Abstract

This study aims to determine the performance of Isa Brown chicken aged 99-103 weeks who were given a commercial ration with seashell flour supplementation. The Research held in Pesedahan Village, Manggis District, Karangasem, Bali. The design used was a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with 4 treatments and 5 replications, and each replication used 5 chickens. The treatment given is; layer chickens were given commercial rations without additional seashell flour (A), chickens were given commercial rations and 1% seashell flour (B), chickens were given commercial rations and 2% seashell flour (C), chickens were given commercial rations and 3% seashell flour (D). The variables observed were feed consumption, hen-day production, egg weight, feed conversion and Income Over Feed Cost (IOFC). The results of this study indicate that the administration of 1%, 2%, and 3% shellfish flour in commercial rations gives results that have no significant effect (P> 0.05) on ration consumption, ration consumption, hen-day production, egg weight, conversion ration but out can increased the Income Over Feed Cost (IOFC) compared to control treatment (A). Based on the results of this study it can be concluded that the administration of seashell flour by 1%, 2%, and 3% gives the same results on ration consumption, hen-day production, egg weight and ration conversion but can increase the Income Over Feed Cost. Abstract

Penelitian mengenai pengaruh imbangan energi dan protein terhadap kualitas telur ayam kampung umur 20-30 minggu, telah dilakukan di Banjar Umadesa Desa Peguyangan Kaja, Denpasar Utara, Provinsi Bali. Penelitian ini berlangsung selama 10 minggu. Rancangan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) dengan empat perlakuan dan empat ulangan. Perlakuan yang digunakan yaitu; ransum dengan kandungan energi 3100 kkal/kg dan protein 22% untuk perlakuan A, sedangkan perlakuan B, C, dan D menggunakan energi dan protein masing – masing 3000 kkal/kg dan 20% ; 2900 kkal/kg dan 18% ; 2800 kkal/kg dan 16%. Setiap perlakuan terdiri dari empat ulangan dan masing – masing ulangan menggunaka tiga ekor ayam kampung, sehingga terdapat 16 unit percobaan dan jumlah keseluruhan ayam yang digunakan sebanyak 48 ekor. Variabel yang diamati adalah berat telur, tebal kulit telur, indek telur, warna kuning telur dan haugh unit. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis dengan sidik ragam, apabila diantara perlakuan terhadap perbedaan yang nyata ( P < 0,05 ), maka dilanjutkan dengan uji jarak berganda dari Duncan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pemberian ransum dengan imbangan energi dan protein ( 3100 kkal/kg dan 22% ; 3000 kkal/kg dan 20% ; 2900 kkal/kg dan 18% ; 2800 kkal/kg dan 16% ) tidak berpengaruh nyata (P>0,05) terhadap bobot telur, tebal kulit telur, indek telur, warna kuning telur dan haugh unit pada ayam kampung umur 20-30 minngu.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan kulit buah naga merah (Hylocereus polyrhizus) terfermentasi dalam ransum terhadap external offal broiler. Penelitian dilaksanakan di Teaching Farm Fakultas Peternakan Universitas Udayana, Jimbaran, Badung, Bali yang berlangsung selama 5 minggu. Broiler yang digunakan sebanyak 90 ekor. Desain penelitian yang digunakan adalah Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) yang terdiri atas 3 perlakuan dan 6 ulangan. Setiap ulangan terdiri dari 5 ekor ayam. Ketiga perlakuan tersebut adalah RKBN0 : ransum tanpa kulit buah naga merah sebagai kontrol, RKBN1 : ransum dengan kulit buah naga merah difermentasi 5 %, dan RKBN2 : ransum dengan kulit buah naga merah difermentasi 7%. Variabel yang diamati dalam penelitian ini yaitu bobot kepala, leher, kaki, dan bulu. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa perlakuan RKBN0, RKBN1, dan RKBN2 berbeda tidak nyata (P>0,05) terhadap bobot kepala, leher, kaki, dan bulu broiler umur 5 minggu. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa pemberian ransum kulit buah naga merah (Hylocereus polyrhizus) sebanyak 5% dan 7% tidak berpengaruh terhadap bobot kepala, leher, kaki, dan bulu broiler umur 5 minggu. Abstract

