Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of giving inorganic fertilizer NPKMg and organic super K fertilizer and to get the best combination dose of inorganic fertilizer NPKMg and organic super K fertilizer on the growth of oil palm seedlings at the age of 7 months. This research was conducted for 6 months starting from October 2020 to April 2021. Using a factorial Completely Randomized Design (CRD). The first factor is inorganic fertilizer NPKMg with 2 levels, namely A1: 7.5 g per polybag, A2: 10 g per polybag. The second factor is super K organic fertilizer with 3 levels, namely K1 : 6.25 g per polybag, K2 : 12.5 g per polybag, K3 : 18.75 g per polybag. Parameters observed were plant height, number of midribs, leaf width, leaf length and bulb circumference. The data obtained were analyzed statistically using analysis of variance and further tested with Duncan's New Multiple Range Test (DNMRT) level 5% using the SPSS application. The results showed that the application of inorganic fertilizer NPKMg 10 g per polybag was able to increase the growth of oil palm seedlings in the main nursery. Application of organic fertilizer super K 12.5 g per polybag was able to increase the growth of oil palm seedlings. The combination of inorganic fertilizer NPKMg 10 g per polybag and organic fertilizer super K 12.5 g per polybag gave the best results for the growth of oil palm seedlings.Keywords: NPKMg inorganic fertilizer, super K organic fertilizer, oil palm seedlings

Abstract

 1This study aims to determine the effect of applying NPKMg compound fertilizer and super K organic fertilizer and to get the best combination for the growth of oil palm seedlings in the main nursery, which was held from October 2020 to April 2021 in Sekijang Village, Tapung Hilir District, Kampar Regency. This research was conducted experimentally using a factorial Completely Randomized Design (CRD). The first factor is NPKMg compound fertilizer with 2 levels, namely A1: 7.5 g per polybag, A2: 10 g per polybag. The second factor is super K organic fertilizer with 3 levels, namely O1 : 6.25 g per polybag, O2 : 12.5 g per polybag, O3 : 18.75 g per polybag. The results showed that the application of 10 g NPKMg compound fertilizer per polybag was able to increase the growth of oil palm seedlings in the main nursery. The application of super K organic fertilizer at the level of 12.5 g per polybag was able to increase the growth of oil palm seedlings. Abstract

The research was aimed to see the effect interaction of giving tofu dregs compost and npk fertilizer to get the right dose towards growth and the highest production of purple eggplant. The research was conducted at Experimental Garden, Faculty of Agriculture, Riau University, Pekanbaru. The research was conducted for 5 months, from february to june 2020. The reasearch was conducted experimentally in 2 factors. The first factor was the of tofu waste compost consists of 3 levels (0, 10 and 20 ton.ha-1). The second factor was the of NPK fertilizer (0, 100 and 150 kg.ha-1) which consist  of nine treatments combination. The observed parameterswere  the height of the plant (cm),  the days of flowering (days), the days of harvesting (days), the  fruit length (cm), the fruit diameter (cm), the number of fruits per plant (fruit), the fruit weight per fruit (g), the fruit weight per plant (g) and the fruit weight with plot (g). The data  in this research was analyzed in using variance and followed by Duncan's multiple distance test at 5% level.  The results showed that tofu waste compost and NPK fertilizer increased the growth of eggplant such as  the height of the plant,  the days of flowering, the days of harvesting, the number of fruits per plant, the fruit length, the fruit weight per fruit, the fruit weight per plant and the fruit weight with plot and does not increase fruit diameter. The giving tofu waste compost at a dose  20 ton.ha-1  and NPK fertilizer 150 kg.ha-1  gave the best eggplant growth and production until the plants were 90 DAP

