Abstract

Analysis of material presentation is an activity in determining the validity and suitability of a textbook for educational institutions. In essence, textbooks are one of the factors that support the success of learning. However, another fact was found that textbooks can also be a factor causing poor learning progress. This study aims to provide an overview for educational institutions related to the textbooks studied which can be used as a reference for selecting textbooks. This research uses a qualitative approach with descriptive research type. The object of research is the book Nahwu Wadhih. Data collection techniques were carried out using library research and documentation. Data analysis was carried out using content analysis techniques. Based on the results of this study, from the selection aspect of the book Nahwu Wadhih it aims to familiarize beginners in learning Arabic through an effective model, it is common for educational institutions in Indonesia to complete learning the book Nahwu Wadih every volume for 1 academic year. Judging from the aspect of gradation, the book Nahwu Wadhih uses Rotary Gradation, the type of linguistic gradation is grammatical gradation. Judging from the presentation aspect, this book can be taught by teachers using all existing procedures. Judging from the repetition aspect, this book contains various tests in each chapter. Selection of inappropriate textbooks can cause difficulties for students and teachers. This study has limitations in the literature review because there are few studies using the same subject. For future researchers, it is advisable to carry out an analysis based on other theories as well because there is a possibility that this problem will change.Keywords: textbooks, nahwu wadhih, mackey theory

Abstract

This study aims to reveal lexical semantic errors in the translation of Arabic story texts by students of SMA Al-Aziz Islamic Boarding School (IBS) Bandung. Analysis was carried out on translation errors found in the semantic aspect which are called semantic errors. Many semantic errors were found in the translation of Arabic into Indonesian by previous studies, but there were less of specifications. Semantic errors focus on the use of meaning that is not by the intent in the source language. This study used a qualitative approach with descriptive methods and error analysis techniques. The error description was based on James' theory (2013) which resulted in the discovery of 65 semantic errors which were divided into two categories, confusion of sense relation and collocation errors. This research is expected to be a reference for developing students' translation skills.Keywords: Error analysis, Semantic error, Translation

Abstract

Psikologi pendidikan merupakan ilmu yang penting untuk dipelajari oleh para pendidik. Adapun tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk memahami pentingnya psikologi dalam pendidikan dan dapat mengetahui pengaruh dari psikologi terhadap pendidikan. Metode pengumpulan data menggunakan kajian literatur pada jurnal-jurnal dan buku-buku. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah sebagai berikut: (a) Psikologi pendidikan memiliki pengaruh besar terhadap pendidikan Islam. (b) Psikologi pendidikan dapat membantu pendidik untuk memahami karakteristik peserta didik, prinsip-prinsip belajar, dan faktor yang mempengaruhi belajar. Dengan memahami hal-hal tersebut, pendidik dapat memberikan pendidikan yang baik dan benar sesuai dengan nilai-nilai Islam. (3) Pendidikan Islam adalah pendidikan yang bertujuan untuk membentuk individu yang beriman, bertaqwa, dan berkahlak mulia. Kemudian dengan memahami konteks psikologi pendidikan pendidik dapat memberikan pendidikan yang lebih berkualitas dan mencapai tujuannya.

