Abstract

This research discusses the Economic Token Technique Method for Improving Student Discipline at Muhammadiyah Gresik Elementary School. The aim of this research is to determine the effectiveness of the economic token intervention model to help students be more disciplined during the teaching and learning process for grade 2 students at Muhammadiyah Elementary School. The method used in this research is a quantitative method. The problem in this research is that students have low disciplinary attitudes when in class and also during the teaching and learning process. This is because the subject is a person who is not comfortable studying and remaining silent in class for a long time. In this problem, to overcome this problem, behavior modification is carried out using the token economy technique. The subject used in this research was 1 boy from class 2 of SD Muhammadiyah Gresik who had a low disciplinary attitude. This research aims to determine the increase in student discipline by modifying behavior using the token economy technique. In the implementation, research subjects were given intervention or treatment in the form of rewards by sticking stickers for 21 days with pretest, intervention and posttest stages, then their disciplinary attitudes were observed and at the end of the session if the target behavior that was changed showed good changes then the subject would be given a reward according to the agreement at the beginning. where the prize is exchanged for the number of stickers obtained during the session. This can be seen from the pretest results, the significance value obtained was 10 and for the posttest results the significance value obtained was 13. Based on the gain score calculation, it showed that the subject experienced an increase of 3 scores from the pretest score of 10 to 13. During the posttest this showed an increase but it was not significant.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of self-control on student learning discipline at SMPS Bilingual Al Azhar Paciran Lamongan. The sampling technique used in this study was saturated sampling technique, the sample in the study amounted to 61 students at SMPS Bilingual Al Azhar. The measuring instrument in this study is the Indonesian version of the Self-Control Scale with a total of 13 items and a 40-item Learning Discipline scale. The scale used uses a Likert scale with a choice of four alternative answers. The data analysis technique used in this study used simple linear regression. From the results of the research, it can be seen that there is an influence of self-control on student learning discipline at SMPS Bilingual Al Azhar Paciran Lamongan. It is known that the calculated F value is 19.432 with a significance level of 0.000 <0.001. So it can be said that the hypothesis is accepted, meaning that there is an influence of self-control on learning discipline at SMPS Bilingual Al Azhar Paciran Lamongan. The magnitude of the influence of self-control variables on learning discipline is 19.6%.

Abstract

Along with ongoing economic changes and globalization, people's shopping behavior is also changing. Sometimes, someone buys something not because of need, but just for pleasure. This leads to wastefulness known as consumptive behavior. This research aims to determine the differences in consumptive behavior based on gender among students of the Faculty of Economics at Muhammadiyah University of Gresik. This type of research is quantitative research. The participants in this research numbered 285 students. The measuring instrument used is the consumptive behavior scale (Fromm, 1995). The statistical analysis method used is comparative analysis with chi-square testing. The results of this research show no difference in consumptive behavior between male and female students with a significance value of 0.840 > 0.05. The data categorization results show that the majority of subjects are at a moderate level of consumptive behavior, with a percentage of 72% for male students and 73% for female students. It is hoped that both male and female students can manage their finances as well as possible by saving and prioritizing needs over wants.

Abstract

The highest level of alcohol consumption in education is among students. One of the factors causing the increase in alcohol consumption behavior and the rise in crime cases due to alcohol consumption is a lack of religiosity. Religiosity as the internalization of religious values related to belief in religious teachings. These beliefs are then actualized in human behavior. This research is included in the type of qualitative research with a case study approach. The conceptual boundaries of this research are religiosity, teenagers aged 18 - 21 years, and subjects who live in Village "X". The subjects in this research were teenagers who were alcoholics, both male and female, totaling 5 subjects. In this research, nonprobability sampling technique was used with purposive sampling. Subjects have a level of belief in God, religion and sin in their religion. Having high intentions can influence the subject's level of commitment to carrying out ritualistic activities. Subject knowledge regarding religious knowledge is fulfilled through developing digital media. Subjects' feelings towards ritual activities and their experiences of consuming alcohol vary. subject, no one mentioned behaving well because they were motivated by the teachings of their religion. All subjects felt comfortable with the circle of friends that the subjects were now living in. Factors that influence individuals to consume alcohol are environmental factors and the individual's own desires.

Abstract

Not all humans have self confidence. Something that can make someone has less confidence is their disability. The aim of this research is to know an overview of the special needs students’ self confidence development in SMA “X” Gresik Regency. This research used qualitative research method, with subjects: student with autism, slow learner, and light mentally disabled. Data collectives method that used are observation, interview, and documentation. Analysis data method used Miles and Huberman Model. This research used triangulation of technique and sources for checking data credibility. This research shows that student with autism can do activities by himself, believe with what he does, responsible, realized and accepted his imperfection, knows reason and effect behind his action, can build interaction with others, adaptation with environment, and tolerance with others. Student with slow learner can do activities and make decision by himself, responsible, realized and accepted his imperfection, knows reason and effect behind his action, adaptation with environment, and tolerance with others. In the other hand, students with light mentally disabled can not approach directly, need more time to approach them. The closest person have important role for special needs students’ self confidence development, like family, special needs teachers, and classmates.

