Abstract

Abstract Mostly, teachers’ class management was seen to be lack with appropriate learning methods for the students. In fact, there were numbers of learning methods that were possible to be implemented by teachers in the learning process especially for dancing. One of them was the group method. This research aimed at determining the influence of using this method. The design of research was the class action research. The objects of the research were 24 fifth grade students of SD Plus Marhamah. The learning process was conducted within two cycles. The findings of the research showed that there was an improvement on students’ dancing abilities. It was observed from their increased scores from the first cycle to the second cycle. In the first cycle, students’ dancing average score was 61.87. The score increased in the second cycle to 73.75. It was concluded that the implementation of the group method had successfully improved the fifth grade students’ dancing abilities at SD Plus Marhamah Padang. The improvement was seen from the increased dancing scores gotten by the students.   Kata kunci: Kemampuan Menari, Metode Kelompok

Abstract

AbstractThis article aims to reveal and explain the impact of exploration on dance lessons in SMP Negeri 4 Kota Solok. This research will trace the learning process of dance by using exploration. The type of this research is qualitative with descriptive method of analysis, because this research tries to make description, description about a real situation which is in accordance with reality. Data obtained by direct observation and interview, test techniques are not required in this study. The main instrument in this study is the researchers themselves, who became the object of this study is the students of class VIII-B in SMP Negeri 4 Kota Solok. From the result of this research, it is concluded that in the learning of traditional dance in SMP Negeri 4 Kota Solok, the exploration has an impact on supporting the imagination, and the creative power and the ability of students in giving birth to new movements which is the development of motif of traditional dance movement. Another impact is the appearance of self-confidence in students, students have the ability to express simple dance moves performed in groups. Keywords: Exploration, Dance Learning

Abstract

Abstract This study aims to determine the evaluation model used by teachers in teaching dance at SMA Negeri 2 Padang. This research described the effectiveness of evaluation model that is implemented in learning dance. This qualitative research used descriptive analysis, which seeks to create a description on the actual situation in accordance with the reality. Data were taken from 3 meetings of learning process. The sample in this study was the dance teacher SMAN 2 Padang and 30 students of XI IPA 1. Techniques of data collection were observation and interviews. The findings of the study shows that the evaluation model used by teachers in teaching dance is a congruence with evaluation model (appropriate), because in Teaching and Learning processes are in accordance with the purpose of learning dance, learning experience, and learning outcomes of the students. The instruments to measure students’ achievement were practice tests and theory mastery test. Meanwhile, students’ learning outcomes are seen from three aspects: cognitive, affective and psychomotor. Based on the data that has been collected, the effectiveness of evaluation model can be seen from the correspondence between the learning objectives to understand all the material in the lesson plans with students’ learning outcomes is very significant.

Abstract

AbstractThis article the aim to investigate the implementation of cooperative learning strategy in grade  X5  in learning dance at SMAN 1 Pulau Punjung Dharmasraya District.This research wa a Classroom Action  Research (CAR). The objects of this research were student in X5 in SMAN 1 Pulau Punjung which consisted of 26 students. The instruments of this research were the researcher as the observer and several aids such as observation sheet and learning outcome instrument. The data were collected through observation, documentation, and achievement test, furthermore, the data were collected by using data analysis techniques to select and analyze its validity. Findings of this research indicate that the implementation of cooperative learning strategy in SMAN 1 Pulau Punjung was effective and succesful during 2 cycles with 6 meeting each. Student were motivated to learn it could be seen from the learning goals of traditional dance that had been acheved in the aspects of physical, rhytim and sense assessment. The average score of students learning outcomes in cycle I was 68,8and it increased in cycle II which was 87,5. It can be said that this research was conducted well since the use of cooperative learning strategyin learning dance at SMA N 1 Pulau Punjung Dharmasraya District improved students’ ability in Galombang motion.Keywords: Learning outcomes, Method, Dance

Abstract

Abstract This research was designed for revealing and describing Randai training for the students with visual impairment at Panti Sosial Bina Netra Kuranji Kota Padang related to movement, music, and plot. This was a qualitative research which used descriptive method. The data was gotten through direct observation and interview. The data was analyzed based on Randai training process joined by the students with visual impairment. The   result   of   this   research   was   expected   to   increase   the   students' independence and self-confidence although they were visually impaired. They were initially unwilling to perform Randai as they were afraid of being mocked by others. But, the motivation given by the trainers and the teachers teaching at panti had made them enthusiastic to perform Randai. The Randai skill they got made them feel better even though they could not present it as normal people did. Regardless their visual impairment, in the process of training, the students were very passionate. Key words: Randai Training For The Students With Visual Impairment

