Abstract

The purpose of the study is to knowing effect of giving peel dragon fruit juice to weight of offal external in chicken through water White Gold X Lancy. This research had been conducted chicken that in animal husbandry in Cekomaria Street, Banjar Kedua, Peguyangan Kangin, Denpasar City, Bali during 8 weeks. The design used a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) consisting of 4 treatments and 4 repeating and in every repeating consisted of 3 crossbred chickens White Gold X Lancy. The treatments are, R0: Without addition of dragon fruit peel juice through drinking water, R1: Addition of 5% dragon fruit peel juice through drinking water, R2: Addition 10% of dragon fruit peel juice through drinking water and R3: Addition of 15% of dragon fruit peel juice through drinking water. The observed variables were head weight, neck weight, leg weight, blood weight, and hair weight. The results showed that treatments R1, R2, and R3 had a higher weight on the head, neck and legeach 4,71%, 4,21% and 8,83% than R0 significant different (P<0,05), but not significant different (P>0,05) weight on the bload and hair weight. Based on the result, it can be concluded that addition of dragon fruit peel as much as 5%, 10% and 15% affacted weight of head, neck and foot but not affected weight of blood and hair crossing chicken White Gold X Lancy aged 6-14 weeks. Abstract

This study aimed to determine the effect of the use of fermented dragon fruit powder by using yeast Saccharomyces cerevisiae toward the production of carcass broiler. The research was conducted at Research Station of Faculty of Animal Husbandry Udayana University, Jimbaran, Badung, Bali, for 5 weeks. This research used broilers type MB 202taken from PT Japfa Comfeed Indonesia Tbk which were 1 week old as many as 90 with a homogeneous weight. The design used was Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with 3 treatments and 6 replications, in which each replication consisted of 5 broiler aged 1 week. The treatments tried in this study were RKBN0: the ration was without dragon fruit skin, RKBN1: the ration had 5% fermented dragon fruit skin, RKBN2: the ration had 7% fermented dragon fruit skin. The variables observed were the weight of carcass, percentage of carcass, chest weight, thigh weight, wing weight and weight of back. The results showed that the chest weight with treatment of RKBN1 and RKBN2 had significant effect (P<0.05) compared to RKBN0 treatment while the weight of carcass, percentage of carcass, thigh weight, wing weight and weight of back had no significant effect (P>0,05) compared to RKBN0 treatment. Based on the results of the study it can be concluded that the administration of 5% and 7% dragon fruit skin flour fermented by Saccharomyces cerevisiae has an effect on chest weight and does not affect the production of carcass and other carcass parts. Abstract

This research hass been done in Mr. Budiono house which stay in Sidorejo Village, Rowokangkung District, Lumajang City, and this research in 1,5 mounth. This research progam is used Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with 4 treatment and 4 repetition and the contained in every repetition is 15 egg duck. P0 treatment as control (duck egg sprayed with warm water 38 oC), P1 (salt solution with dose 10 g/liter warm water 38 oC), P2 (salt solution with dose 20 g/liter warm water 38 oC), P3 (salt solution with dose 30 g/liter warm water 38 oC). The variable observed is egg weight, eeg indexs, fertility, egg shrinkage, DOD weight, mortality and hatchability. The result of research indicate the influence of spraying hybrid duck eeg with salt water to P0, P1 treatment and P3 not diffirent obvious (P>0,05) toward eeg weight, eeg index, fertility, eeg shrinkage and DOD weight but on P2 treatment real influence (P<0,05) toward mortality and hatchability. The conclusion of this research is influence of spraying hybrid egg duck with salt water on control consentration (P0), 10 g/liter warm water 38 oC (P1), and 30 g/liter warm water 38 oC (P3) hass not effect toward egg weight, egg index, fertility, shrinkage and DOD weight, but salt consentration 20 g/liter warm water 38 oC (P2) reduce embrio mortality during hatchability processed and increase egg hatchability. Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect ofthe effect of giving turmeric extrack to drinking water of quails on the percentage of carcass and commercial carcass parts. The research design used was a completely randomized design (CRD) consisting of 3 treatments and 6 replications, each replication containing 3 quails. Consisting of R0: quail given drinking water without turmeric extract (control), R1: quail given drinking water plus 1% turmeric extract, R2: Quail given drinking water plus 2% turmeric extract. The turmeric used in this study is the turmeric rhizome. The variables observed were slaughter weight, carcass weight, carcass percentage, and carcass cuts percentage which included chest, upper thigh, lower thigh, wing, and back. The results showed that quails that were given turmeric extract as much as 1% and 2% in drinking water had slaughter weights, carcass weights, carcass percentages, and commercial carcass cut percentages which were not significantly different (P>0.05) compared to controls. Based on the results of this study, it can be concluded that the use of 1% and 2% turmeric extract in drinking water did not affect slaughter weight, carcass weight, carcass percentage, and carcass pieces of 8 weeks old quail. Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh imbangan energi dan protein ransum terhadap karkas ayam kampung betina umur 30 minggu. Penelitian ini  dilaksanakan di Banjar Umadesa, Peguyangan Kaja, Denpasar - Bali  selama 10 minggu. Ayam yang digunakan dalam penelitian adalah ayam kampung betina dengan jumlah 48 ekor. Rancangan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) dengan empat perlakuan yaitu ransum dengan imbangan energi 3100 kkal/kg dan protein 22% (140 : perlakuan A), energi 3000 kkal/kg dan protein 20% (150 : perlakuan B), energi 2900 kkal/kg dan protein 18% (161 : perlakuan C), energi 2800 kkal/kg dan protein 16% (175 : perlakuan D). Setiap perlakuan terdiri dari empat ulangan dan masing – masing ulangan menggunakan tiga ekor ayam kampung sehingga terdapat 16 unit percobaan. Variable yang diamati dalam penelitian ini adalah; berat potong, berat karkas, persentase karkas dan recahan karkas yang terdiri dari: dada/breast, paha atas/thigh, paha bawah/drumstick, sayap/wing, dan punggung/back. Hasil yang diperoleh dianalisis dengan sidik ragam, apabila diantara perlakuan terdapat perbedaan nyata (P<0,05) maka dilanjutkan dengan Uji Jarak Berganda dari Duncan (Steel dan Torrie, 1989). Hasil penelitian dari pemberian imbangan energi dan protein dalam ransum ayam kampung betina dari umur 20 sampai 30 minggu menunjukkan berat potong, berat karkas, persentase karkas dan recahan karkas (dada/breast, paha atas/thigh, paha bawah/drumstick, sayap/wing dan punggung /back) tidak berpengaruh nyata pada perlakuan A, B, C dan D. Berdasarkan penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa : Pemberian ransum dengan imbangan energi dan protein 3100 kkal/kg : 22% (140 : perlakuan A), 3000 kkal/kg : 20% (150 : perlakuan B), 2900 kkal/kg : 18% (161 : perlakuan C), 2800 kkal/kg : 16% (175  : perlakuan D), tidak berpengaruh nyata terhadap berat potong, berat karkas, persetase karkas dan recahan karkas.

