Abstract

Keutapang Village is located in Nisam District, North Aceh Regency, Aceh Province with a village area of 123.4 ha. This village has 120 ha of agricultural land and rice as the main commodity, but the productivity of the planting season and harvest cannot be maximized due to the lack of irrigation that has been built, thus it is necessary to increase the effectiveness of irrigation management by mapping irrigation as information for village irrigation development planning. The rural irrigation map contains information on the location, situation and condition of irrigation, and the priority scale for improving the WEBGIS-based network. The purpose of this community service activity was to produce a village irrigation network map and educate village officials in increasing the effectiveness of irrigation network management through WEBGIS-based mapping. The mapping stages included measurement surveys using GPS, digitizing the surface of the area through Google Earth, depicting the layout with the AutoCAD application and making maps with QGIS/ArcGIS software. This community service activity in Keutapang Village, Nisam District produced informative and attractive village irrigation geospatial maps. The result of this activity is a digital irrigation map whose printout is submitted to the village officials. It is hoped that this map can be published and used as a basis for future sustainable village development planning.

Abstract

und: Blang Asan Village, Peusangan Subdistrict, Bireuen Regency, faces serious challenges in waste management due to low public awareness and limited waste transportation facilities. To address this issue, the village government, in collaboration with BUMDes Asan Jaya and Asri Waste Bank, introduced the Integrated Waste Management (PST) program, supported by the Environmental and Forestry Office (DLHK) of Bireuen Regency. This program utilizes digital technology through the Beclean application and the development of composters for organic waste management. Method: The main activities include socialization, training, technology implementation, community mentoring, and the operation of an Android-based waste management application integrated with the Waste Bank. One of the technologies implemented in this program is the Beclean application, which aims to reduce the amount of waste sent to final disposal sites by utilizing the application for integrated waste management. The program is designed using the SMCR (Source, Message, Channel, Response) communication model to ensure effective information delivery and implementation. Results: Indicate increased community participation in recycling and a reduction in the volume of waste sent to final disposal sites (TPA). Additionally, it has created new economic value by processing waste into useful products. The program's sustainability is ensured through regular evaluations to maintain its positive impact on the community and support Clean and Healthy Living Behavior (PHBS), including empowering the community to recycle waste into economically valuable products. Conclusions: Through this initiative, it is hoped that a circular economy system can be realized, enhancing economic growth through household waste management while minimizing environmental damage.

Abstract

AbstractA speed bump is a traffic engineering tool designed to control vehicle speed, particularly in residential areas, to enhance the safety of pedestrians and cyclists. This study employs the Enter and Stepwise methods using SPSS to analyze the impact of speed bumps on vehicle speed and related variables. The study results indicate that the relationship between installation distance (X4) and vehicle speed in area 3 (Y) for motorcycles is given by Y = 5.647 + 0.264 X4 with R² = 0.887. In contrast, for light vehicles, it is Y = 3.381 - 0.253 X4 with R² = 0.920. Among the five locations studied, location 2 exhibited the strongest correlation between speed, volume, and density, with a coefficient of determination (R²) greater than 0.5. In area 2, the relationship between volume and speed when crossing a speed bump has R² = 0.512. Meanwhile, in area 3, between speed bumps, the relationship between volume and density shows R² = 0.904, and the relationship between speed and density is R² = 0.804. These findings indicate that speed bumps' height and installation distance significantly impact vehicle speed patterns. Additionally, the relationship between volume, speed, and density is notably strong at several research locations. AbstrakAlat pengendali kecepatan atau Speed bump merupakan alat rekayasa lalulintas yang berfungsi untuk mengendalikan kecepatan kendaraan yang melintas disuatu ruas jalan, terutama di permukiman penduduk guna melindungi pejalan kaki dan pengendara sepeda. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Enter dan Stepwise menggunakan software SPSS untuk mengenalisis speed bump terhadap kecepatan dan variabel terkait. Hasil penelitian didapatkan bahwa hubungan jarak pemasangan (X4) dengan kecepatan kendaraan pada area 3 (Y) untuk sepeda motor diperoleh Y=5.647 + 0.264 X4 dengan R2 =0.887, dan kendaraan ringan Y=3.381 - 0.253 X4 dengan R2=0.920. Dari lima lokasi yang diteliti, hubungan antara kecepatan, volume, dan kerapatan menunjukkan korelasi terkuat di lokasi 2, dengan nilai koefisien determinasi (R²) 0,5. Pada area 2, hubungan antara volume dan kecepatan saat melintasi speed bump memiliki R² = 0,512. Sementara itu, hubungan antara volume dan kerapatan di area 3, yaitu di antara speed bump, menunjukkan R² = 0,904. Hubungan antara kecepatan dan kerapatan di area yang sama (area 3) memiliki R² = 0,804. Hal ini mengindikasikan bahwa tinggi dan jarak pemasangan speed bump memiliki dampak yang signifikan terhadap pola kecepatan kendaraan, serta hubungan antara volume, kecepatan, dan kepadatan memiliki keterkaitan yang kuat di beberapa lokasi penelitian.