Abstract

Mother as an individual has the right to feel happiness in herself and her life even if she has a child with special needs. There is a process that a mother who has a child with special needs goes through to finally achieve happiness in her life. This study aims to describe the happiness of mothers who have children with special needs, including disabilities, autism, and down syndrome at UPT Resource Center Gresik. This study used a qualitative approach with a case study research type and used data collection techniques in the form of interviews, observation and documentation. Data analysis techniques use the Miles and Huberman models. The data credibility technique uses triangulation techniques and member checks. Based on the results of the research conducted by the researchers, it was shown that the three subjects were happy with their condition as mothers who have children with special needs including disabilities, autism, and down syndrome. The three subjects can establish relationships with the surrounding environment, be fully involved in their children's activities, find meaning in life, be optimistic about their children's future, and be resilient or be able to rise from the problems they face.

Abstract

This community engagement program aims to enhance the understanding and capacity of teachers and parents in developing a child-friendly learning environment in Manyar District, Gresik. The main issue addressed is the lack of knowledge regarding Child-Friendly School (CFS) principles and the persistence of non-humanistic educational practices. A participatory seminar method was employed, combining educational and reflective approaches across three key sessions: material delivery, case discussions, and the development of school-based action plans. The results indicated a significant increase in participants’ understanding, with post-test scores improving by 37.4% compared to pre-tests. Furthermore, 86.7% of participants developed follow-up action plans, and two partner schools implemented safe zones and children’s expression corners in classrooms. This program demonstrates that collaborative educational strategies are effective in promoting school ecosystems that respect children’s rights and support their holistic development.

Abstract

SMK Manbaul Ulum Kebomas Gresik merupakan salah satu SMK swasta di Kabupaten Gresik yang berlokasi di Tengah kota tepatnya di Giri Kecamatan Kebomas Gresik. Sebagian dari mereka selepas SMK lebih memilih menjadi pekerja menjadi buruh pabrik atau berwirausaha. Kurangnya kesadaran tentang pentingnya pendidikan tinggi untuk masa depan mereka dan lebih berfikir pada kondisi yang saat itu terjadi menjadikan motivasi kuliah rendah. Sedangkan sebagian siswa yang berkeinginan melanjutkan pendidikan tidak mendapatkan informasi dan motivasi yang cukup untuk memantapkan dorongan untuk melanjutkan ke perguruan tinggi. Kegiatan pengabdian ini bertujuan membantu siswa SMK Mamba’ul Ulum Kebomas Gresik mengenali potensi diri mereka melalui pelatihan Achievement Motivation Training (AMT) yang terstruktur, sehingga meningkatkan motivasi siswa untuk lebih berprestasi dan mampu menyelesaikan kagiatan akademik mereka dengan sukses. Metode pelaksanaan mencakup penyuluhan motivasi berprestasi, psikoedukatif, tes minat (RIASEC Holland), tes kecerdasan majemuk (Gardner MI), pelatihan penyusunan tujuan hidup dengan pendekatan SMART Goal, serta refleksi diri melalui worksheet Goal Ladder. Hasil pengabdian menunjukkan bahwa 29 peserta mampu mengidentifikasi kecenderungan minat dan kecerdasan mereka secara akurat, serta menyusun tujuan hidup jangka pendek, menengah, dan panjang secara realistis. Pelatihan juga meningkatkan kesadaran dan motivasi intrinsik siswa terhadap pengembangan diri dan karir. Kegiatan ini menegaskan bahwa pelatihan AMT berbasis potensi diri sangat relevan untuk mendukung kesiapan karier dan pendidikan karakter siswa SMK.

Abstract

Mathematics is a very basic science tool. Counting skills are part of mathematics that can develop children's cognitive abilities and logical thinking skills. This program aims to determine the effectiveness of dakon media and positive reinforcement techniques in improving counting skills in subjects. The research method used is quantitative using a single-case experimental design. The conclusion in this study is the use of traditional dakon games and positive reinforcement techniques can improve counting skills in subjects with a gain score of 50.

Abstract

Idayatul Khasanah (190701009). Differences in Optimism in Students of SMA NU 2 Gresik Reviewed by Gender. This study aims to determine the Differences in Optimism in Students of SMA NU 2 Gresik Reviewed from Gender. This study uses a quantitative approach, with a comparative method. Respondents in this study were students of SMA NU 2 Gresik. The sampling technique with nonprobability sampling using accidental sampling technique. A total of 110 respondents. The scale validity test uses content validity. Reliability test uses Alpha Cornbach. This study uses an optimism scale with a reliability of 0,885. Data analysis uses a different test, namely the independent sample t-test. The results of the hypothesis test show that the hypothesis of this study (Hₐ) is rejected because the Sig. (2-tailed) value is 0.076> 0.05. So, there is no significant difference in optimism in gender. The unproven hypothesis in this study can be caused by various factors that influence students' overall optimism. These factors include socio-economic conditions, the culture that applies in the student's environment, the area of residence (village or city), and social interaction patterns that are formed in schools and families.