This experiment was conducted to find out performance of broiler was given turmeric, tamarind, and mixed turmeric and tamarind on drinking water used Completely Randomized Design (CRD) consisting of 4 treatments dan 5 replications. The treatments are given without turmeric and tamarind (A), 2% turmeric (B), 2% tamarind (C), and mixed 1% turmeric and 1% tamarind (D). The observed variables are initial body weight, final body weight, daily body weight, feed consumption, water comsuption, and FCR. The results indicated that was given 2% turmeric (B), 2% tamarind (C) and mixed 1% turmeric and 1% tamarind (D) significantly increased (P<0,05) of final body weigth, daily body weight, water comsuption, and FCR but different significantly (P>0,05) of feed comsuption compared to the control (A). Based on concluded that was given 2% turmeric (B), 2% tamarind (C) and mixed of 1% turmeric and 1% tamarind (D) on water drinking able to provide the same ration consumption, but can increased of final body weight, daily body weight and efficient in untilizing rations while broiler was given mixed 1% turmeric and 1% tamarind (D) can increased water comsuption.

Abstract

A study aimed at studying the performance and production of Balinese duck carcasses that were given rations containing biosupplement-based waste of rumen content, conducted in the village of Peguyangan, Denpasar, Bali, for 3 months. Four biosupplements produced in this study were 1) BR0 = biosupplement with fermented rumen based waste without bacterial isolates, 2) BR1 = biosupplement with fermented rumen based waste with superior 1 cellulolytic bacteria inoculant (BR3.5), 3) BR2 = biosupplement with fermented rumen based waste with superior 2 cellulolytic bacterial inoculants (BR3.3), 4) BRmix = biosupplement with fermented rumen based waste with combination of superior cellulolytic bacteria 1 and 2 (BR3.5 and BR3.3), The study was carried out with Completely Randomized Sampling/CR Design with 5 treatments and 3 repetitions, in which each repetition consisted of 5 Balinese ducklings aged 2 weeks. The treatment given was to ducks given supplemented ration with BR0; BR1; BR2; BRmix, respectively for the treatment of R1; R2; R3; and R4, as well as ducks that were given basal rations without supplementation (R5). The results showed that the performance of duck that received treatment of R2 was significantly better (P<0,05) than R1, R3, R4 and R5, while the carcass butching weight and fat weight were not significantly different (P>0,05) . Based on the results obtained, it can be concluded; 1) the performance of Balinese ducks receiving ration biosupplement of R2 is better compared to R1, R3, R4 and R5; 2) Meat production/ducks carcasses to the weight of butchery, carcass production, non-carcass parts and body fats are not significantly real between all treatments.

Abstract

Pragmatics is a branch of linguistics that studies the relationship between the context outside the language and the meaning of speech through interpretation of the situation in which it is spoken. There are many aspects of pragmatics; one of them is dealing with speech acts. Speech acts consist of many categories; one of them is directive speech act. This study aims to identify the directive speech act performed in “The Sea Beast” movie. Likewise, it will find out how often the directive speech act performed and which type of directive speech act that are most frequently used in the movie. This study used qualitative method in which data collection is done by watching the movie, analyzing the body movement and the dialogues of each character, and reading the script. A total of 50 directive speech acts were successfully identified. The result of analysis showed that the directive speech act of command is the most frequently used in the movie which had 15 data. The least frequently used directive speech act is warning which had 1 data. The study also revealed the importance of directive speech act in keeping the flow of storyline of the movie. This study is expected to give some useful insights in understanding what directive speech acts is. Keywords: pragmatics, directive speech act, The Sea Beast movie

