Abstract

Object detection plays an important role in various fields. Developing detection models for 2D objects that experience rotation and texture variations is a challenge. In this research, the initial stage of the proposed model integrates the gray-level co-occurrence matrix (GLCM) and local binary patterns (LBP) texture feature extraction to obtain feature vectors. The next stage is classifying features using k-nearest neighbors (KNN) and random forest (RF), as well as voting ensemble (VE). System testing used a dataset of 4,437 2D images, the results for KNN accuracy were 92.7% and F1-score 92.5%, while RF performance was lower. Although GLCM features improve performance on both algorithms, KNN is more consistent. The VE approach provides the best performance with an accuracy of 93.9% and an F1-score of 93.8%, this shows the effectiveness of the ensemble technique in increasing object detection accuracy. This study contributes to the field of object detection with a new approach combining GLCM and LBP as feature vectors as well as VE for classification.

Abstract

Accurate predictions of the number of public transport passengers on buses in each region are crucial for operations. They are required by the planning and management authority for bus public transport. A deep learning-based LSTM prediction model is proposed to predict the number of passengers in 4 bus public transportation areas (central, north, south, and west), evaluated by MSLE, MAPE, and SMAPE with dropout, neuron, and train-test variations. The CSV dataset obtained from Auckland Transport(AT) New Zealand metro patronage report on bus performance(1/01/2019-31/07/2023) is used for evaluation. The best prediction model was obtained from the lowest evaluation value and relatively fast time with a dropout of 0.2, 32 neurons, and train-test 80-20. The prediction model on training and testing data improves with the suitability of tuning for four predictions for the next 12 months with mutual fluctuations. The strong negative correlation is central-south, while the strong positive correlation is north-west. Predictions are less closely interconnected and dependent, namely central-south. With its potential to significantly impact policy-making, this prediction model can increase public transport mobility in each region, leading to a more efficient and accessible public transport system and ultimately enhancing the public's daily lives. This research has practical implications for public transport authorities, as it can guide them in making informed decisions about service planning and resource allocation.

Abstract

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to test organizational communication and spiritual intelligence simultaneously as a predictor of organizational conflict management style in pastors of the Evangelical Church in Timor (GMIT). This study is a quantitative research, with multiple regression analysis techniques. The data collection technique was carried out using the Rahim Organizational Conflict Inventory II from Rahim & Magner (1995) measuring the integrative dimension and the distributive dimension. The results of the partial findings also show that spiritual intelligence has an effect on organization conflict management styles in GMIT pastors. In addition, it is concluded that the existence or absence of the use of conflicts management styles among male and female pastors cannot use the gender variable as determining things. The findings may inform training programs for pastors and have practical implications for improving leadership practices and fostering a harmonious environment within religious organizations.

Abstract

This study investigates the impact of gender variations on job crafting and the perceived meaningfulness of work among workers at PT. X, a digital consulting business in Jakarta. The survey included 55 employees, 40 men and 15 women, who completed a questionnaire on their job transitions and the significance of their roles. The findings indicated that male employees had a greater propensity to alter their employment in alignment with their preferences and competencies, maybe due to a perceived sense of autonomy. Employees who transitioned to new positions often perceived their roles as more relevant since this adjustment aligned their employment closely with their personal preferences. Notably, despite males changing occupations more frequently, there was no disparity between men and women regarding the perceived significance of their employment. The survey underscores the necessity for employers to assist all employees, particularly women, in advancing their careers through training, mentorship, and flexible work arrangements, ensuring that every employee feels empowered and respected.
