Abstract

ABSTRACT This research was conducted in Desember 2017 to January 2018 in the Aquatic Aquaculture Technology Laboratory of Marine Fishery University of Riau. The aims of this determine was to growth and survival rate of Channa micropeltes fed Tubifex sp with different amounts. This research used a size aquarium 40 x 30 x 40 cm3 with a water height 10 cm for 12 units. The feed used in the form of Tubifex sp, given with dose of 5, 10, 15 and 20% from the body weight of the fish. The method used in this research was the experimental method of Completely Randomized Design (CRD) using one factor with 4 treatments  and 3 replications. The best treatment result is feeding with dose 20% body weight which can produce absolute weight growth rate (5,25 gram), absolute length growth (3,61 cm), growth of specific length (1,46%) and survival rate (86.67%). Water quality during the research was obtained pH 6.0-7.0, temperature 26-28 0C, DO 3,1-3,2 mg / L. These result of research growth and survival of Channa micropeltes fed Tubifex sp with different amounts gives a significant effect on the growth rate and survival Channa micropeltes. Keywords : Tubifex sp, Channa micropeltes, Growth and survival rate.

Abstract

ABSTRACT            Research was carried out on the 13 April to 22 May 2018 in the Aquaculture Technology Laboratory, Department of Aquaculture, Faculty of Fisheries and Marine University of Riau. The purpose of this study to determine the amount of molase for the growth of catfish (Clarias gariepinus) the biofloc. The research method which is using method of random (RAL) by a factor which consists of four stages of treatment used the C 10 (Molase 21 g), C 15 (Molase 35 g), C 20 (molase 48 g) and C 25 (molase 62 g). For the next 40 days the maintenance of the best in the provision of molase 62 g in the growth of seeds is absolute of 6,38 g, the length of the absolute 6,62 cm, the growth rate of specific 4,56%, efficient feed of 95,43%, survival rate  to 51,11% and volume floc 8,57 ml/l. And the quality of water for research which is the temperature 26-29,20C, pH 7,1-7,4, dissolved oxygen 3,63-6,63 ppm and ammonia 0,003-0,033. Keyword :Clarias gariepinus, Biofloc, Molase

Abstract

Abstract

ABSTRACT    Feed is one of the major operating in cultivation of mud crab (S. serrata).One aspect for attention in cultivation were feeds. This research aims to determine the optimal effect of the feed percentage on the growth of mud crab aquaculture(S. serrata).This research was conducted using Experimental Methods with completely randomized design (CRD), those is 4 treatments and 3 replications. Treatment A (3% feeds of the weight biomass), B (5% feeds of weight biomass), C (7% feeds of weight biomass feed, D (9% feeds of weight biomass).Animal testing used was mud crab (S. serrata) with an average initial weight of ±100 gr / individual.Animal testing used were 48 crabs and maintained in a plastic basket measuring (59 x 37 x 17 )cm3during 40 day. The results shows different feed percentages had a significant effect (P <0.05) on absolute weight growth, feed conversion, livelihood, moulting, but not significantly influence (P> 0.05) on SR mangrove crabs. The results shows that the best treatment for absolute weight growth was found in 7% feeding of biomass weight (P3), which was 80.00 g, specific growth rate of 1.53%, average moulting time of 18.66 days with survival rate 83 , 33%, and the best feed conversion is 4.10.Keywords :Mud crab; Food; Growth; Moulting; Life-long rate

Abstract

ABSTRACTThis research was conducted in Agustus to September 2018 in the Aquatic Aquaculture Technology Laboratory of Marine Fishery University of Riau. The aims of this research was to determine the growth and survival rate of Channa striata with different feeds. This research used a size aquarium 40 x 30 x40 cm3 with a waterin hight 10 cm for 12 units. The feed used in the form of Pellet, Earthworms, Blood worm, and Tubifex sp. given with dose of 60% from the body weight of thefish. The method used in this research was the experimental method of Completely Randomized Design (CRD) using one factor with 4 treatments and 3 replications. The best treatment result is feeding with Tubifex sp which can produce absolute weight growth rate (1,48 gram), absolute length growth (3,7 cm), growth of specific length (5,45%) and survival rate (97,22%). Water quality during the research was obtained of pH 6.0-7.0, temperature 26-28 0C, DO 3,9-5,4 mg/L and ammonia 0,01-0,05 mg/L. The result of research with different feeding significantly affected the growth of Channa striata, but did not significantly affect the survival of Channa striata. Giving Tubifex sp. is the best feeding to increase the growth of Channa striata. Keywords : Tubifex sp, Channa striata, Growth and survival rate.

