Abstract

Hemodynamic medicines are important to recover patients with a critical period in the ICCU. Hemodynamic medicines have a small range of dose so that it has a large effect on the therapy. Therefore, a study on the use of hemodynamic medicines and doses is necessarily conducted. This study aims to investigate the use and doses of hemodynamic medicines administered to patients in the ICCU of dr. Soedarso Hospital Pontianak. This study is observational research with a descriptive cross-sectional design. The research sample was 49 patients who had met the inclusion criteria. The data were analyzed descriptively to describe the frequency and percentage. The results show that a single hemodynamic medicine is administered to 65% of the patients and a combination of hemodynamic medicines is administered to 35% of the patients. The single medicine refers to dobutamine administered to 84.4% of the patients. Meanwhile, the combination of hemodynamic medicines consists of dobutamine and norepinephrine that are administered to 52.9% of the patients. The doses of hemodynamic medicines frequently administered to patients are 3-5 μg/kg/min dobutamine, 3-10 μg/kg/min dopamine, 0.01-2-2 μg/kg/min norepinephrine, and 1 mg/ml epinephrine. This study concludes that dobutamine (inotropic) is the most frequently used single hemodynamic medicine, and norepinephrine (vasopressor) is the most frequently used combined hemodynamic medicine for the ICCU patients at dr. Soedarso Regional Public Hospital, Pontianak.

Abstract

Abstract

Tikus dibagi menjadi 7 kelompok yaitu kontrol normal, kontrol negatif, kontrol positif vitamin E(18 mg/ kgBB), kontrol positif kuersetin (4 mg/ 200gBB), dosis I (5 mg/ 200gBB), Dosis II (10 mg/ 200gBB) dan dosis III (20 mg/ 200gBB). Kata Kunci : Stres oksidatif, Malondialdehid, Antioksidan, Hylocereus polyrhizus, Metanol ABSTRACT Excessive free radical production will lead to oxidative stress. One of the indicators used to determine stress oxidative is malondialdehyde (MDA). Hylocereus polyhizus peel is potential as natural exogenous antioxidant. The aim of this research was  to study the effect of methanol fraction of H. polyhizus peel on MDA level and  to determine that dose that could  reduce the MDA level. H. polyhizus peel was macerated with chloroform, fractionated with methanol. Measurement of MDA level was used Spectrophotometer UV-Vis in 532 nm.  Rats were divided into 7 groups : normal, negative, positive control vitamin E (18 mg/ kgbw), positive control quercetin (4 mg/200gbw), H. polyhizus peel extract group treated with dose I (5 mg/200gbw), dose II (10 mg/200gbw) and dose III (20 mg/200gbw). Each group consist of 4 rats and induced with oxidative stress by 10 minute swimming each day and food restriction for 5 days. MDA levels were analyzed using One way Anova and LSD test. The data shown that MDA level at normal, negative, vitamin E, kuarsetin, dose I, II, III group is 0.042; 0.051; 0.034; 0.042; 0.037; 0.033; 0,030 µg/ml. Abstract

Acnes can be caused by Propionibacterium acnes and Staphylococcus epidermidis. Red dragon (Hylocereus polyrhizus B & R) fruit peels is one of natural materials which is assumed to possess an antibacterial activity. The purpose of this study was to determine the antibacterial activity of red dragon fruit peels methanol fraction (RDFPMF) against S. epidermidis and P. acne by disc diffusion Kirby-Bauer method. Red dragon fruit peels were maceration in chloroform and fractionation in methanol. Clindamycin 4µg/disk was used as positive control and DMSO 10% was used as negative control. This research showed that the RDFPMF has antibacterial activity against P. acnes which the average of inhibition zones obtained from the concentrations from 100, 50, and 25 mg/mL respectively were 10.5 ± 0.50 mm, 10.0 ± 0.00 mm, and 8.5 ± 0.50 mm. The RDFPMF has no inhibition zone toward S. epidermidis. The red dragon fruit peels methanol fraction has antibacterial activity on P. acnes by disc diffusion method (Kirby-Bauer test).