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pemberian biji pepaya melalui air minum terhadap penampilan ayam broiler umur 0-4 minggu. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di Desa Selanbawak, Kecamatan Marga, Kabupaten Tabanan, Bali yang dilaksanakan selama 4 minggu. Rancangan yang digunakan adalah Rancangan Acak Lengkap dengan 4 perlakuan dan 4 ulangan setiap ulangan berisikan 5 ekor ayam broiler sehingga jumlah total ayam broiler yang digunakan adalah 80 ekor. Perlakuan yang diberikan yaitu ayam broiler yang diberi air minum tanpa ekstrak biji pepaya (A), ayam broiler yang diberi perlakuan 1% ekstrak biji pepaya pada air minum (B), ayam broiler yang diberi perlakuan 2% ekstrak biji pepaya pada air minum (C), ayam broiler yang diberi perlakuan 3% ekstrak biji pepaya pada air minum (D). Variabel yang diamati adalah konsumsi ransum, konsumsi air minum, pertambahan berat badan, berat badan akhir, dan FCR. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa perlakuan pemberian ekstrak biji pepaya 1% (B), 2% (C) dan 3% (D) melalui air minum tidak berpengaruh nyata (P>0,05) dari perlakuan A (tanpa ekstrak biji papaya) terhadap konsumsi ransum, konsumsi air minum, pertambahan berat badan, berat badan akhir, dan FCR ayam broiler. Dari penelitian ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa pemberian 1%, 2%dan 3% ekstrak biji pepaya melalui air minum tidak berpengaruh nyata terhadap peningkatan penampilan ayam broiler umur 4 minggu.Kata Kunci: Ayam broiler, Ekstrak biji pepaya, Penampilan ayam broiler

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pemberian jus kulit buah naga melalui air minum terhadap penampilan ayam broiler yang telah dilaksanakan di Desa Buahan, Kecamatan Penebel, Kabupaten Tabanan selama 5 minggu. Penelitian ini menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) yang terdiri dari empat perlakuan, empat ulangan dan masing-masing ulangan terdiri dari empat ekor ayam. Perlakuan yang diberi yaitu broiler diberi air minum tanpa jus kulit buah naga melalui air minum (P0), broiler yang diberi 2% jus kulit buah naga melalui air minum (P1), broiler yang diberi 4% jus kulit buah naga melalui air minum (P2), dan broiler yang diberi 6% jus kulit buah naga melalui air minum (P3). Variabel yang diamati meliputi konsumsi ransum, konsumsi air minum, berat badan akhir, pertambahan berat badan dan FCR. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa konsumsi ransum dan konsumsi air minum tidak berbeda nyata (P>0,05) dibandingkan ayam broiler yang mendapat perlakuan P0. Berat badan akhir perlakuan P2 dan P3 nyata (P<0,05) lebih tinggi dibandingkan ayam yang mendapat perlakuan P0 dan P1. Pertambahan bobot badan ayam broiler yang mendapat perlakuan P1, P2, dan P3 nyata (P<0,05) lebih tinggi di bandingkan perlakuan P0, sedangkan nilai FCR keempat perlakuan tidak berbeda nyata (P>0,05). Berdasarkan hasil penelitian disimpulkan bahwa pemberian jus kulit buah naga melalui air minum sama dapat meningkatkan konsumsi ransum, konsumsi air minum, dan nilai FCR sedangkan pemberian jus kulit buah naga dalam air minum pada level 2%-6% mampu meningkatkan berat badan akhir dan pertambahan berat badan.Kata Kunci: Jus kulit buah naga, broiler, performa

