Abstract

Pendidikan bertujuan untuk memperbaiki kualitas kehidupan dalam rangkaian pengembangan sumber daya manusia yang bermutu. Mata pelajaran IPS merupakan program pengajaran yang bertujuan untuk mengembangkan potensi siswa agar peka terhadap masalah sosial yang terjadi di masyarakat. Siswa diharapkan memiliki sikap mental positif terhadap perbaikan segala ketimpangan yang terjadi dan terampil mengatasi masalah yang di hadapinya sendiri maupun yang terjadi di masyarakat. Model pembelajaran inovatif untuk menumbuhkan aktivitas siswa guna mengenal kebudayaan dan masalah lokal pada pembelajaran IPS yakni model pembelajaran berbasis masalah atau yang lebih dikenal dengan Problem Based Learning. PBL juga dimaknai sebagai model pembelajaran yang menantang siswa agar belajar, bekerjasama dalam kelompok untuk mencari solusi bagi masalah yang nyata. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah 1) untuk mengetahui cara meningkatkan pembelajaran IPS melalui pembelajaran berbasis masalah; 2) untuk mengetahui apakah pemebelajaran IPS berbasis masalah dapat meningkatkan motibvasi belajar siswa. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode kuasi eksperimen. Desain eksperimen yang digunakan adalah kuasi eksperimen Nonequivalent Control Group Pretest-posttest Design (NCP-PD). Siswa lebih menguasai konsep IPS dan memiliki kemampuan memecahkan masalah social, serta citra pembelajara IPS berbasis masalah memotivasi siswa dalam pembelajaran di kelas.

Abstract

This paper discusses the design and simulation of the Cascade Greinacher circuit to increase the dc output voltage and current. The voltage increasing circuit using the Cockroft-Walton method has a large output voltage ripple and voltage drop. Meanwhile, half wave and full wave rectifier circuits are only capable of producing a DC output voltage and do not reach the maximum voltage value. In addition, the load resistance at each input power saturation is different and high frequencies require the addition of a capacitor circuit. Therefore, the Greinacher Doubler Circuit (GDC) rectifier is proposed with a modified diode and capacitor series arranged in nine levels in parallel. The circuit modification is used as a DC output voltage rectifier to reduce output voltage ripple. Then the circuit modification was tested by simulating the PSIM software and varying input voltages. Simulation testing uses a 220 volts voltage source, 50 Hz frequency, and component specifications for a single-phase step-down transformer 220 to 12 volts, 8 diodes (DXN, DN/DXN1, DN1/DXN2, DN2/DXN3, DN3), 8 capacitors with 4700Uf value (CXN, CN/CXN1, CN1/CXN2, CN2/CXN3, CN2), and 100 Ω resistor. simulation results which produce a voltage greater than 3 times the input voltage, namely 35.7 V and a current of 0.98 A. Even though at times 0.001 seconds and 0.0035 seconds and 0.0054 seconds the output voltage and current are constant at 4.9 volts respectively, the current is 0.03 A, current 0.08 A and current 0.013 A. The output voltage Vout, Vs and current continue to increase when it reaches 1 second.

Abstract

This paper discusses the design and monitoring system of ship leakage. Ship leakage causes accidents at sea. Therefore, a prototype design and monitoring system are proposed. The design uses fiberglass and resin with dimensions of 60x15x13 cm, and monitoring uses the Internet of Things to turn on three automatic pumps alternately. The results show that monitoring pump 1 obtained an average water volume of 0.00131 m3, time 83.92 seconds, discharge 0.0000157 m3/second, current 0.44 A and power 2.2 W. Pump 2 obtained an average water volume of 0.00161 m3, time 139.08 seconds, discharge 0.0000116 m3/second, current 0.24 A and power 1.2 W. While pump 3 obtained an average water volume of 0.00126 m3, time 52.26 seconds, discharge 0.0000241 m3/second, current 0.68 A and power 3.4 W. The monitoring results have different average water volume, time, discharge, current and power.

Abstract

This paper discusses the design of dual-axis solar tracker technology to measure the angle, torque and motor power of solar panels in dragon fruit fields in Banyuwangi Regency. The installation of solar panels that have been carried out in static conditions with the charging of solar panel energy produced is not optimal. Therefore, solar tracker technology is proposed to measure the angular velocity, motor torque, and motor power by following the direction of the sun. The dual-axis solar tracker uses a worm gear consisting of a spiral threaded shaft to drive a toothed wheel with a rotation angle of 180o. The results of the application of the solar tracker show that the angular velocity, torque and power increase significantly. Measurement of the dual-axis solar tracker with a time of 2-30 seconds obtained the angle, torque and power of the worm gear motor at a time of 0 seconds, namely -664.151 deg / s to a time of 30 seconds 621.534 deg / s. While the results of measurements with a time of 30-60 seconds produced an angular velocity of 621.534-2169.744 deg / s. Furthermore, the measurement of the worm gear motor torque at 0-30 seconds obtained 353,712-2286,268 Nm, and the measurement of the motor torque at 30-60 seconds produced a value of 2286,268-7356,913 Nm. The measurement of the worm gear motor power with a time of 2-30 seconds produced an average power of 7,785-46,984 kW, and the measurement of the motor power at 30-60 seconds produced a power of 46,984-101,479 kW.

