Abstract

The objective of the research was to determine growth and production of baby kailan (Brassica alboglabra L.) with giving Tricho-compost empty bunch of oil palm and get the best treatment for growt hand production of baby kailan. This research was conducted at the land of the Laboratory of Plants of Agriculture Faculty, University of Riau for 2 months. The research used Randomized Block Design (RBD) consisted of 5 treatments with four replications. The Tricho-compost empty bunch of oil palm treat ments as follows: P0 : Tricho-compost empty bunch of oil palm 0 ton/ha, P1 : Tricho-compost empty bunch of oil palm 3 ton/ha, P2 : Tricho-compost empty bunch of oil palm 6 ton/ha, P3 : Tricho-compost empty bunch of oil palm 9 ton/ha and P4 : Tricho-compost empty bunch of oil palm 12 ton/ha. Data were analyzed by analysis of variance and further test DNMRT at 5% level. Parameters observed were: plant height, number of leaves, leaf area, root volume, plant fresh weight per plot and weight of crop suitable for consumption per plot. The results showed application of Tricho-compost empty bunch of oil palm significantly affect to all parameters tested. The treatment of Tricho-compost empty bunch of oil palm 12 ton/ha is the best concentration for all parameters tested. Keyword : Brassica alboglabra L., tricho-compost empty bunch of oil palm

Abstract

Soybean crops are grain-producing potential to be developed and improved production, because of the diversity of its benefits. Soybean production can be enhanced by utilizing the existing land, tilling the soil well and provide fertilizer according to the needs of plants. Organic NPK fertilizer is one of the fertilizer that can be used to increase the production of soybean plants. This research aimed to influence a wide range of organic NPK fertilizer doses and getting the best dose for the growth and yield of soybean. This research has been conducted in the experimental field of the Faculty of Agriculture, University of Riau, Pekanbaru City for 4 months starting in July 2014 to October 2014. This research was carried out experiments using a randomized block design (RBD) with 6 treatments and 4 replications. The treatments used in this research is:           ( 350, 400, 450, 500, 550 and 600 ) kg/ha. Data were analyzed statistically using analysis of variance and tested further by using honest significant difference at 5% level. Organic NPK fertilizer significant effect on dry weight of plants, plant height, days to flowering, harvesting, amount pod, amount of pods pithy and production of dry seeds/m2. Abstract

This study aims to know the effect of kind of planting media and liquid complementary fertilizer and to know the best treatment on growth and yield of pakcoy plant on hydroponic system. The experiment was conducted in the green house of Faculty of Agriculture Riau University from July to September 2018. This researched experimentally by the form of 3x4 faktorials arranged according to a Complete Randomized Design (CRD)consisting of 2 factors. The first factor was planting media which were charcoal, burnt sawdust and cocopeat. While the second factor was liquid complementary fertilizer of Bayfolan with concentration of 2 and 3 cc.l-1 of waterand Gandasil-D with concentration of 2 and 3 g.l-1 of water. Theparameters observed were the plant height, number of leaves, fresh weight per plant, weight of worth consumption and root volume. The result showed that the giving of various planting media and liquid complementary fertilizerhas a significant effect on plant height, fresh weight and weight of worth consumption, but no significant effect onthe number of leaves and root volume. The aplication of liquid complementary fertilizer of Gandasil-D with a concentration of 3 g.l-1 of water and Bayfolan with a concentration of 3 cc.l-1 of water to the burnt sawdust media produced more leaves, heavier fresh weight and weight of worth consumption than other treatments.Keywords: pakcoy plant, planting media, liquid complementary fertilizer, hydroponic.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the interaction of organic manure and N, P and K fertilizeron the growth and production of onion as well as getting the best dosage. This research has been carried out in the garden Experimental Faculty of Agriculture, University of Riau from March to May 2016. The study consists of two factors, the first factor that manure with a dosage of 10 ton/ha, 20 ton/ha and 30 ton/ha. The second factor is urea, TSP and KCl which consists of three levels without treatment Urea, TSP and KCl, 1/4 the recommended dosage, Urea        125 kg/ha + TSP 50 kg/ha + KCl 50 kg/ha and 1/2 recommended dosage, Urea 250 kg/ha + TSP 100 kg/ha + KCl 100 kg/ha, which is arranged in a randomized block design (RAK). From these two factors obtained 9 treatment combinations, each treatment was repeated 4 times, thus obtained 36 experimental units. Observation Data were statistically analyzed using ANOVA, the results of variance followed by using Duncan's multiple range test at 5% level. The parameters measured were the number of leaves, number of tubers per hill, convolution bulb, tuber fresh weight per plant, tuber fresh weight per plot and weights shelf per plot. Data results shows that the best results using cow manure dosage of 30 ton/ha and urea 250 kg/ha, TSP 100 kg/ha, KCl 100 kg/ha.Keywords: Onion, Cow Manure, Fertilizer TSP and KCl

