Abstract

This study aims to describe the types of errors experienced by students in solving mathematical word problems based on Newman's theory in terms of the learning styles of junior high school students. This type of research is a qualitative descriptive research. The subjects of this study were class VIII students at SMP Negeri 3 Pasuruan, Pasuruan Regency, for the 2022/2023 academic year. The subjects of this study were 2 students with visual learning styles, 2 students with auditory learning styles, and 2 students with kinesthetic learning styles. Data collection techniques in this study were observation, giving learning style questionnaires, social arithmetic story questions, interviews and documentation. The data obtained was tested for its validity by technical triangulation. The results of this study are 1) Students with a visual learning style tend to make all mistakes except reading and understanding problems, 2) Students with an auditory learning style tend to make all mistakes except reading mistakes and, 3) Students with a kinesthetic learning style also tend to make all errors except read errors.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi kelangsungan pemahaman membaca siswa serta jawaban mereka setelah penggunaan strategi LRD. Strategi LRD adalah alat yang ampuh untuk meningkatkan pemahaman membaca dengan sukses. Penelitian ini berfokus pada penelitian tindakan kelas yang dilakukan di MA Al-Hidayah. Ini memiliki desain kualitatif. Subyek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas X MA Al-Hidayah. Data berasal dari survei instruktur dan siswa, wawancara, dan observasi lapangan selama pembelajaran. Untuk menganalisis data penelitian ini, peneliti menggunakan beberapa teknik, antara lain mengakrabkan, mengorganisasikan, mereduksi, menafsirkan, dan mendeskripsikan. Hasil observasi menunjukkan bahwa siswa bersemangat menerapkan teknik LRD untuk meningkatkan pemahaman bacaannya. Teknik LRD membantu dalam mempertahankan perhatian terhadap materi pelajaran, sedangkan teknik mendengarkan dapat membantu siswa memahami konsep yang belum jelas. LRD juga merupakan teknik yang berguna untuk meningkatkan kemampuan pemahaman membaca siswa. Temuannya menunjukkan bahwa pendekatan LRD dapat meningkatkan pemahaman membaca siswa dan menanamkan semangat belajar mengajar dalam diri mereka. Teknik LRD juga diklaim berhasil diterapkan di kelas membaca.

Abstract

In Indonesia cases of stress due to workload in the work environment of the police have occurred in several areas and have had quite serious impacts.  The Research was conducted at the traffic police Special Region of Yogyakarta in 2019. This Research is a quantitative non experimental research with correlational descriptive. Data analysis techniques using multiple linier regression analysis. Respondents as many as 50 police Bantul Police Traffic Unit, the sample uses a saturated sample.The Study aims to determine the relationship of workload and work environment to work stress of Bantul Police Traffic Unit. The results of the study stated that the traffic police unit that has a light workload of 3 people (6%) moderate 39 people (78%) and weighs 8 people(16%) while the traffic unit police who have a light work environment are 6 people (12%) moderate work environment as many as 31 people (62%) and high work environment as many as 13 people (26%). While the traffic police who have low work stress are 6 people (12%) moderate are 34 people (68%) and heavy are 10 people (20%). Data Analysis using multiple linier regression with a coefficient of deternination. 1,907 and F calculated 49,41 and F table 3,23. The results of the study concluded that there was a relationship between workload and worke nvironment on the work stress of the traffic police at Bantul Region Police Station in Yogyakarta Keywords : Load, environment, Stress, Traffic Police unit

Abstract

Currently, technology has developed rapidly presenting various interesting features, one of the trending technologies is social media. To advance learning in the digital era, social media is very important in today's life, Tiktok is one of the well-known social media that can help improve students' speaking skills. This study aimed at finding out the process and perception of the students in using TikTok Application for their speaking skill. In this case, the researcher used a qualitative descriptive method. This research was conducted at STKIP PGRI Bangkalan, data collection using observation and interviews. The results of interviews with four sixth-semester English education study program students at STKIP PGRI Bangkalan are the source of data for this study. This study aims to determine students' perceptions of the use of Tiktok as a tool to improve speaking skills.  TikTok as a learning media is a very effective media because it has many benefits for students such as students easily get information related to courses, offers interesting features that encourage student enthusiasm for learning, this makes learning interactive, the duration of the video is short enough so that students are not easily bored, and TikTok provides English speaking exercises that can improve student speaking skills which can increase student confidence when speaking English. English speaking activities that can increase students' confidence and speaking ability and provide a better sense of confidence.

Abstract

This article discusses essay writing techniques, preposition and transitional words, and terms that cannot be lexically or syntactically comprehended but can be culturally understood. The purpose of this study is to discover language relativity in students' essay paragraphs utilizing a mind mapping technique in EFL learning. The researcher employed a descriptive strategy, observing and documenting the writing process in class. The participants were distinguished by their diverse living, educational, and professional backgrounds. These writings were descriptively assessed using appropriate literature, and observations were also undertaken to arrive at a reasonable interpretation. As a result, mind mapping with language relativity integrates meaningful students' knowledge such as history, linguistics such as preposition and transition word usage, and Indonesian cultural types and values such as Sarabi, Gempol Ice, and Rujak Cingur are Indonesian iconic culinary to organize and structure into essay writing fluently in EFL learning.