Abstract

Trip attraction refers to the number of trip movements toward a specific location per unit of time. This concept is directly related to determining the total trips generated by particular land uses. The establishment of Suzuya Mall by the government has significantly increased private and public vehicle traffic in Bireuen City, leading to frequent road congestion. During peak movement periods, vehicles often stop or park along the road near Suzuya Mall, reducing overall road capacity. This study examines three key aspects: the characteristics of visitors to Suzuya Mall, the factors influencing trip attraction in this land use area, and the development of a trip attraction model for Suzuya Mall in Bireuen City. The research methodology incorporated questionnaire data collection and SPSS-based data processing. Analysis was conducted using multiple linear regression through SPSS 25 software, with model validation assessed through multicollinearity values, correlation coefficients (R), determination coefficients (R²), heteroscedasticity tests, significance values, and P-P plot graphs. The study yielded a comprehensive trip attraction model for all vehicle types: Y = 61.157 + 0.123(X₁) + 2.75(X₂) - 0.716(X₃) + 0.195(X₅), where X₁ represents age, X₂ denotes income, X₃ indicates distance, and X₅ reflects mileage. The model achieved a determination coefficient value of 0.964, demonstrating strong explanatory power for trip attraction patterns in the Suzuya Mall area.

Abstract

Roads are a transportation facility that is used by most people. If the road is damaged, it will disturb road users and make them feel uncomfortable when driving. This research method uses the Bina Marga method which determines the average daily traffic and axle load of vehicles that affect road damage on the uphill and downhill sections of the Simpang Ampeik-Sasak road section, West Pasaman Regency, comparing the average daily traffic figures with the determination of the figures according to the class and function of the road. Based on the calculation of the average daily traffic on the uphill and downhill sections, the values exceed the average daily traffic determination in passenger car units, which are worth 2,127 LHR in SMP on the uphill and 2,102 LHR in SMP on the downhill. Regarding the axle load obtained on the road section, vehicles are classified as 6a and 6b, indicating that the road exceeds the truck factor figure, namely 3,583 where the magnitude is 1. The Simpang Ampeik - Sasak road section in West Pasaman Regency experienced an overload, where the type of damage on the ascent and descent is corrugated.

Abstract

Soil investigation is a fundamental process in geotechnical engineering to assess subsurface conditions for construction projects. This study focuses on the experimental site at Blang Mane, where a borehole designated as BH-01 was drilled to evaluate soil stratification and properties. The investigation aimed to characterize the soil layers through drilling, sampling, and laboratory testing, including Standard Penetration Tests (SPT), to determine geotechnical parameters essential for foundation design.. The surface soil layer at Borehole (BH-01) location consists of 1.0 m of medium-dense gravelly sand. From 1.0 to 3.5 m depth, a layer of silty clay with medium to stiff/hard consistency is observed. Between 3.5 and 10.5 m lies a very dense sand layer, underlain by medium-dense silty clay at 10.5–12.5 m. A medium-dense sandy silt layer extends from 12.5 to 24.0 m, followed by medium-dense sand at 26.0–30.0 m. A very dense sand layer occurs at 30.0–32.0 m, transitioning to medium-stiff/hard clayey silt at 32.0–37.0 m. Sandy silt of medium density is present from 37.0 to 47.0 m, while very dense gravelly sand comprises the deepest layer (47.0–60.0 m). The groundwater table (GWT) at BH.01 is located 7.0 m below ground level.

Abstract

Jalan Bayu–Geudong yang terletak di Kecamatan Syamtalira Bayu, Kabupaten Aceh Utara, merupakan jalan nasional di wilayah utara Provinsi Aceh. Jalan ini berfungsi sebagai penghubung strategis antara Provinsi Aceh dan Provinsi Sumatera Utara. Pemilihan ruas jalan ini sebagai objek penelitian didasarkan pada fungsinya sebagai jalan kolektor serta kerusakan yang terlihat jelas di permukaannya. Berbagai jenis kendaraan, mulai dari ringan, menengah, hingga berat, sering melintasi jalan ini, sehingga menyebabkan penurunan kualitas perkerasan. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode survei lapangan untuk mengumpulkan data langsung dari lokasi jalan. Permukaan jalan dibagi menjadi segmen-segmen sepanjang 100 meter dengan lebar penuh jalan, di mana setiap segmen menjadi unit sampel penelitian. Kondisi permukaan jalan dinilai dengan berjalan menyusuri seluruh panjang jalan Bayu–Geudong sejauh 2,5 km. Untuk setiap segmen, jenis dan tingkat kerusakan diidentifikasi, diukur, dan dicatat, termasuk luas dan kedalaman kerusakan untuk setiap jenis kerusakan, menggunakan formulir standar. Berdasarkan perhitungan Surface Distress Index (SDI), nilai rata-rata SDI pada semua segmen adalah 34,9, yang menunjukkan bahwa jalan tersebut berada dalam kondisi baik dan termasuk dalam kategori pemeliharaan rutin. Data SDI kemudian diintegrasikan ke dalam ArcMap untuk menghasilkan peta analisis spasial yang mencakup atribut seperti nomor segmen, STA (stationing), koordinat, jenis kerusakan, dan tingkat kerusakan. Berdasarkan data kondisi dan analisis spasial, disusun rencana anggaran dan program kerja untuk mendukung upaya pemeliharaan dan perbaikan Jalan Syamtalira Bayu–Geudong, mencakup STA 0+000 hingga STA 2+500 di Aceh Utara.

