Abstract

This research aims to develop a strategy for developing innovative technology-based coffee agroindustry in Kare District, Madiun Regency. The application of modern technology, such as roasting and wet processing, has proven to improve robusta coffee's quality and added value and increase competitiveness in the domestic and international markets. In addition, empowering farmers through training and technical assistance is key to improving their skills in post-harvest technology management. The research method used is mixed-method, with qualitative and quantitative approaches. Data was obtained through a survey with a Likert scale questionnaire, in-depth interviews, field observations, and documentation. SWOT analysis evaluates the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats in developing coffee agroindustry in the region. The study results show that the coffee industry in Kare District has significant strengths and opportunities, although it still faces challenges related to capital and technology limitations. The recommended strategies are product diversification, institutional capacity building, and more intensive promotion, as well as the development of coffee agro-tourism as a step to improve farmers' welfare and expand market access

Abstract

Indonesia is known to have many types of livestock and natural resources, one of which is goats. Senduro District is one of the leading goat farming centers. Indicators of the success of the livestock business include the size of the financial aspect. Goat farming business needs to be equipped or accompanied by relevant data information for financial feasibility analysis. The purpose of this study was to analyze the feasibility of the goat farming business in Senduro to determine whether the business being run is profitable or not using NPV, IRR, and BEP assessment criteria because farmers tend to trade their livestock businesses without analyzing their business feasibility. The population in this study is Senduro etawa goat farmers totaling 12 breeders. This research uses financial service analysis methods with assessment criteria, namely BEP, IRR, NPV. The NPV results of the etawa Senduro goat farming business located in Lumajang Regency, especially in Kandang Tepus Village, show that the business is feasible to run, because it produces NPV of Rp 1,617,311,892 and more than 0. The IRR result of the goat farming business in Kandang Tepus Village, Senduro District is also said to be feasible because the IRR yield is 30.15%, this result exceeds the loan interest of 15%. BEP in the goat farming business in Senduro can be said to be feasible or profitable because the average BEP unit in this business is 54 heads and the revenue of this business is IDR 2,298,050,000.

Abstract

The discourse on human trafficking and the efforts to overcome it are crucial issues that has received public attention in Indonesia and all around the globe. However, different perspectives among experts, activists and organizations gave rise to different approaches in analyzing the source of the problem, what is seen as the problem, and the intervention to solve the problem. This research focuses on community organizing of women victims of human trafficking as the approach which has been implemented to challenge oppression by Mitra Wacana Women Resource Center in Kabupaten Kulon Progo, Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta. This qualitative study is aimed to explore their perspectives on defining human trafficking and its complexities, their analysis of its causes and the intervention method. The theory of anti-oppressive is applied to analyze the data and findings within this research, which results in three main points; first, Mitra Wacana’s critical awareness raises a comprehensive perspective on the complexity of the human trafficking issue by identifying the community as victims of a discriminatory and exploitative system. Second, organizing ex-migrant workers in Pusat Pembelajaran Perempuan dan Anak/P3A (Learning Center for Women and Children) is applied as the approach to strengthen rights-based capacity for the Kulon Progo community. Third, an integrated approach against oppression within human trafficking tried to synergize three levels of personal, cultural and structural approach. In the case of human trafficking in Kulon Progo, the integrated approach consists of public education, information development, and policy advocacy on humanity issues by involving the organization of ex-migrant workers.

Abstract

Integrating environmental education and increasing competency through the development program of educational ecosystem models and biodiversity education and learning ecosystems can effectively enrich materials and practices to increase students' knowledge, understanding, and skills. The embodiment of the Sensory Garden and Therapeutic Garden prototypes as natural laboratories and libraries will be an effective and adaptive way of developing competency[1]based education and learning models as well as the interests and talents of students.

Abstract

The complexity of urban livestock poultry issues, such as higher demand for eggs than supply, rising feed prices, densely populated locations with limited land, several members leaving the community, and the suboptimal use of technology, can have an impact on the sustainability of poultry. This study aims to evaluate the sustainability status of Gallus gallus domesticus poultry at the JKF Community based on ecological, economic, social, technological, and institutional dimensions. The analytical method used is Multi-Dimensional Scaling (MDS) through the Rapid Appraisal of the Status of Poultry (Rap-Poultry) approach. The analysis results show that the ecological dimension has a sustainability score of 72.28, the economic dimension 51.78, the social dimension 69.60, the technological dimension 51.03, and the institutional dimension 78.21. The overall sustainability score of Gallus gallus domesticus poultry is 64.97. The sustainability status of Gallus gallus domesticus poultry in the JKF Community is categorized as moderately sustainable, with the ecological, economic, social, and technological dimensions also considered moderately sustainable. In contrast, the institutional dimension is classified as highly sustainable.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan memahami dinamika percaloan buruh migran dari desa dan upaya organisasi berbasis komunitas (OBK) Amanah dalam memutus mata rantai percaloan yang diidentifikasi sangat rentan dengan human trafficking dan merugikan buruh migran. Sejak tahun 2011, Kabupaten Cilacap mengkampanyekan migrasi aman dengan membentuk organisasi berbasis komunitas untuk memutus rantai percaloan dari desa buruh migran berasal. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi kasus, pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Hasil studi ini menunjukkan bahwa Percaloan di Cilacap, khususnya di Desa Danasri mengalami fase-fase yang signifikan yaitu sebelum pembentukan OBK, kampanye migrasi aman oleh OBK, serta lahirnya Peraturan Daerah Perlindungan Tenaga Kerja Indonesia (TKI). Sebelum pembentukan OBK, percaloan banyak melibatkan tindakan kriminal seperti pemalsuan dokumen demi bisa memberangkatkan buruh migran ke luar negeri. Rekruitmen oleh calo memiliki langkah-langkah omong omong, iming-iming dan amang-amang. Pasca pembentukan OBK dan kampanye migrasi aman, jumlah percaloan buruh migran mengalami penurunan dengan berkurangnya jumlah calo. Hingga pada akhirnya Kabupaten Cilacap memiliki Perda Perlindungan TKI, meskipun belum mampu menghilangkan percaloan di Cilacap secara menyeluruh. Dalam memutus rantai percaloan, OBK Amanah menerapkan pendekatan terintegrasi meliputi: (1) edukasi, (2) peran teknis pengorganisasian, (3) meningkatkan daya tawar, (4) jejaring, (5) advokasi dan (6) medium. Abstract

Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta (DIY) merupakan salah satu provinsi di Indonesia yang menjalankan sistem pemerintahan dibawah kebijakan otonomi daerah. Paniradya Kaistimewan yang dipimpin oleh Paniradya Pati bertanggung jawab kepada Gubernur dan Wakil Gubernur sebagai Penyusun Kebijakan Urusan Keistimewaan DIY. Paniradya Kaistimewan sebagai pelaku komunikasi politik bertugas memberikan informasi kepada masyarakat bahwa pengambilan kebijakan urusan Keistimewaan DIY dilakukan dengan proses yang terstruktur. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk memahami pola komunikasi yang dilakukan di tingkat lokal khususnya yang berkaitan dengan distribusi sumber daya yang mana hal tersebut memengaruhi proses pembuatan kebijakan. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi kasus di Kalurahan Salamrejo, Kapanewon Sentolo Kabupaten Kulon Progo. Hasil penelitian menemukan bahwa komunikasi antara Pemerintah Kalurahan Salamrejo dan Pemerintah Daerah Daerah istimewa Yogyakarta (Pemda DIY) sudah berjalan cukup baik. Akan tetapi hambatan justru muncul dari komunikasi di tingkat internal kalurahan karena keterbatasan sumber daya manusia (SDM). Sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa hasil penelitian ini menjadi bahan masukan untuk memprioritaskan bahkan menyetarakan kapasitas aparatur Kalurahan khususnya di bidang administratif dan teknologi informasi.

Abstract

Order and security are fundamental elements of sustainable regional development. In the Kapanewon Tanjungsari region, Gunungkidul Regency, D.I Yogyakarta, challenges to social stability arise due to complex demographic, geographic, and socio-economic dynamics. The local government has responded to these conditions by launching the Jaga Warga program, a community-based initiative that aims to increase community participation in maintaining order and security in the neighborhood. This study aims to identify and analyze the patterns of order and security issue handling carried out by Jaga Warga as a form of active community participation. Using a qualitative approach with a case study method, data was collected through field observations, in-depth interviews with various stakeholders, and analysis of activity documentation. The results of the study show that Jaga Warga adopts a community-based communication pattern, establishes intensive coordination with village officials, and implements preventive strategies rooted in local values such as mutual cooperation, deliberation, and social solidarity. This pattern has proven to be effective in increasing community awareness, strengthening social bonds, and creating a collective sense of security. In addition, the success of the Jaga Warga program is influenced by the structural support of the village government and the active participation of residents in neighborhood security activities. This study recommends strengthening Jaga Warga's institutional capacity through training, funding, and a continuous evaluation system, as well as the need for local government policy support to ensure the sustainability of participatory security practices at the local level

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the factors affecting domestic supply, domestic demand, and exports of cocoa beans in Indonesia. The model in this study used simultaneous equations with the analysis method in the form of Two Stage Least Square (2SLS). This research uses secondary data with a time period of 2006 - 2021. The results of this study explain that:(1) Domestic cocoa bean supply is influenced by domestic cocoa bean prices, domestic coffee bean prices, productivity levels, exports, and the previous year’s supply. (2) Domestic demand for cocoa beans is influenced by domestic cocoa bean prices, domestic coffee bean prices, exports, and the previous year’s demand. (3) Cocoa bean exports are influenced by international prices, exchange rates, domestic cocoa bean supply, and domestic cocoa bean demand. The results of this study are expected to contribute to policy recommendations for the government to maximize the supply, demand, and export of cocoa beans. The limitations of this study lie in the fact that the data was collected via the internet and sourced from several different publications, which may have led to discrepancies in the data for the same year.

Abstract

Pengukuran kinerja sangat berguna untuk menentukan apakah kinerja perusahaan telah meningkat atau menurun. Pengukuran kinerja merupakan alat yang berharga untuk membandingkan kinerja masa lalu dan masa depan. Perusahaan dapat menggunakan Balanced Scorecard untuk membantu perusahaan mengkomunikasikan strategi bisnis dan visi dan misi perusahaan yang dapat mengarah pada penyesuaian dan peningkatan strategis sehingga dapat meningkatkan kinerja dalam unit perusahaan. Penelitian ini memiliki tujuan untuk mengevaluasi kinerja perusahaan dengan menggunakan pendekatan balanced scorecard yang meliputi empat prespektif utama yakni proses bisnis internal, pelanggan, pembelajaran dan pertumbuhan, dan keuangan. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa pengukuran kinerja perusahaan dengan pendekatan Balanced Scorecard pada PT. PG Candi Baru Sidoarjo pada tahun 2018-2022 secara keseluruhan mendapatkan nilai dengan total score 54,5% yang menunjukkan kondisi yang kurang sehat dan tergolong dalam kategori BBB.
