Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of administrative management in improving student administrative services based on the four managerial functions of Planning, Organizing, Implementation, and Monitoring (POAC). A descriptive qualitative approach was employed to obtain an in-depth understanding of administrative management practices in an Islamic secondary school. Data were collected through semi-structured interviews, direct observations, and document analysis involving school leaders, administrative personnel, and students. The data were analyzed using the interactive model of data condensation, data display, and conclusion drawing and verification. The findings reveal that the four managerial functions have been implemented systematically. Planning is reflected in structured work programs and service schedules, organizing is supported by a clear distribution of responsibilities and collaborative coordination, implementation is characterized by responsive, orderly, and standardized administrative services, while monitoring is conducted through continuous supervision and periodic evaluation. Nevertheless, several challenges remain, including limited facilities, insufficient administrative personnel, increasing workloads, and delays in administrative data submission. These findings imply that strengthening integrated administrative management, supported by digital technology adoption, continuous staff development, and sustainable quality assurance, is essential for improving the effectiveness, efficiency, and sustainability of student administrative services in Islamic educational institutions.

Abstract

This study presents a textual and contextual analysis of the podcast featuring Deddy Corbuzier and Aiman Witjaksono using Teun A. Van Dijk’s critical discourse analysis model, and examines its relevance to the teaching of expository texts to 10th-grade students at MA Darut Tauhid in Krejengan, Probolinggo. This study employs a descriptive qualitative method, with data sources including podcast transcripts, observation results, interviews with teachers and students, and learning documentation. Data collection techniques involved observation, interviews, note-taking, and documentation, while data analysis was conducted through the stages of data condensation, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of the study indicate that the macro structure of the podcast focuses on the development of artificial intelligence (AI) and its impact on human life. The podcast’s superstructure is systematically organized through an introduction, development of arguments, and conclusion. The micro structure is characterized by the use of persuasive, evaluative, and emotional language. In terms of social context and social cognition, the study explains the influence of social reality, knowledge, and the speaker’s experiences in constructing discourse. Additionally, the podcast is relevant as a medium for teaching expository texts because it can develop students’ critical thinking skills through information analysis and the construction of logical arguments.

Abstract

Purpose – This study examines associations among Digital Public Relations Transformation, Digital PR Maturity, Brand Awareness, and Stakeholder Engagement in one Islamic educational institution and develops a context-specific conceptual blueprint for digital PR management. Design/methods/approach – A sequential explanatory mixed-methods design combined a survey of 102 stakeholders analyzed using PLS-SEM with interviews and focus group discussions involving 12 participants. Religious Content was examined qualitatively as contextual evidence rather than as a statistical moderator. Findings – Digital PR Transformation was positively associated with Digital PR Maturity (β = .417, p < .001, R² = .174) and Brand Awareness (β = .268, p < .001). Digital PR Maturity was positively associated with Brand Awareness (β = .208, p < .001, R² = .162), while Brand Awareness was associated with Engagement (β = .468, p < .001, R² = .219). Qualitative accounts emphasized consistent academic-religious messaging, clear workflows, and interaction prompts. Because bootstrapped indirect-effect intervals are not reported, the results do not establish mediation. Research implication – The study offers a process-oriented, institution-specific blueprint for governance, content coordination, and analytics. The findings are associative and require replication, complete measurement-model reporting, and pilot implementation before broader generalization.

Abstract

This study examines the use of code-switching in English classroom instruction at Sekolah Indonesia Kuala Lumpur (SIKL), a transnational Indonesian school where English, Malay, and Indonesian are routinely used. Employing a qualitative descriptive research design, data were collected through four weeks of classroom observations, semi-structured interviews with three English teachers and selected students (Grades 10–12), and analysis of instructional documents and school language policies. The findings indicate that code-switching serves three main functions: pedagogical, social, and managerial. Pedagogically, it is used to clarify instructions, explain unfamiliar concepts, and support students’ comprehension. Socially, code-switching facilitates classroom interaction and encourages student participation. Managerially, it assists teachers in managing classroom routines and transitions. These findings suggest that code-switching functions as a strategic communicative resource in multilingual classrooms rather than as an indicator of linguistic deficiency. The study contributes to discussions on multilingual pedagogy by highlighting how code-switching supports instructional effectiveness in overseas Indonesian school contexts.