Abstract

This study aims to determine and describe the impacts of using WhatsAppas a communication tool in dancelearningfor class XI IPS 3 at SMA Negeri 5 Padang. This is a qualitative research using a descriptive method. The main instrument in this studywas the researcher itself and was assisted by supporting instruments such as cameras, photos, and interviews conducted online through WhatsApp. The data were collected through observation, interview, and documentation. The data used were primary and secondary data. The data analysis was conducted by clarifying each theme, adjusting and comparing the data, and describing the data. The results show that the use of communication tools through WhatsApp in dance learning for class XI IPS 3 at SMA N 5 Padang has both negative and positive impacts on teacher and students. The positive impacts for teacher are that it is easier for teacher to share information to students, andthe teacheris responsible for assignments. The teacher acts as a motivator.The negative impacts for teacherare that the materialshave not been presented completely, it is difficult for teacher to monitor student activities, facilities are limited, the teacher’shealth is bothered, and the learning process becomes less effective and efficient. The positive impacts for students are they areresponsiblefor the assignments given by the teacher, they are discipline with attendance, and they have enthusiasm in learning. The negative impacts for students are difficulty in understanding the material, increasing parental expenses (internet data), difficulty in focusing on learning, time problem, learning concentration problem, and health threat.

Abstract

Absract   This research aimed at describing students’ motivation in learning dancing at SMP Negeri 3 Koto Baru Kabupaten Dharmasraya. The objects of this research were the students of VIII.1 at SMP Negeri 3 Koto Baru Kabupaten Dharmasraya. Their motivation in learning dancing was related to both intrinsic and extrinsic motivation. The design of this research was qualitative research. The data was done in 2012/2013 at SMP Negeri 3 Koto Baru Kabupaten Dharmasraya. The data were obtained from observation, interview, and literature review. The findings of this research showed that there were some indicators in both intrinsic and extrinsic motivation for students in learning dancing. The indicators of intrinsic motivation were attendance, attention, motion, question, and exercises. Abstract

The article aims to describe the application of simulation methods to improve the learning outcomes of dance in class VIII.6 of SMP Negeri 7 Padang. This type of research is Classroom Action Research (CAR) or Classroom Action Research. The instrument of this study was the researchers themselves and assisted with supporting instruments in the form of observation sheets of student learning activities, knowledge tests (cognitive) and skills tests (psychomotor). The data collection technique used in each cycle is by observing, testing and documenting. The types of data in this study are primary data and secondary data. Student learning outcomes data were analyzed using mean techniques and using individual and group completeness criteria. The results of the study show that the application of simulation learning methods can improve the learning outcomes of Dance VIII.6 grade students at Padang 7 Public Middle School. Learning activities consist of positive activity and negative activity. Positive learning activities are with indicators asking questions, daring to argue, and doing assignments. Negative learning activities that are with indicators do not concern in class and do not go out of class. Learning activities in the first cycle were still low seen in positive activity 62% and negative activity 61%. While the second cycle obtained an average of 85% positive learning activities and negative learning activities 89%. The average learning outcomes in the first cycle were obtained 82 and the average learning outcomes in the second cycle were 89.4. So it was concluded that the application of simulation methods to improve the learning outcomes of Dance in class VIII.6 students at Padang 7 Junior High School had succeeded.

Abstract

Abstract This article aimed at determining students’ motivation in learning dancing at SMP Negeri 2 Padang. This research focused on factors which caused students’ low motivation to follow the dance lesson at SMP Negeri 2 Padang. The design of this research was the descriptive qualitative reseach. The object of the research was students’ motivation in learning dancing at SMP Negeri 2 Padang. The data were obtained from observation, interview, and literature review. The information was gotten from the art teachers  as well as students of SMP Negeri 2 Padang. The primary instrument in is research was the researcher herself while the secondary instruments were observation notes, recordings, and videos. The data were analyzed by using the phenomenology technigue. Based on the data analysis, it was found that students’ low motivation was due to the intrinsic and extrinsic factors from within themselves supported by the teachers’ performances such as the learning method and media used which could not improve students’ motivation.   Keywords: Learning Dancing, Students’ Low Motivation

Abstract

AbstractThis article aims to describe the cause of the low level of motivation Factors about students in learning the art of dance in high school development. This type of research is qualitative research methods a descriptive analysis. The object of this research is the motivation of students in learning the art of dance in HIGH SCHOOL Language Class x. development of UNP. Type of data captured is the primary data and secondary data. The main instruments in the collection of data are observation, interview, writing instruments, camera. Data collection techniques used in this research is now done by observation and documentation, interviews, observations. The results showed that the lack of student learning motivation in high school art lesson on UNP Development dance. Factors that affect the motivation of high school students learning construction of UNP on the subjects of dance are internal factors namely still less his perseverance in learning students in the task given by the teachers, there are still students When told to appear unwilling students flits, still a lack of awareness of students in asking if diberii the opportunity of learning the art of dance, and external factors i.e., classroom management, infrastructure. Keywords: Student Motivation, learning the art of Dance
