Abstract

This study aims to analyze the needs of students in developing teaching materials in the Bioentrepreneur course in the pandemic era. This research includes qualitative descriptive research. Collecting data using questionnaire, interview and observation techniques. The results showed that (1) 95.8% of students used reading materials in the form of writing on the website, (2) 51.9% of students stated that the most difficult topic in the Bioentrepreneur course was Financial Management, (3) 85.2% of students needed material. teaching in the form of learning videos. The conclusion of the research is it is necessary to develop teaching materials in the form of learning videos on the topic of analyzing financial management in the Bioentrepreneur course in the pandemic era

Abstract

This study aims to 1) develop learning tools with self and peer assessment instruments based on an online discussion of socio-scientific issues 2) to determine their effect on students' argumentation skills on environmental pollution material. The development of learning tools uses the 4D development model with the implementation of research only up to 3D, namely the defining, designing, and development stages. The learning tools developed were RPP, LKPD, evaluation instruments, self-assessment instruments,and peer assessment based on Socio-scientific Issues of Environmental Pollution material. The subjects in this study were students from class X MIPA 4 SMA Negeri 5 Semarang for the 2019/2020 school year. The sampling technique used a simple random sampling technique in limited field tests and saturated sampling techniques in operational field tests. The learning tools developed have been validated by expert lecturers and have been revised so that the results are suitable for use. The results showed that the learning tools developed using the pretest and posttest had a "moderate" effect on the argumentation skills of students with a gain score of 0.5555.

Abstract

The aim of the research is to analyze students' internal learning motivation. The samples of this research are 117 students from the X and XI Class of Science Program. This research used a descriptive approach, and the sampling technique in this research is cluster random sampling. The data was collected from questionnaires, interviews, and observation. The questionnaire was analyzed using descriptive quantitatively while interview and observation were analyzed using qualitatively. The qualitative study's research concluded that students' internal learning motivation at class X MIPA 76,36% with high criteria and class XI MIPA 74,90% with middle criteria, obtain an average 75,63% with high criteria.

Abstract

ENLearning media is an important means of supporting the learning process. It requires learning media that makes learning activities easier to understand by students. One of the tools that can be used in the learning process is a booklet. A booklet is a learning medium in the form of a small book with clear, concise, and easy-to-understand content with a minimum of five pages and a maximum of forty-eight pages out of cover count. This study aims to evaluate the validity of bookmaking as an additional teaching material in the biology lessons at high school/MA. Data collection is done by searching for journals and thesis related to booklets. The sample used is 20 journalists related to the development of the booklet. The meta-analysis results of the research for the educational material of the booklet amounted to 88.14%, with a very valid category. Then, with the results obtained, the booklet can be used for teaching material on the learning process to help the students so that they can easily understand the material delivered. IDMedia pembelajaran adalah sarana penting untuk mendukung proses pembelajaran. Dibutuhkan media pembelajaran yang membuat kegiatan pembelajaran lebih mudah dipahami oleh siswa. Salah satu alat yang dapat digunakan dalam proses pembelajaran adalah Booklet. Booklet sendiri adalah sebuah media pembelajaran berupa buku kecil dengan isi yang jelas, tegas, dan mudah dipahami yang memiliki minimal lima halaman dan maksimal empat puluh delapan halaman di luar hitungan sampul. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengevaluasi validitas pembuatan buku sebagai bahan ajar tambahan dalam pelajaran biologi di SMA/MA. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan mencari jurnal dan tesis yang berhubungan dengan booklet. Sampel yang digunakan adalah 20 jurnal yang berkaitan dengan pengembangan booklet. Hasil meta analisis penelitian untuk bahan ajar berupa booklet sebesar 88,14% dengan kategori sangat valid. Maka dengan hasil yang sudah didapat booklet dapat digunakan untuk bahan ajar pada proses pembelajaran dalam rangka membantu peserta didik agar dapat mudah memahami materi yang disampaikan.

Abstract

The emergence of Coronavirus-19 disease has caused all educational institutions to switch the face-to-face learning mode to distance learning with an online system. Online learning requires teachers and students to use a tool to help teaching and learning activities, namely the e-learning platform. The purpose of this study is to analyze the various e-learning platforms used by biology teachers in grade 11 of public senior high schools (SMA) and Islamic public high schools (MA) in Semarang City. This research is a qualitative descriptive study using the analysis of the Miles and Huberman model. The purposive sampling technique was used by considering the geographical location of the school and the diversity of platforms used. The samples were 5 schools: 3 high schools (SMA) and 2 Islamic Public high School of Madrasah Aliyah. Data collection techniques used semi-structured interviews and documentation studies. The results show that the e-learning platforms used by biology teachers are very diverse, ranging from instant messaging platforms such as WhatsApp, video conferencing platforms such as Google Meet and Microsoft Team, and Learning Management System (LMS) platforms such as Moodle, Google Classroom, Microsoft Office 365, and Madrasah e-learning. Each school uses a different type of platform and is adapted to school policies and student needs. Some schools develop their own e-learning platforms for online learning so that their use is mandatory, but this does not limit teachers from integrating other platforms so that learning objectives can be achieved perfectly.