Abstract

Digital literacy skills become very important for life as the digital era develops (all digitalization). This is a challenge for Arabic language education students to improve their abilities in the digital field. One of them is digital writing using a laptop/computer. This is the basis of this research. This research aims to build a website-based Arabic typing test application as a means of practicing typing using Arabic letters. The method that researchers use in this research is the Research and Development (R&D) method using the ADDIE model. In the first stage of this research begins with analyzing needs through questionnaires to Arabic language education students at the Indonesian Education University (UPI). Then proceed with the development of the application with the name Pro-Typer.com. Then finally closed with the evaluation stage. This application can be accessed through the Pro-Typer.com link, the link at arab.upi.edu or through search engines such as Google. This application has four things that differentiate it from other applications, the first is the typing learning feature starting from per letter, word, to paragraph. Then the second feature is a test feature based on CEFR standards. Then, an integrated link on the official website of UPI Arabic language education students (arab.upi.edu). and the last is a column of criticism and suggestions.Abstrak: Kemampuan literasi digital menjadi sangat penting bagi kehidupan seiring berkembangnya era digital (serba digitalisasi). Hal tersebut menjadi tantangan bagi mahasiswa pendidikan bahasa Arab untuk meningkatkan kemampuannya di bidang digital. Salah satunya menulis digital menggunakan laptop/komputer. Hal tersebut menjadi dasar dari penelitian ini. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk membangun aplikasi typing test Bahasa arab berbasis website sebagai sarana berlatih mengetik menggunakan huruf Arab. Metode yang peneliti gunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode Research and Development (R&D) dengan menggunakan model ADDIE. Pada tahap pertama penelitian ini dimulai dengan Analisa kebutuhan melalui kuesioner kepada mahasiswa pendidikan bahasa Arab Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia (UPI). Lalu dilanjutkan dengan pembagunan aplikasi dengan nama Pro-Typer.com. Lalu terakhir ditutup dengan tahap evaluasi. Aplikasi ini bisa diakses melalui tautan Pro-Typer.com, tautan di arab.upi.edu ataupun lewat mesin pencari seperti Google. Aplikasi ini memiliki empat hal yang menjadi pembeda dengan aplikasi lain, pertama adalah fitur pembelajaran mengetik dari mulai per huruf, kata, hingga paragraf. Lalu fitur yang kedua adalah fitur test yang berdasarkan standar CEFR. Lalu, tautan terintegrasi di website resmi mahasiswa pendidikan bahasa Arab UPI (arab.upi.edu). Serta yang terakhir adalah kolom kritik dan saran.

Abstract

This research has a background in teacher quality problems that continue to be highlighted and its professionalism continues to be questioned by various elements. This study also aims to analyze and know more in depth about the management of the teacher working group (KKG) in improving the pedagogic competence of elementary school teachers in the Giriharja school cluster and the Manggahang school cluster Baleendah Subdistrict, Bandung Regency. The research method and procedure is to use a case study method with a qualitative approach, through data collection with interviews, to school principals, KKG administrators and teachers, documentation and observation studies during the KKG activities. The results and conclusions of this study are: (1) planning is prepared jointly by KKG management, teachers, principals and school supervisors by capturing input from parties related to school cluster activities, followed by group discussions to provide teachers with flexibility in determining needs the profession. (2) organizing is done by forming the management structure of KKKS and KKG, and then dividing the tasks and functions of each structure. (3) the implementation of the KKG program is adjusted to the program plans that have been prepared previously. (4) Evaluation is carried out when and after the program is implemented. Research Implications are: Management of the Teacher Working Group Program (KKG) runs according to the management function, but there are strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and challenges that need to be addressed by all parties so that the role of the GFC can improve teacher competency, especially pedagogic competence

Abstract

This study was conducted due to the issue of bilingualism that arises in the film Negeri 5 Menara in the form of code-switching and code-mixing. In the context of cinema, bilingualism serves as a social reflection, a narrative tool, and even a cultural strategy. This is important for understanding how language can reinforce and preserve cultural values in popular media. This research aims to analyze the phenomenon of bilingualism in the form of Arabic code switching and code mixing within Indonesian language speech in the film Negeri 5 Menara. This film was chosen because it explicitly portrays life in an Islamic boarding school. The research employs a descriptive qualitative method. The data consists of transcriptions of Indonesian speech that include Arabic code switching and code mixing. The data source for this research is the film Negeri 5 Menara, directed by Affandi Abdul Rachman. Data collection techniques include listening and transcription. The data were analyzed using data reduction, data presentation, data verification, and conclusion. The conclusion of this study reveals the phenomenon of bilingualism in this film, manifested in the form of external code switching and code mixing, as also observed in the novel. External code-switching from Indonesian to Arabic yielded 8 instances, consisting of words, phrases, and clauses, while outer code mixing within Indonesian speech resulted in 23 instances, comprising 14 words, four phrases, 3 clauses, and one blended form. The function of this code-switching and code-mixing is to demonstrate the characters' proficiency in using Arabic.

