Abstract

This study aims to determine whether democratic values ​​have been implemented in the Intra-School Student Organization of SMK Negeri 1 Bulango Utara. The subjects in this study were OSIS members. The method used in this study is a qualitative method. It aims to find data on whether democratic values ​​have been implemented or not in the Intra-School Student Organization. This study is divided into 2 research focuses, including 1) how is the implementation of democratic values ​​in the intra-school student organization at SMK Negeri 1 Bulango Utra. 2) what are the supporting and inhibiting factors for the implementation of democratic values ​​in the Intra-School Student Organization. Based on the results of this study, it can be concluded that democratic values ​​have been implemented well in the Intra-School Student Organization of SMK Negeri 1 Bulango Utara through OSIS activities, namely 1) OSIS Management Meeting. 2) Election of the OSIS chairman. 3) OSIS Grand Deliberation. The democratic values ​​formed in OSIS are, 1) Tolerance. 2) Freedom of expression. 3) Openness in communication 4) Mutual respect. 5) Togetherness. Supporting factors for the implementation of democratic values ​​in the intra-school Student Organization at SMK Negeri 1 Bulango Utara are 1) The school. 2) Student motivation. 3) The will of the students. Inhibiting factors for the implementation of democratic values ​​in the intra-school Student Organization at SMK Negeri 1 Bulango Utara are 1) apathetic students. 2) Limited student participation. 3) Low student motivation.

Abstract

This community service activity aims to build students’ political awareness in strengthening the spirit of multicultural citizenship at SMA Negeri 5 Gorontalo. Through this activity, students are expected to understand the meaning of political awareness, foster an attitude of tolerance, and appreciate diversity as part of a democratic civic character. The implementation was carried out offline using a participatory-educative approach, involving 23 students of SMA Negeri 5 Gorontalo as the target participants. The activity was conducted by three lecturers and several students from the Civic Education (PPKn) Undergraduate Program, Faculty of Social Sciences, Universitas Negeri Gorontalo. The stages of the activity included preparation, implementation through socialization and interactive discussions, participatory observation, and evaluation by distributing questionnaires to assess changes in students’ attitudes and understanding of political and multicultural values. The results showed an increase in students’ understanding and political awareness, reflected in their active participation in discussions, improved ability to express opinions critically, and enhanced respect for intercultural differences.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis efektivitas Program Beasiswa Daerah Kartu Prestasi Tuntas Sekolah dalam mendukung keberhasilan pendidikan serta mengidentifikasi faktor-faktor yang memengaruhinya di SMP Negeri 1 Marisa Kabupaten Pohuwato. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan desain deskriptif-analitis. Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara mendalam, observasi, dan studi dokumentasi terhadap kepala sekolah, guru, pengelola program, dan siswa penerima beasiswa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa program beasiswa daerah efektif dalam mendukung keberlanjutan pendidikan, meningkatkan motivasi belajar, kedisiplinan, dan kehadiran siswa dari keluarga kurang mampu. Namun, dampak terhadap prestasi akademik bersifat tidak langsung dan bertahap. Efektivitas program dipengaruhi oleh peran sekolah dalam implementasi kebijakan, kondisi sosial ekonomi keluarga, mekanisme administratif, serta keterbatasan kuota penerima. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa beasiswa daerah berfungsi sebagai instrumen afirmatif yang efektif, namun memerlukan penyempurnaan kebijakan agar lebih responsif dan berbasis hasil pendidikan

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis faktor penyebab dan dampak anak putus sekolah di Desa Payunga Kecamatan Batudaa. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif dengan teknik observasi, wawancara mendalam, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa faktor penyebab anak putus sekolah terdiri atas faktor internal meliputi motivasi, kehendak pribadi, dan orientasi nilai anak, serta faktor eksternal yang mencakup kondisi ekonomi, lingkungan sosial, dan pola asuh orang tua. Dampak yang ditimbulkan meliputi dampak ekonomi berupa hilangnya produktivitas anak dan dampak sosial psikologis berupa pernikahan dini, pergaulan negatif, dan meningkatnya kerentanan sosial. Penelitian ini menegaskan bahwa putus sekolah merupakan persoalan sosial yang terbentuk melalui interaksi faktor individu dan lingkungan keluarga di tingkat desa.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the existence of the value of Huyula in the character education of students at SMK Negeri 1 Limboto and to examine the factors influencing its actualization within school life. Huyula is a local wisdom value of the Gorontalo community, referring to cooperation, mutual assistance, and social solidarity grounded in a spirit of togetherness and collective responsibility in communal life. The study employs a qualitative approach with a case study design, utilizing interviews, observations, and student perception questionnaires as data collection techniques. The findings indicate that the value of Huyula continues to exist in students’ social practices, manifested through collective work and mutual support; however, it has not yet been internalized as a reflective character consciousness. The actualization of this value is constrained by structural, pedagogical, and cultural factors. This study underscores the importance of systematically and reflectively strengthening character education based on local wisdom, so that the value of Huyula can transform into a sustainable and deeply rooted character disposition.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to describe how Soeharto is in the eyes of the people of Gorontalo. The results of the research show that the figure of Suharto played an important role during the New Order era which slightly changed conditions in Indonesia which also had an impact on Gorontalo. It can be said that Soeharto himself during the New Order era was known as an extraordinary and kind person, but apart from that, there are many stories that tell about his badness where Suharto was a pretty tough person, as well as news about the case. Corruption committed by him and his son during his tenure as president during the New Order era. Abstract