Abstract

Penelitian yang bertujuan untuk mengkaji pengaruh pemberian jus kulit buah naga (Hylocereus polyrhizus) dalam air minum terhadap karkas dan recahan karkas ayam Lohmann Brown umur 52 minggu telah dilaksanakan di Teaching Farm, kandang ayam petelur Fakultas Peternakan Universitas Udayana, Jimbaran, Badung, Bali selama satu bulan. Penelitian ini menggunakan ayam Lohmann Brown umur 48 minggu sebanyak 45 ekor. Desain penelitian yang digunakan adalah Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) yang terdiri dari tiga perlakuan dan lima ulangan, setiap ulangan terdiri dari 3 ekor ayam. Perlakuan yang diberikan adalah air minum tanpa jus kulit buah naga (KBN0), air minum yang diberikan jus kulit buah naga sebanyak 1% (KBN1), air minum yang diberikan jus kulit buah naga sebanyak 3% (KBN2). Variabel yang diamati : berat potong, berat karkas, persetase karkas dan recahan karkas (dada, punggung, sayap dan paha). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa berat potong, berat karkas, persentase karkas dan recahan karkas (dada, punggung, sayap, dan paha) pada perlakuan KBN0, KBN1 dan KBN2tidak berbeda nyata (P>0,05). Berdasarkan hasil penelitian ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa pemberian jus kulit buah naga dengan konsentrasi 1% dan 3% dalam air minum tidak mempengaruhi berat potong, berat karkas, persentase karkas, recahan karkas (dada, punggung, sayap dan paha) ayam Lohmann Brown umur 52 minggu. Abstract

Research on the effect of ration with Metabolic Energy and Crude Protein levels on the ration to the percentage of 30 weeks’ female chicken carcasses and internal organs which held in Peguyangan Kaja village, North Denpasar, Bali Province. The design used in this study is completely randomized design (CRD) with four treatments with the content of the ration Metabolic Energy (ME) 3100 kcal / kg and Crude Protein (CP) 22 % (treatment A) and treatment B, C and D by using Energy Metabolic and Crude Protein and for each treatment received 3000 kcal / kg and 20 % ; 2900 kcal / kg and 18 % ; 2800 kcal / kg and 16 %. Each treatment received four replications with the result that there are 16 units of the experiment. There are 48 chickens were used in the research. Variables observed in this study were heavily cut, carcas weight, carcass percentage, liver percentage, heart percentage, lymph percentage, and kidneys percentage. Then, the data were analyzed with analysis of variance, if there is a difference between the real treatments (P<0.05) then followed by the Duncan's Multiple Range Test according to Steel and Torrie (1989). The results showed that administration of rations with a proportion of Crude Protein and Metabolic Energy (3100 kcal / kg and 22 % (140,90); 3000 kcal / kg and 20 % (150) ; 2900 kcal / kg and 18 % (161,11) ; 2800 kcal / kg and 16 % (175)) did not really different (P>0.05) to heavily cut, carcass percentage, internal organs percentage such as the liver, heart, lymph and kidney in 30 weeks’ female chicken. The conclusion the effect of energy ration and protein ration is the influence of metabolizable energy and protein ration of 3100 kcal / kg and 22% (140.90) gives slaughter weight, carcass weight, carcass percentage and the percentage the better lower kidney of the treatment ration metabolizable energy and protein with 3000 kcal / kg and 20%; 2900 kcal / kg and 18%; 2800 kcal / kg and 16%.