Abstract

Edamame soybean is the plant from Japan. Edamame soybean production has a relatively short lifespan than regular soy because it is harvested when the pods are young. Bioslurry is one of organic material that can be applied as a liquid organic fertilizer on edamame soybean, but the giving of bioslurry only in the short term has not been able to occupied the nutrient requirements for edamame soybean, so it needs the addition of organic fertilizers such as  anorganic fertilizer N, P, K. This study aimed to get the interaction effect of bioslurry and N, P, K fertilizers on the growth and production of edamame soybean (Glycine max (L) Merrill) and get best treatment. This study was a factorial experiment arranged in Randomized Block Design (RBD) consisting of 2 factors and 3 replications. The parameters observed were plant height, percentage of effective root nodules, plant dry weight, days to flowering, number of pods per plant, pod percentage pithy, weight of pods per plant and weight of pods per plot. The results showed that the interaction effect of bioslurry and fertilizer N, P, K did not affected the plant height and days to flowering and affected the percentage of effective root nodules, dry weight of pods per plant, pod percentage pithy weight of pods per plant and weight of pods per plot. Based on the research results of bioslurry application (500 ml /plant) and N, P, K (3.3+ 9.9+8.8)g/plot fertilizers gives the best results on the growth and production of soybean edamame. Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh kombinasi dosis kompos rumen sapi dan konsentrasi pupuk hayati serta faktor tunggal yang baik terhadap pertumbuhan dan hasil selada dengan sistem vertikultur. Penelitian dilaksanakan di Unit Pelaksanaan Teknis Fakultas Pertanian Universitas Riau Pekanbaru dari September hingga November 2018. Penelitian menggunakan Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK) faktorial. Faktor pertama ialah dosis kompos rumen sapi yang terdiri dari 10, 20 dan 30 ton.ha-1. Faktor kedua ialah konsentrasi pupuk hayati yang terdiri dari 0, 10, 20 dan 30 ml.l-1 air. Parameter yang diamati ialah tinggi tanaman, jumlah daun, berat segar per tanaman, berat layak konsumsi per tanaman dan volume rambut akar. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kombinasi kompos rumen sapi     30 ton.ha-1 dengan pupuk hayati 20 ml.l-1 air memberikan hasil yang lebih baik untuk berat segar dan berat layak konsumsi selada. Faktor tunggal pemberian kompos rumen sapi 30 ton.ha-1 menghasilkan pertumbuhan dan hasil selada yang lebih baik.Kata Kunci:  Tanaman selada, kompos rumen sapi, pupuk hayati, vertikultur

Abstract

This research is aimed to get the dosage of bio-slurry organic fertilizer solid suitable for growth and production of pakchoy plants. The research was conducted in Experimental Field of Faculty of Agriculture, University of Riau. The soil type used is Inceptisol. The study was conducted for three months starting from July to October 2016. The experiment was conducted experiments using Completely Randomized Design (RAL), which consisted of 5 treatments and 4 replications. The total experimental unit was 20 plots, with each plot contained 16 plants. Each plot was taken 4 randomly sampled plants. The observational data were analyzed statistically using Analysis of Varian (ANOVA), and Duncan Multiple Range Test at the 5% level. The observed parameters consist of plant height, leaf number, fresh weight of plant, fresh weight of plant worth consumption, root volume, shoot-root ratio and dry weight of the plant. The results showed that the treatment of bio-slurry organic fertilizer solid can increase plant height, leaf number, fresh weight of plant, fresh weight of plant worth consumption, root volume and dry weight of the plant. The best treatment for the production of pakchoy plants are bio-slurry organic fertilizer solid with a dose of 2000 g/plot (20 tons/ha).  Keywords: bio-slurry, organic fertilizer, pakchoy

Abstract

Plant oil palm (Elaeis guineensis Jacq.) is a plantation crop which plays an important role for Indonesia as a mainstay commodity. Palm oil seedling is the planting of seedlings in a planting medium, so that the seeds are ready to be planted permanently in plantations. The research aim is to determine the effect of the use some liquid fertilizer animal urine on seedlings of oil palm (Elaeis guineensis Jacq.) and get the animal urine liquid fertilizer suitable for oil palm seedlings. Research was conducted at the Faculty of Agriculture, University of Riau, from January to April 2015. The study conducted using completely randomized design (CRD), which is consists of 5 treatments, each treatment was repeated 4 times to obtain 20 units of trial, as for the treatment given is a liquid fertilizer that consists of animal urine: sheep urine, goat urine, urine buffalo and cow urine. Data were analyzed using ANOVA and continued with further test Honestly Significant Difference (HSD) at 5 %. Research that has been carried out, showing that administration of liquid fertilizer urine of different animals on oil palm seedlings showed the real effect of the parameters as height of seedlings, the increase in diameter hump, increase the number of stem of leaves and root volume, while observations ratio crown roots and dry weight of seedlings show the effect is not real. Goat urine treatment showed the best results for all parameters of observation. Keywords: liquid fertilizer, oil palm, main nursery

Abstract

The research was conducted at the experimental farm of the Faculty of Agriculture, University of Riau, Pekanbaru 12.5 Km Binawidya Campus from April to July 2016. Trial usingcompletely randomized design (CRD) factorial. The first factor utilization of organic fertilizer biological Green Botane consisted of 4 levels (0, 25, 50, and 75) g/ polybag plants and the second factor of fertilizers Rock Phosphate consisting of 3 levels (15, 30, and 45) g/polybag plants. The treatment was repeated 3 times. Data results were analyzed statistically operates with ANOVA andcontinued test of HSD (Honestly Significant Difference) at 5% level. The observed parameters isplant high, leaf number, diameter stump, root volume, the ratio of the canopy and root dry weight and analysis of plant phosphor uptake. Results indicate the interaction of biological organic fertilizer Green Botane and Rock Phosphate significant effect on the root volume, dry weight and the ratio of the canopy and roots, no real effect on the increase of high growth, leaf number, diameter core and analysis of phosphorus uptake. The combination of biological organic fertilizer Green Botane 75 g/polybag and Rock Phosphate 45 g/polybag is the best combination of the parameters and increase plant growth tends to increase. Keywords:Elaeisguineensis Jacq., biological organic fertilizers, Rock phosphate, Ultisol
