Abstract

Abstract

Endek woven fabric is one of the artistic treasures of Indonesian culture. One of the processes in the production of woven fabric is the midang process, which involves winding threads onto a loom frame through repetitive layering and stacking of aligned threads. The midang process requires precision, speed, and repetition; the work is monotonous and performed while standing. To produce two to four midang results, artisans require two days. The method used was quantitative descriptive analysis, calculating the percentage (%) of questionnaire results using the Nordic Body Map questionnaire and 30 items of subjective fatigue measured on a four-point Likert scale, averaged from 20 midang artisans. The study results indicate an 83.8% increase in musculoskeletal complaints and a 67.0% increase in work-related fatigue following the work period, indicating that standing work postures affect workers’ conditions. Working in a standing position for prolonged periods on a regular basis can cause foot pain, swelling of the soles, lower back pain, and pain in the neck and shoulders. This can lead to cumulative trauma disorders (CTD). To reduce these issues, short breaks are needed between the morning and afternoon shifts. Short breaks can help minimize complaints while using the midang tool.

Abstract

Three key elements are needed to utilize renewable energy within a community: technological readiness, human resource readiness, and data on local energy potential. Human resource readiness can be measured based on the community's knowledge of renewable energy. Similarly, farmer groups, as part of the human resource that requires energy for their activities, both at home and in the workplace, need to prepare themselves with knowledge about renewable energy utilization to meet future needs. ‘Remaja Tani Serba Guna Buani’, one of the farmers group in Buani Hamlet, also needs assistance in preparing itself for renewable energy utilization. This is due to the lower-middle educational background of its members and the lack of sosialization to them. Therefore, sosialization on renewable energy is necessary to help them understand the various types of renewable energy and the potential for renewable energy in their area to support sustainable energy conservation. This activity was carried out in three stages: preparation, implementation, and evaluation. The evaluation revealed that 73.69% of participants answered the questions with a score of "fair to excellent," while 26.31% of participants answered the questions with a score of "very poor to poor." This indicates that the sosialization activities provided understanding to the majority of the farmer group members.

Abstract

This study evaluates the performance and energy efficiency of an electric vehicle powertrain based on a Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor under varying speed and load conditions using a real-time monitoring system. Experiments were conducted at speeds of 10–40 km/h and loads of 50–200 kg, measuring voltage, current, power, efficiency, and specific energy consumption. Results show that efficiency increases significantly from approximately 66% at low speeds to over 90% at higher speeds, while specific energy consumption decreases from 118 Wh/km to around 60 Wh/km, indicating improved energy utilization. Load variation has a relatively minor effect on efficiency but contributes to higher current and power demand. Efficiency gradient analysis reveals a reduced rate of improvement at higher speeds, suggesting saturation effects and the presence of an optimal operating region. Measurement validation confirms low error levels (<5%), ensuring data reliability. Overall, the system demonstrates optimal performance at medium to high speeds with significantly enhanced energy efficiency.
