Abstract

Geoelectric measurements and interpretation have been conducted to obtain subsurface structure information in Geothermal area of Telomoyo Mountain at Semarang regency using Schlumberger configurationWe obtain a potential difference and current from field data acquisition that can be used to calculate the apparent resistivity value. Then, the apparent resistivity value is processed using IPI2win program to determine the value of resistivity in each layer using geological information as validation. The geoelectric results showed the presence of fault structures such as normal faults down and the layers which has resistivity values at 116 Wm with a depth at 106 - 120 m from the surface of geoelectric line are interpreted as the upper boundaries of the Caprock layer. Abstract

Gabus Village at Grobogan district are areas those experiencedsevere drought in the dry season. The existence of water sources are not enough for daily needs of the family. Georesistivityis a method to discover groundwater by position of the aquifer as a water storage. The potential difference of georesistivity processed using IPI2win program to determine the value of resistivity of each layer and RockWork15 as 3D modeling. With the correlation of the results of georesistivity and geologic conditions, then we can determine the depth and thickness of groundwater aquifers. Potential aquifers discovered in the Gabus region is a sandstone free aquifer (not pressed) with a value of resistivity is 13.2 Ωm at a depth of 11 meters from the line surface georesistivity interpreted as overburden. Keywords:aquifer, geoeresistivity, schlumberger

Abstract

The geothermal hot springs has been discovered in the Kaliulo area, Pringapus district of Semarang Regency. The research was conducted by 2-D and 3-D model geomagnetic for find the geological subsurface structure. Observation data such as magnetic field of 61 point used one set of PPM (Proton Precission Magnetometer) GSM geometrics 19 T and two units Geotron Magnetometer Model Unit G5. Data analysis of geomagnet was undertaken by diurnal correction and IGRF (International Geomagnetic Reference Field) correction to obtain the total of magnetic field anomalies. The total magnetic field anomaly data were utilized to create anomaly contour. That anomaly is used for doing reduction to plansurface process, upward continuation that produce anomalies local and regional, and reduction to pole. Modeling was done on the local magnetic anomalies to review subsurface using Mag2DC and UBC Mag3D. The results showed the + (positive) closure and – (negative) closure that can indicate anomalies object in other word to be weak zone or geological structure of fault is available, so that the slicing is made on that closure. Based on the model 2-D normal fault structure the northwestsoutheast trending and northeast-southwest, this interpreting so that normal faults which controlled source hot springs Diwak to Kaliulo.

Abstract

Shallow exploration of subsurface commonly use resistivity method which the electricity principles in the earth. The aims of this research are identify slip surface and slope safety factor at Pucung Bambankerep Ngaliyan Semarang using dipole-dipole configuration. The results of measurements are voltage and electric current to calculate the apparent resistivity value then processed by RES2DIV software for determine the lithology and the slip surface area. The value of slope safety factor was 1,332 from modelling by Rockscience software. The results present that lithology in the study area consist of clay, sand, sand gravel, and breccia. There is a slip surface at a depth of between 1,20 to 6,10 m.  Keywords: slip surface, Rockscience, resistivity, dipole-dipolee

Abstract

Research of analysis subsurface structure in Harjosari Semarang district using geomagnet methods with 2D and 3D modelling. In this study, magnetic data acquisition was carried out in 93 points by using a PPM (Proton Precession Magnetometer) geometrics type of GSM 19T and 2 units geotron magnetometer G5 models to get the values of the total magnetic field. The result of measurement data is processed by the daily variation correction and IGRF correction (International Geomagnetic Reference Field). The corrected data has been used to create total magnetic anomaly contour. The total magnetic anomaly contour has been used to process reduction to plan surface. The result of reduction to plan surface has been used to create a contour upward continuation and then made reduction to the poles. The result of research showed the total magnetic anomaly closure pair of positive and negative indicated a fault zone below the surface. Result of research an incision on the closure pair of positive and negative to determine the subsurface structure of the region by creating a model of 2-dimensional (2D) using software Mag2DC. In 2D modeling result shows that was a fault zone below the surface about 210 to 1000 meters depth. The existence of the fault structure below the surface was estimated as a result of rock shifting from the northeastern area of research. Result of a 3-dimensional (3D) modelling using UBCMag3D software to determine subsurface structures more clearly by including error values, parameter values susceptibility and density models. On the results of the 3D display of subsurface structures found any difference in stark contrast to the susceptibility value at a depth of 225 meters to 1200 meters. The susceptibility value differences suspected presence of fault structures below the surface.

Abstract

Research of magnetic methods that aim to interpretation the subsurface structure around the hot springs area Diwak and Derekan and to identification caused of hot springs Diwak and Derekan has been successfully carried out. In this research, measurements were taken at 97 points using a proton precession magnetometer (PPM) type of GSM model 19T geometrics and two Geotron Magnetometer G5 models to get the value of the total magnetic field. Measurement data is processed by the daily variation correction and correction IGRF (International Geomagnetic Reference Field) to get the value of the total magnetic field anomaly. Corrected data used to create contours of the total magnetic field anomaly. Contour total magnetic field anomaly is used for the reduction to plan surface process and upward continuation process. The results of the upward continuation get the contours of local anomaly and regional anomaly, the results of the local anomaly contour then reduced to the pole. Results of the research is a pair of positive and negative closure indicate a fault structure below the surface. There are two pairs of positive and negative closure which an incision is made to determine the subsurface structure by creating a 2D model using the software Mag2dc. 2D modeling results indicate the existence of a second incision fault structure in the form of down trending fault southwest-northeast. Meanwhile, to make 3D models using software Mag3D and 3D modeling results indicate the presence of fault structures below the surface. Fault zone results of 2D and 3D modeling is a media outlet fluid to the surface in the form of hot springs Diwak and Derekan.