The purpose of this study was to find out the development of the fish market in Tamboo Village in 2017-2020. At the beginning of its establishment, the fish market in Tamboo Village did not have complete facilities. In 2017 the market facilities in Tamboo Village still used makeshift tools. In 2018, the community received assistance from the government in the form of fish stalls using cement and clean water. This assistance, although not comprehensive, can help the community's trading activities. In 2019 the market position or market location was moved back to its initial position, which was near the beach. The relocation of the market caused differences of opinion between the community and the village government. The community and the village government have made an agreement on the location of the permanent market in the new location and the market facilities have been reopened. The impact of the agreement is that trading activities run normally. Market developments in 2020 are marked by concreting and clean water. The number of public facilities that support selling activities is adequate and complete. Los as a place to sell can accommodate various traders. The market has foremen and janitors. Abstract

Abstract This study aims to analyze procedural negligence by the election organizing groups and their resolution efforts during the 2024 General Elections. The research method used is qualitative. The study is located in Paguyaman Pantai District. Data sources include primary data obtained from election organizing groups in the research area, and secondary data from archived reports, journals, and books to support the research. Data collection techniques include observation, interviews, and documentation. The research findings identify several instances of procedural negligence, such as errors in distributing ballots to specific polling stations, damage or loss of crucial documents like the C-Notification (containing vote count results), errors in filling out documents like the C-Results, discrepancies between the number of ballots and the Voter List (DPT), and administrative issues related to document delivery. Resolution efforts involve diverse follow-up actions across various polling stations. For example, replacing damaged or incorrectly placed ballots, reconciliation after vote counting, assistance during the counting process, discussions to address absenteeism issues, and re-elections with redistributions of ballots. In conclusion, addressing these instances of procedural negligence requires diverse strategies to ensure the integrity and success of the electoral process. These efforts are crucial to minimize negative impacts on the validity and integrity of democratic processes at each Polling Station. Abstract

Abstrak Motivasi belajar merupakan faktor yang sangat penting dalam proses belajar. Motivasi adalah kekuatan internal atau dorongan yang mendorong seseorang untuk memulai, menjaga, dan menyelesaikan suatu tindakan atau tujuan tertentu. Dalam konteks belajar, motivasi menjadi pendorong individu untuk aktif mengambil bagian dalam proses pembelajaran, mengatasi hambatan, dan mencapai tujuan akademis atau keterampilan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi faktor-faktor yang menghambat motivasi belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran Pendidikan Pancasila dan Kewarganegaraan (PPKN) di SMA Negeri 1 Popayato, Kabupaten Pohuwato. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi kasus, dan data dikumpulkan melalui observasi dan wawancara. Data yang dianalisis terdiri dari sumber primer dan sekunder. Temuan penelitian menunjukkan bahwa faktor-faktor penghambat motivasi belajar siswa dapat dikategorikan dalam tiga dimensi utama. Pertama, metode mengajar memiliki peran kunci, dengan variasi pendekatan pengajaran yang monoton atau tradisional tanpa pemanfaatan teknologi menjadi penghambat utama motivasi siswa. Kedua, kondisi ruang belajar, seperti keterbatasan fasilitas atau suasana yang tidak kondusif, juga dapat mempengaruhi kenyamanan dan konsentrasi siswa. Ketiga, hubungan antara guru dan siswa memiliki dampak signifikan, di mana hubungan positif dan komunikasi efektif dapat meningkatkan motivasi, sementara hambatan dalam komunikasi atau hubungan yang kurang baik dapat menjadi penghambat motivasi belajar siswa.