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to find out the effect of rice straw compost,  NPK fertilizer and interaction rice straw compost and NPK  fertilizer to find the best dosage for growth dan production of onions.  This research was conducted in the experimental field Faculty of Agriculture, University of Riau in Campus Binawidya Km 12.5 Simpang Baru Panam, Pekanbaru. This research was conducted from February 2016 to Mei 2016. The research used Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with two factors. First factor is rice straw compost (P) which 3 levels, they are P1 = 600 g/1,2 m2 ; P2 = 1200 g/1,2 m2 and P3=1800 g/1,2 m. Second factor is NPK fertilizer (N) which 3 levels, they are N1=12 g/1,2 m2, N2=24 g/1,2 m2 dan N3=  36 g/1,2 m2. The combination of these two factors become 9 treatments and with 3 replications so there are 27 experimental units. Parameters observed are plant height, number of tubers, diameter of tubers, fresh weight tubers and dry weight tubers. The research used Analysis of Variance and further by Multiple Range Test Duncan’s at 5% level. The result concluded that treatment of rice straw compost 1800 g/1,2 m2 and NPK fertilizer 24 g/1,2 m2  may be recomanded for growth and production onions.  Keywords : Allium ascalonicum L., Rice straw compost, NPK fertilizer

Abstract

The study aims to determine the effect of reed trichocompost on the growth and yield of lettuce (Lactuca sativa L.). This research has been conducted on the Experimental Station of Faculty of Agriculture, Universitas Riau, Pekanbaru from July to September 2017.  This study was performed experimentally by using completely randomized design (CRD) consisting of six treatments and three replications. Each unit of the experiment was consisted of three  crop cress. The treatments of reed trichocompost were, 0: without trichocompost. , T1: 2 ton. ha-1 (200 g. m-2 reed trichocompost., T2 : 4 ton.ha-1 (400 g.m-2) reed trichocompost, T3 : 6 ton.ha-1 (600 g.m-2) reed trichocompost dose, T4  : 8 ton.ha-1 (800 g.m-2) reed trichocompost dose, T5 : 10 ton.ha-1 (1000 g.m-2) reed  trichocompost. Parameters those observed in this study were plant height (cm), leave number (blade), leaf area (cm2), fresh weight (g), and fresh weight feasible for consumption (g). Data were analyzed statistically, with by using ANOVA and Ducan’s at the level of 5%. The results showed reed trichocompost can improve plant growth, especially height, leave number, leaf area, fresh weight and fresh weight feasible for consumption. Keywords: Lactuca sativa L. and reed trichocompost.

Abstract

The study aimed to examine the effect of formulations Bacillus sp. and to get the best formulations on the growth of rice (Oryza sativa L.). The research was conducted in Quarantine Laboratory in Pekanbaru and at Greenhouse, technical implementation unit of agriculture faculty of Riau University, in March until to August 2013. The methods of research is experimentally with using completely randomized design (CRD) with 5 treatments and 4 replications. The data were analyzed using analysis of variance and followed by Duncan's New Multiple Range Test at level 5%. The parameters measured were plant height, number of total tillers, number of productive tillers, panicle length, weight of 100 grains, percentage of grain pithy, weight of dry grain of each plant and dry weight of plant. The results of the research showing that the treatment of formulations Bacillus sp. has non significant effect on the growth of plant height, number of total tillers, number of productive tillers, panicle length, weight of 100 grains, percentage of grain pithy, dry weight of grain of each plant and dry weight of plant. Formulations of Bacillus sp. with waste oil palm is the best formulation because it can stimulate the growth of panicle length, increasing the weight of 100 grains, percentage of grain pithy, dry weight of grain in each plant and dry weight of plant. Abstract

Onion is one of the important commodity in Indonesia, onion is also a much-needed spice vegetables society. Onion crop growth is affected by the level of fertility of growing media and other environmental factors. Fertilization is vital to the growth and yield of onion for proper fertilization can increase the fertility of growing media. One effort to improve soil fertility mineral that is with organic matter. Organic materials that can be used is corn straw which has been decomposed with the help of the fungus Trichoderma sp. This study was conducted over three months from December 2014 to February 2015. The study was conducted experimentally with 5 treatment using a Completely Randomized Design (CRD), each treatment was repeated 4 times so that there are 20 experimental units. , Parameters measured were the number of leaves, number of tubers, tuber dry weight of the shelf, and wrap the tubers. Data were analyzed statistically and followed by Duncan's test at 5% level. The results showed that administration of tricho compost with a dose of 15 tonnes / ha gave the best results on the number of leaves, number of tubers and tuber dry weight of the shelf. Abstract

