) which each combination is tested on three types of motorcycles, namely Moped, Automatic, and Sports. The signal-to-noise ratio (S/N) was adopted as one of the quality indicators of each combination. The optimization results showed that the best MCC design to reduce CO emissions is STD PGM. However, the optimum CO design can be used as an alternative because the difference in the S/N ratio is only -0.372. Meanwhile, the optimum CO design has another advantage over the STD PGM, namely the S/N value of the power ratio which tends to be higher with a difference of 5.037 compared to the STD PGM. Then, the best MCC design capable of increasing power is the optimum power design. The optimum power design has a superior S/N ratio with a difference of 5.404. In terms of emission, the optimum power design tends to be lower by a difference of -1.875 compared to the STD PGM.

Abstract

Vocational education (VE) is one of the institutions that must answer environmental problems by providing green job skills to its students. However, VE in Indonesia still experience various obstacles in providing this provision, so the aim of this research aims to analyze the extent of the level of green skills (GS) in teachers and students in this country, which includes the dimensions of cognitive, interpersonal and intrapersonal competence as an illustration for developing a priority scale for improvement. In addition, examining the differences and correlations between dimensions and the contribution of dimensions to GS as a whole is an additional goal. The survey method was carried out using a generic GS questionnaire instrument in VE that have Adiwiyata status. Data were analyzed using three stages: descriptive analysis, ANOVA-post hoc Tukey test, and path analysis. As a result, students’ GS still show a low category, while teachers get a high category. Between dimensions show no significant differences. Finally, all competencies have a significant relationship and can construct overall GS. These results indicate that there is still a need to strengthen teacher competencies in GS-based learning management and strengthen collaboration with all levels of society.

Abstract

Drill bit failure in the drilling process often occurs due to exposure to mechanical, thermal, and chemical loads during operation. Nachi HSS drill bits, as critical components in the manufacturing industry, are prone to sudden wear and breakage due to dynamic processes involving material fragmentation, friction, and increased local temperatures. This study analyses the root cause of Nachi HSS drill bit failure through fracture investigation, chemical composition, and microstructure. The analysis methods include macroscopic testing to identify fracture patterns, optical microscopy to evaluate surface deformation, and X-ray Fluorescence (XRF) testing to verify material composition. The results showed that the fault was a brittle fracture due to a mismatch in chemical composition: molybdenum (Mo) levels were not detected. At the same time, chromium (Cr) and vanadium (V) only reached 3.85% and 0.95%, 0.45% lower than factory standards. This deficiency reduces resistance to thermomechanical loads, triggering stress concentration and rapid crack propagation during the drilling of ST37 steel material at a speed of 1,800 RPM. These findings emphasize the importance of quality control of material composition and optimization of operating parameters to prevent premature failure.

Abstract

Abstrak: Perkembangan zaman membutuhkan berbagai alat yang dapat memudahkan pekerjaan. Mesin sangrai kemiri semi otomatis merupakan salah satu alat yang adapat digunakan dalam memudahkan kegiatan memasak. Mesin sangrai kemiri lebih memperhatikan kualitas kemiri yang dihasilkan dan cocok untuk dijual dengan menjaga aroma, rasa, dan tekstur dari kemiri serta efisiensi waktu dalam penyangraian kemiri. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui desain dan kinerja dari mesin sangrai kemiri semi otomatis. Desain mesin sangrai kemiri semi otomatis memiliki RPM Input sebesar 2800 dan RPM output 56 yang dilengkapi dengan mata penyangrai menggunakan batang as besi mengikuti bentuk wajan, memiliki kapasitas sebesar 3 Kg, panas berasal dari kompor gas, menggunakan gearbox reducer, pulley pada motor dan pada gearbox yang dihubungan dengan v-belt. Berdasarkan desain yang telah dibuat didapatkan hasil yaitu mesin memiliki dimensi panjang 40 cm, lebar 40 cm, dan tinggi 90 cm dengan menggunakan material besi hollow berukuran 30 mm x 30 mm dengan tebal 1,5 mm dan menggunakan plat besi 2,5 mm. Wadah pengaduk menggunakan wajan berdiameter 38 cm, pengaduk terbuat dari batang as besi dengan radius 0,19 m dengan daya mesin sebesar 190,15 watt atau 0,225Hp dengan gaya total sebesar 109N. Setelah diuji coba kinerja mesin sangrai kemiri semi otomatis berjalan dengan putaran pengaduk dengan kecepatan liniear sebesar 0,8 m/s dan kecepatan anguler sebesar 0,24 rad/s.   Kata kunci: sangrai kemiri, mesin semi otomatis, rancang bangun, teknologi tepat guna.   Abstract: The development of the times requires a variety of tools that can facilitate work. semi-automatic candlenut roasting machine is a tool that can be used to facilitate cooking activities. Candlenut roasting machines pay more attention to the quality of candlenuts produced and are suitable for sale by maintaining the, taste and texture of the candlenuts as well as time efficiency in roasting the candlenuts. This study aims to determine the design and performance of a semi-automatic candlenut roasting machine. The design of a semi- automatic candlenut roasting machine has an input RPM 2800 and an output RPM 56 which is equipped with a roaster using an iron rod following frying pan, has a capacity of 3 Kg, heat flow comes from stove, uses a gearbox, pulleys on motor and on gearbox connected to v-belt. Based on the design that has been made, the results obtained are that the machine has dimensions of length 40 cm, width 40 cm, and height 90 cm using hollow iron measuring 30 mm x 30 mm with a thickness of 1.5 mm and using a 2.5 mm iron plate. the mixing a diameter of 38 cm, the stirrer is made of an iron axle rod with a radius of 0.19 m with an engine power of 190.15 watts or 0.225Hp with a total force of 109N. After testing the performance of the semi-automatic candlenut roasting machine running with a stirrer rotation with a linear speed of 0.8 m/s and an angular speed of 0.24 rad/s.   Keywords: candlenut roasting, semi-automatic machine, design and construction, appropriate technology.