Abstract

ABSTRACT             This research was conducted on September 2018 until October 2018 at Aquaculture Technology Laboratory of Fisheries and Marine, University Riau, Pekanbaru. The purpose of this experiment was to determine the optimal dose of dolomite CaMg(CO3)2) as pellet for intensity of moulting, growth and survival rate of vanname shrimp (Litopenaus vannamei). The research method use in this study was an experimented method and completely randomized design with five treatments and three replication. The treatments in this study were (P0) control, (P1) 2 mg/ kg, (P2) 3 mg/ kg pakan, (P3) 4 mg/ kg pakan, (P4) 5 mg/ kg. The result shown that adding dolomite at vanname shrimp’s feed of 3 mg/kg (P2) treatment of the best, especially moulting 132 ind, absolute growth weight 0,72 g, daily growth rate 1,57% and survival rate 95%. Water quality range at all treatments were the temperature range was from 28 to 310C, pH ranges was from 5 to 7, dissolved oxygen was from 4,1 to 6,2 mg/L, salinity was from 16 to 18 ppt and ammonia was around 0,00001-0,0053 mg//L.Keywords: Dolomite, moulting, Vanname shrimp.

Abstract

ABSTRACT Vaname Shrimp (Litopenaeus vannamei) is one of the cultivation commodities that have high economic value and is classified as easier to cultivate because it is more resistant to disease attacks.. Biofloc technology is one of the right technologies for intensive maintenance of shrimp. The research was conducted on April – May 2018, at the Laboratory of Technical Services Unit Aquaculture of Technology, Faculty of Fisheries and Marine University of Riau. This study aims to understand the best type of carbon source for the growth and survival of vaname shrimp with biofloc systems. This study used a completely randomized design (CRD) of one factor consisting of four levels of treatment with three replications. The treatment used in the addition of different carbon sources are a) Without giving carbon (control), b) Adding carbon sources from molasses, c) Adding carbon sources from tapioca flour, and d) Adding carbon sources from sugar. The results show that the best treatment was the addition of carbon molasses (b) in the maintenance medium which resulted in an absolute weight growth of 1,77 grams, a specific growth rate of 13,20%, and a survival rate of 96,67%. Water quality parameters such as temperature in all treatments  25.8-28.3 oC, pH  7.3 to 8.1, dissolved oxygen 5.3 to 8.3 mg /L.Keyword :Litopenaeus vannamei., Carbon source, Bioflock System, Brackish water

Abstract

ABSTRACT  This aims ofthe research was to find out the optimal dose of viternasupplement to increase the growth and survival of Vannamei shrimp (Litopaneaus vannamei) with recirculation systems. This research was carried out for 40 days in May - June 2019 held at Laboratory of Aquaculture Technology, Faculty of Fisheries and Marine, University of Riau. The design of this research is an experimental model using Completely Randomize Design Factorial pattern (RAL) of 1 factor, 5 treatment levels and 3 replications. The treatment level of this study was P0 (feed without the addition of viterna), P1 (addition of viterna 5 ml / kg of feed), P2 (addition of viterna 10 ml / kg of feed), P3 (addition of viterna 15 ml / kg of feed),P4(addition of viterna 20 ml / kg of feed). The best treatment is the treatment of (P3) additional viterna doses of 15 ml / kg of feed resulting in absolute weight growth of 1,412 g, specific growth recorded of 7,883%, feed efficiency 80,43% and survival rate of 98,33%. Water quality during the study was temperature ranging from 28-30oC, pH ranged from 7.4-7,8, dissolved oxygen (DO) ranged from 4,5 to 5,8 mg / L, and ammonia (NH3) ranged from 0.0057-0, 0096 mg / L. Keywords:Doses,Viterna, Growth,Vannamei shirmp.

Abstract

ABSTRACTIn the cultivation of soft shell crab (Scylla serrata), the duration of moulting is absolutely necessery. Moulting stimulation method of mud crab is the one way to increase soft shell crabproduction. This aims of the study was to determine the effect of eye ablation on the moulting duration of male mud crab. This study uses experimental method and Completely Randomized Design (CRD), which is 4 treatmen levels and 3 repetitions. This study uses 48 male mud crabs. Moulting stimulation methods in this study are right eye ablation, left eye ablation, right and left eye ablation and without ablation (control). Observed parameter includes length of sampling, specific growth rate, survival rate and water quality. The results showed that right eye ablation was the best treatment in accelerating the duration of moulting of 20 days, specific growth rate of 1.74%, and survival rate of 83.33%. Based on the results of the study concluded that the right eye ablation method is good to be applied in stimulating mud crab moulting in increasing the production of soft shell crab.  Keywords : moulting; ablation; moulting period; Growth; Survival Rate;Scylla serrata; Mud Crab

Abstract

ABSTRACT             Thisresearch was conducted on 24 November until 22 December 2018 at Aquaculture Technology Laboratory of Fisheries and Marine, University Riau, Pekanbaru. The purpose of thisDifferent Water Sources on Growth and Survival Rate Of  Baung Fish (Hemibagrus nemurus). The research method use in this study was an experimental method and completely randomized design with three treatments and five replication. The treatments in this study were 1=peat water, 2=clean water, 3=green water. The results showed treatment 3= green water. Absolute weight growth of 1,34 g, growth of absolute length 1,64 cm, daily growth rate of 0,031%, and survival rate of 100%. Keywords:Water Sources, baung fish, Growth