The research aims to studythe interaction of compostof oil palm empty bunches(OPEB) and bolier ash on growth and yield of soybeans as an intercrop on oil palm plantation. The research was conducted on oil palm plantation area Agriculture Faculty, Riau University carried out at Tampan Subdistrict, Municipality Pekanbaru, from February to May 2014. The research is factorial experiment 4 x 2 andused a randomized block design (RBD). The first factor is compost of OPEB with 4 levels (0, 5, 10 and 15 ton/ha) and second factor isboiler ash with 2 level (2.5 and 5 ton/ha). Eachof treatments combination repeated 3 times. The effect all of treatments combination has knowed by DNMRT test (Duncan's New Multiple Range Test) at 5% level. Parameters measured were plant height, flowering age, time of harvest, totally pods, pithy pod percentage, dry grain weight per plot and weight of 100 seeds. The result of the research showed that the application of compost of OPEB 10 tons/ha and boiler ash           5 ton/ha increased plant height, dried grain weight per plot and weight of100 seeds significantly compared with application boiler ash 2.5 tons/ha without compost of OPEB, but not significantly compared with other treatments. Abstract

Kailan included in a group of vegetables that have high economic value. Kailan low production occurred due to good soil physical, chemical and biological of soil due to the loss of nutrients in the soil. The addition of nutrients in the soil to increase crop production kailan can be done by way of fertilization. Fertilization can be done with use of organic fertilizers and inorganic fertilizers. The aims of this research are to determine the effect of some types fertilizer on the growth and yield of kailan and to obtain the best dose of treatment. This research was conducted experimentally by using completely randomized design (CRD) factorial with consisted of 5 treatments and 3remedial. The result of research show suggest that administering some kind of fertilizer for crops kailan significant on plant height, plant fresh weight, weight of plants suitable for consumption and the ratio of the root crown , but not significant on the number of leaves. NPK fertilizer with a dose of 0.025 kg/m2 is the best treatment to improve growth and crop production kailan.   Key Word :Some types of fertilizer, Kailan

Abstract

This study aimed to determine the effect of sago palm and pulp waste trichocompost get a dose of sago pulp waste trichocompost best in increasing the growth and yield of green beans. Research conducted experimentally using a randomized block design (RBD), which consists of 5 treatments and                               4 replications ie S0: Without Trichocompost waste sago, S1: Sago waste 15 tonnes/ha equivalent to 3 kg/2m2, S2: Trichocompost sago waste 12.5 tonnes/ha equivalent to 2,5 kg/2m2, S3: Trichokompos sago waste15 tonnes/ha equivalent to 3 kg/2m2 and S4: Trichocompost sago waste 17,5 tonnes/ha equivalent to 3,5 kg/2m2. The results those significant according to ANOVA, followed by Duncan's multiple range test at 5% level. Parameters measured were plant height, number of primary branches, flowering age, harvesting age, number of pods per plant, percentage pithy pods, seed weight per plot and weight of 1000 seeds. The results showed that application of trichocompost sago pulp waste on green bean plants increased plant height, number of primary branches, number of pods per plant, percentage pithy pods, seed weight per plot and weight of 1000 seeds. Giving trichocompost sago waste pulp at a dose of 17,5 tonnes/ha gives the highest yield in the number of primary branches, the percentage of peas pithy and weight of 1000 seeds. While the administration at a dose of 15 ton/ha gives the highest yield on plant height, number of pods per plant and seed weight per plot.  Keywords: green beans, sago pulp waste,  Trichocompost