Abstract

This paper discusses two types of transformers 3 A and 5 A with the addition of a flyback converter circuit. The transformer 3 A is only able to lower the DC output voltage and cannot produce an AC output voltage. So that the addition of a flyback converter circuit is proposed to change the AC output voltage and increase the voltage based on the desired load. The results of the 3 A transformer test obtained an increased output voltage from 12.21 Vdc to 18.04 Vdc with a constant time period of 1 minute. While testing the 5 A transformer shows that the increase in output voltage is obtained by adding a flyback converter circuit. The result of the output voltage with the addition of a flyback converter circuit reaches 221 Vac to 252.2 Vac. The increase in output voltage is directly proportional to a constant time period of one minute.

Abstract

Addiction to gadgets or devices can occur in children or adults. Addiction can happen to anyone, whether they are children or adults. So, if someone becomes addicted to gadgets. The cause of gadget addiction is the habit of interacting without rules, leading people to increasingly feel the pleasure and addiction of interacting in the virtual world. Gadget addiction is very dangerous when experienced by children because it poses problems for them including a lack of socialisation with friends as they already have virtual friends, not communicating with those around them, and health issues such as eyesight problems that can affect a child's emotional stability. From these issues, it is necessary to educate parents to always accompany and limit their children while playing with gadgets. Many parents do not understand how to support their children while playing with gadgets, which is one of the challenges faced by parents at Khodijah 112 Dadapan Kindergarten. Therefore, it is important to raise awareness among parents about how to support their children so that they do not become addicted to gadgets and how parents can understand their children's learning methods to improve their academic performance.

Abstract

During the aftermath of the Covid-19 pandemic, educational establishments encounter difficulties in providing comprehensive learning experiences due to the unpredictable circumstances caused by the pandemic. Hence, it becomes crucial for these institutions to prioritize the adoption of digitalized education that allows for accessibility at any time and from any location. However, the field of light vehicle engineering faces its own set of challenges when it comes to delivering intricate materials, primarily due to the size and intricacy of the learning resources. To tackle this issue, a novel approach has been introduced in the form of Virtual Reality (VR)-based learning methods, which prove to be invaluable tools in enhancing comprehension of the subject matter.

Abstract

The coffee industry in Banyuwangi has a rich history, dating back to Dutch colonial rule. Despite its prominence, coffee farmers, especially the Tunas Harapan farmer group in Gombengsari, face significant challenges in post-harvest coffee handling, particularly in drying methods. Traditional sun-drying methods employed by the farmers are inefficient and fail to meet market standards, leading to reduced product quality. To address this issue, this community engagement project introduced the Solar Hybrid Dryer (SHD) technology, a sustainable drying method combining solar and electric heating. The project involved designing and constructing SHD units integrated with IoT systems for real-time monitoring and control. Additionally, solar panels were installed to provide renewable energy for the system, minimizing operational costs. Training sessions were conducted for 15 members of the Tunas Harapan group, focusing on post-harvest coffee handling and the use of SHD technology. The training aimed to improve farmers' knowledge and skills, enhancing the quality of their coffee products. The SHD technology proved effective, reducing drying time from 15 days to 5 days while maintaining the optimal moisture content of 12%. Post-training surveys indicated high levels of satisfaction among participants, with improvements in product quality and increased potential for collaboration. Overall, the implementation of SHD technology and capacity building has provided sustainable solutions for improving the livelihoods of coffee farmers in Gombengsari

Abstract

This article discusses safety regulations during the welding process to reduce the risk of workplace accidents, long-term health consequences, and improve the quality of finished products. The study examines various international safety regulations, practical safety measures, and incidents involving welding. An important first step in increasing employee awareness and understanding of the potential risks that may arise during the welding process is safety socialization. Risks associated with welding include exposure to UV light, hazardous gases, sparks and high temperatures, which, if not managed appropriately, can jeopardize worker health and safety. Therefore, to ensure the best possible implementation of occupational safety standards, organized teaching initiatives through outreach are required. Personal protective equipment (PPE), safe work practices, handling of dangerous goods, risk mitigation and emergency response training are examples of socialization activities. A thorough understanding of welding safety is believed to reduce the number of workplace accidents, increase output, and make the workplace safer. This community service focuses on conducting welding and work safety training for home welding workshop businesses in Balak Village, Songgon District, Banyuwangi Regency. The application of safety standards to the welding process aims to evaluate the effectiveness of welding safety socialization in improving workers' compliance with safety procedures, while providing recommendations for optimizing future training programs.

Abstract

Bletok Village is one of the villages in Bungatan District, Situbondo Regency. The main problem in Bletok Village is the lack of understanding regarding PIRT licensing and how to perform digital marketing, as well as the low selling value of their local products. In general, products that have P-IRT licenses have a positive impact on MSME producers in Bletok Village, such as making their product to be easily marketed or distributed legally and expanding consumer reach. The purpose of this community service program is to provide solutions related to the problems faced by the people of Bletok Village, in the form of socializing the understanding of pirt licensing and the digitalization of MSME products in Bletok Village, Situbondo District. The method used is through surveys and outreach. The results obtained from this program is for the MSME community to be able to receive and comprehend information related to PIRT licensing and digital marketing.