Abstract

Kerupuk udang merupakan makanan ringan yang terbuat dari tepung terigu dengan bahan udang. Ketebalan kerupuk berpengaruh dalam kerenyahan. Proses perajangan adonan kerupuk udang masih menggunakan metode perajangan satu persatu menggunakan tenaga manusia hal ini menyebabkan proses perajangan dibutuhkan waktu yang lama serta hasil perajangan memiliki ketebalan yang berbeda-beda. Oleh karena itu diperlukan sebuah alat perajang adonan kerupuk udang sehingga ketebalan adonan kerupuk udang dapat diatur sesuai yang dibutuhkan yaitu 2-3 mm, hasil perajangan dapat dipengaruhi oleh kecepatan putaran dan jumlah mata pisau. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kuantitatif dimana sampel diambil secara acak sebanyak tiga kali pengujian Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisa kapasitas hasil produksi dan efisiensi pada hasil perajangan adonan kerupuk udang berdasarkan variasi kecepatan putaran 172 Rpm, 200 Rpm, dan 272 Rpm dan jumlah mata pisau 1, 2, dan 4 pada mesin perajang adonan kerupuk udang. Berdasarkan analisis data pada penelitian ini efisiensi produksi tertinggi adalah pengirisan dengan jumlah 1 mata pisau dengan kecepatan putaran 172 rpm diangka 97,71 %, sedangkan kapasitas pengirisan tertinggi adalah variasi pengirisan 4 mata pisau dengan kecepatan 272 rpm diangka 26,5 kg/jam. Dari pengujian dan hasil analisa yang didapatkan dapat disimpulkan bahwa kecepatan dan jumlah mata pisau sangat berpengaruh pada kapasitsas efisiensi mesin yang dihasilkan

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh penggunaan variasi ukuran pasir terhadap lama proses sandblasting, serta mempelajari cara pengujian mesin sandblasting menggunkanan kompresor dengan tekanan udara 6 bar. Masalah metode predegreasing yang digunakan oleh sebagian masyarakat masih menggunakan metode pembersihan permukaan secara manual. Metode penelitian yang dipakai adalah Research and Development (R & D) dengan model Experimental Development (Pengembangan Eksperimental), Borg & Gall. Hasil yang didapatkan dari pengujian mesin sandblasting menggunakan pasir silika berukuran 80 mesh dan 100 mesh menggunkan udara bertekanan 6 bar dengaan kecepatan aliran udara sekitar 903.5 m/s, penggunaan pasir berukuran 80 mesh waktu yang dibutukan untuk membersihakan permukaan specimen adalah 15.07s, 14.89s, 15.02s. Sedangkan pada pengujian kedua dengan penggunaan pasir berukuran 100 mesh waktu yang dibutukan untuk membersihakan permukaan specimen adalah 13.13s, 13.22s, 13.10s. waktu tercepat yang diperoleh adalah 13,10s menggunakan pasir berukuran 80 mesh, dibandingkan menggunakan pasir berukuran 100 mesh dengan sama-sama menggunakan tekanan 6 bar.

Abstract

Motivasi belajar dan kedisiplinan adalah dua faktor penting yang wajib dimiliki dan dipelihara oleh seorang siswa dalam proses pembelajaran di sekolah, yang nantinya berpengaruh terhadap prestasi belajarnya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh motivasi belajar dan kedisiplinan siswa terhadap prestasi belajar pada mata pelajar produktif jurusan TKJ SMKN 1 Geger. Penelitian ini berjenis kuantitatif dengan pendekatan Explanatory Survey. Jumlah sampel sebanyak 100 siswa pada jurusan TKJ, pengambilan data motivasi belajar dan kedisiplinan menggunakan kuesioner. Data yang didapat dianalisis menggunakan analisis asumsi klasik kemudian dilanjutkan uji regresi linier berganda, uji t, uji F, dan uji koefisien determinasi (R square). Terdapat pengaruh signifikan motivasi belajar (thit 4,894>ttab 1,999, sig 0,000<0,05) dan kedisiplinan (thit 7,352>ttab 1,999, sig 0,000<0,05) terhadap prestasi belajar setelah dilakukan uji t. Kedua variabel X1 dan X2 berpengaruh secara bersama-sama (Fhitung 94,518, sig 0,000<0,05), dan kekuatan korelasi pada hasil penelitian ini sebesar 72,7%.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis hubungan latar belakang sosial ekonomi orang tua siswa jurusan teknik ototronik SMKN 1 Mejayan terhadap prestasi belajar. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian kuantitatif jenis ex-post facto untuk menganalisis pengaruh latar belakang sosial ekonomi orang tua dengan jumlah responden 74 siswa yang diambil secara random sampling. Analisi data menggunakan uji Chi-Square dan koefisien kontingensi untuk melihat hubungan dan kekuatan hubungan antara variabel pendidikan ibu (X1) dan variabel pendapatan orang tua (X2) terhadap prestasi belajar (Y). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan variabel pendidikan ibu tidak terdapat hubungan (p=0,569), terdapat hubungan pada variabel pendapatan orang tua terhadap prestasi belajar siswa (p=0,005) dengan kekuatan hubungan sebesar 0,356 (35,6%). Hasil ini membuktikan bahwa pendapatan orang tua dapat memberikan pengaruh terhadap tinggi rendahnya prestasi belajar siswa jurusan teknik ototronik SMKN 1 Mejayan