Abstract

Studi ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji bobot dan potongan karkas ayam kampung persilangan White Gold X Lancy yang diberi jus kulit buah naga melalui air minum. Telah dilaksanakan di kandang milik peternak yang berlokasi di Jalan Cekomaria, Peguyangan, Banjar Kedua, Denpasar. Selama 8 minggu. Penelitian dilaksanakan dengan menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) yang terdiri dari empat perlakuan, yaitu: R0: Tanpa pemberian jus kulit buah naga melalui air minum, R1: Penambahan 5% jus kulit buah naga melalui air minum, R2: Penambahan 10% jus kulit buah naga melalui air minum dan R3: Penambahan 15% jus kulit buah naga melalui air minum. Variabel yang diamati adalah bobot potong, bobot karkas, persentase karkas, bobot dada, paha, sayap, dan punggung. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa pemberian perlakuan R1, R2 dan R3 masing – masing 5,64%, 8,20% dan 8,87% lebih tinggi (P<0,05) dari pada R0 (kontrol). Sedangkan perlakuan R1 2,77% lebih rendah dari R2 (P>0,05) pada bobot dada. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa pemberian jus kulit buah naga sebanyak 5%, 10% dan 15% berpengaruh terhadap bobot dada, paha dan persentase karkas, tetapi tidak berpengaruh terhadap bobot potong, bobot karkas,sayap dan punggung ayam persilangan White Gold X Lancy umur 14 minggu. Abstract

Penelitian bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pemberian ransum yang mengandung suplemen berprobiotik terhadap organ dalam itik bali jantan umur 8 minggu.  Penelitian dilakukan selama 13 minggu.  Itik yang digunakan adalah itik bali jantan sebanyak 75 ekor dengan umur 2 minggu dan bobot badan awal 152,00-152,87 g.  Metode yang digunakan adalah Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) yang terdiri dari 5 perlakuan dan 3 ulangan tiap unit perlakuan menggunakan 5 ekor itik bali jantan. Kelima perlakuan tersebut terdiri dari RSP0 (ransum basal tanpa suplemen berprobiotik), RSP20 (95% ransum basal dengan 5% SP20), RSP40 (95% ransum basal dengan 5% SP40), RSP60 (95% ransum basal dengan 5% SP60), RSP80 (95% ransum basal dengan 5% SP80).  Variabel yang diamati dalam penelitian ini yaitu hati, jantung, empedu dan limpa.  Data diperoleh dianalisis dengan sidik ragam, apabila terdapat hasil berbeda nyata (P>0,05), maka analisis dilanjutkan dengan menggunakan Uji Jarak Berganda dari Duncan (Steel dan Torrie, 1993).  Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pemberian suplemen berprobiotik dalam ransum itik memberikan pengaruh berbeda tidak nyata (P>0,05) terhadap organ dalam (hati, jantung, empedu dan limpa) itik bali jantan umur 8 minggu.  Hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa penggunaan ransum basal (RSP0) dan  suplemen berprobiotik (RSP20, RSP40, RSP60 dan RSP80) tidak berpengaruh terhadap  organ dalam (hati, jantung, empedu, dan limpa) pada itik jantan umur delapan minggu.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the quality of eggs of chicken placed on wooden box, wire box and egg tray carton for 7 days. The research was conducted at Poultry Livestock Laboratory of Faculty of Animal Husbandry for 3 week. This research used a sample of 90 chicken eggs. The design used was Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with 6 replication and three treatments: storage using wooden box, wire box and carton egg tray at average temperature 25oC. The variables observed on egg quality test were egg weight, egg index, thick of shell, heavy of shell, yolk color, egg pH, Hought Unit egg. The result showed that storage area egg tray had significant effect (P <0,05) to the Hought Unit egg compared wooden box and wire box. While the treatment wooden box and wire box to weight of egg, egg index, thick of shell, yolk colour and pH of egg showed non significant effect (P> 0,05). From the results of this research can be concluded that chicken eggs placed on carton egg tray for 7 days can provide better quality.