Abstract

This study aims to explore how Montessori didactic materials help elementary school students understand the concept of fractions. Using qualitative methods and a Design Didactic Research (DDR) approach, data were collected through classroom observations, semi-structured interviews with Montessori teachers, and documentation of student work. The data analysis technique used was thematic analysis, where the researcher identified patterns and main themes from the data collected. Triangulation was conducted to validate the research results by combining findings from interviews, observations, and documentation. The results showed that the use of concrete manipulative materials significantly improved students' understanding of fractions, developed problem-solving skills, and built a strong connection between abstract and real concepts. The teacher acts as a facilitator, allowing students to learn independently while still guiding them in the exploration process. This study concludes that the Montessori method is effective in teaching fractions at the primary school level, by providing a deep and meaningful learning experience for students.

Abstract

This study aims to compare the effectiveness of the Youtube Shorts feature with regular Youtube videos in teaching Arabic vocabulary. The research design employed is a literature review, where data were collected from various scholarly articles, research reports, and other relevant sources related to the utilization of both Youtube features in the learning context. Data analysis was conducted descriptively to evaluate the advantages and disadvantages of each feature based on aspects such as display design, time flexibility, and material accessibility. The results show that Youtube Shorts excels in capturing attention through interactive short videos but has limitations in delivering complex materials. Conversely, regular Youtube videos provide flexibility for more in-depth content delivery but require longer viewing times. This study recommends the synergistic use of both features, tailored to learning objectives and audience preferences, to enhance the effectiveness of Arabic vocabulary learning. Future studies are expected to conduct direct experiments with specific subjects to empirically evaluate learning outcomes.

Abstract

Penelitian ini menganalisis pengucapan makharijul huruf pada video TikTok milik kreator berinisial I.D, seorang penderita bibir sumbing unilateral, yang melantunkan Surat Al-Kahfi ayat 1-5. Studi ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji dampak kondisi cleft lip and palate terhadap pelafalan huruf-huruf bahasa Arab yang membutuhkan artikulasi bibir dan tenggorokan sesuai kaidah tajwid. Penelitian menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan teknik analisis konten terhadap video yang diunggah di TikTok, dengan data pendukung berupa jurnal dan penelitian relevan. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa terdapat beberapa gangguan dalam pelafalan huruf, terutama huruf-huruf yang membutuhkan penutupan bibir atau pengaturan aliran udara yang presisi. Huruf-huruf seperti ب  (ba), ف  (fa), dan ذ  (dzal) terdengar lemah akibat kesulitan dalam mengontrol tekanan udara atau menutup bibir secara sempurna. Pelafalan huruf ر (ra) cenderung menyerupai bunyi “L,” sedangkan huruf-huruf seperti ش (syin) yang bertasydid tidak ditahan sesuai panjang tasydidnya. Selain itu, huruf tenggorokan seperti خ (kha) dan ح (ha) terdengar kurang kuat dibandingkan standar pelafalan tajwid. Temuan ini mengindikasikan bahwa kondisi bibir sumbing memengaruhi kemampuan artikulasi suara, khususnya pada huruf-huruf yang membutuhkan makhraj spesifik. Meskipun demikian, upaya kreator I.D dalam melantunkan ayat Al-Qur'an melalui platform TikTok memberikan inspirasi dan menunjukkan bahwa keterbatasan fisik tidak menghalangi kontribusi dalam pembelajaran agama.

Abstract

The Sundanese Pegon script is a modified Arabic script used in writing Sundanese texts, especially in pesantren. It plays an important role in Islamic learning, allowing santri to understand religious texts in their own language. Over time, the Sundanese Pegon script underwent phonological and structural adaptations to suit the Sundanese language. This research examines the adaptation of Arabic script into Sundanese Pegon script in the book of Tijan al-Darari as part of cultural preservation and transmission of Islamic values. Qualitative research method with descriptive-analytical approach is used to analyze the phonological and morphological characteristics of Sundanese Pegon script in the manuscript. The results show that the Sundanese Pegon script underwent vowel and consonant adjustments to match Sundanese phonology. In addition, its visual and structural modifications reflect the combination of Islamic values and local culture. Thus, the Sundanese Pegon script not only functions as a means of communication, but also as a means of religious education and preservation of Sundanese cultural identity in the pesantren environment.