Abstract

This research aims to determine the effect of papaya leaf extract (Carica papaya L) added to drinking water and the organoleptic value of joper chicken meat. This research was conducted at the Laboratory of Animal Product Technology and Microbiology, Faculty of Animal Husbandry, Udayana University for 2 months from February to March 2021. This research used a complete random design (CRD) with 4 treatments and 4 replications assessed by 20 semi-trained panelists. The data were processed by non parametric kruskall wallis test if there was a significant differences, it was followed by man witney. The four treatments were: papaya leaf concentration as much as 0 ml as a control (P0), papaya leaf concentration as much as 25 ml (P1), papaya leaf concentration as much as 30 ml (P2), papaya leaf concentration as much as 35 ml (P3). The variables observed were the organoleptic test which included color, aroma, texture and tenderness, flavour, bitterness level, and total acceptance. The results showed that the effect of adding papaya leaf extract (Carica papaya L) to drinking water had a significant effect (P <0.05) on color, aroma, texture and tenderness, flavour, bitterness level, and total acceptance. The conclusion of this research is the addition of papaya leaf extract to drinking water which can affect the organoleptic quality of joper chicken meat. The optimal concentration of papaya leaves to produce good organoleptic quality is 30 ml, with sensory criteria of golden brown color, fishless aroma, increased tenderness and absence of bitter taste in meat.

Abstract

ABSTRAK Penelitian yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh kalsium-asam lemak sawit (Ca-ALS) dan kalsium (Ca) dalam ransum terhadap bobot telur, tebal kerabang, dan kekuatan kerabang ayam petelur Lohman, telah dilaksanakan selama 20 minggu. Rancangan percobaan yang digunkanan adalah rancangan acakl lengkap (RAL) pola faktorial. Sebagai faktor pertama adalah tingkat penggunaan kalsium-asam lemak sawit (Ca-ALS) sebesar 5%, 10%, dan 15%. Faktor kedua adalah tingkat kalsium yang digunakan 2,75%, 3,00% dan 3,25% . Ayam yang digunakan sebanyak 280 ekor didistribusi kedalam 9 kombinasi perlakuan dan satu kontrol, setiap perlakuan terdiri atasb7 ulangan dan setiap ulangan terdiri atas 4 ekor ayam. Ransum yang digunakan mengandung energi metabolis 2620 kkal/kg dan protein kasar sebesar 16%. Ransum dan air minum diberikan secara adlibitum. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa penggunaan kalsium-asam lemak sawit (Ca-ALS) sampai 15% dalam ransum ayam petelur Lohman dapat dimanfaatkan dengan baik sebagai sumber asam lemak dan kalsium untuk menghasilkan bobot telur, dan ketebalan kerabang telur. Penggunaan Ca-ALS 15% akan lebih baik dengan penambahan 3,25% kalsium (Ca) dibanding 2,75%, 3,0% untuk meningkatkan kekuatan kerabang telur di awal dan akhir bertelur, diukur pada posisi vertikal atau horizontal. THE EFFECT OF CALCIUM–PALM FATTY ACID (Ca-PFA) AND CALCIUM FOR EGG WEIGHT, EGG SHELL THICKNESS, AND SHELL STRENGTH OF LOHMAN LAYING HENS ABSTRACK The aims of this experiment were to study the effect of calcium-palm fatty acid (Ca-PFA) and calcium in the ration for egg weigh, egg shell thickness, and shell strength of Lohman laying hens was done fot 20 weeks. A completly randomized design (CRD) with factorial used in this experiment, the first factor was 5%, 10%, 15% Ca-PFA and second factor was 2.75%, 3.00% and 3.25% calcium . The treatment consisted 7 replicates with 4 laying hens each and control, totally used 280 laying hens. All feed is iso caloric (ME: 2620 Kcal/kg) and iso protein (CP:16%). Feed and water were offered adlibitum. Result of this experiment showed that used of palm fatty acid (Ca-PFA) until 15% in rations Lohman laying hens to utilized fatty acid and calcium resources for increased egg weigh , egg shell tickness. But can be better with addition 3.25% calcium equal 2.75%, 3.0% increased egg shell strength in vertical or horizontal position, in beginning or finished of layed.