Abstract

Transportasi memegang peran penting dalam mendukung pembangunan nasional, berfungsi sebagai penggerak, fasilitator, dan penghubung antarwilayah. Dalam perencanaan transportasi, pemodelan pemilihan moda menjadi aspek krusial mengingat peran strategis angkutan umum dalam membentuk kebijakan transportasi. Pada rute Lhokseumawe–Banda Aceh, penumpang dihadapkan pada pilihan antara dua jenis transportasi umum berbasis jalan: bus antar kota Putra Pelangi dan minibus HiAce. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi karakteristik pengguna transportasi umum, faktor yang memengaruhi pemilihan moda, serta probabilitas pemilihan bus Putra Pelangi atau minibus HiAce pada rute tersebut. Metode stated preference digunakan, dengan analisis data mengacu pada model binary logit melalui perangkat lunak SPSS. Hasil survei menunjukkan kecenderungan responden: 38 orang memilih bus Putra Pelangi, sedangkan 62 orang memilih minibus HiAce. Mayoritas penumpang berusia 20–30 tahun. Responden laki-laki cenderung memilih bus, sementara perempuan lebih memilih minibus HiAce. Dari segi pendapatan, penumpang dengan penghasilan Rp500.000–Rp1.000.000 per bulan cenderung memilih bus, sedangkan yang berpenghasilan di atas Rp3.000.000 lebih memilih minibus HiAce. Faktor-faktor tersebut terbukti signifikan memengaruhi pemilihan moda, dengan koefisien determinasi (R²) sebesar 0,963 atau 96,3%, menunjukkan kekuatan penjelas model yang tinggi. Fungsi utilitas yang diperoleh dari model binary logit adalah: Ubus-UHiace = 0.569 + 0.022X₁ + 0.108X₂ + 0.019X₃ + 0.129X₄ + 0.018X₅ Analisis probabilitas menunjukkan bahwa jika kedua moda transportasi ditawarkan dengan tarif yang sama, kemungkinan pemilihan bus Putra Pelangi hanya 4%, sedangkan minibus HiAce dipilih oleh 96% responden. Namun, jika tarif bus Putra Pelangi diturunkan sekitar Rp90.000, probabilitas pemilihan kedua moda akan setara, masing-masing dipilih oleh 50% penumpang.

Abstract

D.I. Reje Guru is an open system irrigation network located in Bukit District, Bener Meriah Regency, Aceh Province. Various problems were identified such as cracked lining and wild vegetation around the network. These issues have impact on water losses along the channels’ conveyances through evaporation, seepage, operational factors and leakage. The input – output discharge measurement is used to determine the water loss and the value of the efficiency of water distribution in the Irrigation network. In addition, the evaporation and seepage loss are also calculated to find out the percentage of the loss from these two factors. The results shown that the maximum and minimum loss is from BS3RG and BS4RG which are 0,027 m3/sec and 0,004 m3/sec, respectively. The values are correlated to the efficiency values which are the highest 84,23% from BS4RG and 36,908% from BS3RG. It is confirmed that the two factors of evaporation and seepage are not the significant factor to the conveyance water loss.

Abstract

Lhokseumawe City faces significant clean water distribution challenges due to increasing demand from population and economic growth. This study aimed to identify and evaluate the performance of the existing water distribution network using WaterCAD V8i. The methodology involved projecting water demand until 2033 based on 10 years of population data and conducting a hydraulic simulation of the current pipeline system. The simulation results showed that the 2023 clean water demand was 84.5 liters per second, with projections showing a significant increase by 2033. The analysis identified critical operational issues, including backflow in pipe segments P-230 and P-235 and extreme pressure loss gradients in others, with segment P-276 reaching 275 psi during peak hours. It was concluded that the network requires optimization to meet future demand efficiently. Improvement recommendations include replacing critical pipes, resetting valves, and adding pressure regulators to optimize flow.