Abstract

In today's modern era, technological developments have brought many changes, even technology has also spread to the world of education. One of them is the technology of learning English this technology is known as Hello Talk the use of this application is also one of the impacts of the existence of technological developments. Hello Talk is an application to learn various languages, especially English. This research aims to find out how students use the Hello Talk application as a learning medium for English speaking skills this research is conducted online and the intended subjects are high school students who have long used the Hello Talk application as a learning media. This research is qualitative research and the data collection technique used by the researcher was the interview technique, the interview here involves 4 high school 11th-grade students. The results of this study indicate that the Hello Talk application can help students to practice speaking skills. Students stated that they preferred the teacher to use code-switching during class activities, even though they thought it to be relatively difficult to accomplish. In order to improve the learning process, they also suggested incorporating extra resources like online platforms and applications and encouraged engaged conversation in pairs or groups about their various subjects of study. In addition, the use of the Hello Talk application also has many features that can help develop students' speaking skills, such as Voice Room, Talking with native speakers, Calls, and voice notes.

Abstract

Kegiatan ini mengenai pelaksanaan penyuluhan mengenai bagaimana cara berkomunikasi dengan menggunakan media sosial khususnya untuk generasi Z. Generasi Z merupakan kaum yang hidup di jaman teknologi berkembang dengan pesat. Sebagai manusia sosial, berinteraksi dengan orang lain setiap hari sangatlah penting dan tidak dapat dihindari. Hal ini dapat dilakukan dengan menggunakan banyak peran media salah satunya yaitu berkenaan dengan berkembangnya dunia teknologi, maka hal tersebut juga menjadikan proses komunikasi menjadi lebih canggih contohnya media sosial yang ada sekarang ini. Kegiatan ini dilakukan bekerjasama dengan Diskominfo Jawa Timur dengan melakukan tahap persiapan meliputi pra-kegiatan, kegiatan, dan evaluasi. Sebagai hasil dari kegiatan ini didapatkan bahwa peserta memahami bagaimana peran mereka dalam melakukan komunikasi di era digitalisasi.

Abstract

Research on web-based vocabulary learning applications has gained momentum in recent years, reflecting the growing interest in technology-enhanced education across Indonesia. However, a comprehensive understanding of how these studies have evolved and contributed to the field remains limited. This systematic review aims to analyze research trends on web-based applications for vocabulary acquisition in Indonesia from 2019 to 2024, focusing on the themes, methodologies, and outcomes reported in these studies. Following the PRISMA framework, 80 studies were identified from databases such as Semantic Scholar and Garuda. After duplicate removal and relevance screening, 42 full-text articles were reviewed, with 35 meeting the final inclusion criteria. The analysis reveals an increasing focus on platforms like Duolingo, Quipper, and Memrise, with many studies employing experimental methods to assess vocabulary improvement. Key trends include the integration of gamification and multimedia elements to enhance engagement and learner motivation. The review reveals an increasing focus on web-based vocabulary learning applications in Indonesian research from 2019 to 2024, with most studies adopting experimental designs to evaluate short-term learning outcomes. The findings highlight several applications such as Duolingo, Quipper, and Memrise are frequently employed, with positive effects on vocabulary acquisition through gamification and multimedia features. However, the research predominantly focuses on small-scale implementations, with limited studies exploring long-term impacts or usage in diverse educational contexts.

Abstract

Health education about types of contraceptives needs to be prioritized to support accessibility and diverse choices for Women of Childbearing Age. With adequate knowledge so that they can choose the right contraceptive according to their physical condition, it is useful for preventing unplanned pregnancies. Unplanned pregnancies can have serious impacts on both maternal and child health. Women who experience this tend to delay antenatal care, which can have an impact on the health of the baby and mother. In addition, it often leads to abortion, both spontaneous and planned, which increases the risk of medical complications and maternal death. This community service was carried out at PMB Umayyah on October 25, 2024. The target of this activity is Women of Childbearing Age who already have partners. The purpose of this community service is to increase the understanding of women of childbearing age regarding the concept of family planning and appropriate contraceptive methods and to empower and ensure that they can make the right decisions for their reproductive health. With the right education, women of childbearing age can understand and determine the right contraceptive choices to plan a pregnancy properly

Abstract

Blood pressure is an essential factor in the circulatory system. Not all blood pressure in the objects is within normal limits, so it leads to disorders of blood pressure, hypertension and hypotension. Hypertension is a symptom in which abnormal pressure is high in the arteries, causing increased risk of stroke, aneurysm, heart failure, heart attack and kidney damage. Hypotence is a state where blood pressure drops below normal Numbers, which is a low of 90/60 MMHG. According to information from the elderly poshaandu in the village of Masawah, hypertension is the highest disease in the village of Masawah, especially in the elderly. On the other hand, hypotency is lower than hypertensive. The public’s performance of devoted activity is carried out in the village of Masawah, the cipeacock district. This public devotion was carried out from August 8 to September 8, 2022.  The object of this devotion was the rural community of Masawah especially the elderly. The purpose of this society’s devotion is to increase public knowledge about things related to hypertension and hypotension. The dedicated method of learning about hypertension and hypotension by including advanced village, community and cultural and cultural tools. Implement by direct examination of blood pressure, the transmission of materials for hypertension and hypotension, and explained that the majority of diseases that people suffer in the village of Masawah are hypertensive. Results from such educational activities promote public awareness of health care. In light of this educational activity, people have become better at understanding about things related to hypertension as well as hypotension and society can implement their daily knowledge by abstaining from all things that cause rise and fall in blood pressure
